These majestic premises lie on the banks of the lake in the famous resort of Bagnoles de l'Orne (France) on the fringes of the Andaines Forest, where guests will receive a warm welcome and find a relaxed atmosphere. This is essentially a spa complex offering visitors a beauty and fitness break, with saunas, hot tubs and a host of other amenities to achieve those ends.

There is even an indoor heated swimming pool that, just like the other on-site facilities, is free of charge to those staying at the hotel. The well-lit terrace restaurant overlooking the lake offers delicious and ever-changing seasonal menus and after their meal, guests can enjoy a flutter at the casino adjoining the establishment.

Rooms have beach views - opt for a high floor, not a low floor with a large balcony.
Nearby food options outside the hotel after 9pm are almost non-existent. It’s not a great beach. Location not recommended and definitely not unless you have a vehicle.

Seafront hotel in a lovely small town. Receptionist very smiley & helpful.
Room was clean & tidy, no mini-bar, water available from the hallway water dispenser.
Complimentary parking, just need to remember to get your ticket validated at reception
Unfortunately cannot comment on the food or other facilities as did not use them

Lovely beach front setting

We stayed for 3 nights in August. We had booked a pine view room but when we got to our room we actually had a partial sea view as we were on the end room, on the corner of the building so this was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is in a lovely location right across the road from the beach. Staff on the front desk and in the casino and bar were friendly and helpful. Room was ok, lacking a few little touches like bedside tables on both sides and our bins were not emptied every day. The bathroom was a good size with bath and various shower heads and the toilet was separate.
Parking is in a secure underground car park which is free for guests. We liked knowing our car was safe.
The Casino is just slot machines, no live tables with croupiers. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, at €14 per person we thought it was pricey. We also didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner as the menu was limited and my partner has a severe nut allergy and there were nuts being offered with drinks in the bar and lots on the menu.
The thing that disappointed us the most with this hotel is that the use of the swimming pool is not free for hotel guests, it cost €20 per person for 2 hours. Totally ridiculous and unnecessary. I appreciate it is part of the spa but I've never stayed in a hotel where paying guests are expected to pay further to use the facilities, whether in the spa or not.
All in all it was a pleasant enough hotel for the price.

Beautiful! Definitely recommend

I made a last min reservation since my other hotel I had reserved was very sketchy. I'm so happy that I stayed here, beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the sea. Very pleasant staff with great selection of F&B. I'll gladly return!

Family holiday at the beach!

We had a lovely welcome from the staff and were given a sea view room on the second floor. The room was spacious and clean and perfect for our little family. My three year old was able to enjoy afternoon naps in his bed while we sat soaking up the sun with the patio door open enjoying the view! The location was perfect for exploring the beach and the little town. It is also right by the tourist information centre so we got lots of info about the area and events that were on during our stay! All in all a lovely time was had by all!

Chambre communiquante et donc on entend parler de l'autre côté !!! On aurait pu nous donner une autre chambre étant donné que l'hôtel n'était pas plein. Pour le reste, ras, tout est ok , personnel très bien. Casino à côté très bien. Spa très bien. Juste une mauvaise chose, à l'entrée du parking souterrain, en descendant au niveau de la porte, juste après il y a un creux fait que l'avant de la voiture touche parterre!!! Un panneau d'information \"attention\" serait le bienvenu.

Après une semaine passée dans une suite vue mer nous pouvons dire que nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
L'emplacement est très bien ; le calme dans l'hôtel est au rendez-vous. L'équipe dans son ensemble est au TOP ; la dame qui assure le service de l'entretien des chambres est absolument formidable et à nos petits soins.... L'équipe du restaurant est parfaite ; la réception très agréable. Bref une belle équipe pour que nos vacances se déroulent à la perfection.

Spa très agréable et chambre confortable vue mer. Petit bémol : le bruit assez fort de l’air conditionné est dérangeant la nuit. Petit déjeuner buffets copieux tout y est mais en ordre dispersé il vaut mieux en faire bien le tour avant de vouloir se servir 😉
Pour ce qui est du restaurant nous n’avons pas été satisfaits : viande trop cuite, pâtes froides et minuscules coques en déco autant ne pas en mettre 😝 service un peu trop empressé, accueil peu chaleureux sourires et échanges forcés

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cet hôtel. La chambre était propre, confortable, et bien équipée, offrant tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le personnel était accueillant et attentionné, ce qui a rendu notre expérience encore meilleure. Pour le prix, les prestations sont vraiment au rendez-vous, et nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Hôtel retenu pour son spa mais celui-ci ferme à 19h ! Autant vous dire que soit vous débauchez à 16h pour en profiter dans le cas contraire c’est mort ! Et il ouvre qu’à 10h donc peut-être très bien pour des touristes mais pas du tout adapté pour une clientèle affaire. Autre surprise, le plateau que vous prenez pour le petit déjeuner et que vous débarrassez sur le chariot comme dans un formule 1. Bref, il faut le vivre pour le croire !

Le restaurant a une belle terrasse qui donne sur le littoral et vous permet d’admirer le coucher de soleil.
La literie est bonne des capsules de café et des sachets de thé sont à disposition tous les jours dans la chambre.
La salle de bain avec baignoire est vieillissante et mériterait d’être remise aux goûts du jour.

Le séjour dans l’ensemble c’est bien passé.
Le manque de personnels imposent une limite dans le restaurant que ce soit le midi ou le dîner.
C’est un peu dommage pour les résidents de l’hôtel.
Remarque sur le prix d’accès au spa. 25€ par jour et par personne me semble excessif

La restauration du Béryl était nettement mieux auparavant. L’hôtel a été racheté par le Casino et ne s’appelle plus le Béryl mais le JOA ! Nous avons été déçu par la baisse comparé au vrai BÉRYL qui n’hexiste plus ! Il faudrait changer le nom pour ne plus tromper les clients !

Très bon séjour avec un personnel très agréable, a l'écoute des gens et un lieu sympathique. Juste un peu déçus par le spa (le prix est légèrement élevé par rapport à ce qui est proposé).
