Wonderful location, staff and room. I travel often and would stay again. Beautiful, charming older building with character. Only one hiccup (the staff loved their heating). I walked in and it was about 85F. The towel warmer was broken and heated the entire room. Slept with window open so all good. They tried to fix it however I only stayed 2 nights. This didn't hurt my review because staff was so nice to help. Again great location and room.

The room and guest service were excellent in all regards. Got off on a shaky foot when staff mistakenly checked me into a room with incomplete renovation in progress. Both the hotel and a next door property were being remodeled and completion was behind schedule. Hotel gave me a free upgrade to a bigger room with a corner view.

This tidy hotel is well placed in a quiet but central corner of Brescia. Unfortunately when I arrived in my room, the bathroom smelled strongly of bleach, which permeated the bedroom as well. I left the windows open all afternoon, to no avail. It was like sleeping next to a swimming pool.

The best thing I can say for this hotel (aside from being old and in the historic center of Brescia), is the REMARKABLE STAFF! They were EXCELLENT, and did their best to ensure your stay was a good one.
Other than that, the room was dimly lit, even with the drapes wide open, and come night, the lighting made worse. The bathroom also dimly lit, and the shower is small. If you are a person of GIRTH, then taking a comfortable shower might come with its setbacks. As it was for us, and we are NOT overweight. Plus, the sink drained horribly. There was a queen-size bed and a single bed in our room, and that made opening up the one-large standing closet with a lock, a challange. Because you would have to push the single bed aside, just to get to your clothes.Although, the housekeeping staff kept the room spotless, and with fresh towels and linen daily. As far as the breakfast: Average - a few notches above continental. But the coffee was awful! Even a brewed cappucino tasted weak, and unlike the cappucinos from other hotels or cafes. However, the woman working in the dining room did a great job and was quite kind.The hotel is within easy walking distances to practically everything. Also, there is also a wonderful-little bakery located directly across from the hotel,that has some delicious goodies.
Finally, If you want to experience Brescia from a old-town perspective, then Albergo Orologio Hotel may be for you!

The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were not - but upon request I was given a different better pillow. The breakfast was sparse. Location was great but this was the nosiest hotel I have ever experienced. Reception desk next to staircase to the rooms and the receptionist spoke so loud that I could hear every word. I had to turn on the TV in order to not hear every conversation at the reception desk. Receptionist was rather rude. The only redeeming value of the hotel is its prime location but it is a steep price to pay when sleep or quiet is impossible due to a very loud receptionist who has no regard for the quests.

Stayed for a family visit to Brescia. The location is awesome, right in the center, you cannot possibly be closer to the historic sites. No parking, but this is understandable, and a public parking is within 4 min walk. Breakfast is ok, just slower due to COVID. Our quadruple room was enormous - probably the largest we ever stayed in, located right under the room, even had a skylight with an amazing view.

Pleasant old style small hotel in historical centr
The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with choices. Shower and bathroom very small. Disturbing factor was that washbasin and bidet had large plug holes with no filter. Interdental brushes disappeared down the plug hole and so could have large lipsticks and toothbrushes. Otherwise great relaxed atmosphere and excellent location.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! It is in an old historic building but room have all the mod cons. It is the perfect location just steps from the Duomo and many great restaurants. Brescia is a super walkable city and has lots of great museums, a castle, shopping, and things to do. Would definitely visit again and stay at Hotel Orologio next time too!

This hotel is located right in the center of Brescia which is a wonderful small Italian city well worth visiting. The rooms while not large are extremely comfortable. The front staff is welcoming and gives great tips on restaurants and anything else you need. Best of all, the included fantastic breakfast can be served to you in your room.

Good location in the middle of old town, but street outside was very noisy on the weekend with music all night long, ok on weekdays. The room was nice and we had a really nice view, but it was cold and the bed was very hard. Breakfast was mostly sweet stuff. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful!

Hotel in posizione strategica e perfetta per visitare il centro storico di Brescia. Personale all'accoglienza gentile e disponibile, colazione insoddisfacente, poca varietà e spesso prodotti confezionati, la colazione è organizzata in una sala piccolissima dove si mangia gomito a gomito con gli altri ospiti. Incredibilmente vengono distribuiti bicchieri di plastica, come se fosse un picnic, solo alla mia esplicita richiesta mi è stata data, con riluttanza, una tazza per il latte.

Un consiglio se prendete la stanza in estate e' di chiedere stanza interna perche quella esterna da sul vicolo sottostante e c'e' confusione e rumore dai locali sottostanti fino a tarda notte (2 del mattino).

Built in 1654, it is the oldest house in the hamlet of Macesina, a small farming village in Bedizzole, Brescia, Western Lombardy, just a few minutes from Lake Garda.
L'Unicorno is located inside a 16th century farmhouse. The first building, constructed during the 16th century, was later embellished by a green Lombard style courtyard finished in 1777 with the well-lit gallery supported by a colonnade in local white.
Botticino marble, in turn completed by the loft in 1779. The original rooms used for farming activities: the barns with the hayloft and the cellar, like the noble wing destined for the owner's living quarters, underwent a careful conservative restoration which has returned the dwelling to its original splendour, whilst conserving all the charm of the old.
The house blends the charm of an exclusive atmosphere from another time with the most recent techniques of biocompatible restoration and the use of the most modern renewable energy technologies.
