The aircon in the room was extremely cold when we checked in and we tried to adjust the aircon temperature but failed and had to tell the hotel receptionist . We were told it was centralised aircon and we requested that the temperature to be set at a comfortable level.

The breakfast and lunch buffet in the restaurant should have better varieties. It can be improved for western and indian ! Some of the food containers are empty on the food counter. Food replenish is very slow. Overall the hotel room is clean and so is the corridor of the rooms and the hotel lobby. Hotel room price was good

The rooms and bathroom are clean. Basic infrastructure but staff has no hospitality training. Its more of a guest house than a hotel. The staff talks back and have no respect or regard for the guets. Food is very basic. The only saving grace is the location of the hotel and hot water in teh bathroom. This is more of a business hotel stay kind of thing where you come back to the hotel and can just sleep, but not cosy or comfortable.
I managed to go for my walks to cubbon park everyday which made this hotel perfect for my stay.

The room was dated and was showing it's age - it was poorly lit, there were switches that didn't work, and the couches were very dusty.
The shower didn't work on the first day, they had to send maintenance to fix the issue. They did fix it, but walked around the room and bathroom with wet boots on, so I had to request additional cleaning myself.
To top it all off, management charged me 1000 rupees for a guest to enter my room for 15 minutes.
I wouldn't stay here again.

It’s a charming little hotel with a few gotchas that may or may not be tolerable depending on your priorities. The good: staff is extremely helpful (even when they don’t speak English), they even help with your deliveries. I used the premium suite and that gave me a little living room, a large bedroom and a bathroom. The rooms have mirrors on the ceiling, which is a unique touch. The bad: during my entire stay I had little to no WiFi and had to use my data plan. The room I stayed was rather gloomy with little sunlight and the decor is kitsch. I wouldn’t call it a 4 star hotel.

Overall, I liked my stay in spite of the drawbacks.

Gym is useless, things are broken and rusted etc.
Breakfast spread was great.But I saw a small cockroach around the coffee/tea/cereal counter, that freaked me out. The sanitation in the place can be improved dramatically.

My problem was not with the hotel, but with you: hotels.com. You advertised that the hotel provided free collection from the airport, but when I tried to book this via your site, no one got back to me. Upon asking, the hotel said they do not provide such a service. Your site is misleading in this regard. The hotel itself was very good.

I recently stayed at Elanza Hotel in Bangalore and had an overall pleasant experience. The room was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable environment for relaxation. The breakfast offered a good variety and was quite satisfying.

One of the highlights of our stay was the friendly and attentive staff, who made us feel very welcome.

However, I did notice that the lobby and reception area could use some improvement. The carpet in these areas needs cleaning, and enhancing the ambiance would greatly benefit the overall impression of the hotel.

Despite this, I would still recommend Elanza Hotel for its excellent rooms and hospitality.

The hotel overall feels a bit dark but rooms have plenty of lightings. Room was big enough like pictures but pillows were very “tired”, the bed linen the same way, had a small hole on it but had a comfortable sleep. The worst was the shower, only slightly warm water and rain shower had was non functional and rusty. wifi and wired connections were good. Breakfast was normal. Some places to eat around but May not be the best .

i have been staying in this hotel from past 8 years. But haven't had chance from past 2 year after covid. This was first time after covide and the hotel quality has declined a lot. The room i stayed in, had broken chair, faulty water system, dirty sheets & no basic toilet article except a toothbrush & paste. The sofa was dirty and torn apart. The A/C control system was broken, except either keep it on or switch it off. overall was poor stay feeling this time.

The bed was not comfortable and pillows were very old and didn't give any support. I stayed at this hotel for over half a dozen times. I requested for two hours late check out which was declined. When I left my room at 12:00 noon, there was 5 vacated room waiting to be cleaned and there was nobody working on that floor to clean rooms. What was the logic denying late checkout to a repeat guest when nobody was going to clean my room for over next 3 hours???

One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the 12hh00 check in, two hours earlier than most hotels. The rate was reasonable as well. The staff are helpful, but have very serious faces. Breakfast was not to my liking. The area looks dodgy, but was safe to walk at night. TV channels limited to local content. On the main, I had a good stay.

I have stayed at the Elanza several times as it is a reliable hotel. All was good this time except that they do not have guest wifi once you have checked out. I think that is a big issue. We all need wifi, all the time, even after checking out (maybe to get a cab on Uber as in my case). Suggest that they address this deficiency

Clean well maintained hotel in a fun neighborhood in Bengaluru, not too far to MG Road/Chuch street. The wifi is good and the room was very nice with an excellent overhead shower. The soundproofing is good because I couldn't hear the road at all. The front desk provided as much bottle water as I asked for and the breakfast was reasonably good.
My only complaint is that the lights and everything in the room was occupied by a bunch of weird buttons on the wall and nightstand. These were small and hard to read/find and sometimes I had a hard time turning on or off the lights.

