The hotel's Twin Room is very spacious compared to many hotels in Japan. It is located in one of the busy areas and it take about 8 to 10 min walk to the subway. And it is one stop away from Nagoya Station. A good choice.

Great location and very accommodating staff. They even assisted us in getting taxi cab when we checked out. Another good point is everything a traveler needs were provided by the hotel - including slippers and sleeping robes. The only downside are the hotel needs a little updating and the aircon in our room does not cool so much. Likewise, the doorknob of the toilet in our room was defective. But over all, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the hotel.

Smelly rooms with a great view

It is impossible to open the windows in the hotel rooms, and the air conditioning doesn't bring in fresh air, the rooms smell stale and musty. The carpet is dirty.

I would have given this hotel a perfect score, however, for some reason, the air conditioning wasn't working that well at night at although we had the thermostat set to 22 degrees, it felt more like 26 degrees. It was quite warm and we had trouble sleeping and were sweating a bit. However, in the morning, the air conditioner was working fine and producing cold air. I would like the hotel to look into this problem because I would like to stay here in the future.

Travelled to Sendai to witness the devastation of the tsunami. Stayed at Dormy as used this chain before. We had fantastic service from Samjhana on Reception who helped us with our car parking. She spoke v good English and was extremely polite - an asset to the hotel.
Room was small as per usual and bed was a little hard but was ok for one night. Good wifi and nice breakfast with friendly staff. Close to large shopping mall with plenty of eateries. Would def stay again.

Good rooms and good location

Room was comfortable sized, clean and supplied with a good selection of toiletries. We requested for a non smoking room but got a room smelling of cigarettes but equipped with an air purifier and a linen spray. Fortunately, my asthmatic husband did not have an attack.
Hopefully the rooms will be upgraded as they are a bit dated.
We booked the hotel due to it's proximity to the airport bus stop at Tokyu Hotel next door. However, due to renovations at the Tokyu, the bus does not pick up passengers from there for the duration the hotel is closed.
Thanks to the hotel staff, we were able to locate the next nearest airport bus stop. It's at Oasis 21 Sakae. Less than 10 minutes walk from Best Western. Oasis 21 has a mall and is linked to Sakae subway station and bus terminal for easy access.

Nice hotel close to Sakaemachi station, walk distance to most of the popular area. Check in counter works 24hr. My flight was delay, I arrived hotel around 2am, they got the key ready n check in process is so efficient.
Room is comparatively big from the normal hotel in Japan.
Just a down side that I saw couple hairs in the bath tub.
After check out, I kept my luggage in hotel n the staff provide me info regarding to the eco day pass purchase n usage.

Rooms were clean and service was fine. Nightly rates were very affordable. Desk and chair in the room (single bed) were a bit small and not too comfortable to work at for long periods of time. WIFI and wired ethernet connections were not terribly reliable. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores right outside the hotel. Starbucks on the first floor. Sakae station on the Meijo line is a five minute walk, making it very easy to get to the hotel from Tokyo via the Shinkansen to Nagoya Station then Higashiyama line to Sakae. The Nagoya Pokémon is a 10 minute walk.

i stayed only for one night before my flight from Chubu. room has all the basics, it was clean, bathroom had all essential care/grooming stuff, bathtub. Shuttle bust to the airport leaves from the corner (from tokyo hotel) every hour, so convenient.

Small hotel, good for a couple nights

Our deluxe room seemed much darker and outdated than shown in pictures. We found the place fairly clean and comfortable for our two night stay. We had three people and they accommodated us by placing an extra bed in the room but in the end we found that unnecessary as two people could fit on one bed and the extra bed ended up being in the way. Our mistake though. The front desk staff were very nice and extremely helpful with finding restaurants for us and sending our bags to our next hotel. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

My molten brown went missing!

We stayed here for access to F1, got taxis easy to Nagoya Station for about £7, dennys minutes away and Starbucks inside for breakfast option that hotel, room was small, but everything you needed, though my molten brown shower gels x 2 went missing on my first day! Hoped they would turn up throughout my holiday, as didn't wan to accuse anyone but they didn't! Hope the cleaner enjoyed it!

Perfect for the American traveler.

For the American visitor, it provided the comfort and a little extra space in our room not normally found in comparably priced Nagoya hotels. The location and the Starbucks on street level were a plus. Great bathroom accommodations. We had a 13th floor room with a super view of the city, so ask for that when reserving a room. It was the perfect home for us during a week long stay.

Over all the hotel was good. Friendly and helpful staff, it was raining when we checked out and one staff even accompanied us to the taxi with an umbrella. The hotel was hard to find, even taxi drivers had a hard time finding it. The room was small though and smelled funky. No shuttle to airport or train station.

It is good to locate in nagoya main district.

