We only stayed for a night, but it did the job nicely. Pleasantly surprised with the room size and reasonable conditions. Mattresses aren't the most comfy and we struggled to get reliable hot water, so it was mostly cold showers. Also the location isn't what you'd call convenient and you wouldn't want to be there without a car.

The apartnent was clean, and large for a family not as a solo traveller. The complex was residential local familys lived there and in the morning noice and children crying disturbed me.The apartment had 3pin sockets and 2 pin plug appliances so could use the kettle or television.The dustance to the beaches is 9km and without a car too far to walk,the mix up is the hotel with similar name on the beach. The reception no-one was there at first, The shop inadequate with no food really.again no-one serving.I had already packed and booked another hotel so i ordered a taxi with the reception guy ,when the taxi turned up it was his friend with a small dog in the fount seat so i obliged anxious to get to the other hoel and acceped it turned out ok and i was relieved to arrive at the Avlida i had rebooked.

Got to the hotel and given a room at first I genuinely thought I had been given a room at a 1970s russian camp. The guy at the desk was asleep and didn't speak a lick of English. We didn't get told about the sauna or the jacuaazi which is still not working or built not sure which

After our 7 days visit in truth is was pretty decent. The staff was always on hand to open the shop even at 4am. Very friendly and polite.

It was not to busy.

I have to be honest the biggest thing to be of help was the taxi driver Alexander always available to help and to pick u up just a call away.

I don't understand why the hotel gets such bad reviews the staff and people were friendly, the food was brilliant, enjoy it for what it is and u will honestly love it. The cleaners were super friendly and lots of cats about :)

Also if u go and use Alexandra don't forget to ask about his cute white dog :)

Lovely pool area, apartment in poor condition. Shower curtain was hanging off so the bathroom would half flood everytime we showered, the breakfast was very poor, and not a buffet as advertised, they did offer a cooked breakfast which was good, but if your booking states breakfast buffet it will not be. The clean linen, towels and toilet roll were kept in a supermarket trolley outside the apartments collecting dust, very unhygienic and totally unprofessional.

Property is not at the standard it should be. Far away from the city. If you don’t have a car it’s very difficult to go and also if you get a puplic transport you have to walk 1km up hill. You need taxi which is very expensive.

Don't trust the pictures.

Don't trust the pictures! When we booked the hotelscom page stated free airport transfer, but before arrival the page changed and it was not free anymore. On the phone the receptionist was rude to us: shouted that there is no free airport transfer and then he put down the phone. At arrival the receptionist could not find our booking. He also did not pay attention to us during checkin as he continously watched a football match on his mobile. The room they gave us were not clean. The bed is really uncomfortable. We asked next day for cleaning and to provide us with towels (which we did not have at checkin). However they did not clean, only they provided towels. I must say that the official hotel inages are very deceptive! It is easy to shoot reasonable looking photos from a distance, where you don't see how dirty the property is. Shame, because with good management and care this could be a nice place to stay.

The building was fine, it was recently renovated and good looking. In contrast the air conditioners were very old, they smelt like cigarettes and they did not work properly, the room never got cold and they made a lot of noise. The filters can not be clean. On the couch-bed there are spiders and spider webs, it is not comfy, the bed and the pillow felt like bricks and the sheets were not really clean. The towels looked very dirty, they had a gray colour. The whole room felt unclean and the receptionist had a very bad-rude additude without reason. The price was really high considering the amenities and the quality of the experience. I would not recommend this hotel as for the price tag you can have a much better accommodation.

Nearly given a booking at a different hotel!

It's a good property and very affordable, however the communication is very difficult. Hotels.com has only the reception number which doesn't offer any help with reservations. I had a booking with payment on arrival for 2 Villas Three bedrooms each. I was a bit worried because I booked the villas for my wedding in Paphos, so I called one week before my arrival just to rest my mind that everything is ready for our check-in, only to be told that no villas are available for us and that they will be providing us an alternative which is in a different hotel 40mins away. Just imagine what would happen if I haven't called and discovered that on my arrival! They ended up giving me three small villas for the same price but it's still too much to worry about if you're booking at St Grgs, please double check your booking or pay in advance.

