5 star in every way. Spacious room, very comfortable rollaway beds for the kids, best breakfast buffet spread with every variety of foods imaginable. Attentive and efficient service across restaurant and reception. Kid friendly. Lovely pool.

Chef at breakfast prepared a special takeaway package of food for us after learning we were about to embark on a long train journey. Beyond thoughtful.

5 star in every way. Incredible service and hospitality, spacious room, excellent buffet breakfast. Great location - walking distance to Lavelle road boutiques and short rikshaw ride to MG road / commercial street. A very special stay.

Chef at breakfast specially prepared takeaway food for us and our kids after hearing that we were about to get on a long train ride. Exceptionally thoughtful.

Overall stay was fine and reception & restaurant/buffet staff were really nice. But there are better choices in this range.

There were few things that could be improved:
- The room was quite noisy even on the 11th floor. We could hear lot of out side noise/traffic even with balcony windows closed.

- The staff outside the hotel lobby to receive guests were quite choosy when it comes to open doors in and out of the lobby and opening car doors. We didn’t get a good service at all - especially for guests coming in Uber.

- The room had two entries to the bathroom and one of them was a weird double sliding door with lo lock. So, when you are in the bathroom, anyone outside of the bathroom can open these doors and see everything. Can’t believe the stupidity of not providing the locks.

This is an amazing Hotel - perhaps the best of all I have stayed in all my world travels. The staff is beyond compliments - each one putting in so much by way of care and dedication. My daughter suffers from Celiac Disease and just one mention of that at the check in (reception) was met with every chef reaching out to ensure meals were prepared for her with the utmost concern and precautions. Chef Rama, Sunil, Gopal all deserve special mention here. The front desk is very responsive to every need. I an go on and on about the cleanliness, maintenance, fcomfort and other attributes that everyone mentions here - they are all impeccable! I will return here on my next visit to Bangalore. Keep up the good work, please!

Excellent stay! Our package came with daily breakfast and your choice of lunch or dinner. I highly recommend this package as the food in their main restaurant is excellent. They had both Indian and non-Indian options, which was great. Our room came with a bath which was great, but it was not adequately cleaned upon our check in. When we notified the staff, it took some time for them to respond but eventually they did. Otherwise, cleanliness and service were excellent and quick.

Very nice hotel and very centrally located

This was my first stay here at the JW Marriott Bangalore near UB city. The hotel is very nice and I had a very enjoyable stay.

Pros: Nice hotel, nice rooms - well appointed, very good breakfast, good service (room service was reasonably quick and efficient)

Cons: The key cards and their readers in the lifts as well as on room doors have issues. Almost all the guests i interacted with in the lifts had the same issues. This definitely needs immediate attention. It is a source of unnecessary irritation and inconvenience.

Overall no major issues and I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5.

Best Hotel in town... well almost.

The staff were amazing. Though the rooms wore a jaded look, the overall comfort level was above average for the region. The bathroom towel hook was loose and fell just missing my foot. It needs to be tightened. Informed housekeeping who in turn informed the engineer to fix it.
The customer relations officer in particular took good care of me.

Dilapidated and worn out property which looks like it hasn’t been maintained over months . Soiled carpets greet you at the check and you can even find soiled carpets in the room. Smelly aged towels . Strong smell of Mold in the air conditioning system. Certainly not even a 3 star property. I won’t ever recommend this to anyone.

Perils of Covid-19 seen in staff behavior

Probably on the best hotel properties in Bangalore. I've always loved staying here at the JW. Rooms are immaculate, service staff are friendly and accommodating.

Although they were very careful in operational compliance because of covid rules in Karnataka, they certainly made sure I was comfortable. There were groups of people standing around next to where we ate lunch, possibly staff from the hotel, which was slightly discomforting because they were staring at us like we were doing something wrong! That can be avoided. People are on-edge, so to speak, so, any group gathering can be avoided, especially in eating areas where we are unmask . I did mention this to the front desk staff when checked out. Ironically, I had my mask off when I spoke with the front office staff and the lady there quickly (and very overzealously) pointed at me and asked me to put on my mask. That I thought was interesting. Otherwise, a good hotel with fantastic rooms.

The service is downright horrible. You would see more courteous staff in Oyo hotels that is 1/4 the price of this property. On the Hotels listing they promised a complimentary room upgrade. However when I went there they gave me the same room I booked and called it an upgraded one, shameful. Swimming pool rooms are a mess and not clean. There are barely any TV channels, bath tubs are small. The property itself is good, in a good location and comfortable. But the service is definitely not that expected from JW Marriott.

