L'emplacement est super. L'hotel offre un excellent petit déjeuner de qualité. Par contre, notre chambre était usée, le frigo en panne ( nous l'avons dit le premier jours) et la salle de bain sale sur le
Mur autour de la toilette et du ruban adhésif autour de la poignée de la chambre. La literie était confortable par ailleurs.

The property exactly met expectations. Clean and comfortable, with a great location.

I was here on Friday night, which meant on Saturday morning I was able to peruse the delightful farmers market outside the door and then walk 3 minutes over to the Chateau and have a picnic. I cannot imagine a more lovely way to spend a Saturday morning.

Staff variable - excellent, helpful and super friendly lady at breakfast/ bar in the morning, but bar man the night before was drinking beer and didn’t seem as responsive to guests as I would like. Man at reception treated us like 2nd class guests… not sure if because we arrived by bike or booked by Expedia. Totally different to what we found in other hotels in the area on our cycle trip.

We stayed just one night, visiting Rambouillet for an event which had its reception at the Mercure. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The more senior front-line staff were excellent. Some of the younger ones needed more training -- maybe just a matter of time. Good value. The \"express\" breakfast is much cheaper than the full version.

Unfortunately a wee bit disappointed in this hotel, we arrived after a long days driving, badly timed as we coincided with a large coach group arrival which really harassed the young man on reception, hopefully he's not always so rude. We didn't get the room that we had booked but after some negotiation with this receptionist he reluctantly sorted it out for us although the shower over the bath was too deep and slippy for my elderly mother to risk having a shower.
Parking is in a public car park opposite the hotel, keep an eye on your hours, it's not always available.
I had spent hours online trying to find a hotel with a restaurant that was open on a Sunday night and had booked weeks in advance, we were really looking forward to our evening meal however on querying the hours we were told it was booked out for the coach party, this was so disappointing and the receptionist was of no help unfortunately.
I asked restaurant advice from the very friendly and helpful young lady in the bar and was informed they did bar food!, we had a meat and cheese platter which was excellent, however the bar closed at 9pm despite signs saying it was open till 11pm.
This hotel was okay for our overnight stay but I don't think I'll be using it again.

Nice hotel, overlooking the chateau and market place. There is no parking attached to the hotel but most days you can park free overnight in the market place.
The restaurant had a vegetarian option on the menu and we paid for breakfast which was varied and plentiful.
The rooms were a decent size, and clean. Staff had varying standards of English but were all friendly and helpful.

I usually stay at the Mercure in Rambouillet which is not far away but it was fully booked that night. This hotel by comparison was very poor, the rooms reminded me of an Ibis and I booked a superior room. The staff were students I think and there was only one on duty eating his dinner. The restaurant and bar were shut.

We arrived early for our stay and the staff made an effort to get us into our room quickly. After an lovely cafe in the lobby we were in our room in no time! This property is located next to a beautiful chateau and gardens where we walked and enjoyed the ambiance on a sunny fall day. Merci!

Great hotel well located next to Park and Château

We were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and the great location. Lots of places to eat within a short walk and the beautiful château and park less than 50 meters away. Parking is available directly opposite the hotel and in the surrounding streets.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed our stay, but not this time. The general internal condition of the hotel is looking tired and requires re-decorating. The cleanliness of the hotel needs looking at, on our arrival, there was food spilt on the landing floor which was still there on our departure, with no attempt to clean it up. We ate in the restaurant on the evening of our stay and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. My main course was described as a quality steak, when it arrived it was a cold piece of tough meat laid on a bed of mashed potatoes with no accompaniments such as a few vegetables, sauce or even some salad (awful). My wife's Mackerel dish was equally poor, being grey, cold and \"swimming\" in a sea of water which was supposed to be ratatouille. Breakfast was equally as bad, with the milk for the coffee being off, the coffee cold and the scrambled eggs looking like they had been brought back from the previous day. We wont be staying again...........!

This is a great town and the hotel is situated adjacent to a splendid and vast park with a chateau in the grounds. The ideal spot to stop when driving down through France. The hotel has friendly staff and all amenities are as you would expect from Mercure. It is dog friendly and an ideal stop with the park across the road.