Club St George - relocated to Panareti, Coral Bay

Firstly, we had booked and paid for 2 serviced apartments at Club St George Resort in Emba, Paphos and when we arrived at their reception after a late night flight, we were told that large sections of Club St George Resort were still under maintenance and we were “upgraded” to 2 rooms at their “sister resort” Panareti Coral Bay 10.8 km away.

When we arrived at Panareti after some searching to find the correct entrance, checked in and saw the rooms, we saw that we were duped and that this was clearly not an Upgrade, but in fact a severe Downgrade.

Panareti “Resort” is VERY tired and dilapidated and desperately needs a cash injection of a couple of million for a total renovation from the ground up.

Panareti cannot possibly still qualify for 4 stars - maybe it did 30 years ago when it was slightly newer ?

Several months after other guests’ reviews we found the exact same unprotected red electrical wiring still hanging out of junction boxes in several places in the passage leading to the rooms.

Also we experienced day and night the exact same issue as others with the sound of water and sewerage from the toilets above flowing through the pipes in the void of our room’s ceiling - unacceptable!

Food was adequate but nothing exceptional with more-or-less the same selection each morning at the breakfast buffet.

Although it is just over a 1 block walk past some villas under construction to the ocean, the shore is rocky here, and the closest sandy beach is about 15 minutes walk

Due to some water leakage issue we were asked to check in at a different hotel, this was not communicated to us in advance.
The hotel they offered had ants at most of the places in the room and smelt smoke, the receptionist was kind to offer a better room for us.
Although a better room the condition of the bed was horrible, every move made noise.
Breakfast was bad, baked beans wasn't cooked enough, no true coffee.

We stayed here for 9 nights in one of their 3 bed villas. The villa was very nice, beds were comfortable, air con was great. Pool and outside space was fantastic!! The only negatives are just the overall finishes of the property, poor paint job throughout, poor tiling job around plumbing etc…. The little things. For the cost of the stay I thought it was great, if you want 5* finishes you pay the 5* prices. General area is a little far away from everything too, there’s nothing within walking distance. A car is 100% required! I would definitely return here in the future!

We stayed here a few years ago. It's gone down since then.
Cleanliness was okay although the junk under the sofa suggests otherwise.
The mattress was tired and thin.
The kitchen equipment was minimal to say the least. Fire extinguisher last service date was 2018 and the gauge showed empty. The fire blanket holder was empty too.
In a cold March the A/C, heating worked well enough and there was plenty of hot water.

Cons: The elevator did not work so we had to carry out heavy luggage up and down the stair; there was no mattress protector on the mattress nor pillow protectors on the pillows which I found very disappointing.

Would highly recommend you have transport because it’s at the top of a hill.
Could do with a lick of paint, and a bit of TLC, villa we stayed in the pool was dirty and pump missing, I know was winter (March) however we had a lot of mosquitoes in the villa which I think stagnant water didn’t help, we all got bitten and there wasn’t any fly screens,
We stayed for work. So wasn’t too bad, I’d imagine after covid they will tart the place up, if that is done I’d rate it much higher!

The flat was clean and rooms were spacious with big veranda.
One of the air conditions was not functioning proper but managed through the night with the hall air conditioning.
The area around the pool was dirty with plastic cups and chips due to the clients refusing But there was no one to cleanup.
In the morning shift at breakfast there was this tall woman,sorry cant say lady,that was not polite at all and have charged my 3 year granddaughter for breakfast for eating a quarter of a slice of bread which I did not accept.
Anyway after I complained for the air conditioning they let us have a late check out for free.
But they need to improve their stuff in numbers and training.

We stayed at a 3-Bedroom Villa for 2 nights.
1. When arriving (at 00:30) no one was at the reception, even though we called twice to make sure the hour is OK (they say the reception is 24/7). We had to wait for about 10 minutes until someone came to check us in.
2. The room had no shampoo and only had soap block. 4 small ones for 6 people who need to shower and to wash hands!
3. The AC in the master bedroom did not work.
4. The WiFi in the room did not work.
5. The lights in the pool did not work.
6. We only had 4 blankets for 6 people.

