We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Very spacious and clean room, amazing pool area and a breakfast buffet with a great variety of tasty and well cooked things to choose from. All the staff we engaged with was very friendly and helpful and made our stay even better.

We found this hotel had everything. The Management and Staff were all so professional and had everything covered.

Entertainment, Food, Drinks, Accommodation and the overall friendliness made for a great holiday.

Room with a view and a ballroom to sleep in

The rooms were massive - our jaws dropped. I had a room with view to the sea and a huge veranda - absolutely wonderful. Loved the down-stated elegant decoration of the room - beds were comfortable, though little too firm for me. I would have like a double bed instead of 2 singles together. The hotel helped in getting a bouqet of flowers and bubble water and fruitplate for my friend who had birthday.
Tried the spa - relaxing massage -really good. We were very pleased.

Phenomenal staff, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The range and quality of the food was excellent. The apartment was a good size, as was the balcony, though the equipment very basic. Bathroom was a reasonable size and the shower was wonderful. Only downside was we found our beds quite uncomfortable being hard and a bit lumpy. The sofa was also very firm to sleep on.
The bar area, entertainment and facilities were great. The outdoor pool area was gorgeous, but it being February we didn't enter the water! There is a smallish indoor pool and jacuzzi however.
A couple of places could just do with a paint freshen-up, under our bedroom window for instance there was some loose paint possibly resulting from the morning condensation though we tried to air the room.
The massage (extra) was incredibly relaxing and very good value and I thoroughly recommend.

Both near and far from the sea. Located on the cliff , the view is breathtaking , but needed some effort for swimming in the sea. The bar staff was very good. The restaurant staff was a little bit less so.The food was average - it turned out it is possible to ruin a pizza . The surroundings are kind of remote and secluded . Very nice walking pass along the seashore is passing the hotel. Will stay again.

my only complaint was that the evening entertainment was SO LOUD as to be unbearable. i had to go into another room and it was still very uncomfortable. please ask them next year to just turn the volume down. other than that we couldn’t fault the staff, accommodation or food. well done!

Food was amazing, room was clean and well equipped howewer we had a lot of ants inside. Otdoor environment could be nicer (no flowers, no grass just plain cement everywhere). Also, if you are staying with friends you could get borred in the evening, entertainment is more orriented to middle aged people with kids. Ciry centre is quite far so you need to take a taxi if you want to go out.

We booked two nights. We arrived late & found the room ok with the exception of the bed. There was no mattress, only a piece of foam perhaps 2 inches thick.

I slept fine but my wife didn't. When we asked for another bed, the front desk said they're all the same & suggested we put a blanket on top the foam.

We asked for a refund for our second night. Staff told us we needed Expedia to issue the refund. Multiple attempts by Expedia to contact them went unanswered. Finally, they denied our request for a refund.

I would never stay here again.

And also there are some rainy bugs crawling to the room. I have cleared two three times. They wont give water bottle, you should buy for the room.

Hotel is ok. Food was nice, however restaurant is extremely busy and management should think of more stuff to ease the busy period. Food was simple and tasty. Good selection and plenty of meat and vegetable, cheese, all local which was very nice. For us the most disappointing was lack of heated indor pool and during April outside pool is definitely to cold on no sunshine day. This was a big minus for the management-every day we were told pool will heat up and it never did for 2 weeks. Kids club- basically no kids club, place was falling apart, dirty inside, and we did not leave children there. Entertainment- disaster. Poor quality of music, poor entertainer team. However for us it was not that important, so looking at the rooms and food hotel is ok, but would not go there again. Thank you.

Lovely compex in quite location

Nice fresh accomodation. Beds a bit uncomfortable however. Staff we lovely and there was a great choice of food and plenty of drinks. Entertaiment for all if they wanted to participate. Evening could be a bit amatuerish. Overall great place to stay though and on bus route for getting about. Great for families.

Very happy with the hotel facilities and service. All staff was very polite and always ready to help. Special thanks to Nakis at the pool bar for his excellent service. The only negative was the comfort of the beds. Mattresses used are very hard making it difficult to have a comfortable sleep. Hotel management has to check this as it destroys the overall rating of the place.

