There was no air conditioning in the entire building. The room A/C was broken and kept the room at about 80 degrees. The entire place was dirty. The room was dirty. The towels were stained. The bedding was stained. The roof leaked. There were bugs. This place is an absolute dump and should be condemned.

Our stay was a basic overnite stay, When we got to the room, it smelled like cigarette smoke. Bathroom wasn't clean, used towel hanging on the hook of bathroom door. Floors had not been vacuumed at all. Basically the only thing done was beds were made. As we went out to dinner, I stopped at the front desk and told them, all he said was he'd make note of it. Towel was still there when we got back from dinner. My mother and I did not feel comfortable in taking showers, because it just didn't look clean. Next morning I stopped in at front desk told the lady at desk, we got a I'm sorry but blame was put on new housekeepers. Although it was an overnite stay, our stay was not a good one. I DEFINITELY would NOT recommend or stay at this facility again. Very very dissatisfied.

Okay stay. The people were great. The room and facilities need a little updating. TP holder was broken, shampoo & conditioner holder was broken. Shelf in washroom needed refreshed. Minor items that should be an easy fix if they cared.
Bed was comfy and walls kept out most sounds from next door.

The bathroom smelled like pee. It was dirty and you could still see hair in the shower. The beds we made but it looked like the sheets were not changed from previous guest as there was hair on the sheets and pillows of one of the beds. The room had a pee and moisture smell that stayed in your clothes. We ended up leaving and stopping at another hotel to shower and get some actual rest. While staff where very nice the actual property needs a lot of work

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay then this is place but it's old (built 1970) and from way it looked not much has been done to upgrade it. There was no shower curtain had to ask at front desk. Valise over curtains in one corner was coming down. Breakfast was nothing like pictures. Coffee very watery. I had paid for a late check out and the room cards were shut down 45 mins prior to check out.

Location is great, within walking distance of the Old National Road Welcome Center where you can get your Chocolate Trail passport which is a fantastic experience. This property is in bad need of a overall remodel. The breakfast is not stocked very well. It is a shame attention has not been given to this property because it's location to dining, shopping and points of interest is great.

The beds were comfy but smelled mildewy, the 3rd floor specifically and the stairwell smelled strongly like pee I want ed to toss my cookies! We were excited for the pool but it was freezing (felt like about 20 degrees.) so my kids went in for about 15 min till they were cold to the bone and needed warm showers to get them warm before sleep. Breakfast was ok for a continental breakfast, but the front desk person seemed to be tending to everything so was not there to help 3 different guests upon our checkout and one customer walked in to the back to get milk cause it was empty and waited for at least 15 min.

There was food on the floor, the garage cans were extremely dirty and when I asked them to clean and return they put a clean bag in the can and return it still dirty with slimmy stuff in it, the eggs look like something in my granddaughter easy bake oven,,I asked for fresh towels the next day and they gave me stained towels, it was extremely terrible and I will never return there nor will I recommend anyone there this quality Inn needs to be seriously invested. The check-in rule on the booking page almost frightened me at first because it clearly stated check-in was only from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. There was heavy rain during my drive around 8:00 p.m., which slowed traffic a lot, and I still had about two and a half hours left to reach the inn.

I finally arrived around 11:10 pm. The clerk was friendly and helpful during check-in. At first glance, the room looked clean and comfortable, especially with the floral comforter I brought from home, which made the stay feel cozy.

However, the hallway smelled strongly of lemon cigarette smoke, and the room itself also had a heavy smoke smell. Unfortunately, the odor irritated my throat and made me uncomfortable.

