Great pool, and breakfast, perfect if looking for a quiet property to relax on. The only downside is if you leave the resort for a walk or a jog, the neighbourhood dogs are very far from friendly. Be very careful, most are behind gates but not all.

The staff was so wonderful and warm to (Jaime Melo and Sal and Nonno Baglieri) special gratitude to Ritonela Federico and Biagio. They helped beyond expectation to all our needs. Changing of room was done immediately and smoothly. We all felt so welcomed and would promote this great Family resort to everyone who appreciates peace and quiet and amazing staff. Breakfast was an abundance of great fresh food and baked goods, all that one would expect and some.

This property was a fantastic find. Stayed for two days and now I wish that I could have stayed a little longer. Twenty minutes to-the beach, many excellent Sicilian restaurants, historic sights and beautiful scenery. The property had excellent amenities, great staff and beautiful rooms. After travelling for three weeks this was an ideal relaxation.

Loved this property. It was the 2nd to last night of an 18 night trip and it was just what we needed. Quiet, relaxed, serene surroundings. The pool is large and well maintained. We were so relaxed, we spent most of the following day there instead of traveling early to do more sightseeing. We felt refreshed after a day of reading and lounging by the pool in this beautiful setting. Also had quiet walkways through lovely gardens.

Quiet and nice property

The property is kept clean and the pool is nice. The people are nice who run it. It is very quiet and the beds are nice.

The one thing I would report is the mold in the windows and bathroom (this is something all 13 hotels we stayed at had a problem with - especially since there are no bathroom fans in any of the Italy properties) I am picky about mold so I am letting others know. I let the property know that the windows and grout/shower had mold.

Wonderful resort. Highly recommended!

Great pool and breakfast with a vast range of local products and homemade cakes. The staff could not have been more helpful - they even let us borrow a highchair to take to a local restaurant one evening. The play area for children and a shaded area in the garden with drawing materials was a lovely touch. Thank you for a lovely break.

This is an excellent property with a high service quality. The manager and staff are very helpful and a great breakfast is provided. The bed is comfortable and the ac works well. The pool is nice and cool. The property is not the easiest to find and there are limited facilities in the surrounding area because it is located several kms outside Ragusa.

Artemisia was an oasis!
The environment was beautiful, the staff delightful and so accommodating and the facilities excellent.
My room was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with a great shower!
The air conditioner struggled to make much impact, could be a problem on a very hot day.
The breakfast was beyond expectations of a continental offering with eggs and bacon on offer as well as a huge selection of cereal, fruits, tortes..... great coffee too!!
I would highly recommend this property...

We stayed at Artemesia for two weeks in May. It is an ideal location to explore the lovely South East of Sicily. Our accommodation ( in Number 1) was comfortable, well equipped and more than we expected. The whole resort is clean and well maintained and we found the staff to be friendly and extremely helpful. There was a wide range of food available at breakfast and the option to have evening meals brought in from a local restaurant was useful after a late arrival back at the resort. The swimming pool is excellent. We would happily stay again.

We loved our stay at Artemisia Resort so much that we returned a few days later on our way back to Catania! It is a beautiful resort in the peace and quiet of the countryside, and yet just a few minutes drive in to Ragusa. The rooms are fully equipped with a beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Also provided is a kettle and mini bar...not always the case in Italy! And very welcome! The pool is wonderful, very large and clean and very relaxing after a day of sightseeing! With lots of sun beds available. They have an amazing breakfast! Bacon, eggs, meats, cheeses, and a wonderful array of Sicilian cakes and fruits. But the most important of all for us was the family and staff!! They were all so welcoming, happy and friendly and went way out of their way to help with anything we required! Best staff ever...and we have travelled a lot! By the time we left we felt like we had made new friends!! So thank you so much to Federico and his parents, and also Samantha and Noemi...among others!!! Your place is outstanding and we cannot wait to visit you all again soon!

Affordable Luxury - A True Sicilian Gem

Superb 8 day stay at the Artemisia Resort which has everything and more....

What a great find! Easy to locate & well signposted, found on the outskirts of Ragusa.

Greeted by welcoming, helpful staff after the 100km (90 minute) drive from Catania Airport & was delighted with my allocated modern, newly renovated, spacious & well equipped, air conditioned period room.

Like with everything is Sicily, they certainly like to hide their gems! I cannot speak highly enough of the attention to detail given by each member of staff & this really is the definition of value for money. Special mention to Francesca who helped me so much during my visit with special places to visit. It truly was a memorable trip!

The pool is an added bonus & the breakfast caters for all tastes. Although there is no on-site restaurant, the local delivery service from a nearby establishment provides a large range of high quality food in a timely manner.

Artemisia Resort should surely have a higher star rating & I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to explore the real Sicily.

A true ambassador for Sicily & Italian hospitality - Thank you so much!

This is a really nice hotel to relax in. The location is not ideal and you need a car to go anywhere. Breakfast is very good with a variety of local cakes and sweet pastries, but there's no restaurant for lunch or dinner although food can be ordered in from a nearby restaurant.
The outstanding feature of this hotel is the staff - all very helpful and friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.