Many small two story blocks well spread out so didn't feel over-crowded. Most appeared to be overlooking the small gardens, but we were lucky as ours faced the sea and the coastal pathway, which was very well used from early morning until after dusk by people just strolling, joggers and dog walkers. Staff friendly and hard working, always busy. Good sized swimming pool/paddling pool. Seemed to be plenty of sun beds available, but it was October, so don't know how it would be in high season. Food good/plenty of choice. Room spacious with a fridge and sink if you wished to make a drink, although couldn't see the point in having tea bags supplied if there were no small cartons of milk available. Entertainment staff seemed to work hard, but didn't partake in any activities ourselves. The only annoying thing, and I think it has been an exceptionally good (or bad) year for them this year in Cyprus - is the small ants, everywhere! If asked the question would we return - the answer would be a definite yes.

Expedia hotel description

Expedia stated “Hotel has own private beach” it actually was a private beach view 10 minuets walk from hotel, the private beach belonged to the St George hotel. The fencing on the walk to the private beach was all broken and rusty which is very dangerous for children or elderly guests.
We requested a room with a double bed but on arrival we were allocated a room close to the pool and pool bar. This was not acceptable with noise during the day and evening so opted for a room upgrade at 70 euros for the week so as to have peace and quiet. We were also advised that hotel does not have double beds they are all twin beds pushed together. The hotel staff and the all inclusive food all above average and the best all inclusive food we have ever experienced. As for the evening entertainment, this was the worst ever with young children aged 2 to 8 years old playing and jumping around on the stage until 9:00pm then bingo until the so called entertainment started at 10:00pm which was embarrassing and guests walking out every night hoping it would get better. The location of hotel is a bit isolated and the need to use local bus which is a 15 min walk away to access coral bay or Paphos harbour. All in all, not a good holiday and would not recommend this hotel however food,staff and weather did recover some of our dissappointment.

Very clean and spacious room with lovely sea view. Beds were very uncomfortable to the point of having to sleep on the sofa.
Room very close to the stage and bar so noise went on into the early hours.
Some of the staff were very friendly, others not so much.
Food was ok, breakfast and lunch better than evening so ate out a few times in the evening even though we paid for all inclusive. Food served almost throuought the whole day.
Pool area was very nice, big pool with lots of beds available.
Overall no major complaints. Room for improvement though. Would probably stay somewhere else next time but it was cheaper than some others in same area.

We've just come back from a week at Aktekon and I have to say it was THE BEST holiday we've had in a long time.
The staff are friendly and more than willing to help.
Food was great with a choice for everyone, my mum is vegetarian and we always struggle to find something to accommodate her, but there was plenty of choice, and my dad is usually very picky but he enjoyed the meals every day.
The rooms were clean and you have Plenty of space. The pool was clean and the spa was a nice touch.
The entertainment crew was awesome and made sure everyone was involved the fireshow was incredible!
My one complaint would be that people would \"reserve\" the sun loungers by the pool and head to the beach. But there is loads of space.
Would definitely stay here again!

Evening entertainment good but only on at 10pm after waiting an hour for bingo to finish. Restaurant food not great, we preferred options available at pool bar instead. Checked in. Sat on concrete bed and the realised the floor was alive beneath our feet. Then noticed that the walls . Kettle and everywhere was crawling with ants. The door to the room was about 2 inches off the floor so at night vermin would have been able to come in. Never made it to the bathroom to look. Sat by pool in horror and then the mangy cats started coming. Went to reception who initially said they had no alternative rooms and then showed us 2 others which were not much better. We called a taxi and became \"homeless in Cyprus\" at 6pm at night. Fortunately we did find somewhere CLEAN and pleasant to stay and had some relaxation time.

Good hotel for the price

Stayed her for a week on a self catering basis. Pillows were hard as was the bed. Disco/entertainment noise very loud so couldnt sleep but it only went on until 10.30 (thank goodness). Food at Pool Bar was hit and miss. Burgers good as was the iced coffee but spaghetti bolognaise was unrecognisable and salads missed ingredients or had ingredients added which were not on the menu. Room however was clean and spacious. Pool was lovely and clean and warm with lots of loungers (but no cushions). Shower was hot and cold on and off so beware. There is a shop on site and one just down the road which sold more variety of goods. Area not as on google maps/earth as there are lots of restaurants now on the main road and many hotels on the boardwalk which was lovely to walk along. The staff tried their best and kept all areas swept and clean. Receptions staff very nice and we appreciated the sandwiches, fruit and water when we arrived late at night. Used Chris' taxis which is at the end of the road who were lovely. Would recommend the hotel if you are not too fussy and dont want to pay a fortune for a holiday.
Room Tip: Try get one away from the pool area if you wish to avoid the noise from the evening entertainment.

