Room, staff, service and grounds were lovely. The only thing missing was a nice beach and dining options nearby. Parking availability was also difficult if returning late in evening. We really enjoyed our stay at Kresten Palace and would return again.

The staff in the hotel was nice, however we had so many issues at the property. Air conditioner in our room didn’t seemed to work, we had very poor nights as it was hot in our room. When we showered, the whole restroom flooded. We called three times and they did send a maintenance person but the issue was never fixed. We finished our showers stepping into a pool of water each time. ( and bring your own shampoo, they dont provide shampoo or conditioner, buy they have a mini market to buy). Overall nice people and customer service from employees. Property unfortunately needs some work.

The bus stops right outside the hotel were useful for getting to and from Rodos cheaply rather than relying on taxis. Also theres a taxi rank right over the road should you need it. Theres also supermarkets/ tavernas/ pharmacies in a walkable distance away should you need then.
Staff were really helpful and welcoming, room was clean but could have done with a few more toiletries in the bathroom. The fridge in the room was a godsend for storing water!

Great location just not very clean

The location was very good, beautiful sea view from room. Great pool and pool area to relax. The room was spacious and comfortable however it was not clean. The room had not been cleaned properly with rubbish still in room from previous guests and cigarrete butts left on the patio in ash tray and stuck in the wall between bricks. We asked reception for room to be cleaned and butts removed from patio. The room was cleaned but the cigarette ends remained for the duration of our stay.

Such a shame that hotel lets itself down with reception and dining staff who are cold and unhelpful, rude too.
Free WiFi in the hotel but charged per device if you want it in your room. You have to pay for the safe too.
Breakfast was nice. Great entertainment crew and enjoyed the pool vibe.
Few nice restaurants nearby on foot otherwise getting a taxi or buses into town is tricky - buses are full and taxis don’t stop so be prepared to wait a while.
Won’t be visiting again and wouldn’t recommend this hotel sadly.

Beautiful property. Lovely swimming pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Quick check-in and check-out. Delicious breakfast and dinner buffet. Lunch by the pool was delicious too. Good cocktails at reception bar and pool bar. Bus stop out front of hotel made it easy to go to Rhodes Town inexpensively and quickly. I would gladly stay here again.

We have chosen probably the best room on offer, swim-up with access to a private swimming pool and room was all right and comfortable, however swimming pool was freezing, they don’t heat up the water. Breakfast was included, but it was very mean, food of average quality, awful coffee and oversweeted juices from a concentrate. Instead of eggs/ommelette station they had a “mountains” of prepared omelette which is more like 3 stars hotel and they advert them as 4 stars. Dinner - buffet style with average and oily food, less tasteful than you would expect at 4 stars hotel. At the checkout I was offered to pay part of someone l’s else bill which was charged to the room 3 days before I checked in, disgraceful and unforgivable, I did not receive even sorry.

This property is a great value. The breakfast was good and the pool was spotless. It was an easy walk to the beach. The only downside is lack of Wi-Fi available in the rooms, and even if you paid for the Wi-Fi, it does not work for iPhone or iPad products. Otherwise, WiFi can be reached in the lobby and on the grounds.

We lovef the hotel. Our room was great with a wonderful view. Very spacious. Rania at the reception was really helpful. The bar was lively in the evening and the pool was great during the day. We rented a car in the hotel and conveniently went around the island. Great location, great room and great staff!

Good points were staff were very helpful and pleasant.The hotel was spotlessly clean. There was constant hot water. As we were there only for bed and breakfast I can only comment on that but breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of food. The pool restaurant was satisfactory and again the staff were very pleasant.
Bad points. There was no wifi except in the lounge, bar and reception There was no mobile signal in our room which was a big problem . The pool though beautiful to look at was very slippy. The bath in our room was dangerously slippy [ having a shower I nearly knocked myself out]. Our room was miles away from the restaurant and involved two lifts and several steep climbs and some very dark long corridors. There was a very steep walk down to the pool which was very difficult for me as I suffer badly from arthritis. As I live by the sea I chose a room with a ''garden view''. The'' garden'' consisted of some parched weeds and two bushes immediately outside our patio[we were on the ground floor of a large extension]. The whole hotel had a dated aura . It may well have been a 5 star in the 1980s but I reckon 3.5 is more its level now.

