Run down hotel in a terrible location

This hotel is run down and the management doesn’t seem genuinely interested in updating it. The shower door fell off, the AC wasn’t functional, the wifi cut in and out, the paint on the walls needed serious help, and the management’s response was to give me a hard time for leaving them a bad review on google. Breakfast is also not great and it costs more than the 6 euros they list online. The location is also terrible. You are right around the corner from a huge factory wasteland, and though Taranto is close, there is nowhere to eat within walking distance and Taranto is a hellhole for drivers (the worst I’ve ever experienced in Europe). All in all, this place is a polished dump, not at all like how they present it

Thieves Run This Hotel

Arrived to be advised that hotel air-conditioning NOT functioning on a day with temperatures well over 30c. I did NOT accept offer to stay in room away from sun with fans. Front manager cancelled my reservation, and provided cancellation number. Have tried multiple times through HOTELS.COM who take NO responsibility who say Hotel mgmt. refuses to even acknowledge their request for refund.

Can only say that thieves run this hotel (and my first review in years of using HOTELS.COM)

The lady at the reception is very very friendly, the hotel is a little out of town, you park the car behind the hotel fence and it is safe.
Positive opinion about the hotel, considering where you are in the south of Italy.
If I can ever return to the city of Taranto I will sleep again in this hotel.

The endless beach of Lido Azzurro

The hotel is located outside the town of Taranto ( approx. 15 min drive ) in the section called Lido Azzurro. We came in after dark so only the next day we were able to see and appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. Although it has a view of the industrial part of Taranto on one side....but to the south of it it’s a gorgeous beach which goes on till the horizon.

Comfortable but slightly shabby. Great pool but hotel were reluctant to let use it saying it was too cold. We swam in the sea instead. Great beach. Hotel situated some way out of Taranto - you need a car to get around. Food in restaurant ok but beds very comfortable.

We stayed for five nights and the swimming pool was closed for cleaning throughout our stay. The AirCon in our room was very poor and this detracted form our enjoyment of what was otherwise a nice, clean hotel

Once is enough

Sounds great being on coast of the Mediterranean Sea in Southern Italy, however it is tricky to find even with a GPS and right in the heart of an industrial port. The staff was unfriendly and dismissive.

Rent och snyggt. Bra rum och trevligt polområde. Stranden i anslutning lite skräpig. Bad i polen tidsbegränsad kl.9-19 och krävdes badmössa som kan köpas på hotellet. Underhållning med hög musik och lekar stora delar av dagen och kvällen. (På Italienska.) Restaurangen på hotellet ej prisvärd. Bra med parkering i anslutning till entrén. Zona Industrial ligger mellan Hotellet och Taranto.

Hotel un peu vieux. Loin de Tarento (15 minutes en voiture) pas grand chose de disponible à proximité. Balcon sans chaises pour s'assoir. Points positifs: très belle piscine, accès direct à la plage, employés très dévoués, chambre très propre, bon petit déjeuner.

Hotellet fremstod slidt, både værelse og udendørsomgivelser. Beliggenheden ved havet var dejlig, men selve området var trist, beskidt og ikke rigtig trygt. Poolen var dejlig, der var masser af solstole og plads. Restauranten var ret kedelig og udvalget begrænset.

Keep it simple

Das Zimmer war recht spartanisch eingerichtet was aber nicht wirklich störte.
Jedoch erwarte ich von einem 4* Hotel in Sachen Sauberkeit etwas mehr. (Badezimmer Reste des Vorgängers). Desweiteren waren die Balkontüren recht bescheiden zu öffnen und der Balkon über meinem sah von unten auch nicht mehr so stabil aus.
Das \"Frühstück\" war mehr als wenig und am Ende servierte man ein gekochtes Ei vom Vortag ein Orangensaft im Plastikbecher und ein sehr leckeres Croissant.

Séjour d’une nuit, personnel pas aimable mais vue et piscine sont un vrai plus. Tarente n’est pas terrible donc dormir dans un hôtel avec ces atouts est primordial. Ok pour une nuit mais pas plus.

