It is a great location close to the local bus terminus stop at Pile for buses to ferry and coach terminals and to all western districts, and for starting a walk of the citt walls before the crowds arrive.

Eddie was amazing and very friendly! His customer service was excellent! I felt safe as a solo female traveler. There was a locked gate before entering the property with security cameras. Location couldn’t be more conveniently located!! Only complaint is that there was no AC (which Expedia stated there would be) this wouldn’t have been a problem opening the windows other than it was very loud outside! No ocean view from the room I was in.

We were so impressed by Eddie’s Sea View Rooms. We stayed in an ocean view room and WOW the view was stunning. Additionally, the hotel is perfectly positioned steps from the Pile Gate (entrance to old town) and the sea.

Eddie was very accommodating when I arrived earlier than expected. He gave me a quick run down and checked in with me to see if I am doing okay a couple days later which I thought was nice. The room was wonderful and clean and had a great view. I stayed on the second floor and it was a little annoying to hear the people above on the 3rd floor stomping around their room. Other than that it was a great stay.

Eddie is the kind of host that makes a trip memorable. From the moment I arrived, he was welcoming and full of useful info about the city—he even treated me to a shot of rakija! While I was mostly in the room just to sleep, the overall experience was great, and I’ll definitely be back next time I visit. Viva Croatia, Eddie! (but tequila is still better).

Eddie’s place is really a gem great location, price just right and Edi exceptional Host , my wife got an eye infection and Edi got on the phone and less then 5 minutes found me an ophthalmologist set up and appointment and before I new my wife was checked ! He really goes out of he’s way to help !!!! Thank you Edi you’re awesome !! Oh the place is really nice clean and excellent view

Wonderful location just a few steps from Pile gate. Able to check in early and store my bags there on check out day. The sea view is amazing and proximity to good bars, bakeries and restaurants. Property was fine ocean view room was beautiful and Eddie was a good host. My only complaint would be not with the accommadations but with the area Dubrovnik is beautiful until 10:00 AM, then the buses pull in and you can hardly get on the sidewalks. Problem is my own, I just can't be in these kind of crowds. Would never go back.

This is a lovely property just steps from the Old Town wall. The room is totally renovated and very charming. There was a hair dryer, quality shampoo and conditioner and a kettle with coffee and tea. It had a safe and fridge. I left the window open at night and it was pretty quiet. Be aware though that the late check in charge (after 8 pm) is 30€.

We loved Eddie, warm welcome, super friendly and personable. Helpful with where to go and what to avoid in the city. Airport shuttle was perfect, waiting for us at arrivals with a sign and dropped us right outside of the guest house. Very centrally located, so when you stay in the summer you can outfit change or shower quit because it’s bananas hot and sweaty! Might even get a welcome drink with Eddie if you’re lucky :)

We enjoyed our stay at Eddie's Sea View Rooms. We had two rooms and really liked the room with the kitchenette, it was helpful and there was also a clothes line which we used since it was so hot. Eddie had great recommendations for areas to avoid as well as places to eat that accommodated all budgets. Any time we saw him, he made sure we were doing well and answered our questions.

Great location with a great host. Our visit enjoyment was only reduced by poor performance of ground staff (Lufthansa?) in Munich having 5 hours to switch our luggage (and not doing so) then the ground staff in Dubrovnik not being able to identify and deliver all our bags the next night. We had to Uber to the airport and find our one missing bag on our own. We knew where they were thanks to Apple trackers but ground staff evidently couldn’t read the giant tags that provided all the information. We had one day to enjoy Eddie's place and Dubrovnik but airlines made it an unenjoyable visit.

Eddi is a GEM of a human! Not only is his hotel lovely, clean, and in a great location, he made our stay so comfortable and easy. He started by giving us a map of the city and showing us where the best restaurants are and at what times we should start our tours (i.e city walls and fortress). I could tell how much care Eddi puts into giving his guests a wonderful stay and it is so so appreciated to feel at ease when traveling. This was such an amazing/beautiful place to stay. Our view was absolutely stunning and we felt very fortunate to be able to experience it and stay in such a perfect spot. We were only a couple minute walk to old town and the beach areas. Edi was very helpful and gave us great tips for eating and exploring the area. This made our experience very comfortable prepared for the area. We have to say the crepe recommendation (dolce vita) and dinner recommendation (kamenice) were our favourite meals of our trip thus far. If you are a light sleeper do not go here. We went from neighboring rooms talking and moving around starting at 6am (walls paper thin) to neighboring rooms moving around talking until 2am. First things: this isn't a 5 star hotel, it's a guesthouse, so set your expectations accordingly.... Laundry service every 2nd day, no elevator and no breakfast room. But WHAT an exceptional guesthouse... the room I had was clean, with adequate space and a renovated bathroom. The owner lives in on the 3rd floor with about 9 rooms across 2 floors rented of which some have jaw dropping cinematic views of the west harbour and Fort Lawrence (or Kings Landing jetty/red dungeon for Game of Thrones fans). Eddie himself is a friendly larger than life character with unbelievable enthusiasm for his guests to get the best out of Dubrovnik. And on that you should know that besides the bay being 90 seconds walk away you are at the bus terminus for Pile Gate so bars and restaurants are on the doorstep and the Old Town in 3 minutes walk, as are buses North to Gruz or the Lapad peninsula. Basically the same as the Hilton but a fraction of the price. There are some really petulant comments on GMaps so I offer an opinion: the house has a courtyard entry and a metal locked door leading to an alley for the harbour....loiterers, drunks, aggressives and jerks get short treatment from Eddie, everyone else is welcome. Do try this place, it's super.