The Kresten Royal reception staff could not have been any more unwelcoming. She genuinely seemed like she would rather be doing anything else other than checking in guests. Again we are asked for a 'hotel voucher'!? Passport handed over for reference and I notice they're being filed away. No chance! I explain that I will not be parting with my passport. This did not help improve the mood of the receptionist.

We were literally situated in the basement. Huge, dark echoing corridors that were quite frankly surreal. Also, be careful of the lift doors as they have a tendency to close on you leaving you with bruised arms. Think travel lodge / hostel. Plenty of pine colored basic furniture and twin beds pushed together. The bathroom was no better, moldy sink and 'spa' bath. We chose not to use the spa bath. There was however a large patio, the downside being that it also home to ants the size of a small car.

The hotel is just plain weird. It's like an unfinished project. Internally it's huge, marble everywhere but on the whole empty. It's actually a bit spooky in a way, especially the floor we were on (0). It seems that they have scrimped on the little things that make a hotel, a hotel. Bland and boring best summarize it. This assumed scrimping makes even more sense when you see the hotel maids using supermarket trolleys to move their cleaning equipment around complete with the money slot! A real touch of class that until our stay we had never witnessed anywhere before!!

The hotel could not honour the booking because it had suffered an extensive electrical failure. I was transferred by arrangement to the hotel next door, claimed to be of equivalent standard. However, there was an overwhelming sewage smell in the area, thanks to a main drainage failure. The replacment hotel, supposedly four-star, was not great, with tired room decor and a mediocre breakfast. Obviously the Kresten Place were trying their best to cope, but had limited options.

Amazing hotel vs. Horrible buffet

Hotel absolutely 5 stars, big problem with high speed internet which was only in lobby from time to time and slow. Food experience totally horrible. We struggle to pick some food which we were able to eat.

Pretty good hotel, very friendly staff

The rooms may be in need of some revamp, however this is a pretty good hotel. I stayed here with the family (2 adults and a 2 year old), on a B&B basis, even though we ended up eating lunch onsite almost every day. The room was big and clean!!
The whole experience was very nice. The breakfast was really rich in options, and the quality fantastic. The pool lunch was also very nice.
The pool is huge! Split in two sides. The one side ranges from 10cm to 50cm depth, just great for young children. The other side is good for adults.
The beach was lovely and was typical of beaches on the island, no white sand. There was a charge for loungers but you can take mats and towels. Great area for snorkelling with plenty of fish.
Would have been even better if there was a wifi service in the rooms. The only wifi available was in/around the hotel lobby. Sometimes it worked from the room balcony. However, at peak times, it was very slow. Best times to use it was very early in the morning, or during the mid-morning hours.

Unpretentious luxury

Loved our stay. Hotel provides a unique view over rhodes city. Clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty, loved variety and local delicacies. Dont miss greek night on monday, very good fun, and unlike usual low buffet expectations, very tasty variety and great salads.
Visit Kallithea springs just 2m away, blue flag beach, great place for evening coctail.
Was a very fair trade, Not having to pay for some irrelevant extras and enjoying the true sense of luxury holiday.

While the Kresten palace looks very nice superficially the rooms were very basic, nothing I would expect from a four star hotel. The bathroom was cramped and the facilities were not up the standard. When we arrived they appeared to have lost our booking. We were then told we were \"upgraded\" to a sea view. This consisted of a little bit of sea and quite a lot of another building. The reception staff were unhelpful and didn't appear to be bothered. The food was so so but the dining room wasn't staffed adequately so tables weren't cleared very quickly and cups ran out.

