Everything about this property is amazing! Rooms, comfort, breakfast, friendliness, helpfulness… The hotel arranged a taxi for us from the train station and to buy bus tickets. They were able to get us tickets to all the Chestnut Festival activities.

Wonderful property with 17th century roots. Short walk to medieval town centre and surrounding panoramic views of countryside. Bring walking shoes since all streets are up and down, and no elevators inside buildings. Easy access to good food and wine all over town including at the Palazzo.

Parking on the street was easy. Though the steep walk uphill to the hotel would be a challenge for some, we found it delightful and hotel staff informed us that they have a luggage transfer service for people who arrrive with heavy bags.
Room was lovely and the ktichenette was one of the best supplied we have ever seen, including utensils, pans, and plenty of dishes.

I feel really confused by this hotel. It seems like the furniture that’s in the pictures was swapped out afterwards for cookie cutter hotel furniture.
I asked about where to eat in the area as it was my last night and was told the hotel restaurant was nice. I was skeptical but saw there was Michelin acknowledgment and good reviews so I tried it. It was incredibly, unbelievably bad. A panazella salad that was celery and grey tomatoes?. Only only choice for wine and it was an acidic 30€ Cabernet Sauvignon? There was no one in the kitchen except two people. I actually cancelled my dinner half way through because I was just getting angry. The whole stay felt like I was on a weird hidden camera show. I will say the rooms are large and the pool is incredible though.

The property is very close to several churches, museums and the castle. Some of the ammenities like the pool, jacuzzi, spa are closed due to maintenance, and the parking lot is not on site, some walking required. The breakfast quality and selection were excellent!

This was the cleanest, friendliest, most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The value was absolutely worth it. Our room was beautiful, quiet and private with a stunning view. The breakfast that is included in the morning was top notch. The staff was kind and helpful!

Everything was perfect here. The only difficulty was to find the hotel. If you are driving you need to park on a nearby street and walk there. Then they directed us to the parking lot to leave the car over night and we had to walk to the hotel. The will carry all of our luggage on a little van that they have.

We also had a small problem with not getting any cold water in the shower but it wasn't a big deal.
The rest was pleasant. We enjoyed the views, the restaurant, and the room. We had a wonderful time here.

We were hesitant to book here because so many reviews complained about the steep walk from the parking lot. It is a four minute walk up or down. We are in our mid seventies and had no problem. The whole town is somewhat steep so if you have serious mobility problems, this is probably not the place to visit. The hotel employees were all lovely and they handled the luggage. The town is charming with many good restaurants. We loved our stay in this charming and very affordable hotel.

Such a beautiful resort. Absolutely breathtaking. The staff were all so amazing and helpful. Rome was about 1.5 - 2 hours away by transit but it was so worth it to stay at this resort. Very easy to take the transit. Very authentic Italian and lots of shopping and restaurants near by. This resort is up on a high hill that cars cannot go up so be prepared to walk up a step hill or 2 but worth it!

Palazzo Catalani Resort was an amazing hotel settled on top of a hill overlooking the quint Italian city streets with amazing views on the Orsini Castle. If you ever wanted to experience what it is like to live like a local Italian in a small city surrounded by ancient buildings, coffee shops and churches, this is the perfect setting. The actual resort covers a large area with breathtaking views from every angle. The rook top garden is especially amazing with gardens and seats everywhere situated with a view of the surrounding area. Pictures do NOT do it justice. The rooms themselves have been remodeled with all the modern amenities but some of the medieval door hardware, wardrobes and styling is straight out of the renaissance. Perfect combination of old and new. We were in Room 7 which was had a living room, dining room/kitchen, with 2 bedrooms (2 twin and 1 queen) with a full shower (no tub) bathroom as well as a ½ bath in the master room. The only issue was parking- BUT as soon as you figured it out it was simple. The public parking lot is less than a 5-minute walk and the steward helps you when you arrive and takes your luggage to your room- just call when you get there. Highly recommend for a piece of authentic Italian living on your vacation.

Remind yourself that the view is worth it.

We were here 13 years ago and loved the place so much we returned at great expense and distance from our other plans. On our return we were pleased to see it was still the same charing place and the views and surrounding city are breathtaking.
The problem with nothing changing is stuff like the internet. We still had the same old login setup as 13 years ago, with only 2 devices allowed for snail-speeds, and on the day of our checkout (at midnight), the internet shut off for us completely!
The complementary breakfast is a total joke now too. (I added a picture of what they call a buffet breakfast.) You're handed a menu when you are seated where you can purchase eggs, bacon, or anything like that, but at very high prices. (That wasn't the case before and it was very upsetting! It's pointless to call what they include a breakfast at all.)
Or bed was a pull-out and that wasn't mentioned in our booking! NOT HAPPY... but as far as pull-outs go, it wasn't too bad. Still... Over $100 for that!?

