Parking is better than it used to be with some free parking outside the front as the large \"gravel area\" has re opened

This hotel is spotless and conveniently located with direct access to Thermes Spa via an attached Fernicular, daily housekeeping was amiss and not as advertised and when I brought it ro the front desk's attention all I recieved waa, would you like some new towels, i can give you some new towels but theres is nonhousekeeping at this time

Under heavy construction

This hotel is under heavy construction. The entire ground floor is currently a construction site with absolutely zero amenities and is just an empty concrete shell. At no point during or since booking several months ago, were we advised of this. On arrival we walked through what is basically a construction site to a makeshift reception desk. We had 4 rooms in total in our group and of the 4, 3 of them had issues. One was the wrong room type and wasn’t 100% ready, another again was a wrong room type and the 3rd was completely dirty and looked as though someone had just checked out of it. Our room situations were addressed fairly quickly, however with the hotel under such heavy construction at present, I barely understand how they can even be open right now. Especially with no advance warning to people making reservations. We stayed here this time last year for the same event and have stayed on previous years and this was always lovely Radisson Blu hotel. It has changed hands within this time and while I understand the new owners may want to change the hotels appearance, this is not just a makeover. This is a full reconstruction. I am not happy that we have paid the price we have for this property, in this condition. I wouldn’t have booked had we known before

Love this hotel. They are undergoing a big renovation, so the bar was closed and the restaurants was limited on space. The lobby was under construction. Other than that, it was a lovely hotel. The breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be back

We arrived to the hotel to be told they had no twin bedrooms despite ordering one. We then where asked to wait & given 2 complimentary drink vouchers. In the end we had to have a smaller room to get twin beds. We then went to the bar & had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be served despite no one else waiting the staff just ignored us to be then told we couldn't have the drinks we wanted with the vouchers just softdrinks, beer or coffee. Once to the room it was clean and nice to sleep in but I was hoping the new owners would improve service from before - it seems not so we shall not be looking to return.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel, and as usual the facilities were good, although the check in experience was disappointing as we had to wait over 90 minutes after the check in time for our room to be ready.

It appeared this was because new TVs were being fitted to the rooms, but there did not seem to be any priority given to getting the rooms ready for those people who were trying to check inn.

Nice, central hotel handy for the thermes or the circuit. Modern, clean interior with well appointed rooms.
Restaurant menu is little limited but reasonably priced only one chicken option, two beef (one a steak, one a burger). Two vegetarian options.
Could do a little more variety for a hotel of this class.

Many things broken, dirty, poor service.

From the moment we arrived and the automatic door did not work to the major light in the bathroom being out to the stains in the toilet, this property was not up to the Radisson name. Worst point was that we chose the property as it is adjacent to the Thermes Spa and we wanted to get our bathing suits and robes and head up on the vernicular. I asked for early check in and as a Silver member of Hotels.com, I expected that I would get some sort of accommodation. When we arrived, she told us to come back In Two hours. We checked out the town, had a coffee and came back. When we returned, they gave us a key to a room with a king bed though we asked for twin beds and had double checked twice. As it turned out, we had to wait until check in time to get a room. This meant we had to dig out spa clothes in the lobby, come back to the lobby after our session at the spa and retrieve our suitcases while wearing a wet robe, and generally did not have any service. Very disappointing, wish we had chosen a less expensive hotel which was cleaner and had better service.

'This was my second stay at this hotel My review is based on my second stay
- Probably effected by the busy season, check in and check out times are unacceptably long. The personnel is young and in training, so they struggle when a problem arises. During my check out, I was asked to pay the total bill, even though the stay was booked and paid via Hotels.com. I was the second person who had this experience that day. The personnel at the desk was new at her job, so even though she did not have a more experienced person in attendance, she handled it quite professionally.
The room cleanliness should be inproved. The pillow I had on the bed had scuff marks from a shoe when I arrived to the room. The house keeping kept the bathroom clean, but the rest of the room was not vacuumed. The beds were made sloppy. The tea mugs that were used the day before were not removed and replaced.
The breakfast is excellent, the choice of food and beverage is very good. As it provides a seperate funicular transport from the hotel to the Thermes, I really like the location of the hotel. Very nice restaurants and hiking trails nearby.
My experience from the first visit was reinforced when it comes to service at the restaurant/bar. The service is VERY slow. Do not bother going to the hotel find yourself a nice place to have your aperitif/dinner.

the hotel doesn't match the picture on the site.
some of the hotel's amenties didn't exist (a pool for example).
the room was dirty, the shower stream was too weak to shower and fresh towels and robes were not provided on one of the days.
even though we complained several times to the staff, they replied that this is the hotel's policy.

The hotel is new and clean, the link to theSpa is a nice touch. However!!!! Check in was slow, staff were average, the parking is extortionate for a small town-city centre prices, the food and drink is also ridiculously priced, the inconsistency between 2 Raddison hotels within a mile of each other is confusing and unnecessary, staff pretty much uninterested, breakfast cold, staff not clearing things away but instead more interested in setting up the area back as the overpriced out of place resultant.... Raddison Blu are NOT the 5* hotel that they want to be. They have a captive audience in Spa-it’s not that big, the night we stayed it was full of generally men who were racing at Spa, why on earth is t there a decent bar menu and why aren’t you showcasing the great Belgium beer-know your audience!!!! None is staying there for a 3 course meal costing €80 plus!!!! There wasn’t a soul in that restaurant!!!! Shame as Spa is an interesting place and the hotel is in a great location....