Property and staff provide excellent hospitality in all departments.
The swimming pool was something of a disappointment. Not really suitable for swimming for exercise it's essentially a shallow (4feet) play pool for families with young children. Also the sun does not hit the terrace where the pool resides so it's a disappointment for those who want to swim daily.. It is very clean like all areas of the hotel.
What is amazing is the buffet offerings in the JW Kitchen both for lunch and dinner which are excellent. World class. The rooms and coridoors are excellently maintained by a superb housekeeping team.

Great Location Great amenities and courteous staff. 2 things stood out:
1) We were at the 6th floor yet the loud music from Parties 4 floors below on friday/saturday nights could annoy us at night. I was expecting either better sound proofing or a better choice of party floor
2) There was a longish wait to get seated for breakfast on Saturday morning.

The place is very good. Good crowd and ambiance, very well situated in one of the main locations. I found the JW Kitchen to be just okay, given that a-la-carte lunch took long time to get served and is priced also high. Morning breakfast was very good, but the arrangement of the counters is very confusing, and without proper name tags becomes difficult to understand which counters are for which.

An excellent location in the heart of business district and opposite to Cubbon Park; well trained and courteous staff.The buffet spread is one of the best. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The only flaw was smell in the room corridors - think, the carpets need cleaning.

Wonderful staff and excellent facilities. That said, even from the 10th floor, noise from the street can by annoying well into the evening, and first thing in the morning. Anyway, great gym, spa, and Exec. Lounge. This was my 4th trip to Bangalore, 15th to India, with this hotel beating Taj hotels regarding recognizing repeat stays, loyalty to the brand (hotel).

This is the worst experience in this class of hotel. We were on a business trip and have booked 4 rooms under the booking, however the staff told us that they had to move 2 rooms to another hotel 40 minutes away. Worst of all the staff lied to us that there was a water pipe leakage on the floor so that they cannot have the guests stay in the rooms, where in fact the hotel was overbooked and they try to convince two of our rooms to be moved (we know the truth when the sister hotel told us). Furthermore, the sister hotel, Courtyard, was much cheaper than the Marriortt and they charge the two rooms the full rate that was booked earlier. I cant believe this is the kind of service we got and the dishonesty of the staff was something that is unacceptable

I upgraded to an executive suite. The room is spacious and the view from the balcony was excellent. The stay was for a night only. The family enjoyed the dinner by the poolside. Staff were courteous. The chef took pains to ensure that the food was to our liking and topped the courtesy with a complimentary dessert. Morning breakfast spread was good.

Wonderful pool for children

The pool was perfect for me to spend time with my 5 year old grandson. Unfortunately they had silly restrictions on serving the poolside menu after 6pm, and they try to make you go to an overpriced restaurant instead. (Food in the next door UB City restaurants, which offers equivalent or better quality, is available at 1/3rd the cost).

In general the hotel is trying way too hard to extract extra money from customers. When I checked in early they tried to charge me an extra half dsy. They charge extra for internet, and even more to get any speed. They charge extra for breakfast. All this on top of charging prices for rooms which are higher than I would pay in Canada.

When this hotel opened it was good value and offered many inclusive benefits. The accountants have taken over.

My stay at the JW Marriott Bangaluru was one of a kind experience. We have never gotten such wonderful hospitality from any other hotel around the world. It is the best. From Poorvi (one of the best at service) and Pooja in the front reception, to Manushi (chef), Dipesh and Pragati from JW Kitchen, to Raghu and team in the executive lounge and Pawan & Shekkar and team at house keeping. What a team of staff. Made me feel at home. Will definitely visit Bangaluru again just for such a wonderful memorable stay. Wish this staff all the best in their future. JW Marriott is lucky to have them. Thank you once again for such hospitality. You have a wonderful place there. Will recommend this place to all my friends and family. Excellent venue. I often travel to Bangalore on business and have stayed at several 5 star hotels in the area. I must admitt that the JW was the best experience I've had. Housekeeping goes out of their way to anticipate your needs and ensure everything is perfect. The staff remembers your name and greet you by name as you are roaming around. the food is excellent.... being next to UB City is a big p music because you can simple walk over and go to the many restaurants and shops. Special thanks to Mahendra at the restaurant, Govinder in housekeeping, and Biphul at registration... will be staying here from now on. see you guys in a few months.
