Overpriced hotel, very far from the city. Staff unreliable as they do not respect privacy (scanned my friends passport and left it on the scanner and denied having this with them, which resulted in a big discussion until another desk clerk opened the scanner and found the passport)and will try to overcharge you (recalculate conversion fees from either USD/EUR to the current day rate) despite agrees fee conversion in IDR. Restaurant is overpriced for bad quality and portion size, non-English speaking staff. Ordered a paste dish with oil and sun-dried tomatoes and received one plate with 15 pieces of penne (serious) and half of a fresh cherry tomato. No sun-dried tomato at all. Pasta was less than dente...Total rip off really and not worth visiting.

What went wrong with Mercure simatpang Jakarta

So I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always been ok this time a noticable difference
1 ordered room service nothing arrived !!
2 tried to use the safe it didn’t work and it also wasn’t fixed in position so anyone could if it worked take the entire safe !!
3 yes there was a fridge but not plugged in !!!! Easy to fix just plug it in
4 tv no stations the antenna was unplugged fixed it. !!!
5 toilet hose leaked
6 parts of the sink decor damaged didn’t look great
7 sink plug didn’t work can’t hold water in sink
All in all the hotel is on the decline since my last visit seems no maintenance is done
8 used the gym the treadmill works but the stop and emergency stop don’t not an issue for me but someone may get injured if they can’t stop it
Probably won’t stay here again the hotel is in need of some regular maintenance I noticed that the room floor wasn’t cleaned or vacuumed during. 3 day stay ( as I had left some crumbs on the floor under the desk on day one and still there on day 3 )
And the towels had brown marks on and were not changed daily

The staff at the Mercure were very kind and super helpful. The breakfast was a great range and the coffee was good. The pool was not in action but the area up near the pool was a great spot to sit and watch the clouds roll through. The downside was that there was a lot of mold in the bathroom shower area, and the bathroom floors around the toilet and general area didn't seem as clean as they could be. Also, the shower was not pleasant to use - one shower head kept facing the wall and I had to hold it and the rain shower spurted everywhere.

Hotel is OK a bit run down. Found stains on the chair, and the shower tray also looks stain and worn down.

Asked for extra mineral water, they said it's chargeable and I said OK, but it never came up.

Bed is a bit hard as well. I guess you get what you pay for.

Enjoyable & Comfortable Stay (2 rooms, 4 nights)

A nice property with above average facilities - especially for the price. Staff are friendly & helpful & we enjoyed our stay & will certainly consider using the Mercure again. My only concern was the breakfast buffet that was not topped up (even when there was still 45 minutes till closing) & staple items like Orange juice kept changing (I think we had 3 different
types over 4 days). Also, the bedroom pillows are far too soft. Otherwise guestrooms are well appointed & comfortable.

Wonderful, quiet and clean.

Amazing service from mercure. Room was clean, double glazed panel windows to keep noise out. Heater, shower and everything works perfectly. The only turnoff was the construction outside which made it messy outside.

I was impressed by the politeness of the staff and condition of the room. The air con was not very cold but overall pleasant. But the swimming pool is very small. The hotel even covered part of the pool with canvas. I am not sure why. However, for the price of the hotel,it is value for money and i might stay here again

Nice hotel ~ good location.

I've stayed at this hotel twice - in Jan 2015 and recently Feb 2017. Although it is more catered for business clientelle, I have always enjoyed my stay there on my holiday/visiting family trip to Jkt. Location is good for where I needed to go to is accessible from 2 different direction. Also closer to the airport via Toll road. Staff is helpful, room is aleay clean. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Jkt.

A 4 star hotel with 3 star facilities

I stayed for 5 days at the hotel with my family ( my husband and a baby)
We were surprised because there were no bathtub in our room. And the next day when we wanted to take our baby swimming. The swimming pool was extremely small and the kids pool was more like a jacuzzi.
The buffet breakfast was lack of choices of food and there were no chair for small kids. They even forgot to serve us tea and coffee. And our omelet wasn't served.
Regardless of all, the staffs were friendly.

Generally, I am happy with the services. There are 2 disappointments during my stay though. First, the bed is too hard whereas the pillows barely offer any decent support, even when I stacked 2 of them. Second, I asked for plasters from the guest services because I cut my arm at work. I would gladly pay for them. I was told they would check and return my call, but that never happen.

Overall review my stay on 11-13/01/14 I feel great and as good as at home. The warmess of the welcoming of the hotel staff makes me feeling like my stay at this hotel haa been appreciate. Im so adore with thw cleanliness and comfort of the room that i stay. Futuremore the hotel security so well organize as I always feel safe as at home. The facilities that has been provide to the guest was outstanding. But sadly there is no breakfast include together in this package. .how sad?? I hope during my next stay there will be a breakfast included in this package so it wont be hassle fir my family to think about what we will have during breakfast on our next stay. Thank you

A week in the Mercure

Hotel was an oasis of calm in a traffic chocked city. ALL the staff very polite, knowledgeable and professional. The room was very comfortable with a good size TV and wide choice of programmes, including HBO channel. Bathroom was clean and functional. The only improvement I can think of would be to include instant coffee sachets in the room. Other than that, I couldn't recommend the Mercure, especially for the price, more highly!

I understand this is a new hotel. The location is not that fantastic, you have a walking distance Point Square mall, but it has nothing much to offer. Alternatively, you can hail a taxi to Pondok Indah Mall which is more exciting. The gym is rather small but it's good for business traveler who need some cardio workout. My only qualm is the room that I book does not have a proper workdesk with comfy chair. Breakfast spread was OK and the dinner at the hotel lobby was good.

Nice newly opened hotel but bad location

It is a new hotel opened only in Oct last year. Beautiful lobby but the hotel location is terrible. It is situated next to a highway and the access road to the main hotel entrance is badly jammed. We are on the opposite side of the hotel and have to make a U turn to get to the front entrance and was caught in a very bad crawling jam to enter the hotel. From our hotel room we can see that the jam will only ease after 11.00 pm. To avoid the bad traffic, we have no choice but to eat at the hotel cafe. Recommended is the oxtail meal.

I stayed this hotel for eight nights for business trip and I think the good point of this hotel is that their breakfast is good and there is a small gym but it's OK ,,plus staffs are very kind and I think room is quiet big enough compared with its price.
I didn't know this when I was at this hotel, but when my flight was cancelled and I went to S***s b***n Simatupang hotel near this hotel,,,, I realized that Mercure Jakarta Simatupang hotel is much cleaner!

나들목 주변으로 자동차 소음이 심한 편이며 호텔 복도는 카펫으로 마무리 되었으나 지저분하고 냄새도 많이 난다
내가 예약한 방은 금연 층이었으나 아쉽게도 냄새 냄새가 너무 많이 난다
룸 청소 상태는 깨끗한 편이지만 화장실 냄새는 피하지 못한듯하다
