Comfortable and friendly oasis near Agrigento

Great boutique accommodation (maybe 6-8 rooms) in a rural setting just outside of the hustle and bustle of Agrigento (approximately 2 miles from the town center). Located on the grounds of a family farm with fruit trees, olives, donkeys and geese. Our large, clean and comfortable room had a balcony overlooking the beautiful country landscape. Our host, Dario, was friendly and helpful. His sister, who lives next door, made fresh baked goods and jams that were served with breakfast. Safe and gated parking area. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay here! Dario, our host, was incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Dario and his sister Diana are third generation in the house and their pride and exceptional care is clear in everything they do. As pictured they have a stable of animals from donkeys to goats to peacocks all of whom Dario loves like his own children (he doesn’t use them for meat he just loves the animals). The breakfast here was exceptional featuring farm fresh eggs, home made jams and hands down the best cannoli we had on the entire trip. Agrigento is around 10 minutes from the property which is great because you get the sounds of nature through your balcony window as you sleep. Felt like a little slice of Tuscan heaven in the hills of Sicily. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience and not your traditional chain hotel.

Villa Diane is in the countryside. It is a nicely furnished B+B. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owners are very friendly people. Breakfast is great. Parking no problem. There are some animals around, mostly donkeys.
Villa Diana is about ten minutes from The Valley of the Temples and fifteen minutes drive to Agrigento. The only downside is the fact that there are no restaurants nearby. You have to go for that to Agrigento.

Beautiful countryside villa near Agrigento!! This is quintessential Sicilian living!! I was obsessed with the view from the balcony and didn’t want to leave. Lovely working farm with olive trees, donkeys and geese. The villa is decorated beautifully and I couldn’t get over the Murano glass throughout. We had a yummy breakfast with homemade bread, cake and jam. Highly recommend.

When I booked this on Expedia, it didn’t mention that this was a B&B, so we were a little surprised when we arrived. However, we had a great stay. Dario was very attentive and Diana works all day baking for the breakfast. Everything very fresh. It was quiet, nice view out the back. They have donkeys, sheep, goats, geese and a peacock on the adjacent farm. Dario’s and Diana’s brother was working there all day—hard work—doing his share on the farm. I’m not sure any of them get any rest, at all! I had a minor injury while there and Dario and Diana provided antiseptic and bandages. This B&B was quaint, quiet and very clean. The bed was remarkably comfortable, as were the pillows—the best of our trip so far. Dario and Diana do everything they can to make their guests feel comfortable. We would stay again!

We’ve been at southern Italy for almost a month when we checked in at Villa Diana. We changed our reservation from near the beach accommodation to Villa Diana because of all the reviews we read about this B&B. It did not disappoint.
The room was huge, sparkling clean with gorgeous views
The breakfast was super duper delicious. Home made bread, croissant, cakes, pistachio cannoli and spread. Thinking about these makes my mouth waters. Unbelievable.

Magnificent stay in a beautiful villa!

We had the most wonderful 3 night stay at Villa Diana. The Villa itself was magnificent filled with beautiful things and our room was very nice as well, we had a balcony with fantastic view of the valley, lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed and there was plenty of parking. Dario and Diana were to most lovely people and the food prepared for breakfast was tasty. Diana makes her own jams, limoncello, bread and cakes. I highly recommend this place to anyone with a car, it’s in the hills outside Agrigento.

Beautiful, peaceful retreat with a fabulous host

This was a magical place and definitely worth a visit. After visiting Palermo this was the peaceful retreat we were looking for. Our host was absolutely wonderful - he greeted us outside, brought our luggage up to the room and promptly offered us cappuccinos with fresh home-made cookies that he then brought up to our room and set it up on the balcony so we could enjoy the views. He provided tour guides/maps and recommended local restaurants and even called to make a last minute reservation for us for dinner. The house is gorgeous and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean with the best variety of toiletries we had on our whole tour of Sicily. Our balcony and view was incredible. Our breakfast each day was fabulous with fresh local cheeses, meats and a variety of homemade jams and freshly baked bread and warm torta. Our host was lovely and I wish we could have stayed there forever.

Dario and Diana are truly committed to assuring you have a positive experience during your stay at their property. They are passionate about Sicily and want to help their guests understand Sicilian culture, history, cuisine. Etc.