However the pool and bar staff were very friendly and helpful and I was a pleasure to sit in the bar in the evening. The pool was very nice and the food at the pool bar was nice.

I do not believe this hotel should be rated as a four star due to the room quality.

10 day package tour to Rhodes is ideal. transfer is smooth as a lot of airport staff spoke English. Kresten Palace, in Kalathea is a 4* hotel, The sister hotel 5 star apartment at the Kresten Royal is luxuries with excellent facilities.The staff are helpful and pleasant. Waitress were super efficient,quick and very pleasant.
The rooms were exactly as described. Can see the sea from balcony! The main pool was also a stone throw away but in no way disturbed us.
The food was fantastic- for non vegetarians .For Vegetarians it was monotonous but then the local restaurants provided some variations Greek style. The breakfast was fantastic and varied.
The evening entertainment was OK; kids seemed to love it. The water park, and the town Rodes are close, infect the local bus stopped just outside the Hotel. We found the charges confusing but always thought that the bus drivers were not to be messed about. Keep lots of change for traveling.
We tried water sports in Falaraki. Safety was good.

We eventually found the beach which was pleasant and if you are a good confident swimmer you could snorkel. The sea was lovely.August is the hottest month in Rhodes.

Found Rhodes as expensive as England.
Look out for the nice smiley receptionist helpfu

It has great facilities (except the gym, where equipment is not in working order and where there is little offered but then the heat is such that there is no great demand either.

Staff are great, so good and hospitable.

Great pool and access to beach. Fabulous.

Location Infromation is Incorrect

There is nothing wrong with the hotel if you are looking for a resort style hotel. We were looking for a hotel close to the port of Rhodes and Old Town. The map and description on Hotels.com lead us to believe that this hotel met our needs. Actually the hotel is 4-5 km from the city of Rhodes.

We were using Rhodes to travel to other nearby islands not as a destination. If you want accurate location information go to the hotel's web site.

Our hotel was easy to locate, as it was in Kalithea & easily located with a map provided by our car rental business. The hotel staff was very nice, helpful & pleasant. Everyone knew some level of English. The morning breakfasts that were part of the stay (apparently in every Greek hotel) was delicious & was provided buffet style with fresh fruits, juices, many egg dishes provided in 5-6 different styles. A lot of breads & cheeses were available & the dining room where this was provided offered beautiful views. The rooms were private & the bathrooms large; comfortable beds & always a large balcony. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Belle hôtel mais qui mérite un rafraîchissement car décor et matériaux un peu vieillot. Clim ancienne et placée de manière non optimale. Propreté de la piscine à revoir (du fait que beaucoup de vacanciers ne se douchent pas avant de rentrer dans la piscine, présence de sable, etc.)
Par contre, le personnel a été parfait de la femme de ménage, à la réception en passant par le personnel du restaurant. L’équipe d’animateurs été exceptionnel ! Un grand merci à eux pour avoir rendu ce séjour encore plus agréable.

Kjekt hotell med bra fasiliteter

Fint hotell med kjekt familierom. God plass, stor terrasse og tilgang til «eget» basseng. Dessverre ingen Wifi-dekning på rommet eller på terrassen.

Frokost og middag inkludert i overnattingen. Bra utvalg på frokost, selv om rundstykkene med fordel kunne vært ferskere. Kunne gjerne hatt pannekaker som er ganske vanlig på slike buffeer.
Bra middagstilbud. Litt lite variasjon på maten, spesielt de dagene det var temadager. Kunne med fordel hatt flere temafester disse dagene.

Helt OK snack-bar med variert meny. Pasta og fries var spesielt gode. Pizzaene litt triste.
Drikke kan med fordel inkluderes i måltidene og ikke måtte bestilles separat utenom.
Mat og restauranter et stykke bak tilsvarende hoteller i f.eks Tyrkia.

Treningssenter/rom kunne hatt bedre ventilering/temperatur og en del mer utstyr.