Eddie came across nice on surface. Seemed lazy, unorganized on detail for departure, return of keys. Suggestion: set up drop box. Not receptive when we knocked on door. Cleaning woman reported we had AC on & not in room!!! Had to come in room to take picture of TV for insurance, that was very ODD. Room extremely small as stated, had to climb over person if 2 in bed. Blanket on bed needed to be washed-smelled bad. 3 sets of circular stairs to get to room. 2 sets had handrail, 3rd did not. Very unsafe with luggage. Towels thin and room needed some maintenance. Good walking distance to old town and restaurants. Overall: would not recommend.

I was traveling with friends. Dubrovnik was the last part of our amazing trip to Croatia. My friends paid the same amount as I and received a very nice sea view room. I was single and was given a room with a street view. I was on the top floor and had no internet connection as the router's range did not reach to that far. Eddie, while charming, was quite obnoxious during check in which made me quite uncomfortable during my stay there. His \"joking\" went a bit too far and left me with unease. While the location was premier, I don't think I would stay here in the future as a single female.

The best thing about this place was Edi himself. Really helpful and easy to talk to. He gives a great 15 minute guide to Dubrovnik when you arrive. Make sure you go to his restaurant recommendations, they are fantastic. Would stay again.

we arrived via air and had eddie help with transport so he knew we were to arrive at 830AM, where he told the taxi guy to tell us to wait at a café until he woke up around 10am as he stays up until 3am every night. So we are supposed to sit by the bus drop off with hundreds of people with our luggage for 2 hours to wait for him to be ready for us to simply drop our bags - not check in, just leave bags so we can start our holiday. There are ways around this called key boxes and codes that can be simple for you guests to use. Or if you don't want to wake up - get staff, you have dozens of guests a night. Once we met him later in the day he yelled at us for a while demanding an apology. He certainly isn't wanting to be put out around timing, so if you want to use your limited time on your holiday the way you want - perhaps find a host that is accommodating to the guest. We noticed several other folks 'waiting on eddie' as well. Bit sad to waste holiday time.

Eddie's is a great location. Literally three minute walk and we are in the old town. The view from a sea facing room is priceless!

This was a great place to stay right near the old town. Eddie was a fabulous host! Even though we arrived late, he was there to meet us and gave us extremely helpful information. Superb location literally a stones throw from Pile gate. It is not, as stated in one review, above a launderette, the area that you walk in to before descending some steps into the house for real, is where the laundry is done for the rooms.

He’s really welcoming. Everything in the room worked just fine decent WiFi,air conditioning,TV and the view was amazing(make sure you get the sea view room). And the location couldn’t have been more perfect.literally in the heart of everything. Keep in mind if you’re going to book a tour with a pick up it can be challenging because the pick up location will be at pile gate which is right up the street but it’s the main area for any sort of pick ups and drop offs in old town so there will be lots of people trying to organize tours. But I really enjoyed my stay!

Check in was unique, we arrived at 2:15 and Eddie was not happy that we were not there at exactly 2, even called the booking company. Our understanding was to be back after 2 not exactly at 2. Many remarks were made we did not appreciate such as Time is money and repeatedly do you understand. The room however was clean and had a good bay view. Rooms are small but very clean and cosy. The walls can be a bit thin so you can hear the odd noisy neighbour but otherwise no problems.

Can't beat the view or location
Got a sea view room and the view was unbelievable. The room was on the smaller side, but very clean and functional. Edi was waiting for us when we arrived and he immediately sits down with you to go over the room, along with reviewing a map on things to do, see, and eat. Went to 2 out of 3 of his food recommends (Pancakes and Tony's Spaghetti) and both were excellent. You're just steps from the castle wall. Edi was great - would stay there again.