My wife and I can’t thank the staff at the hotel enough for making our trip wonderful and easy. The town is beautiful and a wonderful jumping off point for exploring the ancient Etruscan landscape. The rooms were clean and wel maintained, the restaurant was fantastic for dinner and the spa was really nice.

Exctional hotel - better than some 5 star hotels

The hotel is not so easy to find as it's located in the side streets and you have to walk to it but the lady at reception guided us to the hotel and told us where we can park for free.

The hotel is very covid friendly, they are honestly doing everything they can to keep themselves and guests safe. I saw one of the workers walking around sanitizing the whole hotel (from the corridor to the outside area). All employees wear a mask at all times and keep their distance. Everything in the room has been cleaned and put in bags.

In my opinion the hotel should be 5 star with exceptional service.

Palazzo Catalani and the sister property located in the building across the cobblestone lane, Palazzo Soriano are exceptional! We lucked out wth weather the first week of February and enjoyed high temps in the 50 degree F all week. Perhaps because of the time of year and lower occupancy, we were provided an upgraded unit and it had 2 bedroms and 2 baths though we booked a 1 bedroom apartment, so muh space! The staff was exceptional and always willing to suggest ideas of places to visit amd they became like friends. Not to be overlooked, the on-site restaraunt was the best place we ate in Italy throughout our 9 day trip. Chef Roberto runs the restaraunt, taking orders, providing recommendations on dishes and then preparing the food himself, and it is truly fantastic and not to be missed! He even makes his own cheeses! Soriano is a very hilly town so be prepared to wal up some steep inclines...but so worth it!!

Palazzo Catalini is a lovely unique place to stay. It is a beautiful old building with a great deal of charm.It is situated in a beautiful countryside location and is peaceful and well managed by a lovely team of people. Restaurant worth a visit.
Parking is available nearby but the access to the resort reception is very steep and cobbled.

We had an interesting time finding the hotel and car park as the roads in Italy are not always marked. Once we got there, the ever helpful Raul showed us best place to park and delivered our luggage. Room was wonderful and had all that we needed. Great view. Some good restaurants and cafes nearby. Grotto restaurant well worth a visit. Orsini castle with its gramophones took us back to another era.
Hotel staff wonderful. Town central to lots of locations. Would come again.

We started with noticing great service, but bad booking-choice when picking the cheaper rooms. Once arrived we got offered to upgrade from fan-equipped top-floor room to an air-con equipped 2 room apartment for 15 EUR per night. The diff was incredible and was totally worth it. Felt like at home, maybe even better :)
Great location, great restaurant, a lots of services (not free though). All was great just for extra 15EUR per night. Tips reg restaurants were also great, but once again - the real deal is their own restaurant. Also a great choice of vine selected by chef on behalf of you depending on what you have ordered. For the daily menu you must arrive on time (20:00 sharp). One day we even stayed indoors just to relax - that's how great the room was.

Pure luxury in a charming, hill-town property

This is without a doubt the most luxurious and comfortable suite we've ever stayed in. Jean Paul (at the front desk) said that it had recently been renovated and this money was obviously well-spent. We had a full kitchen, a dining area with a lovely view over the hillside town, and a spacious bathroom. All were immaculately clean.
The bed was worth the price of our stay alone - ultra king-size with a premium quality mattress and large, comfortable pillows. If we could give the suite more than 5 stars for comfort, we would. The hotel was also very quiet at night so we had a restful sleep.
Staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful.
We had only two minor issues. One was that my husband bumped his head on the wall that extends over part of the shower. Most likely the shower's been designed to take advantage of natural features of the building, but this makes it a hazard for guests 6 feet or taller who want to move naturally in the shower. Also, it took exceptionally long for the water to become hot (about 5 minutes), which bothered us because quite a lot of cold water is wasted.
It's a bit awkward to reach the hotel since you have to climb up a steep hill to reach the front desk. Since the valet is happy to drive your luggage up the hill, though, this isn't really a problem. Also, it gives you a chance to take in the charm of the surrounding town while you walk up.

Sehr schöne Zimmer.
Parkplatz ist etwas schwierig zu finden. Hotel ist etwas versteckt. Aber mit Google Maps auf Fußgänger einfach zu finden. Wenn in der Tiefgarage Platz ist, sind es nur 2 Minuten bergauf laufen.

