Clean and comfortable. Great value and the breakfast was more than adequate. Location was just a little bit further from the main attractions , about 30 minutes walking, which was fine for us but Uber prices are very cheap if you need a ride.
We would definitely stay here again!

On the other hand the rooms are not soundproof as advertised.

We arrived in room and immediately we both got the impression that the window was open. We checked the window and we could feel an air draft coming in while closed. We received another room, but unfortunately the situation was exactly the same. For reference, the breakfast floor is perfectly soundproof. So, it can be done.

We picked this hotel because it writes \"soundproof\" rooms in the description. This is not the case. If one cannot get a decent sleep to the cars noise, it does affect the quality of the holiday, unfortunately.

I strongly recommend that the \"soundproof\" description is removed.

Very cute boutique hotel. Clean, stylish, very helpful staff. My only issues were the condition of the towels and the lack of wash cloths. The neighborhood was filled with hotels, but it was a bit dicey at night.

A noisy place

My room is in the 9th floor and very noisy. The window is not properly shut and I can feel the wind when I stand by the window. Therefore the car noise is very evident. The sound proof is poor and I can hear interesting noise from the neighbor room. The room cleaning is ok and the breakfast is good. The room is also a little small, especially the bathing place.

The staff were very friendly and the reception was very competent, the General Cleanliness of the hotel was good food for the prices was excellent. the only negative area to have a slight moan about would be the heavy traffic from the main road but if you think about the advantages that buses are close taxis are available and the city center is less that 4km away then I managed to live with it.

Fantastic hotel for the price. When I have booked the hotel, I was looking for a hotel within budget and booked the Avenue hotel. I was positively surprised by the room size (I was upgraded upon check-in though). The room was sparkling clean and the service was great. The breakfast was tasty with a lot of options.

The street the hotel is located on might not be the best one for families but not a problem for single travelers. I had no experience of being bothered or see anything that's family unfriendly when at the hotel or just waiting for a taxi in front of the hotel. Though if you walk 5 minutes on the hotel street, you will hit some of the family none friendly places mentioned by others. Those can be avoided though by taking taxis right from front of the hotel

We were on level 9 and the room was nice.
Staff at front desk were brilliant. She was very helpful and spoke great English, helped us with printing our ferry tickets and was just a pleasant lady, also helped book us a taxi in the morning.

Location is very active and a little noisy.
Our main window did not shut properly it seems the seals had a gap in it causing a fair amount of street noise to come into the room which woke us up a few times.
It is on a main road with lots of cars and adult stores and ladies on the corners.

But hotel room was nice and clean.
Only 10 minute drive to Pireaus port.

Nothing made it worth the cost

The hotel lobby was beautiful. But the receptionist was incredibly slow, inefficient and lied about having coffee available for us in the morning when we needed to check out early. It was not available 😩.
We also assumed we had checked into a luxury hotel given the lobby area, but when we got into our room, it was the smallest, most basic hotel room I've ever stayed in. Not worth the cost!

Avenue Athens hotel is modern in a somewhat bland way. We weren’t excited by the food - the kitchen seems to be at some distance from the restaurant - hot breakfast on cold plates - but it was convenient that the restaurant was open until 10.45 pm so it was possible to get an omlette when arriving late.
Well appointed bathroom but the hot water flow wasn’t constant.
Staff were very helpful.
The hotel is on a very busy 8 lane avenue and traffic is 24/7, so there was a steady droan, sometimes roar, audible in the room.
There are convenient bus stops to access the centre of Athens, the metro and tram systems, but the location on the south side of Athens is less convenient for trips north of the city. We were the first to be picked up for a visit to Delphi and the last to be returned, adding at least a couple of hours to the day.

This was the last hotel I stayed at in my week long trip to Greece and it was the best hotel ever! It was so clean and spotless! The bed was so comfortable the room was spacious and refreshing. The food was so good and the drinks strong. Breakfast was good and plentiful. This place was perfect from the Art Deco on the walls to the nice and kind staff! So beautiful and I would literally stay there again and recommend to anyone.

Great price, nice enough rooms but nothing else is avail in this area. Tranvestite hookers were walking around on the same block and no walking traffic.