Mye aktiviteter for store og små i regi av aktivisørene. Enkelte poenger/uttalelser på Comedy Night som i Skandinavia plasseres over streken for hva som omtales som rasistisk. Det var litt spesielt.

Fantastiskt!

Helt underbart hotell. Oftast brukar bilderna vara gamla eller tillfixade, men inte i detta fallet. Istället var verkligheten bättre än bilderna. Vi fick fantastisk hjälp från all personal. Poolområdet var mysigt. Restaurangerna bra och miljön underbar. Det var också nära till allt med både buss och bil.

Yövyimme tässä hotellissa 7 yötä. Saavuimme huoneeseen yöllä jossa ilmastointi ei toiminut ja vessa haisi todella pahalle. Ilmoitimme tästä vastaanottoon ja he eivät tehneet mitään. Kolmantena päivänä vastaanoton henkilökunta pyysi siivoojaa tulemaan ja tekemään jotain= mitään ei tehty. Vastaanoton henkilökunta oli todella törkeä. Jos koet ongelmia he eivät auta.
Aamupalalla kaikki oli aina loppu ja astioita joutui pyytämään henkilökunnalta. Rantapyyhkeitä sai vain maksua vastaan ja raha palautetaan loman lopussa, tässäkin tuli ongelmia. Hotelli on alueella jossa ei ole mitään lähellä. En suosittele kenellekkään ellet ole reppureissaaja. Ei todellakaan 4 tähden hotelli!

Çoğu şey çok iyiydi. Sadece kötü olan sabah erken saatte üst kattan sandalye sürüme sesleri ile uyanmamızdı. Otelin plajı var ve tertemiz,havuz ve restoran iyiydi. Açık büfe genelde ingiliz turistlere hitap eden fasulye,bacon tarzı ağırlıklı idi.

La chambre était très agréable et très propre face à la mer. Quant au petit-déjeuner : varié, copieux avec de très bons produits. Had an alright room but had an ant problem over our week, but it wasnt too bad and im sure its not the same everywhere, Really nice views, Good breakfast, Super nice main building, nice bar etc. Great transportation with taxi and bus stop within 50M, the beach is the only thing we were dissapointed with. 4/5 would come back

We stayed at this hotel in April. I was not expecting the room to be so COLD. There were no blankets in the room. The first night, I was so tired from the journey, I didn't want to go all the way to the front desk to request a blanket and I couldn't figure out how to call the front desk from the phone in the room. I slept with my jacket on and a towel over me, shivering the whole time. The next day I asked at the front desk for a blanket and they said they would leave one in the room. Well, they left a tiny, sad-looking blanket that looked like it was maybe 40 years old and barely covered one person, let alone two. Internet is available for free in the lobby but you have to pay if you want to use it in your room. I like that there is a tiny gym area. The pools were beautiful, but it was too cold to really enjoy them. Beautiful little beach area you can walk down to from the hotel. My daughter liked the kids' club. Overall though, not my preferred type of hotel at all, and I wasn't super impressed with the service (mostly the blanket issue, and I overheard a few other people also saying that the rooms were cold and asking staff for blankets). The restaurant was overpriced and there did not seem to be any consistent pricing system for kids. One night I was charged a full adult price for my kindergartener and another night she ate for free. Make it make sense.

Alles in allem 4sterne

Die Anlage ist weitläufig und meist ist das internet verfügbar. In unserem Zimmer mit poolzugang war die Verbindung jedoch sehr schlecht und hat nicht mal für email gereicht. Die Liegestühle sind extrem hart. Nach Anfrage haben wir dann ein Polster bekommen. Die Polster der Liegestühle am Hauptpool sind sehr dünn und damit auch sehr unbequem. Die Behandlungen im Spa sind unprofessionell. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ok aber auch nicht überwältigend. Die Gartenanlage braucht mehr Pflege. Die Rezeption hat ebenfalls nicht überzeugt. Für alle Fragen (Mietwagen, Spa) konnte nicht weitergeholfen werden und wir wurden einfach weitergeschickt. Alles in allem sind es zwar 4 Sterne, jedoch in manchen sachen einfach auch eher ein 3Sterne Hotel.