Minha esposa e eu passamos uma noite neste hotel e tivemos uma experiência incrível. Desde o início, o atendimento foi impecável: entramos em contato por e-mail para esclarecer dúvidas sobre o acesso ao hotel e a presença de ZTL (Zona de Tráfego Limitado), já que estaríamos de carro. A resposta foi extremamente rápida e eficiente, e o hotel está localizado fora da área ZTL, o que facilitou muito nosso deslocamento.

Quanto à nossa estadia, o quarto superou nossas expectativas. Era espaçoso, com um design sofisticado e acolhedor, e o banheiro e closet eram amplos e bem equipados. A limpeza e o conforto estavam em altíssimo nível. O café da manhã também merece destaque, com uma variedade de opções frescas e deliciosas que agradaram a todos os gostos.

Outro ponto que realmente nos encantou foi a vista do quarto: tivemos o privilégio de contemplar o castelo da cidade, o que tornou nossa estadia ainda mais especial.

Sem dúvida, a experiência foi memorável e recomendamos o hotel a todos que buscam conforto, excelente atendimento e uma localização prática.

O Hotel localizado em em uma pequena localidade na região de Viterbo tem uma estrutura semelhante a um castelo, muito bonito, limpo e confortavel, cafe da manhã bom, bom atendimento. No entanto, ele fica no alto de uma ladeira incrime, que não da acesso a carro, as malas sobem em um pequena automovel (que tem horario para funcionar, tivemos que aguardar um pouco) os hospedes devem subir andando, ficando dificili para quem tem dificulddae de locomoção. Tem restaurantes e pequenos mercados proximo, mas lembre a maioria fecha entre 15h e 19:30h, como grande parte da Italia. Existe estacionamento proximo

Bella struttura, piccoli miglioramenti da attuare

Appena arrivati abbiamo parcheggiato in un parcheggio pubblico a circa 400m dalla struttura, che si deve raggiungere poi a piedi. Comodo il servizio di pick up dei bagagli.
La struttura è molto bella. Mentalmente pronti per un pomeriggio di relax in spa, veniamo avvisati al check in che la spa era full e che andava prenotata in anticipo a causa dell’esaurimento dei posti.
Arrivati in camera ci accorgiamo che lo split non produceva aria calda e che il termosifone del bagno era rotto: non ci hanno cambiato camera ma fornito gentilmente una stufetta elettrica con la quale abbiamo potuto passare la notte. Tuttavia apprezzabile la disponibilità del personale nel trovare una soluzione.
Colazione buona e variegata.

Abbiamo soggiornato in un appartamento spazioso, dotato di ogni comfort. Ottima la colazione e veramente gentile ed efficiente tutto lo staff. È una struttura che ha cura anche dell’impatto ambientale. Consigliata!

Prenoto appartamento (superior) che presenta alcune foto e per fortuna anche una metratura dichiarata di 50m2. La metratura è un dato oggettivo, qualcuno direbbe quantitativo.

Mi mettono in una stanza tremenda, forse la basic, in un altro edifico molto piu brutto del principale.
Faccio notare la cosa alla reception. Con tanto di screenshot, della prenotazione e del fatto che la camera differisca tantissimo nelle foto e nelle dimensioni (sara stata un 25m2 circa, ma era proprio brutta. Letto sull angolo cottura. Da vomito. A me peraltro l angolo cottura non serviva).Mi fanno notare che non ho pagato molto.
Io dico, ho preso la camera piu costosa che avevate su hotels.com.
Non è colpa mia se la vendete a poco.
Il receptionist mi fa tutto un sermone sugli albeghi negli edifici storici, che ogni camera è diversa dalle altre etc.
Gli faccio capire che so come funziona. Niente, è scettico.
Sarebbe carino, se non si e in grado di capire la persona che si ha davanti dare una googlata al nome, casomai uno trova un profilo linkedin e realizza. Nell'anno comunque credo avrò speso un importo a 5 cifre per le vacanze in hotel, con una media di 400-500e a notte.
Se ho voluto passare due notti a Soriano nel Cimino, ho prenotato tramite hotels.com la camera piu costosa perche devo essere downgradato?

Struttura bellissima nel centro storico. Non si può parcheggiare e si arriva solo a piedi però fanno il servizio bagagli (arriva un dipendente della struttura a prendere i bagagli direttamente dove si è parcheggiata l’auto). Colazione spettacolare.