Needless to say - we went all to way to the reception (there's no phone in the villa) to ask our problem to be fixed.
After much convincing the guy at the reception came with us to show us how to turn on the AC - he did not succeed.
He told us there's nothing he can do about the AC, no one can fix it now, only in the morning (he didn't care that the weather is extremely hot and we need to sleep somehow, we ended up moving the mattress to the living room to sleep), same thing for the WiFi and the pool lights.
When we asked for blankets his answer was \"Does it look like I have blankets here?\". Again, we ordered a room for 6 people!
We asked to speak to the manager in the morning - no manager ever talked with us.

In the morning someone came to fix the WiFi and the AC.
No one came to fix the lights, bring us blankets, soap, shampoo or anything.

The guy at the reception was unbelievably rude and I can't believe he works in this business.

Luxury on a budget

Driving up the entrance road makes you feel as though you’re climbing the hills of L.A. To try and find the Hollywood sign. As you turn into the holiday park you’re greeted by the white sand stone villas you could see from the bottom of the hill and had hoped were yours. On your way into the park you’ll find the reception on the right and adjacent to that an incredibly shaped pool. The reception area is large with comfy sofa’s and a pool table, all of which look onto the pool. Along the corridor is the parks restaurant and bar, down and up the stairs are amenities such as a gymnasium, jacuzzi & sauna room, indoor heated pool and massage room.

Around the park are rows of villas each terraced so not to block each other from the fabulous views. Within each row there are smaller private pools that are shared by the the surrounding villas only. This gave us a sense of luxury.

Our villa was at the end of the row and on the 2nd floor. As we climbed the stairs the automatic lights made finding our way easy. Opening the door we were immediately greeted by a double bed, kitchenette, bathroom, sofa bed, dining table, coffee table and large private balcony. Everything a couple could want.

The kitchenette boasted an electric fan oven with stove, a microwave, a nicely chilled fridge and freezer, a toaster and of course a kettle. In the bathroom a powerful, hot shower and spacious bath which made sharing two baths very enjoyable and relaxing.

Requested an accessible room with accessible bathroom. Our room was a drive around the block and whist on the ground floor I counted over twenty steep steps to the level of reception and the restaurant.At dinner I was served raw pork meatballs and the replacement was burnt. Was left standing nearly ten minutes to pay my bill. Very dissapointing. Towels in our room were chewing gum white although we were unable to use them as there was no hot water in the evening or in the morning. A very dissapointing experience.

I couldn’t take a shower at 9:30 in the morning because the water was not warm (but not cold either) and the heater didn’t work (was a little chilly in Dec) hence my rating is based on the 2 most important things when out of season.

Dreadful! Its miles away from everything, it has very poor street lighting and the music is loud all night long. The first room we were offered was dirty and plain and just downright disgusting. We complained and were shown to another room - the air con didnt work, the shower door was hanging off the shower, there was black hairs in the bed sheets, there was a bracket for a fire extinguisher but no fire extinguisher, everything dirty and disgusting. We stayed there for one night which was absolutely miserable, and then cut our losses and moved to another hotel. Someone from Club St George called us to ask why we werent staying there, we said it was because we hated it, his response - \"okay, you bring back the keys?\" No apology, no nothing. Do NOT book this hotel!! The photos on here are not an accurate representation of this hotel.

Need to be more professional!

Booked an apt for 2 adults plus 1 child age 2 and I specifically requested a baby crib for my child. When we checked in, there was no baby crib. I told reception about it and said that they will find one asap. This was around 6pm. We left the apt and returned around 10.30ish. There was no baby crib. The baby was tired and had nowhere to sleep. I went back to the reception, and they were confused and were thinking what to do. FINALLY around 11 they found one and brought it to my apt. very bad service.