These comments are written two months after our stay, thus for sure not under a rash of anger.
The hardware is nice, the lifeware is inappropriate. Not uncommon for Belgium to have limited staff considering the cost of employment, but at least they should be efficient: there is basically no service! Having to queue for making your own coffee, at the only single coffee machine for a packed hotel the day after new-year's eve AND being refused to be served is just unacceptable at €200+ a night; AND this reoccured a few days later when hotel occupancy was a lot lower, eventually got these at extra cost with a face, just unacceptable! Young staff running around the breakfast room with little or no efficiency and definitely a sense of willing to be anywhere but there. House keeping, understaffed and overworked, takes ages to get anything though staff was as friendly as they could.
Spa, renowned place for Therms, great let us go to the Therms ... if you like to have a plunge in a pool with 500 other people great, not my cup of tea! Again there, queues, understaffed and overworked!
In a nutshell, never again.

noise of renovations early in the morning

The hotel is undergoing major renovation. Only the first floor is open for guests, who are woken up by nails, drills and overall noise of the works at 8 or 8.30 in the morning. There is no mention of this anywhere online so a very bad surprise, if you are there for leisure, not business. Not recommended for the full price!

Excellent Hotel right in the Heart of SPA

We stay for 3 nights at the Hotel and were very impressed by the professionalism of the entire staff. The Breakfast served caters for every taste and the meals at Lunch and Dinner are of high quality and taste.
We highly recommend a stay. If you want to send postcards from SPA you must go to the Tourism Office as we could find any in the shops or the Hotel.

Hotel in the town

We were travelling to Germany and Spa was a half way stop. We wanted to be close to the town centre and we were. The hotel was excellent. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was very good. We wanted to go to the thermal baths but they were a little expensive for the two of us as this was a short stop. We did go up to the brasserie. It was a perfect place to have a snack, drink and a relax. As we came into Spa we were delighted to see the parade of sports cars. It was a great experience. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Would use the hotel again.

Great Location. Right in the center. Great and easy access to the Thermes de Spa through the funicular to which the guests have special access. Parking could get tricky, so please check with the reception wherever you park. Their own garage parking is expensive.

Neat room. The bed could've been better though - it was too springy for our taste.

The breakfast was good, but the restaurant (breakfast,lunch,dinner) could have more veggie options. Then we'd give it 5 stars on food as well.

High quality hotel in an excellent location

Very friendly and professional reception staff welcome you to a modern hotel with direct funicular access to the Spa and right in the centre of town. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and lots of toiletries. Breakfast is particularly good with cooked or continental buffets and the bar is atmospheric. When we stayed the funicular was faulty so the hotel booked free taxis to take us up and down. I don't recommend the walk up to the Spa unless you are fit, its a long way and very steep in places.

Hotel was very clean and well located. Service from staff was acceptable, neither overly helpful or unfriendly, but could have done with a little more of a friendly/cheerful approach. Free parking outside was easy to find, or you could pay for the underground car park. Access to the thermal spa from within the hotel was great, just pop a hotel robe on and go up via the lift, just don't forget your own flip flops! Breakfast choice was fantastic, but no-one to seat you or explain where everything was, although we found seating quite easily. I have stayed at the sister hotel in Spa, which personally I found more enjoyable, but wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend, especially for the location and price.

Luxury and good value, with no hidden extras!

We enjoyed being in the centre of the town with the convenient free parking directly in front of the hotel. We thought the breakfasts were plentiful and excellent. We had a decent full sized extra bed for our 10 year old son which fitted in the standard room fine. We all slept well, appreciated the tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and found the bathroom more spacious than most hotel rooms. We also made good use of the hotel sauna and mini fitness room and thought the bathrobes were a nice touch! The free wifi was excellent using multiple devices. It was a little ambiguous with the beautiful 'Themes de Spa' photos on the hotel website…but a quick phone call to the hotel from home to check a couple of things, did confirm that these facilities were not included in the room rate! We had three days super biking and walking, the Tourist Info has maps and the routes were excellently signed. The town itself has faded charm, but needs some paintwork touching up at the very least… The hotel were very accommodating allowing us to lock up our bikes in the underground car park. We would recommend this hotel.

Great Location, Comfortable Accommodations

Prime location in the heart of this charming small town, with private access to the funicular trolley up the hill; amazing views from the spa at the top of the hill. My junior suite on the 4th floor was spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves a good breakfast and the outdoor terrace is busy in the afternoons during good weather. The selection of cocktails at the bar was far below average.

