Very clean hotel and friendly staff. The hotel is over the road from the old city wall and the centre is 5 minutes walk away. We had breakfast here twice, and there was a good choice of cereals, fruit, meat, eggs, cheese, and even spaghetti! Rolls and croissants were also available. The room didn't have air-conditioning, which was needed as it was hot. The shower was lovely. I would recommend taking your own pillow, as both of ours were lumpy and uncomfortable. Otherwise, a perfect stay.

It’s nice enough but very basic, and sadly very dated no desk as such just what seems to be an extended window sill with a folding kitchen chair ? Also not very roomy struggled to exercise in my room of a morning as it was quite tight quarters I had expected usb plug sockets which seem to be a standard in nearly all hotels I have stayed in, but nope. Take an adapte. no kettle in the room was also a first for me, rooms are okay if you are just there to sleep but don’t really lend themselves to spending time in them but super clean and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Central to town and could walk pretty much everywhere in the city so well situated. Parking is also tight and was an extra cost which I again I wasn’t aware of ? Possibly my own fault €10 per day

Very hot with no climatisation but when window opens very noise from the street. No hand towel and pillow for the child ready on the room. Extra bed in the room but you need to pay for it which is not clear on the website.
Not enough towels in the bathroom which needs renovating anyway. Could it closed the doors properly from the shower when in it. Expensive car park to for a hotel car parks.

Ibis Every Time

I normally stay at the Ibis in Paderborn 2 or 3 times a year. It is just a couple of minutes walk into the town centre via Kissau and has bars/restaurants in the area. Hotel has private car park for €6 per night and even underground secure car park if requested. I travelled by motorcycle for this visit and was able to use the underground car park. Standard of hygiene and staff service is absolutely excellent. Breakfast can be purchased at €11 but I personally prefer to walk into town and chose from many different cafes & bars etc. My favourite is the Deutsche Haus literally across the road on Kissau. No doubt there may be 'better' hotels in Paderborn but I doubt any could match the quality and value of the Ibis. I have booked again for December with my family. As far as I'm concerned, whenever I visit Paderborn it's a Ibis every time.

This was my first visit (1 week hol) to the hotel. The hotel is located on Paderborn's main ring road, traffic very heavy all day & into the night noisy too. The hotel staff are very slow to serve you. The rooms are quite small but very clean.

Great location.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. The bed was very comfortable, as was the room in general. We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good range of options. The only problem we had was the room had no air conditioning, and the noise outside ruled out opening the window, so in the hot weather we had, we lost some sleep.

I booked this hotel because all others in downtown Paderborn were full. When I arrived the room reeked of smoke (non-smoking room) and there were boogers in the sink. I called the front desk to ask for another room, but nothing was available. They offered to come in and \"spray something\" but were not able to help otherwise. The bed seemed clean, but was basically a futon mattress with an extra pad on top.

Staff spoke English and that was really great as it made communication easy. Room was tidy - provision was basic - no tea and/or coffee in the rooms which meant you had to go down to get it - not very convenient. No room service - again it meant you had to go to reception to get things. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will still go again as it was centralised.

recommendation is good

we were visiting our daughter and we went sightseeing and hired a car so the car park was very good addition to the hotel facilities. The seating was small/tightly packed in the bedroom but bathroom good and very clean. The location in Paderborn was very good, close to bus stops and only short walk into main shops with bars/cafes and restaurants/parks. The staff were excellent when we needed to use the computer to print out our boarding passes after checking in on-line and there was no charge! we were able to leave our luggage behind the desk at any time and all staff were friendly and spoke good english. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family too.

Booked twin room believing this tp be 2 seperate single beds devided by bedside cabinets and space between. No such thing. They believe that 2 beds pushed together having a single quilt each makes it a twon bed room. Don't go there of you don't want to get cosy with whom ever you intent to share the room. Hardly any space to move/turn round. However, the night reception person was great at his job checking us in and serving food and drinks. But wont use this hotel again On any of pour future visits.

Good hotel in a convenient location

We stayed for 2 nights in order to attend a ceremony at the British Army base which would be around a 20-25 minute walk away. The hotel was everything you expect from an Ibis, small rooms but very clean, very comfortable beds and good shower. We had 2 rooms, one at the end of a corridor and one near the lift but both were very quiet. Breakfast was self-service and catered for every taste and is served from 6am to 11.30. There is also a small bar area. There is free Wifi which worked well. The hotel is a short stroll from the town centre with plenty of bars and restaurants within short walking distance and a convenience store which was open late. The German market was brilliant and the cathedral also worth a visit (both a 10 min walk away). The staff were helpful and all spoke English. Will almost certainly be visiting Paderborn again and would definitely go back to the Ibis.

Night in paderborn

Having once lived in the area I knew exactly what to expect from paderborn. The hotel though was quite a surprise as I have stayed in a number of ibis hotels in the past with very mixed reviews. This hotel however was a delight the staff were very accommodating the rooms were fresh and clean. I was so impressed I decided to extend my stay rather than stay with a friend.

Basic hotel very close to the city centre.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of Paderborn city centre. It has limited underground parking and accepts dogs, both of which are extra. The room and en suite are very small and the temperature was stifling. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and most speak good English. Its position does make it quite noisy at night. If you want a relaxing stay this is not the hotel for you. However, if you just need a base with easy access to Paderborn The Ibis is perfect.

Great Location, slow free wifi

The room is bit small but still comfortable. I liked the 70+ HD channels on the flat tv. The free internet is sometimes very slow making it impossible to use. Breakfast is not included and costs 10 Euro but really worth it. Overall this is a nice hotel, in walking distance to city center and historical sites.

Die Lage am Rand der Innenstadt ist gut. Tiefgarage für's sichere Abstellen des Bikes. Bett bequem, überschaubare Zimmergröße und Größe des Bades - für 1 Perskn okay, aber als Doppelzimmer wäre es für 2 Personen zu klein. Frühstücksbüfett mit durchschnittlicher Qualität, Rührei virhanden, aber ausschließlich mit Würstchen (bzw. Würstchen und Minifrikadellen am Sonntag), aber leider kein krosser Bacon. Hotbar mit zivilen Preisen.
