very bad smell throughout the entire floor hallway and the rooms smelled disgusting… The staff was very friendly, and when I reported the smell, they attempted to help recognized. It was horrible, but put a little spray which you did hardly anything at all and only for a couple of minutes.

Two Nights in Ragusa

The hotel looks contemporary. Think 1970s cruise ship. The entire place was spotlessly clean. All staff members were helpful and friendly. Garage staff were great as well. Noise was a bit of an issue with the windows open. Some rooms are small and cumbersome. Others are huge and lovely. The shower was the best I’ve had in Sicily. Beds were comfortable. The bar staff was outstanding. La Bomba pizza down the street was cheap and tasty.

We struggled getting to this hotel. The bridge across the gap was one-way...the wrong way.
After I broke the law to run in for instructions, the staff person directed me down this curved road to a tiny parking garage with a kooky man in charge. We were highly confused, language issues, but we got to our room.
Our room was sizeable, with a balcony looking out over the gap, bridge, and kooky man's parking garage. We are happy when a room has as many chairs as occupants. I enjoyed the comfort of the bed. The bathroom was fine except the shower was quite constrained--aka small. But hey, we're just passing thru.
OK place.

I chose this hotel for its location and for onsite parking. This hotel is old and worn looking, it can use a total renovation. Location if very nice on the main shopping street, short walk to main tourist spot. The breakfast that is included is good, not as good as other Italian hotels.

It rained the whole time we were in Ragusa which dampened our spirts a bit. However, the staff was friendly and helpful and also assisted us with dinner reservations and a taxi to Old Town for our first night's dinner. All in all, we enjoyed seeing the historic old town of Ragusa. Our hotel was in the new section but easily reached by taxi.

Wonderful Hotel

I loved my stay here. The staff was very helpful with the only exception of the guy who manages the garage. The suites are roomy and clean. The ladies at the reception were so helpful and polite. The shower was my only complaint: is super small. Sure is more accessible than a tub, but using it takes a contortionist. I will never understand italian bathrooms. Would stay here again, though, as the shower wasn't a huge hassle.

The hotel location was great, right on the main street and close to restaurants and bars, and an easy 10-minute walk away from the stairs to Ragusa Ibla. Parking was available in the garage for 8 euros, and available street parking was nonexistent. The room was adequate, and the breakfast buffet of coffee, fruits, breads, ricotta, jams, bacon and cheese really hit the spot. The only downside was inconsistent wifi.

Well located to visit Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla, about 4 mins from the Cathedral, and a similar distance from the busstop to other areas of the town. Has its own parking in the basement (accessed by a lower road), at a cost of €8/day. Very helpful staff.

Great location to stay in Ragusa

We had a great time at this hotel. Very central, Clean rooms and very comfortable. Breakfast is great and abundant. You wouldn't expect more. We parked our car in the garage and therefore we had no worries about parking.The staff is the greatest asset this hotel has. They are friendly and helpful. Only hitch is the single lift that was not working on the first day we arrived. In my opinion this great hotel needs 2 lifts for its size.

This clean and modern hotel is based in a good location if you arrive by public transport or taxi. Clean (almost clinical) place where white is the dominant colour. Breakfast is varied but bland. Ok broadband (1MB down 200kB up) varies with time. Friendly staff and a nice bar underneath which is easily one of the best ones in town.

Difficult to find entrance. The street at the front entrance is blocked off. Got locked in garage for 30 minutes due to power outage and there are no escape exits. Then it took awhile to get elevators working properly. A/C barely did anything. Food at dinner just ok. Breakfast better.

Absolutley no issues at all. The only comment I would make is that the web site description needs updating as there is no longer a bar area and the restuarant only opens sometimes. All the the staff were fantastic and welcoming. (perhaps the parking guy could smily though!) Breakfast was one of the best Buffett's I have seen everyone catered for from Eggs / Ham etc to a wide range of fruits and drinks. I will definitly reccomend the hotel 100% and stay there again.

