Small but adequate and quiet rooms, also kept quite clean. Nothing interesting in the immediate vacinity but priced quite reasonably. We did not pay for the breakfast though I did cashed a few coffees from their machine after being given permission to so so, which helped my impression immeasurably. I would stay here again, but might prefer to hunt for something closer to the center of town.

Conveniently situated for att the D-day sites and others. The room, albeit on the smaller size was ample for me and my 2 daughters ages 12 and 15. Room cleaned and tidied every day. We opted for the breakfast at just under 10 euro for me and my 15 year old and half price for the 13 year old. In my opinion slightly overpriced for a continental. Would definitely consider an Ibis Budget again.

Friendly staff, easy to get to with lots of parking. Clean and comfortable room. Perfect to arrive at late in the evening if you have no plans. If you’re hoping to arrive earlier and explore Bayeux, it is a little out of the way.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ibis Budget Bayeux. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English for those who like me have a limited knowledge of French. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. Breakfast was a typical self serve continental breakfast, with plenty of choice available.
The only disappointment was that the wasn’t a kettle in the room to make a drink, although there was a machine in the foyer for hot drinks; great if you are a coffee drinker but not so good if you like tea!
Perfect location for getting into Bayeux by car, it’s about a 7 minute drive to the centre and is easily found on leaving the main road. We would definitely stay again if we return to Bayeux.

great stay for a nice price. clean room, friendly staff. if you don't have a car it's a bit far from downtown bayeux. but if you're comfortable walking or cycling, it's fine. i actually walked from/to the main train station with a backpack and enjoyed the scenery. also glad i added the breakfast option when i ckecked-in. worked out nice to fuel up in the mornings before long cycling trips.

After spending a week travelling through France, moving between budget hotels our conclusion was ‘choose an Ibis’. This particular hotel was clean, convenient for drivers and inexpensive. One distinct advantage was the adjacent restaurant.

Nice little hotel for a break

Front desk staff very helpful and speak English if needed. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare when everyone comes down but the items were replenished when required, just a shame it was a smallish space to sit. Second day we came down earlier and was more relaxed. Room was basic which was all we required with shower and toilet etc and room for the dogs, They really enjoyed themselves. One thing we noticed was that the dogs were not allowed in the breakfast seating area and also there were no bins for poop bags outside the hotel or surrounding area, so fortunately the bin men had not collected from the other companies so we had a temporary bin for the time we were there. Other than that our time in the hotel was fine with no real issues. One thing I would like to mention is that the lighting seems all high tech with touch switches, but please could you supply some USB ports for charging phones (as we left our converter plug at another hotel so had to rely on charging in the car) as these are universal. Thanks

This is a great budget property. You get what you pay for. My room was small and clean. Check in and parking were easy and intuitive. The price was a steal. I have a rental as I road trip around France so this was wonderfully close to Bayeux (I spent the evening touring around the city centre after going to Juno Beach) and parking in town was simple and affordable. Very much recommend for people looking for a no frills accommodation in the area.

Very friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. Sound isolation is great. Airco perfect. Beds of type hard but fitted with topper on forehand. Breakfast got everything you need. 10 Minute drive from Bayeux, a nice small town with several features to visit. 30 Minute drive from some of the WW2 landing beaches. When you're from Canada don't miss out on the Juno Centre at Juno beach !. 1 1/2 hour drive from Mont Saint Michel.

We used this hotel as a base for out trips to the D-day sites. It is ideal for this purpose.

The staff are so helpful and so friendly. The hotel is better than basic and spotlessly clean throughout. The communal areas, the stairways the rooms, the en suite and bed linen. All absolutely spotless.

Breakfast is basic but more than adequate. Dinner is available in the restaurant a few metres away. We ate there both nights, using the discount voucher offered by the hotel. My son had a steak burger on the first night and a fish dish on the second. I had the best vegetarian burger I've ever had.

The only negative was the very noisy road at night. It demanded that we closed the window.

The rooms are small but adequate and well designed. They h avec aircon and a fkat screen tv offering bbc 1,2 and 4 along with American news channels and, of course, French language programmes.

I would very happily stay at this hotel again.

As usual location was on outskirts of the local town which makes parking easier. A franchise eatery was adjacent if you wanted a steak meal. Continental breakfast lacked any cold meats but otherwise OK. Shower head lacked any adjustment for position.

It's out of town but I was traveling with a car and it has easy parking. Just off a motorway so was central to wherever I wanted to go. It was everything I want in a hotel. Clean, quiet and no fuss. Great WiFi. Even worked in restaurant next door

Cheap price gets you a cheap experience. The bed was so hard that I folded the comforter blanket over to sleep in it like a sleeping bag. It gave a little more cushion that way.

It's right off the expressway and a minute from Bayeux.

I didn't pay the extra 24 Euros for the breakfast and dinner.

The hotel is new with just one restaurant next door and nothing else in walking distance. Staff was professional, busy but gave us adequate attention. Close to CDG with a shuttle bus that services several hotels in the area. The rooms are spartan with just the basics and the breakfast is adequate if not great. The is a cheap option near the airport if you are just looking for a place to stay before your flight.

Great base for Normandy and Bayeux tapestry

This is right off the \"autoroute\" from Paris. About 10 minutes into Bayeux and 25 minutes to most of the Normandy points of interest and about 1:10 to Mont Saint Michel. It's new and clean and more than adequate and staffed by helpful folks who speak very passable English. Breakfast is fine at 6 Euros. The restaurant next door, Courtepaille, is part of a chain and offers a 15% discount to hotel guests. We tried it once and concluded there were much better choices in Bayeux. Don't miss the Tapestry.

The bathroom light used a motion sensitive switch for on/off - thus when standing or sitting motionless the light would turn off after a rather short time. Lengthen the time on the motion switch or use a manual switch.

The hotel is located about 6kms from Bayeux so having a car is preferable but we used taxis (10-12 Euros one way to/from Bayeux) and it was still a good value. The Ibis Budget is located in the country with a nearby Normandie products and book store (very interesting) and a chocolate factory (nice). There is a lovely restaurant/grill next door which gives a discount at dinner for hotel guests. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. We ate there several times. We're glad we stayed here.

Upsides: the room was clean, the staff was friendly and spoke English without acting grumpy about it, and breakfast was decent. The hotel is also very convenient to the freeway (although it’s a long way from the center of Bayeux, not ideal for tourists who was to visit the town).

Downsides: the room was tiny and poorly laid out, the sink was microscopic, the bathroom light was on a motion senser that would turn off at... inconvenient times (whose bright idea was that?), the toilet flushing mechanism jammed and wasted a ton of water before an employee fixed it, and an employee left my room door ajar all day, so anyone could have entered and stolen my belongings (happily no one did). Also, I arrived at midnight to find the gate to the parking area was closed, and had to wait a while before the night desk clerk noticed and opened it. I had better experiences with hotels in places like Albania and Bosnia...

The toilet cistern in our room was not holding water, discharge valve leaking and water running through constantly, unable to flush solids!
Receptionist tried to fix it [this was Saturday afternoon], unable to do so.
Asked for another room, none available hotel full.
Resorted to filling bin bucket with water to flush toilet.
Not fixed by the time we left.

We were in Bayeux to see the D-Day Landing beaches and check-out Normandy this little hotel was just perfect as we did not spend a lot of time there. Very close to the picturesque little town of Bayeux with an amazing cathedral in the center of town would recommend the Hotel
