This hotel has a great location! It has all different stories around it. It is very convenient for all the travelers. The bus right next to it will take all the travelers to airport is a great plus to this hotel! Their staffs are very friendly and helpful.

This was our second stay at Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka, which we chose again for its convenient location, access to transportation, and helpful staff. We enjoyed using the lap pool, but there is a separate fee for this as well as the spa facilities.

The service is top notched. The location is good . Kintesu line and mall just besides the hotel. Direct bus limousine from Kansai. 1800yen for adult and 900 yen for kids. Have been here 3 times for holidays over the past 15 years.

No air con!!!

First walking into the hotel the reception area looks amazing, however gets worse from there. Check in was self service and prefer a personal welcoming and what times the facilities are open etc. so had to ask at reception afterwards. The rooms and corridors once you get past reception are very outdated and in our room was just a small fan that could not be adjusted. Every other hotel room I have been in in Japan has had room air con, and not having this made sleeping very uncomfortable. Also getting ready in the morning after showering the whole room is sweltering and you just want to get out. It seemed only 2 out of the 4 elevators were working and there was a que every time to get in one and waited for what felt like forever. There seems to be lots of events going on at this hotel also one night there was hoards of school children and lift after lift could not get in. Another day there was hoards of business men and women. Finally we used the pool but had to wear a swimming cap, pay to use and also was separated into lanes so was for sport use only.
The pluses of the hotel were that the hotel staff were lovely and happy to help and the cleaners did a good job but overall would not come back here.

A great Upscale Hotel with high value

We were very pleased with this Sheraton property. It was very clean, comfortable, and up-to-date. Our room had a nice view of the city skyline, rather than neighborhood Skyline. The buffet in the morning is excellent, we had it two times. Although, we never tried the in-house Japanese or Chinese restaurants. The hotel is conveniently connected to the train station for ease of travel. And there is a Family Mart very nearby, which is amazing.

The neighborhood, Uehonmachi, is rather bustling. Many locals, business people, etc. But also travelers and foreigners. Somewhat nearby is Dotonbori and which is an amazing neighborhood. Don't miss it! You can walk it if you're feeling adventurous. About 25ish minutes, but late night, that walk seems to double. Better to take a taxi, 6 minutes.

Within walking distance are several delicious food options. The trick is to go off the beaten path and go to places where you might not be comfortable entering. That is, places that have no foreigners and no English language menus.That's where the good stuff is. There's a really good Chinese restaurant in the shopping plaza directly across from the hotel and the train station. But it's really really hard to find, I got sort of lucky that I even found it.

Another great Sheraton Property. The rooms a small, per Japan, but it was clean and felt upscale. The value was excellent. 4.75 stars.

For a 4-star hotel the stay was very underwhelming. The A/C was weak and couldn't be turned up. There was no temperature control and we were hot in our rooms for the entire stay. The pool costs money to enter and I was denied entry due to having a tattoo. I understand some tattoo policies in Japan, but for an international brand, that was truly disappointing not being able to join my family and friends in the pool. Also, the pool is advertised on Expedia as a hotel pool, but it was more of a pool for working out.

The location is in a great spot close to a lot of popular areas and the staff had great service, but the hotel itself is poor. Do yourself a favor and find a better spot to stay.

Think they spent all the money on the entrance
Rooms were like something from the 70s
And smelt of stale sweat ,they even had a can of air freshener in the wardrobe

No point complaining to reception as they weren’t too friendly

We love hotel and we have been staying in this hotel for years whenever we visit as it’s away from the busy tourist crowd with only 3 stops to namba station. Uenomachi station is convenient to move around with direct train to Kyoto and Nara. The hotel is linked to a small mall with food and supermarket. Hotel was kind and offered to upgrade us to a junior suite during our 8 nites stay. It’s indeed a comfortable trip for me and my husband.