Have to say great hotel and very cofortable. Hotel staff from those on fron desk to the garage man which is extra were the best. The cleaners keeping your room very clean and comfortable. My only minus was the Restaurant which was only open 8pm till 10pm and waited half an hour and still had neither drink or menu, totally ignorant.This didn't matter as we were in centre of town and close to plenty of good restaurants.

We stayed for three nights and found the hotel adequate and central to the main town. We had great difficulty finding the hotel as our sat nav instructions took us through impossibly narrow streets and ended up in a newly created pedestrian area. Accurate directions or an up to date map with access roads is required. The car park want easy to identify. It was labelled as a Best Western Hotel but we did not know that the Mediterranee was part of that group from the printout from Hotels.com.

The hotel is located very close to the center of Ragusa and a 10 minute walk to Ragusa Ibla but offers no decor or charm itself. If you have limited time, do the walk in Ragusa Ibla rather than the center of Ragusa. The lady at the reception was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in good English. We found a paid-parking space on the bridge steps away from the hotel for a few Euros a day, a little cheaper than 8 Euros, the hotel's parking charge. The restaurant/breakfast room was unimpressive with no frill and the breakfast was basic-it's just a huge banquet room. The place is dated and needs lots of touch up paint. The highlight of the hotel was the outstanding service by the lady at the reception.

Mediterraneo Palace Hotel

My only issues with this hotel were that the water glasses in the hotel restaurant at dinner were not clean (check them before you use them) and the buffet selection at breakfast was more what I'd expect from a 3-star hotel than a 4-star one. The hotel's location can't be beat for Ragusa Superiore, but if you have a choice between staying in Ragusa Superiore and Ragusa Ibla, choose Ibla because it is much more charming and interesting than Superiore. Hotel staff were friendly, but none of them were able to give me the exact location of the nearest local bus stop (off of Plaza Liberta); I got the location from a nearby tobacco shop (Tabacchi) that sold me the bus ticket. I used this hotel as a base to make day trips to Modica and Scicli (from the bus station on Via Zama), but in hindsight I would have been better off staying in Modica in terms of better bus transportation..

Very central location in beautiful Ragusa

As we were flying to Comiso Airport and Ragusa is the nearest town, we decided to do an overnight. It was a very pleasant experience and the Mediterraneo Palace Hotel was very centrally located. Friendly, efficient staff with a wealth of local knowledge. Clean rooms, lovely buffet breakfast and good value for money. What more could we want!

Very nice hotel, especially for Italy

The rooms are spacious and modern. Our room had a nice view of the pool and the ocean. The best feature of the hotel is the Olympic size pool with small fountains in the center of the pool. The hotel is conveniently located near Acireale and only 20 minutes from the airport in Catania. We stayed at the hotel the night before our early morning flight. The town of Acireale is less than 5 minutes by car and we had no trouble finding parking in the town.

Il letto abbastanza comodo ma il piumone era terribile, dentro era pieno di grumi che davano fastidio, sicuramente non da junior suite.
La vasca idromassaggio molto comoda ma la rubinetteria dei lavandini e della doccia terribili, ho dovuto chiedere alla reception di mandare qualcuno a togliere un po’ di calcare dai rubinetti perché faceva fatica ad uscire l’acqua.

Está en plena zona comercial, pero al ser una calle peatonal no tiene ruido de tráfico, y está muy céntrico a 5 minutos de la catedral, en la ciudad alta. La habitación asignada estaba sin renovar y era de una calidad muy inferior a las de su página. Bien de tamaño e insonorización. Desayuno con fruta fresca, algo de fiambre y de queso. Muy escaso en variedad y calidad de pan. Buen café.

Struttura nella norma, niente di particolare. Mi hanno fatto parcheggiare lungo una strada nonostante fosse presente il garage interno e avendo richiesto la possibilità di usufruirne. Con 2 bambini piccoli, sono stato costretto per 2 sere a cenare fuori in quanto il ristorante della struttura era chiuso. A questo punto invece di chiamarsi hotel, potevano presentarsi come bed and breakfast .
