We arrived here for a five night stay, we booked a villa next to the pool.

Check in was ok but not what we’ve come to expect in Thailand, no welcome drink or cold towel here, or even a smile.

We arrived about 45 minutes before check in time, but had to wait as our room was still being cleaned, so we waited by the pool.

The pool is good, plenty of loungers and parasols.

Our villa was ok, the bed is quite low, the pillows though are exceptionally hard. Good shower, bathroom amenities provided are quite basic, the bathroom did have a drain smell too.

We thought we’d try out the restaurant the day we arrived, we soon realised this was a mistake, I’ve never waited so long for a club sandwich and beer, and when it eventually arrived, the sandwich was half the size served in other places, this put us off using the restaurant again.

Breakfast was quite basic, others have commented that the breakfast was mainly Thai, but I don’t know anyone who eats pasta carbonara for breakfast, there is some stewed strong filter coffee, fruit, orange juice, bread for toasting, although not all the toasters are working, eggs that appear to have been fried hours ago, along with cold pancakes.
The staff aren’t particularly friendly apart from the girls cleaning the rooms, who we rewarded each morning with a small gift and a tip.
Just so others know the ‘no smoking ‘ isn’t enforced, having had our air space marred by the smoker in the villa next door as she obviously couldn’t read the sign.

For only the 2 nights, our stay was very comfortable, there was renovations going on to some rooms and had noise from power tools during the day time, however it did not disrupt too much the stay (and were pre warned before by the hotel), and would look to book this hotel when visiting again. Very accessible to the beach which was a quiet stretch of clean beach with activities as required. And walking distances to bars and restaurants.

The pool is huge and the trees and gardens around the pool are beautiful. It's a very nice area to relax at. This hotel is excellent for families with children because many of the rooms are around the pool so parents can relax on the balconies while their children play in the pool steps away.
We had to change rooms because they were having an ant problem with our first room but the rooms were very clean and the maids did a great job.
The breakfast was included with our room. The breakfast area outside is nice because it is shaded and you can see the beach across the street. The food was OK.
One area for improvement would be to have pool attendants/wait staff. There were no towels available at the pool but it was easy enough to get some from the maids. You could order a drink out by the pool but you needed to walk into the restaurant to order so most people brought their own food drink. When people bring there own food/drinks they can tend to be a bit messy.
The guy who cleaned to pool each morning did a great job and the pool was very clean.

Oasis on the waterfront

3 night get away from Bangkok was wonderful, very restful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant chef was very good. Breakfast was a buffet which was a good, varied selection. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Right across the street from the beach, and on a main road that has many shops
and restaurants to choose from. The staff are truly friendly and cater to your every need. The breakfasts were very good and flavorful. The pools are fabulous....
Very clean and refreshing. Great stretch of beach, lovely views, and plenty of things to do in this area, and the best thing about it, everything is reasonably priced, and the city is not over crowded.

All in all ok

All in all was the stay quite good.
The pools and the room are clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately was no baby bed available, but hotel.com says perfect for families with children. I came with two, but had only one kingsize bed in the room. Could be improved. The breakfast needs also improvement. It’s just average and the staff not really motivated to refill food when something running out at 9:00am.

Stayed here 10 days ago, and returned to finish holiday. Good value mid week. Great breakfast, staff and pool. Balcony is huge.
Pool is not chlorinated, but crystal clear, with great area around pool. House restaurant is a bit pricey, but very good, and there are a myriad of alternatives nearby.
Beach over the road if you get bored of still water! On site gym if you are really at a loose end.

Too many stray dogs in Cha-am

Relaxing Clean Place

We arrived at Cha Am Beach very jet lagged so it was the perfect spot to catch up on sleep, swim and tan by the pool. The area gets busy on the weekends but during the weekdays, it was nice that it was quiet. Not a very touristy place which I liked. The rooms were modern and comfy, and the pool area was the best area to relax. The restaurant was good too and a free breakfast buffet is a nice touch. Service is very good, and I would totally stay there again. About 2.5 hours from Bangkok.

Nice hotel, right across the road from the beach

Great hotel for a reasonable price. Large buffet breakfast, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit. Staff is great, the pool is very large and usually quite empty. Rooms are great, fully furnished patio too. Lots of gift shops along this stretch, also money exchanges and 7-11 and good restaurants nearby, try Neeshy around the corner, the cheese balls are totally decadent. Avoid on weekends when it's full of families from Bangkok if you value peace and quiet, otherwise it's great.

everything was very good except for the internet. Quite slow and had to log in many many times!
Great swimming pool. Location is perfect. Nice staff. the room was very pleasant. large enough. the hotel is very well maintained. lots of palm trees around the swimming pool. that great because in cha-am no palm trees anywhere or so few. the food is also excellent.
and the price is amazing! great great value.

Be nice when its finished.............

