Parking was great, right next to the hotel, We book a Triple room and this had loads of space. The breakfast was continental, plentiful and all fresh, very happy. We were over to explore the D Day beaches and this hotel was perfectly located for this and especially Gold beach.

Although it’s not accessible by public transport, we got information on a taxi driver from the front desk employee and used him for our trip (we did not have a car rented). It’s really walkable to the beach and street with food/shopping. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, plus the view from the window at sunset was just beautiful. Would recommend this hotel!

Shower is quite small but that is typical of Europe. Place looks like it has been renovated very recently. We had a two night stop over on our way to Bordeaux immediately before the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings so the on site parking was very useful. The hotel was ideally located in a quieter area which was an easy and very short walk to the town centre and beaches. The rooms were very comfortable and well presented and the breakfast area similarly well set out and and convenient. Would have preferred a more powerful shower in the room but overall a very enjoyable stay.

What a lovely spot to stay! We spent 3 nights in a 2 bedroom unit (2 adult, 2 teens) with a bonus outdoor space. Breakfast was delicious. Very quick walk to the shops and the water front. Don’t forget to book a parking space.

This is a little gem of a hotel located minutes walk away from the beach and center of town. The breakfast which was included in my price was surprisingly good. If it wasn’t included in the price, I wouldn’t have minded paying the 12.50 Euros they were charging. There is laundry service not self service though. We paid 10 Euros to have them do a load of our dirty laundry. The room definitely needs upgrading and if they did upgrade, they would definitely be justified charging so much more because of the location. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return.

Lovely spacious room, only down side was that if could quite noisy during the day until early evening. The luxury double room was above the hotels kitchen and laundry. Also looked out onto busy road.

We arrived after dark and had a hard time finding the hotel. The street signs refer to Hotel Mountbatten but on the front window of the hotel it says Ideal in oddly placed letters which is very misleading. The owner wasn't there when we arrived but left the keys on the door and I was able o talk to her about this the next morning but she was clearly unsympathetic which I think is unfortunate because our room itself was excellent - the best room in any of the places we stayed in during our visit to France.

There’s a hotel car park, but it does have a height restriction. We have an x5 with bikes on the roof and couldn’t get under. But there’s a free car park literally opposite. There’s a hotel car park, but it does have a height restriction. We have an x5 with bikes on the roof and couldn’t get under. But there’s a free car park literally opposite. High Hidden Fees & Missing Amenities
I will first start out by saying this hotel is in an amazing location, which is why there are a lot of hidden fees. I say hidden because the breakdown of the total cost was very odd. My nightly rate was $143.47, which did not include $38.93 in other service fees. My total was $182.40 excluding the 3.30 Euros in city tax that is normal. My rate included breakfast yet when I checked in, the front desk clerk said my rate didn't include it even after she \"looked up\" my reservation. The # 1 reason we selected the hotel was, because under main amenities they had \"Self-Service Laundry\" listed. My wife was happy, because we could wash our 14-month old's clothes midway through our road trip. I looked all over the property and there was not a laundry. The next morning the owner said the machines were in the garage. He directed me to bring my clothes down and he would do my 2 loads. Upon checkout, I saw a charge of 24 Euros in laundry fees. I told the lady at the desk I refused to pay that as Hotels.com listed \"Self-Service Laundry as a main amenity. She said that was a mistake and it was not her fault how it was listed. After having me wait for almost an hour while on the phone she took the charges off. That same morning, I showed the owner that my reservation included breakfast and again there was conversation on the phone. This hotel is great for its location and they helped us with freezing & heating my son’s food, but when it came to money their attitude completely changed.

I was very surprised to find 2 sets of ear plugs in the room, on my first night I found out why they were there. This is the noisiest room I have ever stayed in, every noise from other rooms could be heard and loudly!
When the room was cleaned the next morning the cake of soap was still on the floor of the shower when I returned.

Really is a motel, two stories with outside entrance. Difficult to carry 2 large suitcases up the stairs. Mostly unilingual staff but expected. Room was large, clean but motel like. Bit noisy to exterior cars, they provided ear plugs. Breakfast ok, European like. This was a last minute one night stay with not a lot of choice in a small village so my complaints are few. It was a large room that was very clean and cared by a family like owners.

The perfect place to stay to explore the beaches of the Normandy landings (we went for D-Day and it was ace!) as its in a central position. Easy walking distance (3-5mins) to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. Fab continental breakfast, accommodating hosts, on-site car parking. Its hard to find a single fault...

Nice hotel/motel very well placed for touring the D-Day Beaches. It's only a very short walk to the town centre shops and restaurants. The car park is very small with very little space to maneuver into the narrow parking bays yet you will be charged to park your car there. We used the free car park on the other side of the road.

This is your typical motel. Everything was very clean, but the floors are all tile, which can be cold and slippery depending on the weather. It's right on the edge of the town, and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was decent.

We stayed in a two bedroom family suite which was well furnished and immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable and in well proportioned rooms and the bathroom was both enormous and spotlessly clean. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Parking was good and the hotel is located within 5 minutes walk of the major attractions.

This hotel looked like it had been recently renovated. It was centrally located to the town of Arromanches and was a short distance from the American Cemetery and Omaha Beach. The staff was very friendly and fluent in English and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast which was included with our room was a sufficient French style breakfast. My only complaint would be that we had poor wifi service in our room as it was pretty far from the office everything else was great and appropriate for what we paid.
