Lone traveller during low season. Got as a bargain deal, last minute. Arrived dead of night but night porter very kindly took me to flat (in a far village) then, helped a hungry traveller out by giving me a lift to the on site supermarket (££ but a good range!) to get necessities. The welcome pack in the fridge had even kindly bought in gluten-free bread especially for me! The first few nights were disrupted by unusual occurrences, then the heating didn't work. After a 4am email to reservations, the called around at 10am and offered me an alternative flat (upgrade), then helped me move.
Honestly couldn't fault the staff there, they went above and beyond to make me welcome and feel safer.
BUT - being low season only 2 restaurants (pub and golf course) open. Accommodation is fantastic - spaciouos, well equipped, clean, comfortable. TV runs off internet so in the high winds we had it wasn't happy sometimes and stalled. Supermarket has almost everything you could need, but is pricey. The resort is split into 'villages' (clusters of buildings - flats/villas. Some of them are 15 minutes walk to the Village Square. Pools - not heated so don't expect to swim unless it's a lot warmer.
All in all, I can't wait to take my family and go back. Although its a 15 minute taxi (book via Aphrodite - far cheaper than picking one up at the airport!) ride from Paphos Airport, I can see that it would be a great base (if you have a car) to explore Cyprus from.

Ideal 2 bedroomed apartment for my daughter and I. Excellent position within Aphrodite Hills; very clean and easy access swimming pool just across the road and a short walk into the back of the tennis club. Great for our 8am tennis bookings! Surrounded by the European Golf Course of the year so what more could you want!
Balconies off each room giving amazing views. Can’t wait to rebook for another trip as soon as possible!!

We stayed for 3 nights in Apartment A4, which was very centrally situated about 200m from the Hotel, the village square (shops, restaurants and pub) and the Golf Club.
The apartment was very comfortable for two people, with lounge/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom/shower room, and a lovely balcony.
The kitchen area was fully equipped with two fridges, washing machine, ceramic hob with four plates, microwave, toaster and kettle, so no excuses for not looking after ourselves.
Aphrodite Hills is very big as a resort with interest centred around the golf course, though we were actually here to attend our nieces wedding. Travel to/from the resort is best effected by hire car though there is a public service bus calls every 30 mins in daytime, which I believe costs 2 euros and takes about 45mins to get into central Paphos.
The climate is excellent, though at this time of year (April) it gets quite cold at nights, so bring a jacket or warm top. The other thing is that there always seems to be a breeze off the sea, which means there are very few bugs/flies to bother you.

Lovely apartment; bit far from centre

This was a really lovely apartment. Aphrodite Hills is a \"village\" with real-sized apartments and villas. We chose to book through Expedia because it said the accommodation was 0.1km from the village centre, but this one was about 1km away - 10 minutes with a walking shortcut. Apartment made up for it but glad we had a car! There was a lovely pool a few minutes from the apartment and a great view from the balcony towards the sea. Restaurants in the village centre were very nice but a bit pricy (mains from 15 to 20 euros). Staff were welcoming and everything efficiently run.

Apartments are lovely, gardens & pool areas clean & well kept

Staff are lovely & could not be more helpful

Shops / bars & restaurants on site offer great choice

Only criticism was our villa was on the main road through the site and from Friday night through until Sunday night (including all night) there were lorries back & forth along the road which was very noisy - try to avoid apartments on the road!

Wonderful 6 day stay in a fabulous junior villa.

We hired a 3 bedroom junior villa with private pool. The villa was fantastic and in a great position overlooking the golf clubhouse and within easy walking distance of all the facilities we needed as a family. The soccer school and riding stables kept our two children fabulously busy. The Village Square restaurants, shops and supermarket were all of a good quality and, for the setting, relatively reasonably priced. All in all an excellent 6 day experience!

Beautiful place, lovely people but not for me.

Overall, it was pleasant. The villa was breathtaking, the setting was beautiful but the constant interruptions from gardeners, pool maintenance and cleaners became intolerable and spoiled things for us. I believed I was in a private setting but for instance, when I'm clambering out of the pool, I didn't expect someone to be standing behind me shouting \"hello\". Thank goodness I don't have a heart condition. I'm not cross with the staff - you could see they were embarrassed but (another instance) sending staff to treat bald bits of grass by throwing fertiliser on it, which was right near the pool was incomprehensible. They were polite and I felt for them but I'm quite a private shy person and not an exhibitionist so although I had a full swim suit on and sarong, I wasn't happy. Remember not everyone is there just for a holiday. I was on business as well as trying to recouperate from a very traumatic year. But that's just me.

Beautiful place to stay

Overall it was a fantastic place to stay. Very well maintained site, fantastic views, the accommodation was excellent; clean, well equipped. The wifi in the villa was poor, particularly upstairs.

Do not have breakfast at the Golf Club, very expensive, average quality (not exactly an english breakfast), and very poor service.

The stay was slightly marred due to confusion over booking and cost.