It's first floor is starbuck coffee store so after sightseeing when I come back, the coffee's scent make us feel so good. And receptionist were very kind and speak English and korean well. I also satisfied with japanese styled breakfast.

Convenient to go around

The hotel is near subway Sakae station with around 5-min walking distance. The airport bus station is just the next block at Nagoya Tokyu Hotel, so we didn't need to carry our luggage a long way on the street. Spacious and comfortable room with two beds, only felt that the ventilation in bathroom was not good enough. Happy to have Starbucks on ground floor.

The room is quite small but not too bad compare to the other hotels in Japan I've been to. It takes only 5-7 minutes walk from Sakae subway station (exit12). Perfect location for all the convernience stores(Lawson, 7-11 an d family mart) there're a lot of coffee shop and restaurants closed by. (Starbucks just right down the building) there're the big malls around the area as well. Overall would rate as the convenient location. Worth for what we've paid for. Recommended!

The hotel is well located. 3-4 mins walk from the Sakae station. The staff are efficient and make checking in and out a breeze. They even brought my luggage up to my room when I came back from my short trip! This is very good customer service!! I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nagoya. The location is near many shopping malls too ao it's really a great place to stay.

This is my first time staying in Japan and I did lots of reading about hotels there, so I felt like I knew what to expect when it came to the size of the room. I was correct in my assumptions. There were three of us staying in the room, my wife and I and our adult daughter, so we had a room with a full size bed and a sofa sleeper. That left very little room for luggage and three bodies to move about. So other than the cramped space, which I was prepared for, our stay was fantastic. The bathroom had a lot of amenities and the bathtub was huge compared to the hotel I am currently staying at in Tokyo. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is great for dining and shopping and also close to public transportation. If I had friends coming to Nagoya I would definitely recommend this hotel.

7-10 minutes walk to Sakae Station

Just walk from exit 12 Sakae station, the hotel is located on the right with a short walk around 7-10 minutes. There are bunches of restaurants and convenient stores nearby so you won't feel insecure or inconvenient at night. The hotel is in a good walk to TV tower and many department stores within 1-2 km walk (if you are a walker). The room is pretty small but it's still upto Japanese size standard. We booked deluxe hollywood for 3 people. The beds are comfy and sizable however there was not much room for luggage which needs to be squeezed in.

A pleasant stay

We spent one night at the hotel and the feeling was quite positive. The receptionists were helpful and check-in was quick. It's located on the main street and only about 5 minutes' walk from the Sakae subway station. The room size was OK in Japan and basically got stuffs most guests need.

Convenient location, near train, shopping

Hotel was easy to find, Exit 12 from the subway. However, pulling our luggage through the crowd was challenging. It was a nice stroll everyday when we needed to travel around.
Hotel is near bus stop for airport express bus, the bus stop is nearer than subway.
We stayed 5 nights and only visited the reception at check in and check out. Not much interaction with staff.
The room was quite dusty. In the bathroom, there were dust on the lamp and ledges, at eye-level when using the sink. That was very unsightly to see that in a 4 star hotel.

The worst hotel we ever stayed in Japan!

You can hardly feel there is air conditioning in the room. There is a sort of air purifier/fan inside the room and you will know why after staying there for 10 minutes. Without the machine, you will sweat from head to toe. My husband was very upset about the hygiene and the condition of the hotel, we ended up check out after staying for one night instead of three as planned. All in all, u dont think this hotel deserve a 4~star, its more like 2~3 star. One night stay was ¥27,000 on Saturday which was unreasonable too!

Nice hotel in a great area.

The hotel is located in a prime location for traveling around Nagoya with ease. With access to the loop line being only five minutes away, you'll always be able to find something to do within a small commute.

The area around the hotel offers many things to do from food and drink to shopping. Oasis 21 is around 5-10 minutes away. Osu shopping area and shrine are around 15-20 minutes away.

With so much to do in this area I couldn't recommend this hotel enough as a perfect hotel for your stay in Nsgoya.

Stayed six nites in mid Dec 2015. Comfortable bed, spacious and quiet room. Good selection of shampoo, conditioner and shower set (same brand I experienced in another Japan spa hotel !), good smell of the suit spray placed in room. Tea bags are my favorite favor, and generous with four repalced each day. Tablet on table good for checking weather or food nearby. One little point is, don't expect too much on the English level of receptionists. We tried to get their help to call a local shop and asked about tax refund issue, turned out is when we got there expecting to get tax refund then found out the shop did not join tax refund scheme. Shop owner misunderstood from receptionist that we wanted to return the things we bought. Yet, receptionists were helpful in general. Excellent if coin operated washer and dryer were available. Lots of restaurants in nearby inner street, one is with baseball player as owner, tasted good for the fried pork with salad plus miso as sauce on it.
