Absolutely amazing stay. Didnt try out the spa but this was an amazing hotel. I believe it was a little slow so the staff upgraded me to a room that faced the lake. Breathtaking views. Anything in the mini fridge is free of charge and breakfast is included. All things that really matter when traveling in an expensive country. Would highly, highly recommend.

The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views of the lake & mountains, with the added bonus of an adjacent park along the shore. Hospitality is a standout feature of this property, with friendly & helpful staff and nice touches everywhere that show their pride in this facility and their attention to your enjoyment. Great breakfast. This hotel has Old World class in a serene setting. Brunnen is a cute village at a quieter end of the lake from touristy Lucerne.

The check in staffs was awesome. Loved the upgrade, loved the balcony lake & mountain view and my kids did too.
The coffee and fruits availability. (24 hours)
Dinner, the meals are delicious 😋 cost (you worry too much) more on the outside.

Lovely property in this hidden seaside town. No air conditioning nor screens on the windows (windows open = bugs in room). Food in restaurant and at breakfast was great. The bar allows smoking, which I have not seen in over a decade. The town is tiny but the views are lovely.

Stay here, you WONT regret it!

This was an absolutely amazing experience, a balcony with a view of Lake Lucerne.

The staff was very accommodating and Marcel went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, even helping to correct a train/rail station error I was about to make prior to arrival.

The breakfast was included in the price of the room and far exceeded any other previous lodging offerings I have ever had in Europe.

Spa facilities, luggage storage and many other included perks help to make this the only choice in Brunnen with a short trip to Stoos in reach.

Stay here, make memories and you will look forward to staying here again as soon as possible.

This was an incredibly beautiful and comfortable hotel! I loved my stay here. There are many restaurant options nearby, but I opted to eat on the patio because the view of the lake was so beautiful. It was easy to book a small room as a solo traveler. The private lakeside deck chairs were nice for lounging by/swimming in the lake, and the free standup paddle board rentals were a really nice perk. My main goal in staying in town was to hike on the Stoos ridge trail, which was accessible from the hotel by bus and the Stoos incline railway. The hike was incredibly beautiful and did not disappoint. The town is beautiful and has many nice walking trails throughout. I loved my stay here.

We stayed for a night to break our journey from Germany to Italy. For the price we paid we thought the hotel didn’t live up to expectations There were several conferences and the hotel was geared up for them rather than private guests. The decor is looking a little tired. I think the hotel is living in past glory.

My husband and I spent a week here for our anniversary. Brunnen might seem out of the way, but it is the perfect location. Close enough to sight see other locations but far enough away for peace and comfort. This property was incredible! The views were mesmerizing from every angle! The staff were so good to us and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! Everyone was so kind and helpful! Our room was excellent, the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning was exceptional and completed every day. The breakfast buffet was the perfect start to our day, and we ended every evening in the luxurious and immaculate spa. This was by far the best hotel experience we have ever had, and I can’t see it being beaten! I absolutely cannot wait to come back to this location one day!

clearly a posh hotel, we had a lovely view and enjoyed a meal out front. the service was excellent. will give 8/10 because no air con or extractor fan in bathroom and was just so hot and humid. also ironing room (not easy to find on 1st floor, need to take water with you) basically a pain in the butt vs having one brought to the room

Well located.
Unfortunately the beds are too hard but that is only my opinion.
Another unfortunate thing was no air conditioning and it was very hot and humid.
We had to leave our veranda doors open to try and keep cool but no fault of the hotel but there was noisy teenagers screaming and telling outside keeping my wife and I awake to about 1am.
My recommendation would be put a security guard on the lake side to try and control these noisy people.
Also would of loved to have air conditioning in our room.
In all great staff, perfect location, we had the best lake view we could ask for from our room.

At first a lovely quiet breathtaking hotel BUT then still lying awake at 1:30 in the morning, because of a party going on downstairs. The staff lies and drink on the job. A peaceful beautiful hotel which turns into a club at nighttime ! Staff feeling absolutely nothing for hotel guests, more important to drink with party guests ! Thank you for ending my birthday on such an extremely low point !

Check in very efficient. Restaurant good with very good friendly service. Bar nice except from a personal point of view as a non smoker I did not appreciate the heavy smoke in the room.
Rooms a little dated but very clean and again good service.
Spa facilities very good with amazing views.
All in all, would definitely return to the hotel

This was a beautiful location and we loved it. However, when we booked the trip, it showed free Wi-Fi. The Hotel went back & charged us internet access AFTER the trip was completed. I have had to dispute the charges and am not happy about them charging me after the fact. Check your bill closely.

We had a nice room with balcony overlooking the lake. It was very convenient to everything we needed and parking was right behind the hotel. There was a wedding on our first night so it was a bit noisy and bright from the street where part of the reception was, but it wasn't terrible.

This is a grand old hotel right on the waterfront in Brunnen (the main Brunnen boat dock is literally outside the front of the hotel). Despite the passage of time, where it matters, the hotel has done a great job. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have astounding views (if you have a \"mountain view\" room and all you see is the hills behind town, crane your neck a bit and you should see the Grosser and Kleiner Mythens). The restaurants are modern. The breakfast is outstanding, with little touches that are almost knowingly ironic, like prosecco with vegetable juices on offer. The WiFi was of high quality.

Their dining menu is absolutely modern and the service, just like at breakfast, is outstanding: proper and solicitous, not what it could so easily have been (stiff or snooty).

In short: a delightful place, well worth the cost (which must be judged by Swiss standards), meeting and exceeding expectations, and worth a return visit.

Wonderful view of lake and mountains

Sensational position facing up the Urnersee, that is the limb of the system of lakes known as Lake Luzern, which has the highest mountains around and beyond it. Hotel takes full advantage of the breathtaking view with extensive terrace dining. Also with a small grassed area from which to swim in the clear waters. Restaurants no more expensive than in similar establishments. It is the lakefront location and view which doubtless drew Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill and makes even a short stay memorable.

An excellent hotel in an ideal location for exploring Lake Luzern and the surrounding villages. The room was clean and comfortable if not luxurious, the staff were helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory with a range of hot and cold food.
It seems that you are not always guaranteed to get a space in the car park when you arrive. I had to park in a local pay car park until a space became available in the hotel car park. Once I had a space I left my car in the hotel car park for the duration of my stay.
I found that the best way to explore Lake Luzern and the surrounding villages was to use the boat service. This is very convenient since the boat terminal is immediately adjacent to the hotel. However, travelling by boat can be expensive, the return trip from Brunnen to Vitznau cost FR36.00. It is probably a good idea to purchase a “Tell Pass” to allow multiple boat trips on the lake. The passes can be purchased from the Tourist Office in Brunnen.