This was our third visit to the hotel and it is an excellent place to stay being central in the town and right by the chateau. Restaurant provided a very good evening meal for a party of 14 people.

Lovely position next to chateau and park. Really appreciated being able to borrow bikes for free from hotel to go cycling in the forest. Only slight drawback being on ground floor (Room 6) was noise in the morning due to conference gathering at end of corridor.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Amenities were good and internet was fairly fast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The only drawback is that if you are travelling by car you have no place to park overnight for two different days of the week as the parking is a public parking lot and it is used for a marketplace. Not really a great inconvenience but one should be aware of this before you get towed away. The hotel has plenty of warning signs but you have to read them!

This was a perfect overnight stop on our way to the Vendee. The hotel was really nice and a lovely location, though you have to use the public car park it's right outside the hotel. We booked a \"suite\" for 2 adults and 2 teenage children, to be honest the accommodation was a little basic, but fine for what we needed. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel restaurant was shut but we found a lovely creperie (Le Phare St Jacques I think it was called) a few minutes stroll away.

My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel. The lady on the desk was courteous, friendly and spoke perfect English. The double room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. The hotel is situated close to the chateau and gardens, just off the main street which has some very nice shops, bars and restaurants. In the evening we dined with friends at ‘L'Orangerie des Trois Roys’, which is just around the corner, and enjoyed it very much. Although there is no parking at the hotel, there is a car park just across the street which cost about 5 euros a day. A very pleasant stopover and we definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely Hotel - Beautiful old building - completely refurbished inside. Rooms were very well appointed and modern with comfortable beds and excellent showers. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. They spoke a little English which, with our limited French we were OK. Location is superb - right next to the Chateau and ample free parking across the road, although it is only free at weekends. There is a market there during the week but the hotel do advertise this widely and in English. We didn't eat in the hotel but found a lovely restaurant about 2 minutes stroll away and we did pass others as we drove in so eating out would not be a problem. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel. It isn't the cheapest but we did get an excellent deal through Hotels.com and I would dsay for the standard of hotel it does represent good value.

This hotel was beautiful and is about 2 minutes from a wonderful chateaux. This was a real surprise for our overnight stop on the way to Calais. Food was very limited as most of the area was closed for the summer and the hotels food wasn't great.

This is a high end Mercure and it seems more luxurious that typical Mercure / Novotels. The building looks older, however the hotel is quite modern, very good size room and big bathroom, and comfortable bed. Hotel service was very good. Breakfast was quite lavish with plenty of choice and offering hot food (although pre-prepared). It is well located in the main restaurant / tourist precinct and opposite the Chateau and park. No onsite parking, however there is a large carpark over the road (be careful that it is not a market day next day - check with the hotel) or street parking nearby. Overall excellent.

Nice large standard room, we had top floor room facing garden, nice quiet room. pity bathroom only had a shower though. Staff very helpfu and friendly. Breakfast buffet pretty basic but fine.......Watchout for pay car park opposite. On friday evenings they start assembling the market stalls ready for saturday.....car will be towed away if left after 8pm !

Superb hotel, very friendly and helpful staff and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Recommend the house vin blanc, it's delicious. The room was excellent, very clean and big for a town centre hotel. The location is good and parking straightforward on nearby public car park. The staff gave excellent guidance regarding the Saturday morning issue with the market setting up in town hall car park opposite the hotel and we had no difficulty in this respect.

We had an la excellent large room and bathroom. Staff very helpful, copious buffet breakfast but a bit pricey at 14 euros for standard of food. Although the carpark opposite is a pay and display and not available twice a week for markets, there is free parking in the grounds of the chaeau only 5 mins walk away, and helpful staff will direct you to it. I can thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Great Hotel, Pretty Town

Excellent hotel, service was perfect. Room very comfortable. Hotel breakfast was great and included eggs, bacon, sausage and a fresh orange juice maker as well as the usual European fare. Location was great - right in the middle of town next to the Chateau and at the end of the main street with lots of shopping. Saturday is market day, so limited parking available - but fun to walk around and see all the French wares.

