We were greeted at the reception by a friendly lady and even though we were early, we got to check in. There was a welcoming plate of cookies at the reception which proved to be a delight for my daughter. We got a family
accommodation and it was two separate rooms with separate bathrooms. Pleasantly surprised by that. Very clean rooms. The walking distance to places was close enough - to the train station, to the river and to the city centre.

In all a great hotel and I would recommend. Just a few things that, for me let it down just a bit. We were placed in a disabled/ accessible room. It meant we had a huge shower but also bars. I didn't book an accessible room, so why wasn't I given a choice. The garage was rather dark, my wife didn't like it there. And finally sone of the upstairs hallways were dingy too, certainly some better LED lighting would help.
That said, food was really good, although we only had breakfast, huge selection and tasty, staff were always very helpful.

Fantastic location

A very well located hotel for us to explore the area of both Germany and Austria! Excellent breakfast buffet and the breakfast staff were fantastic.

Our room itself was functional but had excellent storage space and a wonderful view from the balcony! Perhaps in need of a bit of modernising in the room and definitely need better pillows, sorry! The Rituals products in the bathroom were a lovely touch, as was the gift on my birthday.

We visited the pool once and again, it maybe needs just a bit of modernising. Our kids loved having the play park!

The one thing I would perhaps suggest is that €10 per night for parking is excessive. Between this and city tax, it added an extra €100 to our bill on check out for a 6 night stay. There is absolutely no alternative in the area for parking and even €5 per night would have felt more acceptable.

Overall a brilliant stay in a beautiful part of the world and we would definitely stay again, despite my points above.

This hotel is for families or old people looking for a quiet weekend. Our suite had no air conditioning, so we had to keep the windows open for ventilation, which allowed flies to come in. It was a warm night and the only option for sheets was a comforter. The bathroom had a shower with the tub that was very difficult to access had no slip resistant mats. The breakfast had lots of variety, but the quality was average. Very few plugs for recharging our many electronic devices. The people at the front desk were friendly and efficient. If this hotel would be modernized and the food improved it could be excellent. It is in a lovely location.

This hotel has basic decor. If you’re after luxury, look elsewhere. Think Army barracks level of decor.
Breakfast was ok, but the scrambled eggs were congealed and could only be served in slices.
The hotel was comfortable enough and the staff polite, but they let me down badly during my extraction to the airport.
I requested a reliable taxi for 04:30hrs at the latest to get to Salzburg Airport on time for my flight. I specifically said he can not be late.
Taxi arrived at 04:55hrs, nearly missed my flight.

Overall the hotel was clean, the the sofa it our room was worn and dirty. There was no AC but a fan was provided. Breakfast was good. The breakfast staff knew who we were as soon as my husband mentioned his food allergy and they were very accommodating. Finding the parking garage was a bit tricky the first night as it was dark and we were told it was behind the building next door. It was not. It was next door , but the entrance was at the front.

Great hotel in amazing location!

While you definitely pay somewhat of a premium, this hotel has very nice amenities in an ideal location. Breakfast buffet was excellent and pool was enjoyable. Rooftop terrace and restaurant have amazing view of the Alps. Parking was a little cramped if you have a larger vehicle but underground garage was convenient. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and it is a good value, although not for the budget traveler.

Wonderful stay

We stayed for only one night and we truly regretted that we could not stay longer. Very comfortable room, close to the highway and attractions. Breakfast is delicious. What was most remarkable is that, even if the hotel was full, 10 minutes before the end of the breakfast there was still plenty of food. No one was rushing you. Thank you!

Great place to relax. This is the second time I have visited and I am very happy to spend time in their great hotel. Pool is great and activities are available. Hotel's furnishing is very outdated, over all the hotel feels like military or dorm building, not at all spa or wellness feel. My siste's room had bath robes, slippers and scale, ours had not. They should offer the same for all their guests! When I've asked they told me it's because my sister was staying in Junior Suite. But at the end I was actually paying more for our room (2ppl) than my sister (4ppl). Breakfast is good but the same every single morning. Internet was pretty bad despite other reviews saying it's very good.

This is our second time in two years staying here. We love the family room, basically two rooms one with double bed and the other with bunk beds. Always works great for our family. We love their breakfast and the omelette station. Hope to make another trip to Germany in the future and will stay here for sure.

Good hotel with ample parking space

The room is clean and staff are friendly. We had a car. The underground parking space is large enough for 'inadequate US driver' like me. It is in an area that is very quiet and seems very safe. We had a dinner and it was a buffet. Food was excellent. Reservation is recommended. The included breakfast was one of the best during our 7 day journey in Germany/Austria/Italy with a really good selection of bread, cold meat cut, cheese/yogurt, and coffee drinks. My son loves their omelet. Highly recommended.

