Room wasn't ready until 3.16 pm. Room was everything but quite. Leaking toilet seat, super loud heater,which we have to turn off even in a 4 degree night due to its being ao loud that we couldn't sleep. Thankfully it was just a night. But i would not recommend to any family. No wonder when i tried to book in 2 weeks before my holiday every good one was booked out except this one.

Great location with wildlife right up close. Room was spacious but a bit old fashioned. Pool is tiny but was still pleasant and staff were helpful. Reasonably well equipped to make some snacks or breakfast but if you provide a coffee machine you should provide more than 2 pods.

Great views, short drive into Halls gap. Room was basic but clean, and just what we needed for an overnight stay. The pool hadn't been cleaned, so we didnt use it, but it was the first hot day, so probably hadnt been set up yet. The restaurant wasnt open, but some good choices in the village.

I was sent a text message as reception was closing soon to collect keys from a safe which was great as I was arriving later than approximation. The room was clean with a nice smell, plenty of towels and toiletries. Wildlife just grazing on the lawn, small but sufficient pool. Met the staff the following day and were so friendly.

The place is beautiful. Check in codes were not sent and no reception. The restaurant was closed and had to go into town to get food. The room has notices if you use the cutlery and don’t wash it there is a $20/- charge and if the room is messy $50/- charge. There is no staff around at all.

Restaurant doesnt have a liquor license at this time so could not serve alcohol. Although the pizzas we took away were huge and very tasty and Had beers in our room.
Otherwise fantastic views and wild life in abundance. Comfy stay.

A pleasant surprise.

Actually quite enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and warm over a cold wet weekend. Spartan in appearance but spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and a good sized television. The views of wildlife from the front window was spectacular. Would happily stay there again. Great value.

Rooms very clean and tidy, but dated. I believe the owners are new so perhaps they’re working through systematically, but the one I was allocated was extremely dated in decor and facilities. It was expensive for what it was.
Also restaurant not declared as closed (due to it being off season) when I booked, I wasn’t planning on using it but if I had it would have been annoying so may be worth checking if you are wanting to use it.

The only real criticism is that we thought that the beds would have been made and rubbish removed on our first out of two days.

The motel is set in amazing grounds with friendly wildlife, views to the mountains on both sides.
The rooms are dated and bathrooms not great but good shower. The restaurant was really good and the barman Paul so friendly. He is an asset for sure.

It was a nice stay. The room was tidy, complete with a microwave and toaster which was handy. The views of the nearby hills were amazing. It’s obviously an old motel though, very tired looking, the mattress was uncomfortable and the fluorescent lighting outside the windows shining into the room was another annoyance. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The friendliness of the reception staff particularly Tania and John made us feel very welcome and our stay extremely enjoyable. Waking up to kookaburras and watching the kangaroos roam freely from our room was fantastic. The dinner restaurant menu prepared and cooked by John was delicious.

Beautiful settings and superb views of the Grampians with lots of kangaroos around.
The accomodation is comfortable but dated but this is reflected in the charges to stay there.

Property canceled my booking minutes before we arrived, without a phone call, jυst a message, which I had not recieved. They explained that as we were to arrive after hours (which I had said to them a couple of days earlier) they required full payment, since that hadn't been made, they pulled our booking. I had no idea this was their preference. No where did I read this and as I said, no phone call was made to me to explain this!

After debating this discrepancy, my family were allowed a room. The saga continued, the 'daily' housekeeping didn't exist. Our dishes sat, we couldnt use them for the following meals. The shower was dirty, with an indecisive water temperature, still had hair in the drain, hand soap spilt on the floor, floor hadn't been vacuumed, moved bed to the centre to tuck my daughter in to discover hair, food, rubbish etc down the side of her bed. Filthy!

The only plus, the natural beauty of the grampians and the wildlife.

The aircon did not work properly which is why we faced a lot of trouble sore throat,fever and the weather of the night was very cold
The mountain view from the room was very disappointing and and this is the worst view i have ever seen as i have been different hotel in grampian various time
A lot of insect came underneath the door which was very disturbing.
Otherwise the entrance and front part of the hotel was nice

Definitely not a 5 star resort but you can see there is love for the motel and the guests. Appears to still require some updates in places however alot of updates have been completed recently and some detail upgrades could be focused on in the future.. keep up the great work and look forward to stopping past again soon. The sliding door to my room had a gap down the bottom which let in the cold breeze and had plenty of room for creepy crawlies to get in. The reverse cycle heating was insufficient. While it was better than nothing it definitely did not warm the room up. Thankfully the electric blanket worked well. Plenty of wildlife around the property with a spectacular view which made for lots of wonderful photo opportunities.

A nice scenic spot to stay with family

Our stay was short but good. They are organized. As we arrived late in evening after 6pm we have requested late check out at our booking, we have to re request again n again to persue felt a bit odd. Staff was friendly probably under presuure from management though it was not bisy at all. Environment is good. Beautiful location. Worth staying

The room was spacious and clean. It was a bit dated but this just added to the charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was really tasty and good value. The wildlife is right on your doorstep, literally, I opened the door and there was a kangaroo right there. Cockatoos everywhere and emus just strolling about. As a Brit on holiday, this was just wonderful.

The restaurant and bar area were a little dated but that was made up for by the fantastic staff: helpful, entertaining and welcoming. The bed rather sunk in the middle...too much closeness at our age is not that romantic. All in all no real complaints

For a property in such a nice location, we found basic maintenance to be disappointing. Jammed doors, taps that were hard to turn on or off, TV remote only partly working and half the power points didn't work. This was a standard room, so hopefully more expensive rooms fared better.