Town is very pretty and had beautiful Christmas lights.

We stayed here on our way to Paris. Was a great hotel and just across the street from the Chateau. Even if you don't tour the Chateau itself, walk through the beautiful gardens.
The hotel was clean and had great, modern bathrooms. The staff was attentive to our requests and were very courteous. The only negative is that the hotel offered breakfast at 14 euros/person which was a bit pricey for what you got. I would suggest stopping at a local boulangerie for pastries and coffee and saving a few euros.

The Mercure in Rambouillet

We stayed here last weekend as a stopover on our way back to the ferrry at Calais. The hotel is lovely - very friendly staff who speak very good English, very comfortable beds, pillows etc and bang in the middle of the town.
And easy parknig across the road, but you have to pay on a Saturday until 7pm ( only 1 euro an hour though and free on Sunday).
We will use the hotel again!

Le Mercure Rambouillet

This hotel was situated in the centre of this beautiful French town only a few hundred yards from a castle surrounded by acres of gardens, small lakes and lovely walking paths through magnificent trees. Step out of your hotel and travel the other direction and you can stroll the main street of Rambouillet and visit patisseries and shops and twice weekly markets that make you know you have stepped into a French fairytale. Unbelievable place. Only a ten minute walk from the train that can take you to Paris, Versailles, Chartres or anywhere you wish to go.

Qualite de l hebergement mais unnpetit dejeuner loin du concept Mercure. Je suis arrive a 8h05 et j avais l impression qu un ouragan etait passe. Difficulté d avoir une table propre le buffet avec beaucoup de manques ( fromage jambon yoghourt ...) durant les 15 mns de mon petit dej pas ame qui vive afin de verifier le buffet et debarasser les tables ...lors de mon intervention a la reception pour signaler 1 jeune employe m a pris de haut et m a repondu qu il etait seul et avait eu un groupe de 70 personnes. En quoi suis je responsable de cela et pourquoi n aurais je pas une prestation identique aux autres personnes le tout en payany 19.5€ ? Il a continué a me tenir tête au lieu de s excuser. Lorsque je suis redescendu 15 mns plus tard il etait toujours en train de discutet avec sa collegue et la salle dans le meme etat. Pourquoi la direction n a pas prevu plus qu une personne sachant qu il y avait un groupe important ? La formation Accord n apprend pas que lorsqu un cluent est mecontent d une prestation on se tait et on s excuse ? Pour info c etait jeudi 13 fevrier. Cordialement

Je suis toujours content quand je reviens à Rambouillet et surtout à l’hôtel. Mais le problème de parking !!!!!!. La ville organise chaque fois des événements qui empêchent les gens d’arriver à l’hôtel.

Bien situé , juste à côté du château ! personnel agréable rendant service. Attention, il n’y a pas de parking gratuit à proximité. Les parkings sont tous payants aux alentours. De plus, attention aussi, la grande place de la mairie juste à côté se transforme en place de marché et rend tout stationnement impossible le vendredi soir et samedi toute la journée. et si le responsable du restaurant de l’hôtel ne m’avait pas prévenu, ma voiture partait à la fourrière !
Le buffet du petit déjeuner était parfait et très achalandé de plusieurs produits différents .

I stayed in this hotel many years ago and it was magnificent, nowadays it has all gone down. The rooms, the furniture, the bathrooms, the upholstery, the towels... are old and it shows, one of our towels had a hole in it and you could see through parts of them. There were no ammenities watsoever. Definitely a let down.

Service could be improved

Could have been better, could be refurbished a bit, but overall, that was clean and bed comfortable. Service was really what I did not like. From a questionable check in with person telling me very naively, we will change your room tomorrow, not offering help to carry luggages or offering upgrade, to a check out where we were « forced » to pay taxes at 11pm, while it could have been done with check out day after (I still do not get it), or the restaurant asking us 1 out of 10 whether we wanted something or ignoring us completely that we had to go to another one, or even at breakfast, when for 45min, no table were cleaned up after rush hour and people ended up not having a clean place to seat. Definitely an improvement possible on that aspect. Rarely got such a bad service like this.
