Fantastic hotel. Fantastic location. Extremely limited menu if you don't eat fish. Two Michelin starred restaurants. Both offered tasting menus only at a cost of 200 Euros per diner. The vegetarian menu was too many courses (you would need a large appetite). The second restaurant had nine courses and the majority were fish. The third restaurant offered a varied menu of fish with one meat dish. Hence we ate in the restaurants one night only. If you are happy with the above criteria I am sure they are excellent! But it did not work for us.

Finally, Maria at the front desk was the best. She gave us options, and set up a great plan for us for the 3 days that we were there. She made our stay perfect!!

Healthy, delicious, plentiful breakfast I’m lined with your room, exceeds expectations. Beautiful grounds, multiple pools, gorgeous rooms with the most comfortable beds. The location is walkable to many nice spots and plenty of restaurants. The restaurants at the resort are very good. Splurge for the Michelin Stared places, because the other restaurant, is good but still expensive, pay the extra and have something great. Service is good, especially the housekeeping staff. The spa is fabulous! Definitely recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel. Old school property but not in a bad way. We stayed for four nights and didn’t really leave. The food is great and the area near the water is pretty magical. Sunsets here are great. Service is exceptional. That being said, the hotel isn’t brand new or modern but who cares? I’d recommend and return for sure.

Beautiful location

This resort is located in an unbeatable location with a magnificent view over the sea and other islands. The service is friendly but lacks professionalism at times, especially in the Michelin-starred restaurant Il Cappero where we felt rushed through the 10-course tasting menu and where service was alternately over-bearing (having the staff stare at you while you're eating) but also inattentive (staff didn't notice that a glass of water had been spilled and rarely topped up our wine). The fabric of the hotel is also somewhat disappointing, especially given the extremely high price point for the accommodations. The rooms are comfortable but not luxurious and in general the hotel is showing its age. The pool and sea swimming areas are very beautiful but the facilities in them are in a poor state of repair, with showers not working and all the water jets in the heated pool not functional. Overall, this is definitely the best hotel on the island, but it is significantly over-priced given the state of repair of the property and the inconsistent service. The food is excellent but expect to pay significantly more than on the mainland.

What a wonderful ending to an amazing trip around Italy. The rooms, staff, food ,d surroundings were all five star. Plus to top It off they have a 1 Star Michelin restaurant. Absolutely not wonderful stay.

Fantastic views at a comfortable destination

We spent only one night here but could happily have stayed longer. The resort was nice and quiet during our stay amid sometimes-stormy weather and the outdoor deck of our comfortable broom had a great viee of Stromboli and the other Aeolian islands when conditions allowed, plus the many passing boats and ferries. Staff were invariably happy to help but not always helpful - there needs to be a bit more basic info on hand both before and during a stay, such as a simple resort map (it's fairly complex!), up-to-date ferry timetables etc. All else was great.

A little paradise on earth! Excellent resort, the staff is resourful and welcoming, the infinity pool is amazing, the ocean access is great, and the Shuttle service with a current itinerary. The three different restaurant makes our stay effortless. Ilcappero restaurant was excellent, but menu was the same as two years ago.

Perfect way to spend a honeymoon

Therasia resort was everything we hoped it would be. Excellent 5* service, fantastic location and views, beautiful room with balcony overlooking the island of Lipari.
Food was excellent including the Michelin Il Cappero resturant.
The island of Vulcano has some great attractions, although you can get around everything in a few days, after that if you wanted to keep busy it would be boat trips and island hopping.
Be sure to catch a red sunset, some of the most beautiful I have seen.

Therasia was our favorite stay during our holiday visit to Sicily. The views of all 5 other Aeolian Islands and seeing both sunset and sunrise was unbelievable. Visiting Vucalno for the hike up and to relax on our way to Stromboli.

Therasia is a secluded resort located on the northen tip of Vulcanello. The hotel features an outdoor and indoor pool as well as two salt water baths and a pontoon to dip in the sea. There are 3 restaurants, one outdoors by the pool ideal for lunches but only open in the evening during peak summer. The 2 indoor restaurants vary from the fairly priced Italian seafood cuisine to the more Haute cuisine, Michelin-starred Il Cappero. The set menus are expensive but are an experience in tasting finely tuned dishes by the 29 year old chef. The pool has lunch and drink service with buttons to call service on the tables. Deck chairs are comfortable and plentiful with space between groups. The spa is also calming with massages and treatments available to book. The room fridge has complimentary drinks and the rooms were cleaned twice daily.

