chambre spacieuse mais impersonnelle, apparemment il est normal de n'avoir préparé qu'une serviette et d'aller chercher dans les placards une 2e serviette quand on est 2 personnes à occuper la chambre (jamais vu çà ailleurs !).
la salle de bains mériterait d'avoir un eclairage au dessus du miroir. La piscine n'est ouverte que quelques heures par jour aux clients de l'hotel, sinon reservé pour le spa Sothys. Comme Sothys est fermé le dimanche, pourquoi ne pas ouvrir la piscine toute la journée ?

What a quaint little town! Maintenon is a wonderful spot to visit that has this fabulous hotel. Situated right next to Chateau de Maintenon, it’s easy walking to great outdoor cafes, restaurants, and a pretty park. The hotel itself is lovely. Great staff, delicious food at the restaurant, indoor pool with outdoor lounging area, and an amazing spa.

We booked this hotel as it had EV chargers on arrival we were informed that the chargers had all be removed and when I asked if I could connect to an electrical socket in the underground car park I was categorically told no and that there were NO EV charging facility in this hotel. When we ask to book the restaurant we were told that no food was served on Mondays. BTW there were no local restaurant opened either. All together a terrible experience.

Do not do business with this property. I was reserving three rooms for my traveling group however by the time I went to reserve the third room it was no longer available. I immediately called the hotel to ask if it was Ok to cancel and get a refund (non-refundable) since they could not accommodate. The man I spoke with said yes but I have to call Expedia so they can process the refund. After weeks of back and forth they eventually denied my refund. They also repeatedly pretended they couldn't speak English whenever I called. I even had my manager who is French call them. I was lied to so I do not recommend doing business with them. This kind of behavior alludes to desperate business practices so there is no telling what they might do in other circumstances. Absolutely unacceptable, rude, and not a place I will ever book again.

The staff at Castle Maintenon was second to none. Absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom leaves something to be desired (it was dim so hard to apply the makeup). I would stay here again.

A good stopover en route to the Alps

I stayed at Castel Maintenon on my way down to the Alps. It’s about a three hour drive from Dieppe and around six hours to Geneva.

I used the spa and had my evening meal in the hotel. There was a good value menu de jour - no chioce but the food was good.

The room was comfortable and spacious but the air conditioning couldn’t be turned off and there was also quite a lot of ‘plumbing’ noise next to my room during the night.

A peaceful and luxury stay close to the Castle

Wonderful hotel, very beautiful the warm pool and the sauna, we had a terrific time in Maintenon, peaceful and rich of cultural suggestions. The hotel is close to the wonderful castle and offers discount tickets for visiting. I will come back for sure!

Nice hotel - a few shortcomings

Good location and friendly staff. Let down a bit by lack of stand up shower in the room and somewhat unfinished pool area. Also we were not told we could not get food at the hotel as we had no dinner reservation and our only real option was to drive 20 mins to Chartres

A wonderful new hotel

This brand new hotel is amazing. Our room was a triple room and it was very spacious. The bathroom was fantastic too. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast was great. The landscaping is still to be finished off but did not affect our stay one bit. We did not use the pool but it looked lovely. We got tickets from reception to visit the castle next door which has a lovely garden and walkway along the river.

Le personnel est très souriant. Mais cela ne fait pas tout le service : en 2025, pas de prise électrique et le personnel vous envoie vers une borne de recharge qui… ne fonctionne pas. La préfecture leur aurait interdit d’utiliser des prises externes… bon et l’évier bouché ça fait sale pour un 4*. Les alentours sont magnifiques. Il fait trop chaud dans la chambre. On ne teviendra pas.

Nous étions de passage à Maintenon et avons séjourné au Mercure Hôtel de Maintenon.
L’hôtel est superbe : la chambre spacieuse, très propre, le lit extrêmement confortable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et le hammam, très agréables après une journée de route. Le personnel est accueillant et attentionné.
Nous avons également dîné au restaurant de l’hôtel : le repas était délicieux, bravo au chef !

Seul petit bémol : le robinet de la baignoire laisse couler plus qu’un simple filet d’eau lorsque l’on utilise le pommeau de douche, ce qui est dommage d’un point de vue écologique.

Dans l’ensemble, une très belle adresse que nous recommandons vivement ! 🌿

Piscine intérieure

Une piscine intérieure accessible uniquement de 20h à 22h le samedi et le dimanche de 8h à 10h. Entre manger et se détendre il faut choisir sinon l accès à la piscine est payant.
Et quand vous avez l accès pendant deux heures, vous retrouvez tout l hôtel, il est inutile de penser pouvoir s allonger sur l un des 8 transats !
C est dommage et cela gâche un peu le séjour.

Séjour agréable, chambre moderne et confortable… dommage qu’en ayant payé un supplément pour une chambre deluxe, nous nous retrouvions au-dessus de la descente de garage et en face des poubelles…
Le petit déjeuner n’est pas des plus travaillé : le buffet assez vide, là aussi assez dommage

Impossible de charger son véhicule électrique

Globalement l’établissement est satisfaisant,
Par contre ne pas pouvoir charger notre véhicule électrique au sein de l’établissement 4 étoiles est juste incohérent. On nous a dit d’aller charger notre tesla sur la place du village.
Cet aspect est à revoir …mon mari a dû la charger 2 heures sur la place du village et se relever vers 00h pour la rentrer de nouveau dans le parking de l’hôtel.

Encore un agréable séjour.

3e séjour dans cet hôtel agréable et bien situé. nous avions apprécié malgré les petits défauts et sommes revenus pour constater avec plaisir qu'ils avaient été rectifiés. On a aimé l'amabilité du personnel, à l'accueil, au bar, dans les chambres à la propreté irréprochable. On n'a pu s'empêcher de constater que la terrasse à laquelle on accède depuis la piscine n'était pas aussi bien entretenue. par ailleurs, à quoi bon afficher une politique de préservation de l'environnement concernant le linge de toilette si c'est pour changer systématiquement toutes les serviettes ?

Bien mais déçu...

Lors de notre arrivée, on nous annonce que la piscine est en maintenance mais qu'elle sera ouverte le lendemain. Hors celle-ci resta fermée. Quelle déception pour nos enfants.
Autrement la chambre était grande et le petit déjeuner varié.
Nous sommes mitigés sur la recommandation de cet établissement.