The hotel doesn’t use bed sheets and I am not sure if the wash the comforter every time guests check out.

Athens Avenue was a great hotel to spend the last leg of our trip. We were mainly day-tripping out of Athens in a rental car. The hotel has a garage you can park in for 10 euro a night so we used that. It is also on a main road which made it easy to get out of town. We didn't have to deal with much inner city traffic. Our room was on the top floor so it was pretty quiet. The bathrooms were really nice and have a rainfall showerhead. The breakfast each morning had a wide spread of options and was always delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi in the room was very good. Since the hotel is outside the Acropolis area, it was more difficult to get into town. The metro is not very close by so it's easier to get a taxi or Uber. There are also a lot of risque bars along the road to the hotel, which may make some feel uncomfortable at night. We weren't really walking around at night except to eat across the street so it wasn't a big deal for us. There were also fewer eating options overall. However, we did eat at a cafe across the street that was great. Overall I was very pleased with our stay.

Hotel was great. The rooms and the staff were really nice. The rooms were a little small, but that didn't matter much for us since we were just sleeping there. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. It had almost everything you needed. Location was about a 5-10 minute drive to the main center which is about 5 euros With a taxi.

Super gorgeous hotel

This hotel was so gorgeous and I am sad we didn't book this hotel at the beginning of our stay. The pictures provided by Expedia are an exact replica of how the hotel rooms and lobby area looks. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. When I asked about restaurants that stayed open late, they pointed me in the right direction to an Italian restaurant. Will stay at this location again and will probably be one of my first choices.

Nice hotel close to the center of the city

This hotel is nice and quiet located just south of the square. Room service is very good and affordable, staff is nice. There is not a lot around the hotel as far as attractions or restaurants. If you take a taxi it can't get a little pricey, I would recommend using Uber. Overall I had a good experience.

The service was so great. I arrived at the port via a ferry around midnight and the driver was right there waiting for me with my name on a sign. The service at the hotel was amazing - very helpful and made my stay comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay near Piraeus Port.

A Nice Surprise

We arrived at 10:00 AM after getting off a cruise and they prepared a room for us immediately. The hotel is very clean and modern. In order to catch a flight at 4:00 AM, we had to leave in the middle of the night and the night staff were so pleasant and helpful. We ate in the restaurant the night before we checked out and had a mixed experience. We ordered a salad to share(huge size) and each ordered risotto, mine a mushroom risotto, my husband a fish risotto. The salad was fabulous, one of the best we had on our trip. My risotto was excellent, great flavor....however, my husband's was bad, the shrimp were spoiled. We shared my dish (enough for four) and sent his back. They took it off our bill and later we ordered two glasses of wine from room service and found out at checkout they comped the wine. I was quite impressed.

Very Small Room! Amenities? No!

We were disappointed to see the room! We booked for a superior room and in the picture it did look big and the room we got was definitely not a superior room. It was smaller than even a standard room. But when we asked in the reception they said this was their superior room! There were no amenities such as tissues, kettle or refreshments, water - which you find in all other hotels. The rooms were clean as it was new. The breakfast was okay and not a great variety. I would recommend to make sure you look at the room before you check in!

Unfortunately the area isn't that good, especially at night, but suited our purposes as others we knew were in hotels nearby too. That said, I never felt unsafe, it was just a bit seedy after dark.

The hotel itself is not in the heart of Athens but it's about a 5-7 euro taxi ride down the street. Rooms were small but clean. We asked for a double bed and the double beds where literally pushed together, so, don't except too much space. But everything was fresh and clean, which matters most.

Nice new hotel - friendly staff

We stayed one night, the rooms are small, but functional. There are some really nice restaurants just across the street and the acropolis is also just a 5 min taxi ride. It is far from airport - about 40 euro taxi trip.

The hotel staff is very friendly - they allowed us to extend 3-4 hours past the checkout time - greatly appreciated.

Nice hotel very close to the Acropolis and Plaka!

We used this hotel as base operations for touring the Acropolis, museums, restaurants and shops close by. Room pricing was very affordable and staff were extraordinarily courteous, kind and eager to help. We were offered this hotel through the US Costco Travel Agency. Costco took care of all the details and we commend them for finding this hotel for our large family.