Tired, dated and dirty

We stayed at Akteon for one week mid September on a self catering basis so I cannot comment on the food.
Overall the pool and reception area was lovely, if a bit tired. The pool is a great size and overlooks the sea, but there is no beach. It was dirty though with bits floating in the water. There is WIFI in reception but it doesn't stretch to the pool. The view of the sunset was fabulous.

However the rooms are desperate, really tired and dirty. The cleaners came most days but never changed the bedsheets, only smoothed them down. There was tonnes of insects. The bathroom had a shower curtain that was a bit dirty. There was a used condom on the window ledge when we arrived. Disgusting. We requested a garden view room but actually overlooked neighbours back gardens and the giant skip they keep at reception!

Also it wasn't self catering as advertised. There is a fridge, a mini oven (which didn't work) and a hob. There wasnt eniugh coutlery, a microwave or a kettle. We requested a kettle three times before one was finally briught up. When they eventually brought it, it was broken and burned my hand.

The staff seemed really stressed and were constantly shouting and bickering which didn't help the atmosphere. It's probably understaffed.

I would not recommend to stay here as there is cheaper properties which are nicer.

Really not a bad place, nothing to call home about though. The staff were friendly and very helpful, but the rooms were unequipped and not great at all. I wouldn't say this place should be avoided because for the price it really is what you are paying for. I would say if you have a bit extra there are a lot of other places around that you would probably be better off at though.

Decent choice at the lower end of the budget

A decent hotel, at the lower price end. Room quality varies - some are newer than others. Pool is great, food is of a decent standard. Various entertainment throughout the day, to suit most tastes. Sufficient sun loungers without the usual towels at dawn bun fight.

Evening entertainment can be a little low end as is usually the case, but overall, the Akteon is a sound choice. Worth trying to get a room closer to the pool area, rather than the more neglected ones at the back of the complex.

The hotel itself was lovely and clean. the pool area was huge and there were activities on throughout the day.
no wifi in rooms which was the only let down and under the sink smelt really foisty as though there was a leak and mould
but overall i would definitely stay here again. really friendly, helpful staff. breakfast was decent aswell!
food available at pool side through the day :)
the hotel was on the coast with a number of beaches along the way.
coral bay was about a 15 minute bus ride away and the harbour / bar area was a 10 minute cab fare costing around 12 euros

Great hotel, friendly staff, beautiful location

I'd definitely recommend Akteon Village.
It's a short taxi or bus ride out of paphos centre so you are away from all of that noise and bustle but it's close enough to reach for a day or night out.

From the hotel you can walk along a path that leads all the way up the coast to coral bay or the other way into paphos.
If you have a sea view room then you will definitely not be disappointed with the views. Incredible sunsets!

Now for the hotel itself:

Firstly the staff. They just can't do enough for you. I had a few enquiries and they helped me out so much. They are ever so friendly and George in the restaurant is the loveliest man you could ever meet.
The entertainment staff are great too and a young lady called Grace is always around to help or answer any questions you might have.
The ladies on the reception and the bar staff were also great. All so friendly and helpful and the dark haired chap in the cocktail bar makes a mean cocktail.

The Saturday night entertainment is great.
I only stayed for three nights and one of the other nights had a dance act on and the other was karaoke. Plenty of fun if you're up for it.

The rooms are big and plenty of light comes through. Air conditioning unit is great and there's a tv in the room.

Rooms are serviced daily if you wish and are clean.

Food in the buffet is nice and fresh! Always several super tasty dishes available which you don't always get at these places!

Little shop on site is great for snacks and souvenirs.

In desperate need of an update.

This hotel is defiantly not a 4 star hotel, is in desperate need of an update, food is only just palatable, breakfasts are always cold, reception staff are very helpful and happy, bar staff are the most miserable people ive ever had the pleasure to meet. Beds are like rock with flat pillows, only had 4 coat hangers, asked for more but never received. The beach is quite a trek and if your all inclusive a waste off time (That's if you can call it a beach a small patch off sand in front of another impressive hotel) Very disappointing holiday!!!!

Just back from a family holiday staying at the Akteon. We had a great trip few days there. A one bedroom apartment was fab for us and our toddler and a travel cot was provided by the hotel. The room wasn't spotless but the bathroom was cleaned daily. Our son loved the swimming pools which kept him entertained for hours. The large pool had a huge shallow end which meant he could sit and splash about and we could sit close by. There were plenty of sunloungers even though the hotel was full when we stayed. We went room only but ate at the pool bar a few times (really big portions) and had breakfast (standard buffet breakfast, lots of choice). There wasn't a great deal to do on an evening in the area other than the hotel entertainment but Paphos is a short taxi ride away. Overall I would stay here again.