It was a lovely experience but not a 5 stars Hotel. Very nice shuttle from and to the port. Friendly welcome.
it was never brochure for spa treatments in the room. Breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant amazing . A complete disappointment at II CAPPERO fine dining restaurant a completely ripped off and the staff very stress while serving us. The only good thing it was the sommelier suggesting a lovely selection of wines from that region which I strongly believed they shold be very proud. Overall was a nice experience but this hotel is far far away to be 5 stars like Kempinski or Anantara .

Overall, we had a fabulous time at Therasia. The grounds, the view and condition of the hotel are absolutely stunning and amazing. The food, too, was extraordinary. We had a deluxe suite and while the room wasn't anything to call home for, the terrace was worth every cent!!! The only areas we thought were not up to 5 stars were the service and general friendliness of the front desk. This was not helped by the fact that very few employees had even 1-2 words of English.

The best hotel in the Eolian Islands

I can't recommend this hotel enough!

The stay began with our welcome drinks and a tour of the facilities. Then we were introduced to our bedroom which was simple amazing, the views were spectacular and everything was in pristine condition.

Views out of the hotel in general are magnificent, as you can see many of the islands across the sea. The pool also lights up at night to give it an extra effect!

Food at the hotel was really good. We dined there twice and had a great experience with the food both times. The real highlight is their breakfast though, a huge selection of food from all corners of the world to please every audience.

It is located just outside of the busy Vulcano Island and offers shuttles very 15 minutes back into town. They also helped us rent our ATV which picked us up directly from the hotel.

The staff was also super sweet! We loved everyone we interacted with.

This hotel is the one of the only reasons I would consider revisiting the Eolian islands.

Based on the reviews I'd read on here I had really high expectations for this hotel. Unfortunately they weren't met, it's not a bad hotel at all I just don't think it was worth the money. The pool is really nice and the rooms are fine but I felt there were a couple of little extras missing that I would expect from a hotel that claims to be 5*. I was also really disappointed with the service in the restaurant and the bar finding the staff rude at some points.
Overall I enjoyed my stay however I don't think it was as amazing as some reviews have made out.

great vacation spot

absolutely 5 star resort-there are more hotel staff than guests, very attentive service at meal times, great cocktails at the bar. The breakfast selection is enormous, and includes anything you can possibly wish for. Location of the hotel is very good. The swimming pool is facing sunset, there are beautiful cacti gardens, and there is an access to the sea to swim in. Unfortunately the weather was windy and cool when we visited in May, otherwise it would have been a perfect holiday. We had a room with balcony facing the sea, which didn`t have any sunshine through the day, but it did have a fab view of all Lipari islands.

We only stayed for two nights, wish it could of been longer! The service from when we arrived was great, greeted at the Port upon arrival by Karmin and shown around the hotel by another lovely lady who i believe was Nancy...the treatments offered in the spa and the whirlpool were fantastic could not fault. We dined in all of the restaurants and not being a seafood and fish eater my choices were extremely limited which was a real shame, the presentation of the meals were excellent but on occasion the taste didn't meet the expectation. Our second evening we ate the the Archipelago restaurant and being seated at the end table really effected the level of service we received....we were almost forgotten about. Wine selection was excellent.

Har aldrig før fået en introduktion til morgenmadsbuffen. Næsten alt var enten hjemmelavet eller lokalt.
Hjemmelavet syltetøj uden tilsat sukker.
Hjemmelavet pistaciesmør. Alle typer mælk. Hjemmebagt brød, kager, pizzastykker mm. af virkelig høj kvalitet.
Det var vi glade for.
Det var spændende med en viden om de forskellige specialiteter, der blev serveret.
Alt var lækkert ved morgenmaden.

Ved poolen var der creme og aftersunlotion. Der var en livredder, der var meget opmærksom.
På toiletterne var der bløde servietter til at tørre hænderne mm. Og det blev hele tiden gjort rent.

Personalet er helt utrolig venlige.
Skønt med en shuttlebus der kører mellem by og hotel ca. en gang i timen.

Som gæst møder man, overalt hvor man kommer, stor opmærksomhed og venlighed.

Skal man nævne noget, der kunne gøres anderledes, er det, f.eks. når man skal spise.
Her behøvede vi ikke en tjener til at hælde op i vores vandglas😊
Dejligt med en opmærksom tjener, der fjerne beskidt service.
Priserne på drikkevarerne syntes vi var for dyrere.