I was in desperate situation as my previous hotel bookings in South India wr terrible. I thought it’s common for India hotels to be like that. Elanza hotel did a great job. I booked this hotel on expedia. The terms and conditions do not mention that visitors are not allowed in the room. At the time of checking in, the hotel staff told me there are no visitors allowed in the night (which I understand) but are allowed in the daytime subject to ID proof. To my chagrin, the hotel did not allow my friend to come up in the daytime. They said visitors are not allowed and the night time staff did not know the rules or told incorrectly. While I understand the hotel's right to screen visitors to obviously weed any illegal activity, it was fully incomprehensible to see that legit visitors were not allowed. I had a friend as well as colleague visit me as I was there only for a day and it made sense to meet and work together. Though the premise always exists of meeting people outside, I was upset with the misinformation. I wouldnt have booked a room in the hotel otherwise. As a matter of principle I checked out after one day even though I had paid for 2 days. The hotel is not bothered about customer experience nor to use its common sense where applicable. I am now following up with Expedia for refund (due to misinformation or omission of details)

Lovely clean hotel. Great selection for breakfast every morning and lovely food. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the porters greeting us on arrival, the staff on reception to the staff in the restaurant! Everyone of them were polite and always smiling especially Manesh in the restaurant. The beds were extremely comfortable! Would definitely recommend this hotel and will gladly return!

Restaurant Rowdies Disrupted Otherwise Great Stay

I enjoyed my nice room, the helpful staff, room service, and the food selections for both morning and evening meals in the restaurant. One issue I had was with the front desk staff not following through on my request to speak with a manager about a problem that took place while I was in the restaurant early one morning and a group of men (not hotel guests) started fighting. As the only other guest in the restaurant at the time, i quickly left my table, alerted the front desk, and went back up to my room. As the morning progressed, i had to make several trips to front desk to finally speak to a manager to make sure he knew what happened. As i shared with him about the incident in the restaurant: security should have been alerted much more quickly, the rowdy group dismissed from the restaurant, and the comfort of paying hotel guests taken into consideration. Other than saying, “Sorry, sir,” he did nothing to make amends for the incident. I hope he clarified with his staff what to do differently next time, should this happen again. The lack of a manager on duty before 10:30am may need to be reconsidered

I stayed here for 10 nights for business. The stay overall was very pleasant but the hotel is slightly dated and doesn’t feel particularly 4 star. Good things about the hotel: staff friendly with good service, shower was great with rain shower head, complimentary bottled water and complimentary breakfast. Not so good things: I wasn’t able to check in early meaning I had to sit in the lobby for 3+ hours after an overnight flight, some of the bedroom switches were connected incorrectly, e.g., the switch for ‘make my room’ actually turned the ‘laundry collection’ on. The room was on the 4th floor with quite a noisy generator above. Lastly, the bed itself wasn’t very comfortable.

Had a very pleasant 5 days stay in this very accommodating hotel. Daily buffet breakfast filled our stomachs to last the whole day. It's close proximity to local shopping and some sightseeing places certainly was a plus point. We would definitely come back for more wonderful experiences.

The room was very dark - just not enough natural light and when you switch all the lights off, it is difficult in the dark to find the vorrect switch to turn them on again. The hotel was nice however. The room service was not consistent. The room had a bit of a mildew smell to it. These things didn't ruin our trip though. Our biggest disappointment was that we booked a car service through the hotel on more than one occasion and the first time the driver was rude and did not want to take us to a second location. We booked the car for four hours and apparently the driver wanted to be finished after 2 hours!!! (we didn't let him but it was annoying) So we tried again......and they assured us that they would book another car and we would have no problems...............well we couldn't have any problems because the car NEVER showed up!! We were hosting a party to celebrate our marriage and we were an hour late because of this, It was a rotten experience and the hotel didn't go out of their way to fix it. That is disappointing for sure. We frequently spend time in this area of Bangalore and I certainly will look for other accommodations next time.

Reading the reviews on Expedia helped us make up our minds that hotel elanza was where we would stay but after getting there and experiencing the place reinforced our decision to be the right one. Was very comfortable. Guess this is a very old hotel that has been renovated very well recently. Food was very tasty and the buffet spread was awesome too.
Am not sure with other hotels, this hotel won't accomodate females having bangalore ID. The receptionist by mistake rejected my wife's mangalore ID and apologised for the mistake when he read it properly. Came to understand this factor with this incident. I wud say its a good stand by the management to maintain certain level of discipline of guests.

we have booked rooms from hotels.com and selected pay at hotel option . they have deducted money from my credit card 2 days before we checked in . and we told mr sujeesh front office manager to refund money to our credit card back and we will pay cash . he agreed for that . we have paid cash but this hotel has not refunded any money us in our credit card till now . and mr sujeesh stopped lifting phones also . so suggest never stay in this hotel .service is poor and manager is not good person.

As per choice chef preparation.
Stay with family was very nice.

Nice hotel in the center of the city

I stayed for two days &felt happy. Rooms were clean,number of dishes kept in the breakfast

Nice Hotel but Bad Restaurant Staff

A great Stay, worth every penny!
No problem with the hotel but disappointed with the Restaurant staff and timings as both the times we sat to have lunch at the restaurant we had to leave because the waiter said that they were not operating after 3pm although it was just ten mins past 3pm. If they wanted they could have satisfied the customer but then a straight NO on the face was very disappointing. Apart from this it was a pleasant stay! I would suggest anyone this hotel and I definitely for sure would be the first choice when I come down to Bangalore.