Our rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds were U. S. king size.

Breakfast was special including local meats and cheeses. Diana makes pastries and cakes from scratch every morning. They make their own preserves which are fresh and delicious.

We felt like guests, not just tourists passing through. We highly recommend The Villa.

Located on a farm 10 minutes from the Valley of Temples and 90 minutes from mosaics at Villa Romana, this charming B & B is exceptional. We thought it was newly built to be a B & B, but it is a family home. Our room was quite spacious, the bathroom was elegant, and we throughly enjoyed sitting on our balcony looking at the hills of olive groves - not to mention the donkeys, goats, and geese. Villa Diana is a perfect place to stay if you want to see the Valley of Temples and the Stairs of the Turks. It is an easy drive to both places and an excellent hotel. The owners are very helpful and friendly and even made a gourmet, fresh, breakfast for the guests. Including homemade bread, cakes, jams and local honey and cheese! AMAZING!! We were so impressed with the hotel and the room was very spacious and clean with a huge bathroom and porch. It was relaxing to come back to after walking around the Valley of Temples all day. Our host, Dario was truly kind and gracious! He took the time to tell us about the Villa and his family history. He gave us some homemade grapefruit-cello and orange-cello, particularly interesting to us as we make our own limoncello at home in CA. Our upgraded room was exquisite and absolutely worth the upcharge. Breakfast was superb, with many items also homemade like bread, jam and orange cake. Dario also helped us with restaurant reservations, both of which were great! Overall a wonderful experience while visiting the Valley of Temples area and Agrigento.

An Absolute Gem

We had a wonderful three-night stay in the countryside. The villa itself is beautiful and filled with elegant furnishings. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the surrounding hills from the large terrace. The breakfasts were outstanding and featured freshly baked bread, cake, and traditional Sicilian sandwiches, cheeses, meats, and pastries.
We enjoyed walking through the olive tree groves and seeing the various farm animals up close (especially Orazio the donkey).
Most importantly, Dario and Diana were gracious, friendly, and extremely helpful hosts. They made us feel right at home. We enjoyed learning about the history of their family, the villa, and Sicily in general from Dario.
Overall, a unique and memorable experience for us. Villa Diana is a must stay when visiting Agrigento.

Villa Diana is a wonderful place to stay in the countryside. The hosts, Dario and Diana are fantastic and helpful with everything. The provided breakfast is amazing - everything cooked fresh! The view of the valley is fabulous, quiet and relaxing. The room we had was large and comfortable. The shower was a little small, like many European showers are, but the bathroom was large and well appointed. Definitely recommend Villa Diana for an authentic, relaxing Sicilian stay.

Quiet elegance, the kind of place where everything just works and is exactly what we needed. Like other reviewers, once I discovered the tranquility of Villa Diana, I wished we'd booked another night or two.

Very comfortable beds, lovely linens, felt like a reset, that unquantifiable confirmation that yes, this is a vacation. Huge bathrooms with massive bathtub and excellent shower.

Breakfast was lovely for several reasons. Diana makes marmalades from fruit trees on their farm and oil from their olive trees. The abundant tables also include fresh eggs from their chickens, plush cakes bursting with fresh preserves, plates of local meats and cheese, honey from their farm, and coffee any way you like it.

But in addition to the lovely food, the thoughtfully set tables, and the overall elegance of the space, there is a tone of welcoming camaraderie and space for leisurely chats.

In terms of the property, it is a villa with a working farm. We arrived in the early afternoon and sat for a while on our balcony enjoying the expansive view of the hills and farmlands of Agrigento. At night, it's was so very quiet and star-studded. In the morning, we opened our balcony doors to birdsong and the sound of chickens and goats. Honestly, idyllic.

At the center of everything is Dario, who kindly welcomed us, showed us his land, his farm, gave us tips for enjoying Agrigento's history and engaging with its vibrant present. We hope to return and spend more time.

Beautiful setting to enjoy Sicilian culture

We stayed two nights at Villa Diana with another couple as we travelled around Sicily.
We are both retired couples. We totally enjoyed the experience. The character and charm of the Villa was enhanced by Dario (owner) and his sister who prepared amazing breakfasts. The location is close to the Valley of Temples and just on the edge of Agrigento and Favara. I would recommend Villa Diana without hesitation or reservation.