Great big pool area.
Friendly staff, especially Maria from the Spa and Eleni from the reception are very warm and welcoming persons.
Breakfast is very good plenty where to choose.
Aircon including the price is also like it should be.

Un établissement qui ne vaut pas 4 étoiles.
Il faut faire attention quand on demande une chambre \"vue sur la mer\" car l'établissement joue sur les mots, ce n'est pas vue ms côté mer donc si vous avez un immeuble, arbre devant votre fenêtre et que c'est le coté mer vous ne voyez rien et vous n'êtes pas remboursé sur le supplément que vous avez payé.
Pour l'annulation du Spa, il faut batailler pour se faire rembourser même si on est dans ses droits de rétractation soit 24h.
La wi-fi est payante 1€ par jour pour un 4 étoiles...
L'hotel fait bas de game dommage, la façade laisse à désirer (effet motel que palace).
La réception pas trop accueillant en cas de problèmes mais le personnel de ménage ou du restaurant sauve l'honneur.

Sevizio al di sotto di un 4 stelle, servizio colazione pessimo, tavoli sempre sporchi e riutilizzo delle posate non utilizzate dai precedenti clienti per apparecchiare, quando lo facevano. Orario cena limitato fino alle 21. Cena greca tipica pessima, dopo le 20 già tutto servito freddo, non organizzato nonostante fosse prenotato a parte, tanto che poi siamo andati a cena fuori in altro locale. Servizio spiaggia pessimo e richiedono pagamento lettini extra. Francamente non lo consiglio è non ci torneremo.

Struttura molto belle, con ampi posteggi disponibili, piscina tenuta molto bene e attrezzata con tanti ombrelloni e lettini gratuiti, un po distante la spiaggia privata, ma ne vale la pena.

Viihtyisä hotelli ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Allasbaarin ruoka oli myös hyvää.
Rantaan oli lyhyt kävelymatka. Tosin ranta oli aika pieni ja kivikkoinen mutta laiturilta pääsi helposti uimaan ja mitä mainioin paikka snorklaukseen maaston ansiosta. Voin lämpimästi suositella tätä hotellia.

Tres bel hôtel avec beaucoup de palmiers et de belles fleurs, qui respectent le paysage naturel de l’ile. Le personnel est vraiment extraordinaire: que ce soit pour réparer rapidement des petites choses, donner des conseils ou aller acheter ce dont on a besoin ou visiter des monuments. La nourriture est très bonne et variée et le service impeccable et chaleureux. Les animateurs avec les enfants sont super aussi. On a passé des vacances de rêve et on recommande cet hôtel autant aux familles qu’au couple.

Am Kresten-Hotel ist eigentlich nichts wirklich schlecht. Es sticht aber auch rein gar nichts aus der Masse heraus. Das Hotel ist schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist zweckmäßig und funktionstüchtig aber sehr alt. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis an der Hotel- und Poolbar ist allerdings unterirdisch. Die Qualität der Drinks vollkommen inakzeptabel. Die Verpflegung entspricht dem üblichen All-In-Standard. Masse ist hier Trumpf. Wir hatten jedoch nur die Übernachtung mit Frühstück gebucht.

Nel complesso molto buoni sia la struttura sia i servizi. Disponibile e gentile il personale.Comodo e vicino alla città di Rodi, facilmente raggiungibile anche la sera con i mezzi pubblici. Un po' carente l'animazione, un po' eccessivo il costo di una singola cena soprattutto per i bambini.

Nice Hotel close to the city of Rhodes

While the rooms are in good conditions, there are some areas that would need some rework like the lifts for example. The Pool area is very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet is only of average quality. Most needed would be a better coffee selection and some fresh orange juices. Overall an average Hotel options to improve for a resonable Price.