Overall, the outside environment was clean and quiet. I think this inn is suitable for tired travelers who only need a place to stay for one night during a long drive. However, I would not recommend it for children or people who are sensitive to smoke or have health concerns.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment we checked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the entire building that resembled stale cigarette smoke. When we got to our room, things only got worse. The sheets had multiple visible stains, including a large one that appeared to be hidden under two layers of fitted sheets, which was especially concerning. There was also a white substance dripping down the nightstand, a broken closet shelf left on the floor, and even a hole in the wall. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained.
We brought this to the staff’s attention and were shown two additional rooms, but unfortunately, neither was acceptable. One of the alternative rooms had a strong odor resembling dog waste, which staff acknowledged may have been due to a previous guest with a dog. The third room was also in poor condition. The hallways were dirty as well, with visible dried stains that looked like spilled drinks left sitting for a long time, and the floors throughout the property didn’t appear to have been vacuumed in weeks. There was even an air freshener hanging from the AC unit in our room, which felt like an attempt to mask the odor rather than address the underlying cleanliness issues. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend staying here.

Cons: poorly maintained property, first room was leaking water from ceiling, moved to 2nd room and it had a door with a 1/8”-1/4” gap when closed that was not secure or private, 3rd room had an odor and one of the two beds had dirty sheets, just gave up and slept in the not so dirty bed. They shouldnt list that there is a pool because yes there is but it isnt maintained properly and the pool area itself is very run down. The room before the pool area has a pool table in it but the sofas are literally all shredded. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, but you could see water damage and cracks in the walls. The staff were friendly! Breakfast was ok, it fed the kids before we hit the road. Overall, you get what you pay for, i booked thru expedia so got it for $67/night. It did its purpose for aplace to sleep and cheap way to feed the kids breakfast. The kids were bummed about the pool but oh well life goes on!

No the property did not feel per feeling at all I paid a 50 dollar pet fee, and then was asked if I had paid the fee like 4 different times. The room was terrible the sheets were dirty the carpet didn't even go to the wall it looks like they have black mold. It was advertised as a nice hotel I feel like I spent 193 to stay at a 40 dollar a night motel. Definitely will never stay there again. I have pictures for proof as well

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful however, the place is completely dilapidated. Poor Plumbing. Rusty fixtures. Broken bathroom countertop held up by old cardboard boxes. Toilet won’t flush and had homemade modifications done to it to try to save money on the water bill. Walls were paper thin and the place was noisy. At least there was a roof over my head and warm water and a bar of soap.

Walked in to a musty smell. The elevator made me very uneasy, so we took the stairs from the 2nd floor every time. Luggage and all. Our room key kicked us out after the first night (we stayed two nights) so we had to go get a room key at 10pm when arriving back to the hotel. The bathroom was out of shampoo and conditioner so they just set the new bottles on the shelf instead of just changing the bottles out. Our bed had a flat sheet and a very thin blanket. There were non working AC unit out in the halls. We could hear everything through the walls, even people laughing. The employees live there and go back to their room for breaks so I was unable to find an employee multiple times. The breakfast consisted of frosted flakes and raisin bran and waffles. I was really disappointed in my stay and we will not be returning.

We just needed a room for the night while on a road trip. Easy on/off I70. They appear to be renovating. It was a nice hotel, clean and the staff was very friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and renovated. They had a broken sliding door in the lobby, repair man coming the next day but the lobby was very cold and that was where breakfast was. The breakfast was lacking. Waffles, prepackaged muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and dry cereal. Oatmeal packets with hot water would have added some. Great for a quick overnight.

Not only did we wake up to icicles on our window from the inside there was also dog poop down the hallway. You can’t tell me no one saw it when we heard the “supposed cleaners” out there. Also all the vending machines had barely anything in them & looked very dirty and old. On top of everything it snowed and there was no salt and people were slipping everywhere. My fiance,myself and our children will never stay here again. It is unsafe & very dirty. I wouldn’t even let my dog stay here, very dissatisfied & disappointed. Had to request different room because \"non smoking hotel\" room assigned recreaked of cigarette smoke.

Tables in breakfast area \"rocked\" when you used table top.
Pool maintenance was not effective. No lift to access pool.
Pool table felt torn numerous places. Only 3 balls available to play.
My room door lever hung as if open and had to be bolt locked to secure.
No room care from day one into day day 2. Wastepaper baskets not emptied. Towels not straightened or new ones placed.
luggage carts almost impossible to move. some you could pull but not push. others had to be pushed but couldn't be pulled.