Das Hotel lebt von seiner Lage und Ausstattung, die sind toll. Die Mitarbeiter sind zum Teil sehr freundlich aber zum Teil auch nicht sehr professionell. As Zimmer war gut und sauber. Der Fitnessraum leider nicht sehr sauber. Das WLAN ist im Zimmer schwach. Die Preise für Getränke und Speisen sind etwas überteuert für die gebotene Qualität. Ein schönes Haus aber der Gesamteindruck ist nicht ganz überzeugend.

Das Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Die Lage mit Blick auf alle anderen Liparischen Inseln (nur Salina ist weitgehend von Lipari verdeckt) ist atemberaubend. Man kann sich kaum sattsehen.
Eine bessere Lage auf den Liparischen Inseln gibt es nicht.

Das Hotel entspricht weitgehend dem 5-Sterne-Standart. Der Service ist in allen Bereichen des Hotels sehr gut und freundlich. Besonders hervorzuheben sind aus diesem schon sehr hohen Niveau die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant „Il Cappero“. Auch der Sommelier ist eine besondere Erwähnung wert.
Wir haben dort von unseren 8 Abenden viermal – und das mit Freude – gegessen. Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall den Michelinstern wert, es erinnert stark an die Küche von Nino Di Costanzo im Restaurant „dani maison“ (früher „Il Mosaico“) auf Ischia. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist angenehm und der Blick auf Meer und Inseln hervorragend.

Die beiden weiteren Restaurants des Hotels sind von der Essenqualität und der Speiseauswahl deutlich schlechter und eignen sich allenfalls zum Lunch. Im Restaurant „I Grusoni“ sitzt man allerdings auch sehr gut und hat den schon beschriebenen Blick. Es ist aber kein Abendrestaurant, so dass wir zweimal zum Dinner nach Lipari ins Restaurant „Filippino“ gefahren sind. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlende Fischküche mit hervorragenden persönlichen Service. Mit dem Taxiboot auch eine schöne Heimfahrt (10 Minuten) über das nächtliche Meer.

Das Hotelfrühstück ist verbesserungsbedürftig. Bei zufriedenstellenden Service

Mooiste uitzicht op alle Eolische eilanden tegelijk bij helder weer. Spectaculair. Alle wensbare comfort. Prijzen bar en restaurants overdreven hoog maar zeer goede alternatieven in de havenbuurt als je van verse vis houdt. Gratis shuttle beschikbaar met voldoende frequentie. Zeer mooie spa met heel vriendelijke bediening. Minpuntje is ontbrekende strand.

Per non parlare del costo dell aperitivo e relativi contorni...per 4 striscette di pasta di pizza,dico 4,valore 0,10 centesimi,mi sono visto addebitati 15,00 euro...capisco il lusso che nn te lo ordina nessuno,ma sinceramente è esagerato. Nonostante tutto noi ci ritorneremo,ma con delle accortezze... 10 e lode a tutti gli operatori,accompagnatori,facchini,autisti,camerieri,bagnini,receptionist etc....loro sono da 5 stelle S

La vue est à couper le souffle, les couchers de soleils splendides.

眺めが素敵なリゾートホテル

テラスから見渡す景色が何よりも素晴らしいホテルです。
特に夕焼けの美しさは筆舌に尽くしがたいものがありました。
部屋も綺麗で清潔感があり、従業員の方はとても親切でした。
朝食は種類が豊富でおいしかったです。
また、泊りに行きたいと思います。

素晴らしい眺めのホテルです。
この雄大な風景は、忘れられない記憶となるはずです。朝食も素晴らしい眺めを見ながら、バラエティに富んだビフェをたのしめます。

Trotz langer und komplizierter Anreise einfach nur wunderschön. Top service, tolle Zimmer. Großzügiges Frühstücks Buffet. eir bereuen sehr, dass wir nicht länger geblieben sind.

Smukt hotel og betjening som skal forbedres

Betjeningen på restauranterne var dårlig og aftensmaden på den restaurant som også serverede morgenmad var under middel. Service i receptionen var fin.

Beautiful landscape

The landscape and the hotel's architecture are amazing. The number and the professionality of the staff need to be improved for a 5 stars hotel. The Swimmingpool is beautiful but very crowded with noisy children.
