Bathroom door doesn’t open bc toilet is in the way. No shower curtain. Constantly hitting feet on raised stone threshold to bathroom.
Required to leave room key at front desk when you go out for the day. When you get back to the hotel you can get your key from the front desk staff.

This property is good but for the ambience, especially the carpets which look dirty. Hotel rating would jump up if the carpets are changed. Excellent staff who are very friendly and would go extra mile to satisfy guests. Management needs to work on the ambience.

Room & bathroom: very small
Hallways: need refurbishing
Receptionists: excellent
Breakfast: too simple
Lobby: big and comfortable
Elevator: 2 pax maximum

Overall, for what i needed, was good enough. When i travel, i spend all day out of the hotel so i just need a bed, clean bathroom/bedroom and A/C.
If you are like me, then you will be more than fine.

The blue sea Alimos is he worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life. The staff was rude and he AC didn’t work in the rooms and also the hotel had fake safes in the room. There was so many things wrong with this hotel i don even know where to start. AVOID at wll costs

Looks better in the photos

The online photos do not convey the backstreet location, or the general poor condition of the hotel. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, not the same for the breakfast waiting staff. Breakfast was buffet style but not the best. The hotel is however clean and fairly comfortable, in my opinion not worth the extra money for executive rooms.

I can't fault my experience with the sea breeze.
Especially the service I experienced from Alexandria she went above and beyond to make sure all our transit transfers were organised she is professional and very efficient and nothing you need is a problem.
Recommend this little gem of a hotel to anyone.
I will certainly return.

Good hotel by the beach

Great hotel by the beach and good location to almost everything in Alimos. However, receptiom desk had some problems with their reservation system which at the end worked out fine. Would recommend.

Very disappointing dirty old hotel/rooms

This is not a 4 star hotel. We were greatly disappointed with this hotel. It is very old one. The bathroom had holes in the floor, the chairs had large dirty spots, the furniture was old. We even asked to upgrade the room as honestly it was disgusting (our choice was double standard room, and according to pictures it should have been a totally different room). Unfortunately, we were told that we need to wait for the next day, so the manager will come to work and see if we can take another \"better\" room. Breakfast was terrible, almost nothing to eat, only eggs, cereals and \"expired\" jams. We changed our hotel for the last day, as the hotel almost ruined our impression and excitement of the vacation and Greece.

Fantastic stay

We spent 10 days in this hotel. The room was large, clean, with a large bathroom. The bed is also large and comfortable; we also had two great comfortable armchairs and a couch. Wi-Fi ok, free. The hotel is located no more than 10 minutes from the beach. We could reach Sintagma square in almost 40 minutes by bus. The tram is perhaps faster.
The entire hotel team was kind, polite, ready (and able) to help. Breakfast ok.

It was on ghe description 4star hotel, non smoking, has beach umbrellas and beds. Actually, the hotel has only 2 stars. As well, other guests was smoking everywhere and they didnt have any beach things.

Near the tram and beach so location is great ! Breakfast wasn’t up to scratch. The sheets smelled of smoke when we checked in and I had to make housekeeping change them the next day so housekeeping isn’t good. They only do what they have to do which isn’t nice.

Right mix of beach and city. Hotel had water damage needs a bit of renos. Rooms are very large and spacious. Staff are amazing. Free parking and breakfast is a plus.

Good location

Was expecting more of a 4* hotel. The bath could be better. The drain under the shower was clogged. There was no option to use the shower in “hands free” mode :) The breakfast was absolutely the same on the two mornings I spent there. The location was good though. Walking distance from the beach and public transport.

Perfect spot close to Athens!

The Blue Sea was a very nice hotel situated in a beautiful residential area. It was a couple of blocks away from the beaches , public transportation, and great restaurants. The parking was very convenient. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful!

Convenient location away from city centre.
Good public transport nearby.
Reception very friendly and helpful.
Room - executive room - had a jacuzzi being only difference, no shower only handheld (which they promptly fixed), limited cupboard shelving, poor aircon for heating the room. Mattress ok ish, plastic toilet seat.
Recomendation is a maybe...maybe not.
Value for money is medium. Been in better for less cost.

Nice welcome, nice and large room. We were there for only one night before our flight back. Airport is half an hour away (35 ureo taxi and 15 euros from port). Confortable beds, large shower space. Exactly what we needed at that time.

We chose this hotel as a stopover on our way to Santorini, and we found it to be in a great spot quiet close to the beach. The hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful with everything from taxi information and organising an early breakfast for us.

Just in the wrong place

booked this hotel for our last night on way back to airport. The hotel itself was adequate, clean and decent breakfast. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The location was not what I expected - a good 10 minutes walk to civilization as we know it, but I put that down to my lack of research. For restaurants it was a ten minute drive to Glyfada, although the tram runs into Syntagma Square. It was basic yet peaceful and no complaints

Fairly average hotel. The rooms could use some upgrading. Hotel has bar but no restaurant. One annoying incident was that either the hotel cab or the hotel miss-quoted us the price for the taxi to the airport (45 euros versus 30 euros) which meant an argument at the airport since we had left ourselves just slightly over 30 euros before leaving.

