This was simply horrific. Arriving so late in the evening to shower get in bed and wake up to a bed covered in bugs was the worst experience. Wiping them off my personas then finding more left in the bed well was like being on I’m a celebrity get me out of here!!

An absolutely fantastic stay at a hotel a short drive from the channel Tunnel terminal. It was everything we needed, quick to check in, friendly staff, a clean spacious room and a fantastic bed for the night. The room was quiet, a fan was provided and we had a much needed night’s sleep in a very comfy bed. We were a little concerned about security and parking a car, but I would not hesitate to return, or recommend this hotel to others needing an overnight stop in Calais.

No one on the desk when we arrived. We had to go out for dinner as we couldn’t dine in due to ‘68 others’ eating in. The room was nearly 30 degrees - no air conditioning or even a fan. Bed had a thick duvet on it!!! We took it out of the cover and even then it was still hot in the room despite sleeping with the window open. On the plus side, the place was clean and ideally situated for ‘Le Shuttle’.

Greeting at reception was lovely. Super helpful and efficient. All staff said hello in passing which made us feel very welcome. A brilliant evening stop over if you arrive in France after 10pm and don’t want to drive any further. Also dog friendly. We have two cocker spaniels. Very quiet although when our dogs saw the rabbits - there are loads- they were very vocal!!

The staff are excellent and the food at dinner and breakfast really good. Excellent value for money plus gluten free bread available. It’s really close to Le Shuttle and we always stay there when returning to the UK now.

We have stayed at the hotel before and enjoyed each stay. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable with a good shower. I take my own hairdryer now as the one in the bathroom is fixed and no real power but that is the only criticism. This visit they had run out of gluten free bread but I had some with me and they forgot to switch on the egg boiler so no eggs for breakfast today. The evening meal was delicious as usual and excellent value for money. We will be back!

The hotel ticks a lot of boxes for a Calais hotel, it’s convenient for Le Shuttle, has charging points and is dog friendly with lots of places to walk to dog. Service was average we arrived early at 2pm and it was a flat NO to early check in without any effort to expidite it. I ordered drinks at the bar and the waitress was polishing cutlery she saw me but made me wait 5 mins whilst she finished the whole lot of it. Rooms were clean and well maintained.

We arrived at 2 am after a terrible journey down from Nottingham. We were greeted by a lovely night porter who checked us in quickly. Got to our room, lovely and warm, and third bed made up. Room close to entrance for a speedy exit for the dogs in the morning. Loved it.

Breakfast very good but felt evening meal a bit limited choice. Rooms excellent, we had 2 rooms and both huge walk in showers. We have stayed in Calais for more than 20 years now, sometimes for a few days shopping but mostly enroute to holiday and returning. Most times in one hotel as relatively cheap and convenient, but this hotel surprised us for the money. We will stay again

One Night at the channel Tunnel
Location was perfect close to the channel tunnel, we wanted to be in the French side, which is fortunate as the shuttle service was running behind schedule. we arrived at 01:00 local time. Great breakfast the next morning, rooms clean and comfortable.

We hadn’t realised the kitchen was closed but as we had driven so far the duty manager made an exception and made us a salad and toasted sandwich. The beds are very comfortable the rooms are large.

Good hotel, but I only wish that they could tell me when I book that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and not as in this case when we had actually sat in the restaurant. After travelling nobody wants on arrival to have to travel again to eat after they have booked in.

Hotel was fine for the price paid, staff were friendly. It's handily located for the local shopping centres, restaurants and Eurotunnel.
Bathroom was clean but needed a some minor work. The plinth under the shower tray needed replacing and the door handle was loose.
Suspect far fewer British guests stay since we were stupid enough to leave the EU. BBC TV programmes no longer work. Hotel restaurant does a three course meal but we didn't actually see a menu, either in Reception or our room. As a result we ate elsewhere.
All in all it's still fine for a night or two. We'd happily return for another stay there next time we're in the area

This hotel is probably the most wheelchair friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Wide elevator, wide spaces, long door handles, extended sink, flat nonslip floor (bathroom), grab bars in the shower and by the toilet, and a shower seat. I noticed all of this and I do not use a wheelchair. It was great to see giving the fact Europe in general isn’t so wheelchair friendly. The staff was very friendly. Delicious food was being served in the restaurant and breakfast was good. I noticed that two shopping centers were within walking distance (short drive) away from the hotel.

Very handy for the Channel Tunnel but separate to cluster of other hotels so quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff. I had an accessible room on the first floor, close to the lift, with a wet room which was ideal.Very clean and pleasant (though the shower curtain was rather grubby and could do with replacing!). Breakfast and dinner on offer. We will definitely use again.

The location adjacent to the Eurotunnel is what brought us back to this hotel, and our restaurant experience last visit had been good. This time around our room was good, clean and spacious enough though the lack of air conditioning was challenging. The restaurant experience was hit and miss, the quality of food was exceptional, but the server seemed to lack any idea of how people like to eat, there was no offer of a drink to begin with and it all seemed rather chaotic. The place seemed rather understaffed so it may have been a one-off, but I would think twice about whether I used the hotel again.