I absolutely will not stay at this location in Richmond, IN again. What a disgrace to your reputation. This location should be razed.

This specific hotel was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. Floor two smelled like smoke and they blamed it on someone from a year ago. Entering room, there was garbage and crumbs on the floor and the sheets had holes in it. I then politely asked for a different room and then I was put on the first floor and yes it didn’t smell like smoke but the cleanliness was still awful. Ripped sheets and dirty floors, hair in sheets. The hotel staff blamed it on the dryer. As I can understand that… I’ve been to hundreds of hotels and they simply replace the sheets. I got to this hotel at 11pm and spent Monday on it and checked out 20 mins later and stayed at the best western instead. No refund yet.

Swimming? A Pool? Have you personally checked on those recently? Down stairs that are steep, Pool out of site out of mind. A lift to avoid the stairs is non functioning and the lift panel is broken and leaning inside the lift. Billiards room you walk thru to get there is dirty, unusable. You can't play pool on a table that the felt is worn nd torn in multiple places.

The room needs updated and \"around the edges\"cleaned.

So dirty you feel unclean while there and after leaving.

There’s a sign on the check-in desk declaring $150 would be charged for any indication, or smell, of smoking in the room, for any stains that couldn’t be laundered, for any missing linens, or for any damage to the room. As soon as we exited the elevator onto our floor which was non-smoking, we were knocked over by the smell of cigarette. Immediately upon walking into the room, the bedding had large unsightly stains. It was impossible to tell if it was unwashed or stained. The new bedding brought up by the front desk was the same. There were holes in the bathroom door, severely broken sink basin, and scores of damage done by pets.

The only positive I can say here is that the air unit worked and the mattresses had bug covers.

I booked here a few weeks prior, when I arrived I asked about the pool as it was the main reason I booked this hotel. They said it was closed and wouldn’t be running until the next week, they also charged a $150 deposit for any damages such as linens, walls, etc. when I got to my room, there was some black marks on the top “decor sheet as the receptionist claimed” and when I asked for a new one she proceeded to say she didn’t have any. I wanted them aware as I will refuse to pay the $150 for damages that weren’t even done by me. Day time and night time receptionist weren’t pleasant to deal with. Then I was looking at the side of the one bed and it had brown marks on it. It isn’t a clean hotel and not very nice staff. Won’t be booking agai!

On 06/2025, I spent 2 nights at Sleep Inn, Indianapolis, IN. I got a spacious 1 bedroom. It was clean. I did NOT see any bugs so I felt very comfortable. The location appeared to be safe. The parking can get crowded but more parking spots on the side and back of hotel (no parking fee). Breakfast on both days had scrambled eggs, breakfast sausages, waffle maker and cereal. 24 hour staff and check out was very convenient. I had a pleasant stay.

The hotel was what we expected for the 1 night we were there. Had we needed an extended stay would not have stayed. The hotel needs updated, and there is an awful smell. The free breakfast was minimal and anything not in a prepackaged container did not look edible.

Would not recommend!

Stayed with our family of 6 in two rooms. Check-in was overly complicated. Property was grungy and dirty overall. Smelled like cigarettes throughout. Elevators were shaking and sketchy. A/C must have been busted inside the halls and it was hotter and muggier than outside. A/C in rooms took a long while to get up to temp and the shower took almost 15 minutes to get warm.
The beds were overall uncomfortable. One of our rooms had a busted doorstop and hole in the wall where it used to be.
Lots of truck divers and construction dudes staying at the hotel made my daughters very nervous.

“Free” breakfast was not anything like what is advertised other than some waffle machines. Little to no selection of any decent food.

Overall vibe was very gross and I would never recommend this to anyone. Photos are very deceiving and I wished I had read reviews more carefully beforehand.