This peaceful country resort has plenty of opportunity for exploring and many diversions to keep one happily occupied. There is a pool, table tennis, checker board, paperback novels, magazines and a children's play area. Noemi checked us in and with her great smile and personality made us very quickly feel at home. She offered a dinner recommendation close to the land then made reservations for us. Rooms are large, beds comfortable and good WiFi in the room. A buffet breakfast awaited us the next morning with hot and cold choices as well as many options of Sicilian pastries. We enjoyed our one night stay in the country!

We have just come back fully relaxed from a week’s stay at Arrtemisia. We had a wonderful time and our thanks go to all the staff there who were so friendly and helpful. The gardens, terraces and pool are surrounded by lovely fields full of wild flowers, so if you need a rest from that busy schedule of touring the baroque towns, then this is the place to recharge your batteries. The downside to this is you need a car as Ragusa and Modica are about 20 minutes away. You can stay and eat though in the evenings via a takeaway service from a nearby restaurant. The staff do all this for you and serve the food to you in the dining room. Last mention goes to the fabulous breakfasts, especially the fast aray of cakes and pastries on offer. Highly recommend.

Hidden Gem of a Hotel near Ragusa

What a great find.
Superlative in every way.
Reception full of useful information and advice.
Room excellent. 5 star.
Breakfast - everything you would ever want and more. The freshly pressed orange juice was superb.
Grounds - impressive, the pool too cold in April to use.
Recommend it - to everyone.
Stay again - would go back tomorrow if we could.
Parking - very easy.
Directions and finding the hotel a little difficult, but from the main road there are good signs.
You would not be disappointed with a stay there.
Sadly no restaurant on site, but the recommendation for nearby restaurants was perfect.
When visiting Sicily make this one of your hotel stays.

this was our second stay at the Artemesia resort and the standard has got better. the location is great for us touring Sicily. The staff are very helpful and the rooms more than adequate. Situated in a quiet residential location with excellent parking facilities on site. Good options for breakfast.

A week in March

The hotel was easy to find with good signs from Ragusa. Our bedroom was roomy and comfortable, and had all the facilities we needed. At breakfast we had a comprehensive choice including a form of english breakfast. The staff were helpful gave us directions with hand drawn maps for places to visit and eat, they even loaned us an umbrella for the rain. You need a car to visit the hotel - mind you Italian driving is an experience!

A great find.

We were made to feel very welcome and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.The rooms were spacious and clean and the swimming pool was also very clean.Although there was no restaurant we found two within a five minute drive, the Monalisa and the Domus Aurea. Both were very good and good value.It was and excellent centre to visit places like Ragusa, Noto and the beach.Breakfast was great...fruit,cheeses,ham,eggs,pastries,fresh orange juice.
We had no complaints whatsoever....

When we arrived we were met by Josie and a big warm smile,when shown to our room ,it actually brought tears of joy to my wife's face,we did not expect to have such an exeptional room of quality, for an agriturismo,comp!ementary bottle of wine,and a nice surprise our own terrace next to the pool,magnificent breakfast of local produce,I.e. the fig tart !!!,.There is room service every day and the staff work extremely hard ,all try and speak English and other languages, pool is immaculate, cleaned every hour,it is we think heaven on earth !!

The best of all worlds!

Beautiful rooms, spotless and spacious. Kettle and fridge useful additions. Staff super friendly and helpful. The whole complex is stunning and very well thought out. We only stayed one night as they were fully booked but could have stayed forever! You will need a car to get around from here, nothing in the immediate vicinity but you can order food to be delivered in and it was delicious and not expensive. Easy to get to and well signed off main roads. 10/10 on all counts, thank you!

Room a bit spartan but clean and relatively large; quiet; breakfast buffet one of the best we had; it included fresh ricotta in little baskets along with good espresso, fruit, salumi, tarts, breads, etc. They sell wine as well, and we bought a nice Cerasuolo di Vittoria. Best event was driving down to Scicli in the evening and enjoying the passeggiata.

Quiet with pool near Ragusa

Quiet, in country just a few minutes outside beautiful Ragusa, with wonderful staff, lovely pool and deck, free bikes to ride, amazing breakfast, clean and well maintained simple rooms. Though the way is well marked with signs once you get on the local road leading to Artemisia, if you will be arriving via the hill towns of Southeast Sicily with their lack of any functional signage make sure you get very careful directions.

It was tough to find after our iPhone battery died (google maps) but we were able to stop into a car dealer and recharge. The setting was lovely and the price was right. Very clean. Very new. Breakfast was okay but I'm not a big cake eater for breakfast and the choices were cakes or cereal. All in all it was a very clean comfortable place to stay.

Artimesia is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are comfortable (lovely and warm in the winter months with underfloor heating). The staff are courteous and very helpful and the breakfasts are wonderful. The only thing is that a car is a must both to get to the hotel and to local sites.

Excellent, once youv'e found it!