A visit to nearby Spa & Family Resort Rupertus Therme completes our 2-night stay in Bad Reichenhall. The spa in walking distance has a family pool are was really fun with 2 slides. Just bring your own bath towel and sandals. It was not a fancy spa but does provide a relax and rejuvenating experience.

Great Place to Stay in Bad Reichenhall

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean and well kept. The room rate included a breakfast buffet, which was top notch. They also had a dinner buffet which wasn't included in the room rate, but for 15 Euro was still a good value considering the high quality of the food an excellent staff. The hotel was a short walk to the main train station and there was a nice park across the street. The hotel staff knew english farily well, so communication wasn't a problem. If your planning to stay in Bad Reichenhall, or in the general area, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyable stay at hotel Bayern Vital

We had a very nice one night stay in a family room in this hotel. It was very convenient to have two connected rooms - one with the bund beds for children and one fore adults. Hotel surroundings are beautiful and my husband suggested we come back to it sometimes for longer stay. Beautiful mountains and thermal bath resorts are nearby (we didn't have time to try it, but would certainly love to next time). Breakfast was great with big selection of everythin you can imagine. Very happy with hotel service.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. It is in a quiet area. On 1 side there is a park type area. The other side is mainly housing. It is a pretty nice hotel overall. There is a casino about a block or two from there.

Adequate room. Bed was comfortable although the double was really two twins separated but we also got extra bedding for the 2 kids to stay in their own beds. Was a room for sleeping comfortably but not much for hanging out in, which was fine for us. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had a kid's play room right in front near the desk. They also put on daily and nightly activities for the kids. For example, they had movie nights at 1900 for the kids. Also, out in the back is a large yard with a nice playground. We ate breakfast outside with the kids and when they were done, mom and I could relax while the kids played. Overall, GREAT family friendly hotel. The pool was indoors and also very nice, although it was all one depth and my 6 year old couldn't touch the bottom but it did haver a bar across the entire edge for him to hold onto. Also near the pool is a nice sauna. The neighborhood of the hotel was fantastic. There's a beautiful decent sized park right across the street. We were here in beginning of August and there were concerts at night. The hotel rooftop also has a cafe/coffee/ice cream bar/alcoholic drinks area. It was really pretty excellent.

Can't complain about the hotel, staff where friendly and very helpful, only one little think that happened was that when we where leaving we noticed that someone had backed into our hire car and done damage to the front of the vehicle, it is a secure underground car park and is quiet tight, but just unlucky foe us I suppose.

Quality of the hotel is really great. I will definitely come back as we all enjoyed our stay. The only suggestion I would make is that the door to the kids play area is a little bit dangerous for the young ones (hard for them to open and it gets risky when it closes automatically).

A good base for Upper Bavaria

The Hotel Bayern Vital was fine. We had a 'family room' in an outbuilding, which was actually two rooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds. Each room had a separate toilet, but only one had a shower. Both rooms had a balcony. The beds were very comfortable and other room amenities were ok. The main hotel was only 50 yards away and could be accessed via an underground corridor during the heavy rain storms. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The kids enjoyed the table-tennis, bar football and pool table that was available to residents. The computer with free internet access in the reception area was also very welcome. We did not sample the restaurant for lunch or evening meals. The roof-top restaurant/coffee-bar was a fantastic setting when the sun shone, with lovely views of the alps. The main complaint with the hotel was that nothing was written in English. The receptionists, with the exception of one or two, did not speak good English. We had to find out about the hotel facilities and eating arrangments etc. by trial and error! Take your phrase book! It is a fairly large hotel and we were the only non-Germans in the hotel. Because Bad Reichenhall is a spa town, the average age of the hotel residents was well over 60! All in all, the hotel was good and is excellent as a base for exploring the area.