Holiday residences review

The complex is nice, and in very good condition. It's a big place, and there's plenty to do there. Breakfast in the Golf Club is poor, although the staff are nice, the food is average at best. We expected a buffet style breakfast and what we got was a limited menu of choice. We could've paid more for other items on the menu, but decided against it and ate elsewhere. The other restaurants are reasonable, and in our opinion, the Italian and the Pub had the best food. We did not try the Indian restaurant. The Villa was lovely, and very well equipped. There a swimming pools local to the villas, which is good, and a very well equipped gym (best I've seen in a hotel ). The resort is a little isolated, but taxis to Paphos, Pissouri etc are reasonable, although the bus is very very cheap, and air conditioned so a good option if you don't want to pay for a cab.
We didn't use the hotel facilities, but we talked to a couple who were All Inclusive and they said the food was good, and lots of choice.

Overpriced and overhyped!

The apartment furniture was the main problem, beds were cheap and uncomfortable, likewise the sofa was falling apart! Communal pool was nice but a walk away.

Nice villas, but not well maintained or serviced

The villas at the resort are spacious and nice, but they are not well maintained, appointed, nor serviced. There is absolutely no service (e.g., cleaning, towels, bed sheets) besides week-long stays once. Also, there were many issues with maintenance, such as broken light fixtures, and lack of hot water. Overall, a good stay, but certainly not a luxurious facility. And most villas have no view.

The overall experience was fantastic! Wonderful apartment, amazing part of the world, friendly staff, but needs to have more sun loungers and umbrellas round the pool, fortunately not many people at the pool! Also, very dissatisfied with the Italian restaurant in the village square, food was terrible! Money was refunded

Aphrodite Hills holiday residences

Very isolated apartment and car hire is a must. Comfortable apartment but housekeeping is just once a week, unless you want to pay 40 Euro per day. On site supermarket is ridiculously expensive. Complex is OK but I would not stay here again as the prices were far too high for every facility and the location is remote.

Our ideal holiday

Aphrodite hills residence is the perfect place to stay in Cyprus. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with land and sea view. The villa was very spacious, well equipped with an amazing view and a good size private swimming pool! The resort staff were very nice and helpful. The village square had a supermarket which was handy as all villas were self catering. There's no need to drive out of Aphrodite hills as the place has good restaurants that served delicious food with friendly staff. They made us feel welcome. We strongly recommend Zimi restaurant and Pithari tavern! Overall experience.... Excellent!!!!

We've had a brilliant family trip and summer holiday. Staff have all been very friendly and helpful. We had one serious problem with accommodation mid-way through the stay, but the staff sorted it out within the day - properly - and gave us alternative accommodation for the day which was just as good.

Nice apartment good location if you have a car

Nice one bed apartment. Good size communal pool.
No access to BBQ facilities.
No bars or restaurants nearby other than hotel facilities.
Good base from which to explore West Cyprus.
Ideal for golf lovers and kids who like sport.
No trips available for adults who want someone else to drive.
No public transport other than one bus an hour.
No boat trip available or fishing.
Could be vastly improved and made more profitable with a few thoughtful changes.
A hotel boat is a must. Followed by a hotel minibus wine tour.

Very nice apartment in Aphrodite Hills Resort

Our apartment in Apollo heights part of the Aphrodite hills resort was very comfortable and well equipped with two bathrooms, modern kitchen with washer, dishwasher, microwave ect. It was very quiet overlooking the beautiful gardens and golf course. The huge swimming pool was also quiet for August. The apartment was situated a good walk approx. 15 min from the village centre, golf club, restaurants, hotel, shop and bars and bus stop so hire a car or get apartment or villa nearer to the centre if you do not like walking. Aphrodite hills resort is very beautiful and well kept. The spa is amazingly good. We enjoyed the restaurants and if you tire of Greek, Indian and Italian food the English food in the pub is very good especially the cod in beer batter with chips and mushy peas but be warned the helping is enormous! The bus to Paphos costs 1 euro 50 cents each way which is good value for a 40 min journey. For a real treat get off the bus at Kouklia a beautiful village east of Aphrodites Rock and visit the Museum, the snake farm and the ancient 12th century church. The village square is closed to traffic and filled with pavement cafe's and restaurants which come alive at night with live music and dancing. Thursday traditional music and dancing very lively, Friday night try Diarizos Tavern where you will enjoy fresh catch of the day from their own boat and slow cooked lamb and potato from the clay oven outside which has been cooking all day. Taxi home advised. Wonderful holiday.

Beautiful apartment/villa on 5* resort

We wanted a quiet, beautiful place to stay in with access to the picturesque coastline and this ticked all the boxes. The facilities were top notch and we essentially had an infinity pool to ourselves! The apartment was spacious, very modern and fully equipped with everything you can think of. We had our own terrace with outdoor dining facilities and beautiful views of the sunset. I cannot fault this resort.