The hotel's location is fairly remote, and (not having a sat-nav) we had great difficulty finding it, partly because the signage on the main roads petered out. However, the Artemesia lived up to expectation, with large bedrooms, comfy beds, very friendly staff, and a good buffet breakfast taken on the outside terrace. We only wished we could have stayed longer and sampled the outdoor swimming-pool.

Superb hotel 15 min drive from Ragusa.

I had read other excellent reviews for this hotel and I was not disappointed. The Artemesia Resort is just fabulous. The room was very comfortable and clean. The shower was great. There was a hairdryer, a fridge, a safe, and air-con in the room that worked well.
The staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. If you told them where you wanted to visit they produced a map, told you where you could park and recommended a restaurant.
Breakfast was also superb. A buffet was available every morning with rolls, cheeses, hams, egg, jams, fresh fruit and pastries and cakes to die for!
I can't fault this hotel. It's not in walking distance of shops or restaurants, so you do have to drive to it, but then it's peaceful and has a lovely swimming pool (with a Jacuzzi), and it's not too expensive.

Comfortable stopover for family touring Sicily

Stayed one night on our independent tour of Sicily. It was a little hard to find, and a little out of the way for our journey plans, but the staff were so welcoming it was worth the small diversion. Clean, comfortable and with a kettle in the room, it was perfect for one night. There is a lovely swimming pool which we we told we could use anytime day or night - but alas, the weather was terribly cold and windy we could not brave it! No food on site but we were recommended to visit a pizzeria, 10 mins drive away, which was also very good. Lots of fuel stations locally also, which was handy for the long drive the next day. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, with traditional Sicilian cakes, tarts and biscuits, fresh juice and coffee.

Das Resort ist schön und ruhig gelegen. Nach Ragusa ist es nur einen Katzensprung. Das Zimmer war nicht super groß aber ausreichend, alles sauber und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Erwähnenswert ist das Frühstück, es war super lecker und fehlte an nichts. Die Kuchen müssen probiert werden. Alles in allem eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung. Jederzeit wieder…

Un accueil sympathique et en français. L'hôtesse nous a accompagné à notre chambre. Celle-ci était spacieuse. On regrettera cependant l'absence de chaînes françaises. Salle d'eau avec une vraie douche à l'italienne. Le cadre campagne est appréciable. Un dîner peut-être commandé. Les portions sont très généreuses. Un plat suffit. Le calme règne et vous serez prêt à déguster votre petit déjeuner. Le choix est important, un plus serait de déguster un véritable jus de fruit.

Comodissima come posizione per visitare Ragusa, la Val di Noto, Siracusa. Eccellente come struttura, nuova, funzionale, pulitissima e con un'ottima colazione (ci fosse poi la granita....). Tutto il personale disponibilissimo, gentile e pronto a soddisfare ogni tua richiesta. Ed in più una bellissima piscina per rilassarsi al rientro dalle tue giornate in giro per la Sicilia.

Il nostro soggiorno ha superato le aspettative. La camera era molto grande e comoda, il personale estremamente cortese e la colazione presentava una vasta varietà tra dolce e salato, con molti prodotti per celiaci ed intolleranti al lattosio come me, tutto di qualità.

Ottimo country hotel situato nella campagna vicino Ragusa. Camere molto spaziose e comode, pulizia ottima, disponibilità e cortesia del personale. Ottima posizione per visitare il ragusano, Ibla, Modica, Scicli, marina di Ragusa, tutto vicino. Bella e comoda la piscina. Colazione super sia dolce che salata.

Struttura abbastanza isolata, purtroppo il navigatore vi porta sul retro dove non c'è ingresso ma comunque c'è un'insegna che vi porta all'entrata principale. Ampio parcheggio sterrato con una colonnina per auto elettriche. L'impatto può sembrare dispersivo ma leggendo qualche cartello ci si orienta subito.
Personale cordiale e disponibile, oltretutto ben presente nelle ore di punta. La camera prenotata (economy), piccola ma accogliente è servita di tutto il necessario come un frigo, TV, aria condizionata autonoma e wifi, forse avrei messo qualche prodotto per l'igiene in più. Segnalo solo che con la camera accanto si sentono i rumori provenienti dalla parete comunicante (nel mio caso con il bagno dei vicini) perciò bisogna augurarsi di trovare persone che osservino gli orari di silenzio e notturni.
Per il resto c'è un bella piscina abbastanza ampia ma ci vorrebbe qualcuno che la pulisca di tanto in tanto da tutti gli insetti sull'acqua. Possibilità di avere dei trattamenti per massaggi vari e qui segnalo la bravura della massaggiatrice Giulia che con un massaggio impegnativo di 1 ora è stata veramente brava e professionale, migliorerei solo la stanza adibita ai massaggi, con qualche led e diffusore aromatico per avere un'atmosfera più rilassante e toglierei il ventilatore (rumoroso e a volte fastidioso) per un clima anche piccolino che tenga fresco l'ambiente. Insomma piccole accortezze ma tutto sommato un bellissimo posto silenzioso e rilassante per tutti. Consigliato!