The room we stayed first night was small and the sink wasn’t drain well this room was booked by our tour trips. Second night we booked the bigger room ourselves both rooms had a same problem with heating and air conditioning. My rooms were hot when we checked in, we called front desk to help us to adjusted our room temperature, they told us to open the windows to get fresh air. They told us the hotel was old so they heated the whole building with set temperature, only air conditioning can adjusted low, medium, high. We asked can we turn on the air conditioning but we been told don’t do that because the heat will come out not air??? We had to open the windows for both days. We never experienced anything like this with big chains likes Marriott, they should let people know their property conditions up front before customers book the room. Any one allergy sensitive be cautious to book your room here.

While the property on initial inspection is GORGEOUS, the staff took over 30 minutes to check me in. Apparently usage of their pool and gym is an extra cost on top of whatever you pay for your room. When I finally got to my room, it reeked of cigarettes. I got them to change my room. Once I finally got another room, it itself was ok. It is definitely not worth what I paid.

Thank you for the great hospitality! Room was clean and service was great! Received a complimentary cookies as a honeymoon gift from the hotel. We topped up for the international buffet breakfast and it was great! I personally like the Japanese station for the buffet breakfast. It is also convenient as there is an airport shuttle just outside the hotel which will bring you straight to Kansai international airport. Thank you Sheraton!

I enjoyed breakfast. Room was clean, but the bathroom was not cleaned properly; human hair and black dirts were floating when I put water in a bath tab. I had to quit to take a bath. Also, when I flushed toilet, water kept running all night.

The breakfast was good - plenty of selection. The room was clean but small and some fixtures are old and patched. The location is right above a train station which makes it convenient especially if you plan to use the kintetsu railway. Unfortunately the JRpass is not good here. The department stores in the train station provide a lot of dining options.

The staff was amazing! We travelled with 2 adults and 1 child age 10 years. Site states family friendly with a pool. But kids age 12 and under not allowed to use the pool. Also, you need to pay around 2000 yen per person per day to use it. Would not have booked this knowing hotel would charge for use and no kids allowed.

Disappointed by not able to use the Pool

Overall the staff was friendly and very helpful. I was travelling with a 5 year old, but I didn't know beforehand that the swimming pool is only allowed for over 12 years old. Also, there is a fee to use the gym and the pool. They don't inform you of this on their website, it is disappointing that they are not transparent about this information. The initial picture is very misleading, as its a picture of the swimming pool, I would not categorize this hotel as family friendly for that matter.

Was surprised the front desk personnel were not accommodating and their responses were like we do not do that or we don't know especially hearing in during checked-in after coming from a long trip. This continued with similar responses on the next 2 days and so we gave up to prevent being disappointed. However, the bellboy team was very helpful, and hopefully, they would follow in their footsteps.

I did not like the staff not speaking proper english, the room was too small for three people (2 adults and one child) and the proposal of three beds. Sheraton hotel needs renovation, it is too old by many aspects, it does not look like a 5-star hotel. The choice for international breakfast was limited.
I liked the kindness of trainee staff welcoming clients at breakfast/dining area.

Only bad thing was i was given a room all the way to the end which is a far walk from the lift and with an infant, she probably woke up every room we had to walk pass when she was crying. Disappointing Stay

We stayed in Sheraton Miyako Osaka a few years back and were quite impressed with the service, room and location. However, this time round, we stayed here on two occasions over 2 consecutive weeks and were disappointed. The staff were no longer as helpful or friendly. No one was there to help me with our big luggages, despite me having a young toddler with me. I also noticed they separated the locals and the Chinese in the morning breakfast restaurant. All Chinese were assigned to tables at far back and the staff were not prompt in clearing our used plates and cutlery. Food were not topped up promptly at the buffet line. And the room was old and didn’t seem to be a renovated one. It was a disappointing stay.

Perfect for shopping and travel to KIX airport

We just spent one night in Osaka and this came by a surprise. Price is very good (we paid 130 SGD), and location was suprisingly good too. Just two train stops from the main Nanba area (Dotonbori etc.), and you have a direct limousine bus to KIX in 50 minutes, right at the footsteps of the hotel.

Room / Facility...usual old Sheraton standard. The rooms and in-room facilities are a bit old, still clean enough and manageable