Fantastic stay

My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean and well kept. Suitably ideal if you are wanting to venture outside of the Residences for places to eat. The main hotel resort (Santario) was still undergoing its refurbishment so not all restaurants and bars were open. I was informed by our helpful tour that post 1 May 15, this will change and he resort will be fully functioning. A strong recommendation of mine is that it is well worth hiring a vehicle for the duration.

February half term in Cyprus?

We stayed in a superior 3 bed Villa which was very spacious and well equipped. Although we had a few teething issues (no hot water on 1st day) the onsite team were helpful and quick to resolve issues.

We were unlucky with the weather for a few days (they hadn't had snow on the coast of Cyprus for 20 years!) and the Villa has definitely been built and equipped for the warmer months.

The one real disappointment was the lack of a decent WIFI service in the villa - although there was free wifi available in the village complex a short walk away.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aphrodite Hills resort. We stayed in a 3 bed apart which was well equipped with modern appliances a fixtures. Lots of choice of restaurant and we tried them all. My younger kids 6 & 8 went to the well run kids club which was a first for them and they enjoyed it. My only gripe would be the mattress were cheap and uncomfortable apart from that we liked everything about the place.

Great apartment on golf complex

The apartment was well decorated, clean and tidy and had everything that was needed to allow for a self contained holiday. The apartment we stayed in had 3 balconies, two with very nice patio furniture and were great for sitting and watching the golfers as we had breakfast. The cleaning team came in mid week to change sheets, towels etc and were in and out very quickly. The village on the complex has a range of places to eat and drink, they provide large portions of generally good quality food that was reasonably priced.
We arrived after midnight but were escorted from the security point and shown where everything was, we then had a visit the following morning to make sure that everything was okay and to give us some additional information about the site
We didn't use the additional facilities such as the golf or the spa but both looked to be of high quality.
Due to the location of the complex I would say it is essential to have the use of a car unless you have no plans to go outside the grounds

Lovely apartment in a very well-kept complex

I had a short break in an apartment in Aphrodite Hills. The apartment was clean and very well equipped with not one but two balconies (one for sun and one for shade). The whole complex, especially the pools were kept very clean and the staff very friendly. There are a number of restaurants on site in which the food and the service was very good. As you'd expect with a complex which is quite remote, you do pay a bit of a premium. There are hire bikes available which I would have used except that you have to register on-line in advance which I was not able to do. Overall, I would say this is a lovely place to come and I would certainly return.

Aphrodite is an excellent resort. The spa is of the highest standard I've been to and I love my spa days. My only concern was our apartment was a bit unclean and the sofas were very small so cuddling in the evenings were tricky! Other than that the complex as a whole is Fab!

Convenient and relaxing resort

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment in Apollo Heights village for 10 days. The resort was fantastic - close to Paphos airport, friendly staff, great food, excellent facilities for the kids. I could go on. The apartment itself was large and beautifully furnished. However, the best thing was having the three pools in our village (baby, toddler and adult) all pretty much to ourselves for the entire stay. Bliss.

Glorious setting.

Our one bedroom apartment at Adonis Village in the Aphrodite Hills complex was fabulous. A wonderful terrace overlooking the 7th hole on the golf course was totally private and well equipped. The living room had a good TV with a variety of channels, books, DVDs, CDs and very comfortable. Kitchen was fine, washing machine meant we travelled with cabin bags only. Swimming towels were provided and aircon was effective. Great location. Go to Laledes Taverna in Kouklia....it's behind the square, but awesome food and better service. Cheap, too! We never ate in the resort, as it's so easy to drive to Kouklia. The swimming pool in our village was lovely. Only downer is that the hotel charges extras for its pool and beach. Wifi in centre was very good.

Great views and location

Our stay at the villa was amazing. The view of the sea and the surrounding hillside lent itself to many romantic moments. Having a car is probably best as some villas can be some distance from the resort center, where all the dining options are at. The holiday residences are close Aphrodites rock which is worth a visit, especially at sunset. A short car ride away is the town of Paphos. It offers local dining and ancient ruins. It should also be noted that depending on length of stay you may only get one day of housekeeping. On a 4 night stay we got cleaning on the third day.

Nice, pleasant & relaxing

Lovely staff, many options for dining out with or without children. You DO need a car, however. Nearby Aphrodite Museum, orange picking on the side of the road on the way (locals say its okay to pick 1 or 2), golf on the premises - Spa (only for 16 and above, tried taking my 4 year old for a mommy and me manicure and they needed special permission (their concern is children are loud and will be a distraction for the other guests. They seem to genuinely welcome children, the kids club was great and the kids loved it during the day (but no child wants to be in there for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time, it is a family holiday after all. Remember, one thing no one talks about of Cypress is that in all toilets in and outside of hotels, in the villas, restaurants, etc.. they cannot handle the plumbing of bathroom tissue - so you are asked to dispose of it in the provided bin/trash (It wound up not being as repelling as Turkey with the holes in the floor, but it was still not as pleasant). Wine and food amazing and affordable.