Scrivo per tutti coloro che soffrono di INTOLLERANZE ALIMENTARI! ottimo servizio! Ho viaggiato tanto, ma mai mi era capitato di non dovere usufruire dei miei prodotti portati da casa! Il menù al ristorante specifica eventuali tracce di cibo per le intolleranze, oltre a servire il pane senza glutine. La colazione abbondantissima, tantissimi prodotti gluten free e lactos free! Servono anche il latte senza lattosio. Davvero complimenti!
Per il resto, la struttura è zona lido, a 10km dal centro di taranto. Offre piscina, bar e tabaccheria, ma se nn avete la macchina, vivrete solo il resort xche’ attorno non c’è nulla.
Il personale nella zona ristorante: tutti sorridenti e disponibili.
La stanza si presenta come in foto, con servizio wifi e aria condizionata.
Avrei preferito trovare 4 cuscini come in tutti gli hotel, ma questa è una mia preferenza.
Nel complesso siamo soddisfatti!

Fantastico inizio di giornata

Una sola notte per lavoro, l'albergo è situato propsio sul mare, con una bellissima vista, una piscina e intorno una zona molto tranquilla.
Fare colazione a due passi dal mare guardando le onde è davvero bellissimo.

We had a nice stay for 2 nights. The hotel is located in a remote area, however the conditions were good and the staff did their best to answer our questions etc. We didn't eat at the restaurant, we had only breakfast. We could not use the nice swiming pool without the cap that you can buy from them - we didn't know about the rule.

N'y allez pas !

L'hôtel est proche des stations de forage. L'accueil a été inexistant. La chambre est grande, propre. Cependant le mobilier et la décoration en général auraient besoin d'un grand coup de rafraichissement. Attention, les chambres sont très mal insonorisées. La piscine de l'hôtel doit être le \"trésor\" du gérant. Personne dans l'eau et pour cause : il faut porter un bonnet de bain. Nous nous sommes faits sortir de la piscine de façon fort peu aimable. Un règlement est affiché à l'intérieur de l'hôtel. Il est en italien. Il est plus stricte que le règlement de la piscine municipale. Nous avons donc voulu nous rendre sur la plage qui est attenante à l'hôtel. Les abords et le chemin sont jonchés de détritus. Cela donne un air de bidonville. Le petit déjeuner est un autre grand moment. Cela se passe dans la salle de restaurant. Seulement 7 tables de \"préparées\" pour 60 chambres. Les tables n'étaient pas débarrassées. Il fallait pousser les couverts des gens précédents sur le coté. Il fallait ensuite demander : des couverts, puis une tasse, puis tout simplement à manger car il n'y avait rien. La serveuse ne parlait qu'italien. Il y a des échanges \"musclés\" avec des clients. L'apothéose reste pour notre dernier soir. Le gérant loue son extérieur à des particuliers. Une jeune fille fétait son anniversaire. Il y avait une trentaine d'adolescente, un DJ. Musique tonitruante jusqu'à 4h du matin et tout le petit monde dans la piscine (sans bonnet bien sûr !)

Frühstücksbüffet; absolutes Minimum, 4-Sterne unwürdig
Umgebung: ausser Hotel weit und breit nix mehr
WLAN; sollte vorhanden sein, hat auch mit Passwort nie funktioniert
So bringt man eine Hotelkette um ihren guten Ruf, ich kenne Best Western anders.

Una vacanza di relax tra mare e archeologia

L'hotel molto pulito ed elegante e la piscina altrettanto bella. Tutto molto semplice ma funzionale, ed il mare è veramente a 50 metri dalle camere. Il ristorante semplicemente squisito con un personale di sala educato e gentile e professionale.
Il personale all'accettazione un po' meno cortese a volte, ma per il resto tutto ok per una vacanza tranquilla all'insegna del relax.

Piacevole soggiorno

La struttura è proprio bella: ampio parcheggio, spazi all'aperto, arredi moderni, piscina sul mare, cura dei dettagli; climatizzazione eccellente (tutte macchine Daikin moderne). Purtroppo si trova in una posizione infelice. A parte la vista sulle raffinerie di Taranto, Lido Azzurro è davvero un postaccio, sembra un quartiere degradato, in preda all'abusivismo edilizio e alla sporcizia. L'hotel costituisce un'oasi felice, ci si chiede cosa c'entri una struttura cosi carina in un circondario così malfamato. Quindi, nessuna passeggiata a piedi è consigliata al di fuori dell'albergo. Non mi sento di consigliare questo hotel a chi intende farsi una settimana di vacanza. Ma per un breve soggiorno a bordo piscina, col mare proprio là, a prezzi competitivi, questo hotel è adattissimo!
