Just what we had hoped for.

We chose to stay at this hotel while visiting family. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is probably the cleanest I have ever seen among similar 4 Star hotels. The food was exceptional and there was plenty of it. On-site parking was a bonus. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to our next stay.

Peaceful's night stay

Spent one night and arrived later than planned, so we barely saw this hotel in the daytime, but it served us well for the night. The room & bed were comfortable and had enough space for us. There was a nice view from the window facing the back of the hotel, which was quite peaceful in the morning. Didn't have breakfast there. The area was nice and quiet, and there are restaurants within about 10 min walk. Very nice place.

This is a modern hotel built in 2007 to the highest standards. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped (note: no kettle) with nice linen, an excellent shower with plenty of room. A first for us was the fact that we heard absolutely no noise from people in the corridor/next door rooms nor indeed and plumbing noises from neighbouring rooms. The shower room had a heated tile flooring and the room was warm with windows that could be easily opened. Breakfast was a first rate hel-yourself affair with a great selection of continental foods meat, cheeses, serials, fruits etc. I recommend this hotel without reservation as a great place to stay. 5 stars all round.

Wow!! What a great hotel! If you are visiting Paderborn...STAY HERE!!
The best breakfast/fruhstuck buffet we have ever had in Europe! Great staff and super super clean!! The only thing is it’s a few kms out of the centre of Patterborn, but because of this, it’s extra quiet! I definitely would recommend, very good value for what you pay.

I chose this for location and it met my business needs. The hotel was very friendly, with English speaking staff, it was very clean in all areas. I ate in the restaurant every evening and the food was always very good and reasonably priced, the breakfast offered a variation. The parking is free and part of the hotel and there is ample space.

Ideal for working at Sennelager base.

Really very good and friendly. Bus outside the door to Paderborn or train station again to Paderborn 100 yards away. Parking. Some rooms air conditioned i.e. the even numbers at the front. Don't hear the road at all. Hire a bike. Restaurant sl pricy but very good and a good breakfast in the morning. It is the combination of the newness / cleanliness and staff friendliness that make it. I was supposed to be staying at the officers mess at the Sennelager base but it was squalid so came here. Like Buckingham Palace in comparison. The cost is really very reasonable. Thanks

Book for only short stay

If its going to be a short stay, then book it. It is a bit far from the center and you have to walk about 15 minutes to the bus stop (35-40 minutes to get to downtown). Housekeeping doesnt do a good job. They dont make the beds or refurish the towels. We stayed during the fall & its a bit chilly outside. Room heaters werent working & rooms were like an ice box. Id recommend only for a short stay.

I have stayed in the hotel before on previous business trips. The hotel is very clean, well maintained, comfortable and good value for money. There are no fancy finishes or state of the art facilities but you get a very nice, clean well maintained room. Everything where it should be. Excellent shower. The food is very nice and reasonably priced. Wine and beer also good. If passing through on a tour of the area then a great place to stop over. Quiet surrounds

Beautiful Little Hotel

I love staying here. It is an old converted farmhouse and has a typical nice German feel to it. My only complaint is having to log in to the WiFi with a different code every day and the fact that there is absolutely no English TV channels to watch. Overall though it is a great little hotel with a nice little restaurant and is very close to everything you would need in Paderborn.

I was very impressed with the design and comfort of the Hotel. The staff was very nice and personable. My only comment for improvement is with the quality (or style) of the pillows. This was unusual. i.e 1 very small pilow and one large under-stuffed pillow. Otherwise I loved the hotel.

A very pleasant experience

I booked this hotel on the strengh of reviews read on the internet and was not disappointed. It was excellent in every respect and was well-run with staff who could talk to us in English. They were helpful, courteous and well-trained. Our breakfast was the usual buffet fare, but beautifully presented with component parts of very good quality. The dining room was bright, airy and spacious. Our daughter will be living locally for some time and we will be more than happy to return to Waldhotel Nachtigall.

Well run family hotel with a friendly feel. Modern rooms with all usual facilities, clean and comfortable. Wide choice from buffet breakfast with special requests possible. Very efficient and helpful receptionist made checking out easy. Location is good for local services and a short journey to Paderborn.

Der Service am Empfang entspricht eher dem Hostel und nicht einem Sterne Hotel. Die Lage ist wirklich schön und ruhig, dabei ist das Hotel gut angebunden. Das Frühstück war o.k.. aber nicht wirklich lecker.

Mooi hotel, typisch Duitse stijl.
Ruime kamer, jammer van de vloerbekleding.
Propere en ruime badkamer, een betere mengkraan is aan te raden in de douche daar de verhoging van het waterdebiet ook een heel sterke verhoging van de temperatuur betekend.
Er is een bar en een ruim restaurant, COVID maatregelen worden strikt gevolgd door het personeel.
Lekker ontbijt, snel uitchecken en vriendelijk personeel.

Net en comfortabel hotel, mooi gelegen aan een doorgaande weg. De parkeercapaciteit op de bestrate parkeerplaats is beperkt. Het grote parkeerterrein is door de gravel die er ligt, ongeschikt voor motorrijders.

Gelukkig was de receptioniste erg flexibel en mocht ik mijn motor ‘illegaal’ parkeren.

Lobby ist nur bis 22Uhr besetzt, kostenlose Parkplätze, sauberes Zimmer, Rewe Supermarkt um die Ecke. Zimmer würde ich eher einem 3 Sterne Hotel zuordnen.
TV ziemlich veraltet.
Absolutes No Go für mich, ist das furchtbar langsame Internet. Alleine das Laden der Google Maps Seite hat 40 Sek. gebraucht. Da ich noch arbeiten musste, habe ich mir notgedrungen mit dem Handy einen Hotspot gegeben. Sorry Leute, aber im Jahr 2019 sollte doch mal funktionierendes Internet drinnen sein. Ich reise weltweit und verstehe nicht, warum das in Russland, China, Thailand, Vietnam etc. super funktioniert, aber in einer Industrienation wie Deutschland nicht? Wenn ich beruflich unterwegs bin, ist schlechtes Internet ein Grund, ein Hotel nicht noch einmal zu besuchen.

Obwohl schon lange existent, bietet dieses Hotel einen guten Standard.
Renovierungsstau ist nicht erkennbar.
Es ist alles gepflegt und sauber, incl. Aussenanlagen, lediglich die vielen Kunstblumen/-pflanzen (innen) wirken etwas antik.
Das Frühstück ist passabel, als nach mehr als fünf Minuten am Tisch sitzend nach dem Kaffee gefragt wird, bekommt man zur Antwort: der muss erst noch kochen, und das gegen acht Uhr in der Früh...

Ruhig aber trotzdem zentral gelegen

Das Hotel hat idyllisches Flair, mit Garten, vielen Büschen und Bäumen und großem Parkplatz. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich mit gutem Bett und auch das Frühstück ist sehr gut angerichtet mit guter Qualität und Auswahl. Es gibt eine Wellness-Abteilung mit Sauna etc. die aber nicht genutzt wurde.Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
