I have stayed here on a few different occasions. They are currently renovating the property, but it does not interfere with the appearance or your stay. The staff is always welcoming and accommodates needs. It is my preferred place to stay anytime I go to Johnstown.

Beds were comfortable, room lacked some modern furniture. the stuff was friendly however the hotel inside was very dated.( Hence construction) Continental breakfast had some healthy options but not many. We appreciate the location close to Walmart, Panera, Starbucks and gas station so that part was super convenient.

Absolutely disgusting experience. When we first pulled up to the hotel, I genuinely thought it was closed because the lobby was covered in dust and dirt and looked completely neglected. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning.

We checked in quickly because we were heading to a wrestling championship and didn’t have time to really inspect the room. When we came back later and looked around, the room was absolutely filthy. The floors and walls were dirty and looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. To make matters worse, we found two live roaches in the room. At that point, we immediately packed up and left.

I went straight to the front desk to check out and request a refund. The attendant, Dwayne, told me I had to contact Expedia. Expedia then made several attempts to reach the hotel for approval of the refund, but the hotel never responded to their calls or emails.

It’s beyond unacceptable for a hotel to rent rooms that are this dirty and infested with roaches, and even worse that they refused to respond or take responsibility afterward. I am absolutely disgusted by this experience and the lack of accountability.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. No guest should have to deal with this.

Floor has dark chips in the laminate. Hallway has a bad odor sometimes and a burnt odor other times. Bathroom was leaking water from the ceiling in the middle of the night. Floor had large puddle and I stepped in it. Very inexpensive room but should have been cheaper.

Staff were courteous, however breakfast was fairly drab, offered limited healthy choices and the hot drinks were lukewarm. The room door was stiff and difficult to open, the coffee machine tripped the electrics and was therefore unusable, and outside noise through the night disrupted sleep.

We stayed only one night. The room floor was tile and not swept so it felt gritty to our bare feet. Saturday morning 8:00 a construction crew began hammering on the walls outside our room and that was our wakeup call I guess! We got a king bed room and there was no dresser for our clothes!! I will say the bed was very comfortable but the pillows were thin as tissue paper. Also we paid thru Hotel.com but when we got there they said we did not pay yet so we had to pay again!!! When we got home we checked and yes the payment to Hotel.com was out of our bank acct so we tried to contact the Sleep Inn for a refund and they said \"Well Hotel.com is showing your reservation but they did not pay us yet so that is why we charged you.\" (not my problem, right?) after a few days on numerous phone calls they decided to refund us our nights stay. BUT when we checked our bank account they charged us again! after 3 more days of waiting for a call back after leaving messages, it was finally all refunded. Took a week to get our money $215+ back into our acct! NEVER AGAIN!

The room was very clean and had a nice kitchenette. The room had undergone some upgrades but was still a little rough around the edges ie click flooring separating in the middle of the floor, old yellowed plate covers, a cracked glass in the window, & some rough walls. The parking lot is well lit and I saw an onsite security officer in the lobby when we returned for the evening. The location is convenient to shopping/restaurants/expressway access. The hotel was under renovations and they were installing new carpet in the hall just outside our door first thing in the morning. It was clean and safe which made it a good stay.

First night a couple of hours later woke up to bites on my arms. I turned on my phone light to see if there was bed bugs but while doing that I found hair all throughout the bed. They moved me to the first floor and the refrigerator was making an annoying noise all night. Now come Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. I wake up to hammers, drill, and ripping of the walls right outside. I am coming from L.A. so I am already trying to catch up on timing for sleep so losing sleep while I am here for film work is really taking a toll on me especially since I got sick not use to the cold weather here so I am not able to sleep already.
They never informed us that they were doing construction or I would have left immediately.
What's worse they won't do what's right to give me a refund or partial.

The service is wonderful. Front desk staff was cheery and happy and very helpful.

The condition of the property is poor. They painted over door hardware, there are sliders for the bathroom door rather than real doors, bathroom hooks come off walls, paint is sloppy.

Location is good, sheets are clean.

Overall it’s a decent place to stay.

The heating/air conditioning unit was so loud that you couldn’t have it on. Sounded like something was broken. Huge chunks of paint were pealing on the bathroom ceiling. Bed was very “bouncy” like the springs were worn out. Clean but not worth the price they charge.

I was greeted by the young front desk gentleman who seemed eager to be helpful and engaging, even answering my question about a local legend of a statue of a dog in the nearby area. My room was spacious and clean and comfortable but the floor seemed worn and had some damage but again the desk agent told me he would note it. My room also had a full size refrigerator. The ice machine was on the 3rd floor but had an out of order sign on it. It seemed like the third floor was being updated too. The breakfast area was spacious and clean too. It is a nice place to stay. TV gave plenty of choice for viewing too.

The floors in the room had broken areas which are dangerous. The toilet did not work well and no maintenance person ever came even after reported. There was a constant hum in the room. The staff was friendly for the most part. The breakfast left a little to be desired.

Employees at front desk were fine but the room conditions were poor and I have a long history of hotel stays.
I saw evidence of bugs crushed on the walls in at least 3 places in my room along with caulking in bathroom that was old and molded in need of replacement.
The 1st room I was assigned literally had poop on the top of the toilet seat!

Don't rent the handicapped room.

We stayed in a handicapped room that had a broken air-conditioner. When the compressor turned on it was like a jet engine reving up for take off. It made a high screeching noise while running. And made the sound of a car engine slowing down when it was shutting off. So we got very little sleep both nights. It's hard for me to believe they didn't knowthey didn't know the air compressor needed to be replaced.

I checked in late and was exhausted from a long day of work and travel. When I walked into my room, there was an odd smell. It was a mixture of cleaning solutions and something I couldn't quite put my finger on. When I turned on the HVAC, I figured out what is was. Evidently, someone had puked into the louvers of the HVAC unit, so I quickly turned it off. It was late, so I just turned it off and tried to turn on the TV. Unfortunately, the TV didn't work at all. I just ended up going to sleep.

I will say that the bed and the pillows were comfortable, but sleeping all night in stagnant, smelly air was horrible.

Spend the extra money and stay at the Holiday Inn Express. It is super clean and comfortable, and I won't make the same mistake of staying in a low quality, low cost hotel like this again.

Like others, I booked this hotel based on good reviews. And the price was good. The young men at check-in were nice. But that's where it ends. Should have spent more and stayed somewhere else. Stayed one night (too many). As soon as I walked into the room, I should have walked out. So many things wrong. But I figured it was just one night. The towels were nice. Mattress was soft and springs were squeaky. I have photos, but it will not let me download them.