Not a good stopover for the airport.

I stayed on a stopover to corfu because it was reviewed on Tripadvisor and stated that it was only 1.5 miles from the airport. In fact it is 33 kilometres!
It was very cold in Athens and the shower was tepid and because of an early departure in the morning it was cold. It was not an enjoyable stay.

Convenient for the Airport

Found this Hotel with parking close to the beach, shops and restaurants. We also discovered a great Indian Restaurant (Jaipur Palace)within a ten minute walk. Buffet breakfast was superb with several options including a hot selection. Manager (or possibly owner) was hovering during breakfast to ensure his staff kept everything in order. Room had a great film channel (in English, no Greek subtitles) showing fairly current films back to back with no commercials. TV also had a hard porn channel...OK if you're in to that but be careful if you have kids with you.
Only problem we had was the aircon wasn't working. It may have been turned off for the end of season so we opened the balcony door expecting to hear a lot of traffic noise, but in fact we had a very peaceful nights sleep. I didn't complain because we were only there for one night and it wasn't really a problem.

Clean & Comfortable with Very helpful Staff

We arrived in Athens @ 4.30 am and were greeted by a taxi that the Hotel had organised for us. He was most informative about the area and Athens. On arriving the check in was easy (24 hours) and we went straight to the room. The room was basic but very clean & comfortable...the bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath (Bonus). Breakfast later on that day was alright but basic, it needed more variety maybe some tinned grapefruit segments, prunes etc.. the hot food was minimal just Scrambled Eggs, Bacon & small Greek Sausages, became quite boring towards the end of the week.
The Hotel is in a great position as a base to see the whole of the coast line (Trams, Buses & Trains at only 10 Euros each for the weeks travel). I would recommend this Hotel for anyone visiting Athens who wants both Coast & City.

Simple hotel with friendly staff

We were a little disappointed with the simplicity of the hotel room, it wasnt really your typical 5 star hotel but its in line with normal Greek standards- simple, clean and not much more.

The hotel staff were very friendly and we got chatting to the barman who also acted as waiter during the day. He helped us figure out our plans and was lovely to chat to.

If you walk down the hill 5-10 minutes you get to a lovely beach with blue seas, blue skies, and some lovely bar/restaurants (although they aren't cheap). You also come to the tram stop. While the tram runs frequently and is cheap and pleasant to travel on, it does take 30-35 minutes to get to the city centre (the stop for the acropolis and more). We liked having the option of the beach or travelling in to Athens city centre however, and we'd stay there again.

Simple and Basic but SAFE!

The hotel rooms are simple and basic, but had everything I needed, not to mention the a/c delivered ARTIC air on demand, which is important to a woman \"of a certain age\" especially after broiling half the day touring ruins!

As I travel alone, it is important to me to feel I am in a safe neighborhood and that the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I arrived before checkin, rumpled and anxious, and the day staff installed me in the lobby with a warm welcome and a free iced caffe latte to settle my nerves (hey, I had just stepped off the plane!). Later I wandered two blocks to the business district for diner, and of course got a bit muddled on the way back. Although night had fallen I felt perfectly safe - this is a modest residential area with young families and young professionals on the street - nobody sketchy looking. A nice young woman pointed me back on my way.

The next day, armed with my instructions from the night staff (very friendly and helpful as well) I walked the three (short) blocks to the Tram, which was easy to navigate to the Akropolis (and had good a/c and was NOT CROWDED!)

Next to the tram station is a taverna with free sunbeds and a nice beach - I spent a day there recuperating and had a lovely lunch (ok maybe a few drinks, but it was very hot out!)

So, not only did I feel safe here, but I could navigate to many places in the city without help, and could have a nice day at the beach! Modest rooms, but a pleasant stay, and for a reasonable price!

The staff at this hotel were really welcoming and friendly, which was a great start. The rooms were basic but the wifi was good and the hotel was located close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, and there was a bus nearby which took us right to the Piraeus port when we were leaving for the islands. We did have some VERY noisy people next to us and the walls seemed paper-thin so we could hear every word they said until about 3am, so my advice is to take some earplugs. The breakfast was really good and there is also a small bar on site.

Nice Hotel, but NOT near the airport

In a online search, this hotel comes up as near the Athens Airport. This is NOT true. The Blue Sea Hotel is near the old Athens airport, which shut down several years ago. This hotel is almost in downtown Athens. If you need a hotel near the airport, do not stay here.

Otherwise, it's a nice hotel with very friendly staff and in a cute little neighborhood.

first room a bit squashed-couldnt use loo without squeezing between door and sink- air con excellent - not sure about shared balcony.there was a dodgy bit of plumbing somewhere under shower /hall and water came up through the laminate floor so i was moved to
another room- the layout was better in the bathroom and so was the room config. pity about the broken handles and burn marks on bedside tables.but after all it was a two star and it was in a nice quiet road and the staff were fine,helpful and pleasant and i could walk across to the pebble beach- 10 mins-would go back -reasonably priced for location and problems were all resolved happily