This is a family owned B&B, so call/message them to let them know when to expect you since they have a security gate. The house is absolutely beautiful with a grand staircase that begs for a photo op. 😂 Our room was huge, very comfortable and immaculate. We had a wrap around porch with a table to relax overlooking the countryside. Breakfast was incredible with all sorts of local home made delicacies. The family was incredibly friendly. It’s not very close to things, so grab dinner before you get there if you don’t want to go out.

First is all, it is beautiful! We had a balcony that wrapped around the corner for two great views, including the antics of the goats and donkeys next door, which were fascinating the hosts accommodated our every need, and the breakfasts were both excellent and far more than we could eat. The restaurant recommendations were also excellent. We would happily stay here again.

As for the location it is a short drive to the Valley of the Temples, and the parking is free and protected.

Villa Diana is a hidden gem! So much attention is given to every detail. Every corner of this grand home tells a story. Our breakfast was served in a beautiful dining area decorated with fine china and heirloom pieces. We savored our delicious breakfast which included local cheeses, fresh eggs, the best perked coffee we’ve had in Sicily and Diana’s home made jams and hot out of the oven lemon tart. From the outside, Villa Diana doesn't look like much, but inside it is beautiful and the history of the home and the owners and hosts, Dario and Diana, are wonderful!

Our room was beautiful and clean with all amenities we needed. Pretty views from the balcony. There are some small donkeys and goats on the property as well, which was a blast. My girlfriend and I enjoyed seeing them and petting the very cute donkeys!

The best part of Villa Diana are the owners, Diana and Dario. Villa Diana is their family home that they now operate as a B&B. They are truly wonderful and warm people, super attentive to all their guests needs. The food we had as part of the included breakfast was some of the best we've eaten in Sicily, which included all homemade pastries, cakes, jams, etc. courtesy of Diana.

Last, it was our anniversary that day in Agrigento and Dario recommended a nice restaurant in the area for us and got us reservations and a beautiful table with a view of the ruins there. I can't say enough about the hospitality and service of everyone at Villa Diana.

We really enjoyed our stay and the host was fun to discuss history and the local area with. The breakfast is excellent with a great sampling of local foods and the jams, breads, cakes all made right there! It would be difficult to stay there without a car but if you have one it is conveniently located outside of town so you can access the Temples or a restaurant with temple views at night without driving through agrigento. If you are interested in animals they raise the local type of goat that has been in the area for centuries and had almost gone extinct. You will see the goats on the Temple tour as well. As our host advised us, get up and get to the Temples early to avoid the heat and the rush and go knowing you’ve not only seen ancient Sicilian history during your stay but a little slice of country Sicily at the B&B.

(조식이 포함이나, 비수기고 손님이 우리 뿐이라 그런지 다른 곳 대비 역대급으로 부실하였고 심지어 에그스크램블은 계란 하나당 최소 1유로~종류에 따라 그 이상 추가해야지만 먹을 수 있었음.
후기에 인심이 넉넉하고 식사가 괜찮다고 하여 기대했지만 그건 성수기 얘기인지, 아니면 주인이 바뀐건지 모르겠음.
인당 35유로씩 추가해서 먹은 저녁 또한 입맛에 맞지 않고 가격대비 부실하여 비추합니다.
둘째날 조식은 거의 아무것도 차려져 있지 않았음.

Quiet location and somewhat remote. Definitely need a car. An extra charge of two euros for having one boiled egg for breakfast we thought was grasping. We would not choose to stay at Villa Diana again.

The villa is just beautiful, rooms are very spacious, very clean, with big comfortable bathrooms, with authentic Venetian furnitures meticulously collected and beautiful chandeliers. The owner was extremely pleasant, made us feel so welcome and special. We were very tired the night before and overslept for breakfast. He waited for us with breakfast ready. One of the best rooms/B&B I stayed.

Very convenient for the Valley of the Temples. We had a large room that had a balcony overlooking the countryside. Choice at breakfast was good and Dario was very proud to promote all local produce. Not much of interest to see in Agrigento. Good local restaurant in Favara, called King.