Allgemein ist das Hotel von der Einrichtung her schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Ein Aufenthalt in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel - welches leider schon in die Jahre gekommen ist. Schade dass das Fitness im Keller ist, dass das Hallenbad schwierig zu erreichen ist, das Zimmer nur alle 2 Tage gemacht wird und somit die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt werden konnten eines 4-Sterne-Hotels. Die Sauberkeit ist da, die Zimmer geräumig das Badezimmer sehr einfach. Frühstücksbüffet gut, parking gut gelöst und sehr freundliches Personal! Preis-Leistung müsste man sich überlegen

Die Lage ist gut und ruhig ,das Personal ist sehr nett. Das Essen hat geschmeckt, wir haben Halbpension gebucht. Frühstück war super, Abendessen Menü war jeden Abend unterschiedlich, auch Suppe war dabei.
Für die parken waren die Stellplätze entweder vorne, oder hinten zur Verfügung. Kann man auch im Tiefgarage parken. Parken hat 10€ pro Tag gekostet, auch Bademantel haben auch was gekostet 2€ pro Tag. Die Hausschuhe 2 Euro
Hat alles gefallen und die Kinder waren zufrieden

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich höflich und aufmerksam. Die Lage des Hotels ist einmalig, alles war fußläufig erreichbar, die Parkanlagen sehr gepflegt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall im nächsten Jahr dort wieder unseren Urlaub verbringen!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

Egal ob an der Rezeption, Speisesaal oder Reinigungskräfte, das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter aber Zimmer und Bad sind sehr geräumig und die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig.
Das Frühstück war hervorragend, alles wurde sofort nachgefüllt.
Kurpark und Bushaltestelle sind ganz in der Nähe.
Sollten wir nochmals nach Bad Reichenhall kommen würden wir dieses Hotel wieder wählen.

Ein schönes, großes Hotel. Angenehme Lage, es gibt einen Pool und einen Spielplatz direkt am Hotel. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon mit einem tollen Blick auf die Berge. Morgens wird ein gutes Frühstück angeboten. Freundliches Personal an der Rezeption.
Einziger Punkt: Das Parken war kostenpflichtig (das sollte man bedenken – wir hatten das in den Bedingungen nicht gelesen). Der Preis beträgt 10 € pro Tag, was angesichts des Zimmerpreises ziemlich teuer ist. Die Region an sich ist nicht günstig.
Wir haben hier eine Nacht auf dem Heimweg übernachtet.

Bei der Ankunft wollten wir parken und fanden dabei keinen Parkplatz weder in der Tiefgarage des Hotels noch vor dem Hotel, also gingen wir zur Rezeption um zu fragen wo noch geparkt werden kann, denn das Hotel hatten wir nur wegen Parkmöglichkeit ausgesucht. Die Dame an der Rezeption war verwundert, denn jeder Gast hätte einen Parkplatz zugesichert, danach schickte sie uns hinter das Haus wo die Warenlieferung erfolgt um zu Parken, so weit so gut. Als wir dann reinkamen um das Check in zu erledigen meinte sie, wir seien also doch nicht Gäste und hätten gar kein Recht gehabt uns einen Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage zu suchen, obwohl dies in der Buchung ausdrücklich vorgemerkt war. Dies wollte sie auf dem leider schlecht zu verstehenden Deutsch weiter diskutieren, denn wir hätten nicht einfach so einen Parkplatz suchen sollen. Unfreundliche und unnötige Diskussion um etwas was sonst eine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Ich wurde in einem Hotel noch nie so behandelt. Die Zimmer riechen etwas unangenehm, und unter der Bettdecke war ein Insekt vorzufinden, also ein Gefühl der Sauberkeit hatten wir eher nicht. Das Frühstück war ganz ordetlich und es gab eine angemessene Auswahl. Beim Check out wurden wir dann wenigstens freundlich begrüßt.

Hotel ist kein Wellness Hotel, sondern eher ein Hotel für Familien. Für Paare die hier Erholung suchen ist das Hotel nicht geeignet. Allerdings ist das Essen vortrefflich , jeden Abend reiche Auswahl am Buffet ,morgens auch alles was man für einen guten Start in den Tag braucht 👍

Dejligt hotel

Rigtig fin service da vi kom - vi have tagboks på og kunne derfor ikke parkere i kælderen, men betalte 8 euro og fik privat parkering ved deres bag indgang, så bilen stod tæt på. Fine værelser, men sengene var ikke så gode og værelset blev sindssygt varmt med 2 voksne og 2 børn. Virkelig lækker morgenmad og lege rum til børnene og legeplads udenfor. Vi var i poolen, lidt kold og dyb, men børnene nød det stadig. (4 og 6 år). Vi brugte hotellet på vej hjem fra Italien, så vi så ikke noget af området. Fantastisk udsigt fra værelset udover bjerge

Generally a fine hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
We had a single night on a very warm day. Unfortunately there was no aircon in the room. And even though we had a double room, there was only a single fan. Needless to say, we had a very warm night. However, the beds very good, we were tired and hence, it all played out well in the end

Without notice from our side, they already prepared beds for the kids perfectly! Kids liked the pool and the playing room.