Arrived at the Hotel to find that is currently being extensively refurbished (due to complete in Dec 2015), with breakfast being taken at a nearby hotel via shuttle buggy and only the pool available (no gym/bar/restaurant etc), It would have been good to know this before we arrived!. We were \"upgraded\" to a refurbished room, which was very nice and despite the inconvenience had a pleasant stay as we didn't hang around the hotel during the day, the Hotel will be real nice when it is finished.

Avoid until building works completed

Wanted a relaxing 2 nights in Cha Am whilst traveling through Thailand. Enquired about upgrading rooms when checking in so staff understood that I was after something special but I got given a room opposite where they are building a block of new rooms and I had to put up with banging, grinding and welding all through the day. Very angry when I noticed there were other empty rooms away from the building works and was not offered one. When I complained, We were given a free glass of orange juice. Ridiculous!

As usual good service, friendly staff. Upper floor standard rooms a bit critical with kids, almost no rail at the balcony. Take the better rooms on ground floor. Pool nice, restaurant breakfast buffet good. Sometimes a bit noisy from next door hotel if they have a oarty, but they stop not too late.

Das Hotel überzeugt mit seiner schönen, sauberen Anlage direkt am Strand. Besonders positiv sind der große Balkon und der gründliche Zimmerservice, der regelmäßig alle Badeartikel auffüllt. Die Betten sind allerdings etwas hart und die Zimmer für zwei Personen mit viel Gepäck eher klein. Der Pool wirkt trotz täglicher Reinigung etwas schmutzig. Ein großes Manko ist jedoch das massive Ameisenproblem – sowohl in den Zimmern als auch auf der gesamten Anlage und beim Frühstück, was den ansonsten positiven Eindruck deutlich trübt.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes kleines Resort im Zentrum von Cha-am. Die Lage ist hervorragend, denn der Strand liegt unmittelbar gegenüber. Auch der Pool ist sehr groß.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist demgegenüber etwas bescheidener als von einem 4*-Hotel zu erwarten, dafür ist es nicht teuer.

Vi bodde i en av villaene som var nokså slitt. Toalettsetet var løst, håndklærne var veldig slitte og ofte flekkete. Dette gjaldt dusj- og strandhåndklær. Frokosten var ikke noe særlig, og lite utvalg. Dette var likt hver dag. Beliggenheten var bra, rett over gata til stranden, og gåavstand til diverse restauranter.

Wie immer sehr zufrieden.
Diesmal wurde der Fußweg nach Überschwemmung neu gebaut, was bei der schmalen Fahrbahn es fast unmöglichmacht die Straße ohne Probleme zu passieren. Arbeiten jeden Tag und von früh bis abends, fast nur Frau.
Für Neukunden, vielleicht kommen sie nicht nochmal
Wir hatten eine Vila gebucht, sehr zu empfehlen. Viele Platz, unmittelbar am Pool.
Ins gesamt eine sehr ruhige, kleine Anlage.

En lille oase ved hektisk gade lige ved stranden. Dejlig pool og fine værelser med dejlig terrasse. Fint og rummeligt køleskab. Der var masser af lys på værelse og badeværelse, men ikke noget lys ved spejlet. Morgenmaden var ok, men kaffen var ikke specielt god.

Utmärkt vistelse med bra frukost och bra mat även i övrigt. Lugn trafik i ett lugnt område med lite biltrafik. Lång sandstrand men vi spenderade tid vid den stora poolen. Trevlig Nightmarknad med bra mat från Foodtrucks och stånd med god gatumat.

Det er folk med full av klær badet i svømmebassenget. Hotellet har heller ikke tilgjengelige strandhåndduk slik man må bruke håndduk på badet hvis man vil bade på sjøen. Frokost er så kjedelig og dårlig utvalg.

For more than 15 years we have been coming to the BaanPanTai Hotel every now and then......it is still very nice here and we like the hotel. It doesn't matter that the stairs to the swimming pool have been loose for 10 years. That some of the wooden panels at the pool have been loose for many years - never mind.

But we do have one criticism....the breakfast has lost quality and also the food in the restaurant used to be, in our opinion, better. Otherwise, always nice! See you next time.

8回目の宿泊。ほぼ3年ぶりに滞在で、変わらず快適でした。部屋のガウン、プールで使用するブルーのベッドタオル、朝食のオムレツサービスが無くなっていました。建物の構造は、1階がデラックス、2Fがスーペリアで、プール寄りの角部屋がエグゼクティブダブルルーム。すぐ近くにセブンイレブンがあるので何かと便利です。
チャアムは何時行っても過ごしやすく、特に水曜に行われるナイトマーケット（チャアム駅そば）は巨大で、興奮してしまいます。
24OPENのコインランドリー（Laundry Bar）もマーケット近くにあり、洗濯と乾燥でだいたい100THB。簡単操作ですが日中はスタッフが常駐していて、アシストしてくれます。
