Just annoying wee things really … room was late for handover (20mins ), no milks in room and receptionist was as charming as the icy weather outside …. That said , it was a great price @£75 with the dog and room in Annex was a good size and pet friendly , large comfy bed .would defo stay again as location is brilliant

Staff were fantastic couldn’t fault them,now the bathroom was the problem sharp broken tile as you enter the room mould on the tiles all around the room sink that didn’t want to drain and it would bubble up with chunks of black gunk so very unhygienic to say the least,it was the first time we have stayed here and definitely the last.we have eat here on numerous occasions over the past ten years.also have pictures and videos if required

The staff at this hotel are great. The young lady that waits in the restaurant is superb, the duty manager has a lovely manner with customers and the gentleman that sorts out the breakfast on a morning is a delight to speak to!

Was not very sure of the woman in reception, was not the most pleasant. I was running an ultra marathon that weekend and when I asked what time breakfast was on, was told there would be none which is most disappointing as I had paid for it, no refund offered, so had to go to the local co-op for food in the morning. The last time I stayed there, they put on a breakfast for all the runners and as most of the people staying there were runners, was most disappointed.

The rooms had all been refurbished since I was last there and at least this time, there was hot water. Had food in the hotel which was really nice and reasonable.

There was no one on check out the next day and managed to find the woman who had check me in, again, just leave the key there.

The location of the hotel was good but don't think I'd stay there again.

We had a great couple of nights here. We booked room only however after realising the quality of the food, we booked breakfasts and evening meals. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the hotel as a really warm feel about it - especially when you’re sat next to the log fire.
This was our first visit and it won’t be our last!

Receptionists on arrival and departure very obliging and helpful giving my wife and I an upgraded room as there was one available. All staff polite and made sure all was to our satisfaction. Dinner menu was such that there was a good choice, all reasonably priced and cooked / presented to a high standard. Likewise for breakfast. Good touring base and would recommend.

Best curry I’ve ever had. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Great locations and really easily accessible. Parking is a little tricky as it’s a very popular venue and I can see why. Food is incredible.

Lovely outlook by the river in a small village. Attentive staff . Good food . Had a single room which had no window- only a skylight. No ventilation - room very stuffy. Bathroom lovely decor but shower cubicle very small . A larger person(I’m a size 10) would struggle to close the cubicle door.However enjoyed my stay apart from that .

Killin Hotel was a nice place to stay. In a most stunning location. Just the fact you have to book a table to eat was a problem. I booked the room at 5 in the afternoon. When I got there at 6 I was told I couldn't eat because I hadn't booked a table. Then asked if I could eat food in my room instead and was told No. They did eventually make a plan For me wich I appreciated. I understand the hotel restaurant serves the locals and outside visitors aswell. But I would suggest keeping some tables open for late check ins. Also restaurant only had 2 staff serving bar and tables. Guests were queing at the bar only to be ignored by the staff behind the bar pouring drinks for table guests. They could work on there customer service. Just a smile and ill be with you in a moment would have been better than been unacknowledged and ignored. Other than that the room was very comfortable and house keeping do a great job at keeping them clean. Thank you for having me. Hope next time food and drinks service will be better.

Great location. All staff we interacted with were friendly and so helpful. The person on reception seamed to be doing the job of 3 people when we arrived, but she was still so lovely and couldnt do enough for us.
We stayed in the annex family room with our 8 month old as we thought that would help with noise. Unfortunately every floorboard creaked, the bed was incredibly squeaky, and the bathroom door needed a lot of WD40. Worth keeping in mind if travelling with a baby. Could do with a little refresh but was clean nonetheless.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Killin Hotel on route to the Highlands. Super friendly staff who were all helpful. Nice atmosphere. Good evening meals. We had one double room which was good and a single room which was a bit basic but clean + tidy. A good place to stay.

Staff very friendly however room given (annex 5) VERY noisy. Next to fans and area where glass bins are for the bar etc. Walls paper thin and floors squakiest i've ever heard. Unfortunately, you will hear every conversation upstairs guests and those through the wall have.

The property serves a wonderful purpose of being in the middle of the highlands with a great deal of places to see nearby. The beds ran a bit small, and the hotel is, as most of Scotland a bit aged and full of stairways, but the staff was eager to please and I would certainly recommend.

Overnight stay en route home. Room was well presented, clean and tidy. Three spoilers,
1 stairs and landings looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned for weeks.
2 Fire alarm (false alarm) went off at 00.20 and other guest said this was a regular occurrence.
3 No hot water in bathroom no matter how long I let the tap run.

Great location, nice room but a few niggles.

We were travelling as a couple with our adult daughter. The location is fabulous. The room was lovely but there was only two cups and two glasses despite booking for three, and no teaspoon. The sofa bed my daughter slep on was great however the main bed was not very comfortable and offered no support. The room was also unbearably hot overnight. We booked for breakfast which was on the whole very tasty however they had run out of tomatoes, my daughter and me had about a tablespoon of baked beans, my husband got none and I only had a half a rasher of bacon so I get the impression tomatoes weren't the only thing in short supply this morning.

Lovely relaxing few days away, staff are always so friendly and always asking if we needed anything.
The thing we love about this hotel is how dog friendly they are, dogs are welcome everywhere apart from the dining room but they have a lounge area set up with tables for dinner where the dogs are allowed in.
There was a little dog bed and a small bowl in the room with a few dog biscuits.
Food was amazing as usual.
We will def be back again 😀

Room we stayed in was very small that the door opened onto the bedroom side table, and there was only one as the room was so small. View was of the roof. Lights were not bright enough so we in semi-darkness. Bathroom was tiny and the toilet seat was broken. Internet kept going off after a few minutes as the signal was so weak. The second night the fire alarm went off for five minutes but there was no apologies or acknowledgement as we left. All in all disappointing stay.

We had booked a room with two twin beds, but upon arrival we were given a room with one double bed. We ask the receptionist if the room could be reconfigured and she said it would be fixed by housekeeping right away. We returned from our evening out at 10pm to find the room had not been reconfigured. We called the front desk with no answer. We asked at the bar looking for someone to help and eventually a staff member emerged from the bar and offered us another room on a different floor so we had to pack up and move rooms. Inconvenient and disappointing. Would otherwise have been a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed the location, including the views and the easy walk to dining and shopping in Killin. The breakfasts were good, and we had a lovely dinner here. Our room was comfortable and well laid out, but quite noisy. Reception initially put us in a room with the wrong number of beds, and the service in general seemed a bit unfocused.

The meals at night were good and staff attentive but the breakfast was poor.Porridge was lumpy and didnt tasty good. Scrambled eggs tasteless and bacon barely cooked. Hot water on counter not hot enough to make tea but luckily staff give me boiling water from kitchen.