THE PROPERTY WAS NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED . OUR ROOM BATHROOM HAD BROKEN ITEMS LIKE BROKEN BIN , NO TOILET PAPER HANGER (WAS BROKEN) , DIRTY CURTINS , BROKEN AIRCONDITIONING AND WAITED FOR THE NEXT DAY TO BE REPAIRED WITHOUT SUCCESS . AFTER CALLING THE AND ARGUING OVER THE PHONE THEY OFFERED A NEW APPARTMENT TO US .... AFTER HALF OF OUR HOLIDAYS PASSED .... VERY DESAPOINTED FROM THE MAINTENANCE OF THE WHOLE COMPLEX..... NO MAINTENANCE AT ALL DONE... RUSTED METALS AND DIRTY POOL , OUR SWIMING SUITS HAD GREEN SPORTS AND DIRT AFTER 40 MINS OF SWIMING IN THEIR MAIN SWIMMING POOL

From the time of arrival at 2:30 I was offered a room smelling of cigarette and I refused it and I was shown another which was not ready it would tak 2 hrs to clean I sat at the lobby until 4:35 and was offered a 2bed villa wth stairs I was not happy at all but accepted as I am 67yrs it was hard each time for me. Food was terrible everyone complained the same way used up 2 days old leftover veg for soup 3 evenings serving the same pudding we then ask for ice cream the following evening I was given a bill for the ice cream by this time enough was enou I asked to see the manager they said ok we won't charge you.. For the first time Fri eve fresh food served still no deserts.. It was so terrible that the waitress iat breakfast she be on her phone texting Iif wanted to order omelette or poached eggs you'll have to go up to her ot order the was no greeting no smile nothing all you got was along face every morning of that wk it was so nice to get away from that place. No I will not recommend it to anyone to suffer

Clean and comfort

Clean and comfort room. Everything was new (beds /wc/ kitchenette etc ). The staff was very friendly.
The view from our apartment was brilliant. Thanks a lot!

Nice view of the Mediterranean from up above.

The pool was nice as was the view. The accommodations were VERY simple- only one towel for each person and the kitchen facilities with the bare minimum. An apartment for two didn’t even have 2 matching glasses.

Although the complex is away from most attractions it is in a beautiful place with nice views. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The young man named Jake went out of his way to help us.

This is the worst apartment we’ve every stayed in . Not sheets no quilt or blankets. No cooking equipment . When it’s self catering . But the worse thing was very dark outside the apartment no light , very dangerous .no fire alarm . In apartment. Would let anyone stay there

Lovely hotel, off season visit be mindful

Off season visit. So be aware it was quite empty for us. Lovely studio room well equipped with everything we could need. Price was ridiculously low for standard. Rooms were all clean and modern. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was adequte. Had a few issue trying to find a member of staff for support they were only a few working during our stay - off season to blame again. Spa facilities not at full for our stay, tried to book the sauna was told it would take an hour to heat and to come back. Would definitely use this hotel again

Not worth it

Was not happy with my stay here..
Room was clean but was freezing..
Even using the air con at its max heat setting diden't do much..and all i got for bedding was some thin blanket..bathroom was worse was like stepping in a freezer..the breakast is nothing special went twice and both times everything served to me was cold..the location is horrible absolutly nothing near here at all.. €45 euros from air port..& €15 to town..so if you do stay here a car is definatly needed..
I would not stay again..

Apartments were out of Paphos on the hillside facing West. Ours afforded us an excellent view over the coastline.
Luckily we had already arranged car hire for our stay, which is just as well as transport costs ie taxies etc would have been costly and restrictive.
So due to having a car, Club St George was a perfect base for us.
The amenities include swimming pools, at least 2, bar , shop and restaurant. We only used the restaurant once as we were travelling around, but the meal was good and the meat tender. Because of the time of year the bar was hardly thriving, but was there if needed.
The shop is just basics only, but there are supermarkets within a couple of miles.
The Apartment was clean and air con had heater (as it was cold at night in Nov.)
All in all, a good place to stay, whether like us your touring every day, or just want to relax around the pool .
