Amazing and unique property in a small, beautiful town near lake. Wonderful experience from check in until the end. Staff is very friendly and helpful, some even speak Croatian which was great for us. Car parking is for surcharge but it is in the underground garage which is connected to the hotel so you can easily get out and get in and visit the nearby towns or lakes in Italy. It wasn't too crowded so we also got a free upgrade for our honeymoon. Thanks again to the staff! The spa & wellness area is extremely modern and clean. Real enjoyment and relaxation. I especially liked the sauna “aufguss” show which is every hour on weekends. It can be seen that it is done by professionals and that everything is up to five star standard. Breakfast very rich and tasty. All in all for every recommendation! A royal experience in a real castle!

Das Hotel ist einfach TOP. Das alte Schloß gepaart mit der Moderne. Exklusive Gestaltung. Top Gastronomie. Der eigene Strandbereich wird unterirdisch durch einen Tunnel erreicht. Tiefgarage mit täglich € 22,00 ist ok. Direkt auf kurzem Weg von der Rezeption erreichbar.
Eine kleine Anmerkung. Unser Zimmer hatte die Dusche in der Badewanne. Diese ist mit ca. 30 cm Marmorrand eingefasst. Somit schlecht zum Duschen geeignet. Bei Buchung unbedingt hinterfragen. Es haben nicht sämtliche Zimmer einen Balkon.

Unser gebuchtes Zimmer befand sich im alten Teil. Dieser ist wirklich mehr als alt und auch nicht entsprechend renoviert. So ein Zimmer erwarte ich in einer 2-Sterne Pension um 100€ und nicht um 580€ pro Nacht!!!

Schönes Hotel, das jedoch etwas vom Ruf vergangener Tage zehrt. Anlage sehr gepflegt, gutes Wellnessangebot, beste Lage direkt am See, wunderbarer hauseigener Beach und sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal - aber: man müsste auch mal wieder etwas investieren! Für ein 5* Haus geht es halt nicht, dass im Bad der Schimmel zwischen den Fugen der Badewanne fröhlich blüht, schon beim ersten Blick beim betreten des Zimmer ein Sammelsurium aus verschiedenen Lampen - dazu noch eine ziemlich abgeranzt - einen empfängt, beim Frühstück die Bestellungen sonstwo landeten und noch eine paar andere - zugegeben - Kleinigkeiten, die in Summe jedoch den Preis und die 5* fragwürdig erscheinen lassen.

Das Personal ist zum Teil sehr überheblich und bahandelt die Gäste von ober herab. Ich reise viel und übernachte ce 250 mal in Hotels weltweit. Die meisten davon sind 5Sterne Hotels, Das Falkensteiner in Velden hat zwar 5 Sterne, diese jedoch nicht verdient und kann mit echten internationalen 5 Sterne Hotels nicht wirklich mithalten, weden in Ausstattung noch im Service. Und vom Personal habe ich im hintersten Indien in manchem 2 Sterne Hotel ein freundlicheres Service an der Rezeption erlebt als im Möchtegerne 5 Sterne Falkensteiner.

Die Suiten sind sehr großzügig. Die Einrichtung modern und edel. Die Verbindung zwischen dem alten Schloss und dem modernen Neubau ist außerordentlich gelungen. Sämtliche Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Frühstück direkt am See ist sehr ansprechend. Alles in allem ein tolles Luxushotel, bei dem einfach alles stimmig ist.