Located at Chlorakas beach, Akteon Holiday Vilage executive suites are large, clean apartments with stunning sea view balcony, fully equiped kitchenette with small refrigerator, 2 electric stoves, kettle and microwave oven, living room with sofa, armchairs and LCD TV.
Unfortunately, except the hand soap, no complimentaryvtoiletries are offered to the guests and there are no double beds available in any of the apartments.
Breakfast is american style buffet with plenty of medium quality, low cost local and imported products.
If you are looking for some relaxing moments, Akteon Holiday Vilage offers SPA services at an extra cost.
The beach in front of the complex is not offered for swimming (it's a rocky, not a sandy beach with waves when the wind is blowing) but there is a family friendly pool area. Coral Bay beach is also a 10 minutes ride by car.
For SUV owners Lara beach, located inside the protected area of Akamas Peninsula, is also a perfect place for swimming.
Tombs of the Kings archeological sight and Paphos Zoo are also a short ride from Akteon Holiday Vilage, while Paphos port is accesible by car in about 20-25 minutes, because of the public works that are in progress in the area nowadays.
The bus stop located about 500 m. away of the complex is a big asset for low budget travelers without a car.
Check-out is strictly until 12 noon, otherwise there is a 50% extra charge for 4 hours (until 4 pm).

Great location for a relaxing holiday

Studio room had a fabulous position looking out to the sea, with wonderful sunsets. Room was comfortable with good equipment. Food was OK but we were only B and B. Good pool facilities, no beach at the hotel but a few bays in the local area and of coarse Coral Bay just down the coast. Finally some very good restaurants a short taxi drive away.

Stylish, relaxing, friendly

Reception staff Andreas and Helena were lovely, they made me feel very welcome. The photos are a true dipiction on the stylish lobby and bar / pool area, although the pool was smaller than I thought it would be. Still a good area by the pool to chillax. I booked a studio and was upgraded to a funky apartment, really love the decor. I enjoyed my time here and would stay again.

Staid here for a few days in June, Had an upstairs room, there were no DVD or Toiletries, The room was old and dated, BUT it was Clean, Bed Comfy and quiet, Pool area was very good, Great for Families, Food Average, Drinks a little over priced, Entertainment at night was amateur but what they lacked for in professionalism they may up for with effort and the staff where very helpful and nice, Most who staid there were Russian but very nice and well mannered, Unlike the usual Brit mobs

Pleasant hotel

Plenty of sun loungers around the pool which was clean and inviting. Beach towels could be hired at a cost of E5,we had to ask about this as there was no mention on booking in and no advice was given regarding change of these towels through the week either.Beds were comfortable, and rooms kept clean.

There is a good restaurant just up the road from the hotel that served nice food and a nice atmosphere at a reasonable price but, we travelled to either Paphos Harbour or Coral Bay most nights. The bus stop was a 5 minute walk away with the hotel more or less in the middle of the 2 resorts. We bought the E5 all day bus ticket when going to Coral Bay beach and then onto one of the resorts for dinner later with buses running every 15 minutes (after 11pm had to pay E2.50 for bus or E12 taxi fare). One way journeys are only 1.50 anyway so, cheap enough. The hotel is alittle out of the way so, you needed transport to get anywhere for dinner etc as we were self catering.

I lost our safe key in the middle of the holiday, the reception staff soon sorted this out by arranging for the handy man to change the lock for us straight away without any fuss, only problem was their master key didn't work and he had to hammer out the lock (I found this quite reassuring though).

WE had a late flight but, staff were really helpful with providing fresh towels for us to use the Spa facilities to freshen up after a day out and stored our luggage for us.

On arrival the Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was surprisingly larger than we expected which was a bonus for us.The rooms were very clean ,but the furnishings were a little dated and could do with a bit of updating.The food was of varied choice and enjoyable.The only problem we encountered was regarding parking,which is limitted.We would definately recommend this Hotel and will return in the future.

Good hotel with clean room and very good services. Food of average quality. What indicated on the web concerning the location (close to the airport) is not true. It is about half hour driving without traffic

Would not reccomend this hotel!

We arrived late at night - if it had been in the day I would have imediately asked for different room - we were next to the service area that frequently had bags of rubish left around...... to the rear of our apartment was a small garden area that could have been lovely, we had to remove rubish from the scrappy grass area and there were cats on our verandah chairs....
Bathroom - black stained bath, very uninviting, no bath plug, no toilet roll holder and loo seat did'nt fit and only 1 bath towel! The kettle did'nt work and couldn't use toaster as wrong plug. We were only there 5 nights and on 3 occasions we returned from days out to find our room had not been serviced!The pool was clean but the communial areas around pool, garden etc in need of care and attention.
Goood points - reastaurant and bar good. Plenty of hot water.
We have stayed at this complex twice previously and were happy. we shall not be returning!