A pleasant stay overall. We stayed at this hotel twice in the same week. During the second visit, breakfast was chaotic; they had run out of toasts, scrambled eggs, croissants, tea bags, cereal bowls...all at once. Although there were several staff around, they wouldn't replace stuff unless asked! The bath and sink were blocked but we were quickly offered another room. Too expensive generally...room service costs over 8 euros! An extra child bed costs 25 euros although this is not stated during the booking itself.

I recently stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was satisfactory. The only real issue for me were the ridiculously small sized and uncomfortable pillows - really poor for this standard of hotel. Other than that, the customer service is very mixed with some very lovely and helpful staff and other rather inattentive and careless staff - I hate waiting needlessly for people to finish chatting or prioritise other routine administrative tasks before turning their attention towards me - it's just plain rude!

I happened to be staying during a gathering of folk with awesome supercars readying to go to the Spa racetrack. I think a couple of the chaps were apparently told they could park their cars in front of the hotel (they couldn't fit in the underground parking) only to find their supercars had been towed away - in fairness there were signs posted but still, given its mainly parking for guests, if the staff say it's okay, you'd think you could rely on what they're telling you.

Spa is a nice little Belgian tourist town, excellent for a 2-3 day vacation. Hotel very well situated in the center of town. Extremely friendly and helpful front desk service. Facilities are somewhat older, room service (2nd day) skimps on details, parking is difficult (outside) or very expensive (hotel garage), even in the absence of any major event. I cannot imagine how complicated access and parking must be when the center of town is closed off. But people are very helpful: this town lives off tourism.

nice hotel well located nothing much to say about it wont excite or disappoint you ,be warned I visited on the only week of the year the spa was shut but got a great deal on the hotel.I was there with a colleague we went for a couple of beers before going to a restaurant that I had looked up on trip advisor but it was shut we walked round looking for places that where open and had a decent menu(wasnt a kebab shop) when we eventually found somewhere that was open we where told the kitchen shuts at 9 ,it was 9.15 ,this happened twice more before we actually found somewhere and that was over priced and ordinary ,even the casino shut at 12!!! so the moral of this story go out early and not on a monday it was a ghost town

The hotel is in a great location with the added bonus of parking. We were disappointed at both check in and check out with the staff, there was not a smile in sight not did they seem interested. The room was nice and clean but here was no complimentary bottles of water, the prices of this in the mini bar was excessively priced.
The charge of 25 euros for a roll out bed for our son was a joke and this was not on the booking, when I emailed the hotel to confirm that there would be 3 in our room they made no mention of this charge. Lovely stay in Spa

We spent 2 nights in this hotel - on the 4th floor in a junior suite. These rooms are lovely and have their own balcony (although you can see the other guests so not entirely private). Breakfasts were good with buffet service, incl eggs and bacon. The only negatives were the fruit juices which were not freshly squeezed (unless they were watered down) and we seemed to be hunting for things on the first morning and I thought the organisation could be improved but this was a very minor niggle). Our room wasn't ready for us at 3 and it was well after that until they were happy it had been properly cleaned. However they gave us vouchers for two drinks and paid out parking (3 days at 18€) so we were happy! We ate in the restaurant and the food was good although the waitress didn't seem very interested. We also used the Thermes spa which has a private cable car for hotel residents. We paid 25€ each for all day access plus 86€ for two treatments. We loved the saunas , the quiet 'wooden' room with the rockers / ultra violet light and the infra red beds by the pool. The pool itself was quite busy and I was a bit disappointed as the view from the top was blocked by trees.

Nice hotel

The hotel is fine, but the restaurant is not that good. Some food is not freshly prepared but reheated from cold. The service could also be better.

Good stopover

Perfectly fine for what we needed. One thing to consider is that Spa central at night is pretty limited on food choices. So if you are stoping over on the way back to the channel factor that in.

Nice hotel ideal for Spa Franchorchamp circuit

A well located hotel finished to a good standard. Overall it was a pleasant stay although we found the bar staff slow and tried to charge us for drinks we didn't have on a couple of occasions.

Nice new looking modern hotel

Overall nice hotel,very tight parking garage if you have a large car,nice facilities but the beds are rock hard and difficult to get a good nights sleep on,and the air conditioning is non existant, its more like a warm fan at best, we had 4 rooms booked and all had the same issues so not a 1 off case...All staff very polite..

Nice hotel, great location

Great location, good breakfast, pictures are deceiving as there is no pool here, the pictures are of the thermal waters which the hotel has direct access too which is good and also provides towels and dressing gowns for the thermal baths. Nice hotel, but not sure it was worth the money.

Lovely town, great base for a Spa track day.

Went for two nights, very nice clean hotel. Food average, staff friendly though restaurant staff a little ambivalent. Lovely town to look around check out Stavelot if you have time and then drive around and around Spa it is an amazing circuit.

Loved the location, hotel was great!!!!

Gone downhill

This is still generally a very good hotel. Convenient for Les Thermes and good amenities. However, they have gotten in the habit of serving rotten fruit at breakfast and with desserts, which is not acceptable for such an expensive hotel. I complained about rotten pineapple and grapes, then the next day it was rotten grapefruit and mandarins. The internet was also very slow and seemed to have problems. This hotel needs to sort out these problems.
