This hotel is underrated! It well deserves 5 stars for absolutely everything!

The front desk stuff is very polite! They helped us with early check-in and any help we needed.
The room was spotless with robs, slippers, water, bar, liquor, chocolate etc
The room was very tastefully decorated and was functional.

The location was perfect for uber and lots of tours meeting spots which were within 5-15 min walking distance.

For very early tours, we're first in the breakfast area sharp at 7am when they open and the stuff was READY with hot breakfast, hot coffee,2 types of eggs, cooked veggies, bacon for those who eat it, always freshly cut different fruit, desserts, juices etc
One morning we had a delicious hot Portuguese nata dessert ;)

The only thing is the bathtub is a bit higher than usual, but I'm sure the stuff can accommodate guests with this issue, just let them know ahead to book the right room for you. For us it was totally fine and we're not athletes :))

I highly recommend this hotel! I like to try new places, but will definitely book this hotel next time in Lisbon without hesitation!!!

The bed could be more comfortable, it sits relatively low, and the mattress didn't agree with my back.

Other than that, the place is clean, staff is very willing to please and friendly, a good breakfast and a well stocked bar with some good Portuguese wines.

The bathroom and shower are spacious, and the room is well appointed and has a refrigerator.

And very importantly, the Air Con works very well and you can control the comfort level.

I would give this review a full 5 if the bed was a little more comfortable.

A two-night stay in this hotel was really great. It was in the centre of Maia where getting metro to Porto (Trindade) was very easy. Room was in excellent conditions, very clean. Staff provided us with all the information needed and I definitely recommended this hotel to other people as it is relatively cheap and with great location.

We were flying out of Porto very early. We needed a good hotel near the airport and this was an excellent choice. The proximity of good local transport links also meant we were able to ditch the hire car a day early! Only downside was a noisy air conditioning unit.

Great clean and modern hotel!

Very clean, modern and comfortable room. We even got some complimentary wine upon our arrival. The only negative thing is the parking garage which is almost impossible for a vehicle to get to. It's a very steep entrance with limited space. Breakfast was great with delicious pastries, breads, fruits and warm dishes! It's located in a very nice business area, but like 15 minutes drive from the city.

I was in a contest all day and did not return to the hotel until all the restaurants on the street and the hotel restaurant/bar was closed. They made us sandwiches and got us some drinks. I just thought that was so extraordinary. All along the staff was helpful, calling our next hotel to directions.

Clean hotel, pleasant small lobby. Staff very pleasant. First room we were given had an unpleasant pet odor. Then we were accommodated by giving us a room on the same floor. The AC proceeded to go out for one night, (we reported it early evening, but were told the ac could not be repaired until the next day) We had to leave the window open, and there was a lot of traffic and street noise. AC was repaired the next day. Breakfast was a high point, nice selection of items, and very pleasant dining room staff.

Convenient location to airport and metro. Very safe. Good value.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Porto.
although it is in the suburbs, it's a 5 minute walk to the Metro that takes you anywhere in the city.

An ideal hotel for the budget vacationer in Porto.

I primarily look for a room that I can sleep comfortably in, because I don't spend much time in the room hile on vacation. This is an ideal business hotel, and for those that like no-frills vacation hotels. At the price I was quoted it served perfectly well even though I was on vacation. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room, and the A/C was pretty good by Europe's standards. One of the best things about this hotel, from the perspective of a vacation travel in Porto, is the proximity of the hotel to both the airport and to rail service into the heart of historic Porto. A brief 2 minute walk gets you to the metro real stop that takes you to the Aliados or Trindade metro stop in historic Porto. From there you can pick up tour buses or street cars that can take you around the city.

One week experience at HCP

We had a stay of 6 nights and the hotel was ideally situated for our needs. The Metro nearby was a bonus. The only negative comment is that the beds were not of the highest standard. The double room turned out to be a twin room although the staff did try to make a difference by adding a pillow top to the mattress. Miguel checked us and was very informative and pleasant as were the rest of the reception staff friendly. The hotel laundry prices were very high forcing us to use outside launderers. The breakfast was always adequate.

Think twice before parking in the underground garage with gradient of probably 40 degrees. Sharp turn and exceedingly narrow. My car stalled twice as it cannot handled the steep gradient and was stuck in very very narrow sharp turn. Had to gun the car up in first gear is excellent sharp and narrow driveway.

Room- big and clean. The TV is very small (22'), and the beds are hard.
Minibar is locked unless you buy from the hotel.
Internet connection is awful, keep disconnecting.
Breakfast was very good.
Staff is very freindly and helpfull.
For some reason there was a crib left in my room that took some space, I didn't mind that but was not supposed to be there.

Located in Maas, one of three main regions of Porto, it is a bit out of the way for the normal tourist visit to Porto. However it is an easy drive or train ride into town. The concierge was simply outstanding in terms of the service he provided to us. He made us feel very welcome, provided us with terrific advice regarding attractions and tours, even arranging a private tour of the Douro valley for us. The only issue we experienced was with the room A/c, although despite the staff's best efforts to resolve the problem the room was quite warm and stuffy (opening the window was not a viable option due to the noise from the roadway below). Other than that would recommend for a short stay.

It was everything we had hoped for. We are heavy sleepers but lighter sleepers should perhaps avoid if possible a view over the street not because of a very volume of traffic but the streets are a modern version of cobbled and while effective as traffic calmers do generate a degree of road noise.

A pleasant surprise near the Porto airport. It was easy to take the Metro into town for the afternoon. The staff were all so helpful. The restaurant was an added benefit, so convenient. There is even a neighborhood rooster, so no need for a wakeup call. Would definitely stay there again.

Close to the Airport--

We had been on a Viking River Cruise and, since there was only one flight a day from Porto to Madrid at 8:30 am, we decided to stay two extra nights near the Airport. Two in our party were feeling under the weather and decided to remain in their room. The other two hopped a taxi back to the center of town for 15 euros and did the hop-on bus tour (which they loved). In all, it was a good location for our needs. We had picked the Breakfast Package and it was worth it !. The neighborhood is Financial but we found inexpensive eateries just down the street with great food choices.

a true gem - OUTSTANDING for the price

We booked this hotel so we'd be closer to the airport in the morning, and we're glad we did. The staff was outstanding - they were very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The hotel was newly updated and renovated and it showed. They were in a good location with many restaurants, cafes, and shopping stores surrounding it. The rooms were very comfortable, nice hard wood floors, spacious bathroom and shower, and comfortable beds. Of the three hotels we stayed in on our trip to portugal, this was by far the cheapest, and by far the best.

La estancia ha tenido luces y sombras. El primer día no funcionaba el agua caliente, algo que genera malestar al llegar tras un viaje largo. Aun así, queremos destacar el excelente trato del personal del comedor, siempre atentos, amables y con una simpatía que se agradece muchísimo.

En cuanto al parking, conviene aclarar que no es lo que parece: lo publicitan como si el hotel dispusiera de aparcamiento propio, pero solo hay 4 plazas reservadas en la calle, justo enfrente. Si llegas el quinto, te quedas sin sitio y toca buscar por la zona, lo cual no siempre es fácil.

Un lugar con buen servicio humano, pero con detalles que deberían mejorar para estar a la altura de lo que prometen.