Nice for families

Nice executive rooms but the whirlpool baths do not work. Also there was a lot of locals there who can be quite loud. Ideal for families due to pool size.

Great vacation

My family is from Israel. The hotel was booked for a meeting with old friends celebrate his birthday. From the first seconds we felt a warm welcome from the staff, who quickly prepared our room and allowed us to be occupied before the appointed time.
The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a lovely lawn. The pool was very clean and comfortable for all ages. Breakfast is a bit monotonous, but it did not spoil the general atmosphere of the holiday. Walk to the beach was a bit too far, and the beach is poor. The hotel would recommend to people who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet, clean, quiet.

Pools nice, beds not!

We stayed at the Akteon in Sept 11. Location a bit off the beaten track, but only about 10-15 mins walk to a bus stop. Bus trips were a euro, or two euros for an all day ticket & they didn't charge at weekends.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning, and it was not easy to find our apartment as there was not much lighting.
Staff very friendly. Entertainment not great & was never at the advertised time. Food was very varied but not really to my taste.
Pools were lovely, although the sunbeds need updating as several were broken or very nearly broken.
Beds in the apartment were a bit too hard & uncomfortable for my liking.
No lights on the balcony, which was a shame as it would have been nice to sit out there after an evening out to chill.
Over all, a nice place to stay, but not sure if i'd go back.

the room smelled badly from some cheap cleaning chemicals but the receptionist changed our room in 20 minutes .The second room also smells badly .Both the rooms had ants and no double bed as we wanted.
From the old crt tv we could only watched some russian channels and there wasn't a TV remote control, i asked the receptionist for remote control and told me that is finish at the moment.
The furniture of the room appart from dirty chairs had and other dirty items.
Absolutely not a 4 star hotel.

We have stayed 4 days and they just came only once to clean the room and change the bath towels.
Outside the room was very dirty especially in the grass around the rooms. It was full of ants and mosquitoes . The food was good.

Value for money!!

This hotel is great!!! the rooms are very spacious with a nice balcony. The resort is set around lovely grounds and the studio rooms/bungalows are great. I want to make a very big point. If you have a family and want an activity based holiday this is the place for you. The entertainment team are excellent and will encourage all to join in. I did both archery and french bowls which gave me the opportunity to socialize with other guests. This also keeps the kids really busy and gives the parents time to get much needed rest and a suntan!!
The arab looking member of the entertainment team is brilliant. He is very good with everyone and often screams at passing boats until they reply!!!!!
This hotel is a must if visiting paphos and is very reasonably priced

The room was not comfortable for a 4 star hotel.
Beds weren't comfortable and kids complained for these.Also air conditions didn't work and the indoor pool had a bad smell.Breakfast and dinner were poor.

For a 4-star rating, I was expecting a bit more from the hotel. The front-desk service was poor (2 out of the 3 employees were extremely rude). The walk to room was very uncomfortable being that the smell of garbage was overwhelming. The room was ok. It was clean and provided enough space for my family, however the towels stunk. I couldn't even use them b/c they smelled so bad. I truly believe this is a case of \"you get what you pay for\". If you are on a tighter budget then this is the place for you.

Very good to the rest with childrens. Good apartments. Exellent animation team. Mini club works twice a day. Good swiming pools. But: bad housekeeping. Self laundry service. No self beach.

URLAUB ZUM 2. MAL IN DEM 4* HOTEL VERBRACHT

Wir haben das 2. mal in diesem Hotel einige Tage verbracht und sind erneut nicht enttäuscht worden.

Die Hotelanlage ist zwar weitläufig, aber ruhig gelegen.
Es gibt 3 Außen Pool's und 1 Spa Bereich, die für den fehlenden Strand ersetzen.

Unser Studio-Zimmer war mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt.

Wir haben Halbpension gebucht gehabt und waren von der großen Auswahl des Buffet zum Frühstück und Abendessen auch dieses Mal überwältigt.
Es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.
( Vegtarier werden auch berücksichtigt )

Wir würden es jeder weiterempfehlen, auch wenn ca. 80 % der Hotelgäste aus Großbritannien kommen.

Wir würden das Hotel auf jedenfall jederzeit wieder buchen.
