The AC eventually worked. The hair dryer never did ( with “Does not work” sign on it). The beds were hard. It was further from town center or public transit than anticipated. It was quiet. Maybe price was good? Breakfast was fine…It was clean.

More like a low 3 star Hotel

Very limited street parking. Otherwise a fine area. Nice park near it with some restraunts but nearby alleys are dumpy.
Hotel itself is not 4 star material. Water went out (luckily on my checkout day). Carpet is gross with stains and elevator is tiny. Staff was great but definitely something to be desired. Probably good for the price compared to other hotels in the area.

When we booked travel at this property, it was tagged as a 4 star property, however, the only aspect of this property that is 4 star is the employees and their willingness to help make an inconvenient stay more convenient. Our stay was inconvenient due to how the property has been maintained, rather not maintained at all over the years!! The AC barely worked, and given the intense Athens heat in July that was an absolute bummer. Wi-Fi was spotty and by the end of our stay we were able to map out spots in our room that had adequate coverage. Breakfast was horrendous and not appealing at all. While the spread was decent the food looked terrible and was overcooked!! I would not recommend this property at all.

This is no way a 4 star property. The room is old and dated, things are broken and carpet is all stained. There is no bell hop and 1 small 3 person elevator that feels very unsafe. The location is very removed from the main attractions in Athens. The staff was cordial.

Good place for the night

Athens Atrium Hotel is a good place for a short stay. The neighborhood is quiet, and there's a great place to eat within walking distance. The bathroom could use a little maintenance, the toilet seat was barely on, and the tub needed calking. The bed was very comfortable however. Breakfast was good.

The staff was very friendly and eager to help maje sure elderly handicapped mother was comfortable. They put no parking sign out in front of doors and even parked a staff member motorcycle in the spot to ensure it was available for us when I came back with rental car.

Although the Atrium is a little outside of the city of Athens Proper, it is close to the bus lines and is only a 15-minute cab ride to \"downtown\". The hotel itself is lovely, clean and secure. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities you would need. Our room was a king, and we had only a shower, no tub. This isn't an issue for us, but if you like to take a bath, be sure to ask for a room with a tub. The wonderful soaps and shampoos (all olive-oil based, of course) were delightful.
The staff is INCREDIBLE...they made the stay extra-pleasant. Dimitrius at the front desk was phenomenal, helping us with cabs, reservations, ideas for things to do and see, etc. He is tremendously knowledgeable about the area, and speaks great English. He was a true delight.
Additionally, Jannis, the bartender/waiter/man-of-all-information was a true treat. He, too, helped us with information about the area. He even spent some time writing our names in Greek letters (we were a group of 12) and helping us with our greek pronunciation. He was just a great guy!
The food at the hotel is great! The breakfast buffet is large and varied. The bar is well-stocked with known goodies, as well as a variety of Greek beers and ouzo. The dinner menu at the hotel is varied and delicious.
I would definitely stay here again. It is truly a lovely place.

The hotel itself is quite nice, located in a good area. Our double room was nice and cleaned every day. The breakfast which was included was just alright, nothing special, but at least there is a choice of eggs, bacon, greek yogurt, bread, croissants etc. I would have given 4 stars out of 5 but on Saturday night there was a wedding in the hotel... There wouldn't be anything wrong with that in a normal hotel, but in Athens Atrum Hotel in order to go to the rooms you need to go through the entire ballrom.. meaning that after a long day of walking and exploring the city every hotel guest had to walk through the middle of a wedding... Secondly, we couldn't sleep at all as very loud music was playing the entire night... We called the reception a few times and the only response to that was: \"sorry, what can I do? IT'S A WEDDING\"... I understand that it's a wedding but the organization of this hotel isn't very good... I wouldn't recommend it as I assume during summertime there's a lot of parties there... poor 2/5

I booked this hotel because it was not far from the location of a conference I was attending. I was pleasantly surprised. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, a 10 mn walk to the neos Kosmos subway station ( two stops from the Acropolis and three from Syntagma station). My room was large - with a balcony- and very bright. Breakfast was fine, lacked variety though. More importantly the staff - especially the staff at the reception desk- were pleasant and beyond helpful. I had dinner at the local eateries nd truly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. I would go back with no hesitation!

This hotel is over promoted & over priced - by Expedia

The hotel is in a 'so-so' residential neighborhood, comprised of two back-to-back apartment blocks, with the inner courtyard covered over to form a dining room (The Atrium). The hotel caters mostly to the packaged tour business, is clean & presentable, but definitely NOT a luxury hotel. It charges 1/3rd of the price Expedia charge, which is what it should charge / in line with other such local hotels.

If you want a luxury hotel then stay at the Grande Bretagne where you have a great location, excellent facilities & fantastic staff..... all for the same price that Expedia charges for this facility

Reasonably priced, cab ride to center takes 12 minutes and costs about 5 euro. Neighborhood is decent. Staff is pleasant. Air conditioner in my room needed an upgrade, subway isn’t very close. But otherwise a nice place.

Athens Atrium was an excellent pick. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but there are good dining options (an incredible family-owned restaurant next door and a local square down the street). The hotel staff is excellent and extremely accommodating. It’s easy to get to all the Athens attractions by Tram or metro. The rooms and amenities are quite good as well.

We were talking between us about the hotel needing new carpets desperately - and the next day the carpet fitters arrived. Even so, the hotel needs a more radical make over. That said, the staff are all very good and hospitality is great. Breakfast needs a boost in presentation.

I feel completely cheated by orbitz and the hotel for rating this hotel as a 4 stars hotel. The hotel should not be in business. The room smells like urine. Te bathroom has mold everywhere, the shower is broken and the shower door does not close properly as it is broken as well. The whole property is just dirty everywhere. This is not acceptable. The only one good thing is the breakfast as it is decent. Needs to be removed from business untill all problem corrected!

I booked 3 rooms at this hotel. The conditions were horrible. Hot hallways, stains on the carpets, moldy showers and wood in the bathrooms. We stayed only 1 of the 6 nights we had booked because of the conditions of our rooms. We promptly checked out the next morning and went to another hotel. I asked for a refund for the next 5 days and they refused to give me an answer, saying that the reservation clerk was out for the day. My family did not comfortable or safe at this hotel. My children went down to the fr t desk to ask for a menu the first night we were there. The hotel clerk responded that they would have to find it because he was not the bartender at the hotel. There were bugs in the hallway, dirty a/c vents and stains on the stair cases. The hotel itself smelled like mold. It was an uninviting place to stay. The pictures online and the actual hotel are nothing alike. We were both shocked and surprised when we arrived.

It is a bit out of the way from the centre. Taxis are abound to and from the centre minimum 5 euros, but be careful some of the drivers tend to overcharged.
My room was facing the street and it can be noisy at night. There’s a dog that started barking incessantly early in the morning.
The hotel probably has its time when it was one of the best in Athens. It now needs a facelift or upgrade. (You pay what you get). Breakfast was sufficient.

The views were horrible. The condition of the hotel was really disappointing. The decor was very outdated. For a “Superior King” room the size and condition of it all was sad. Stayed 2 nights and couldn’t take it anymore. Ended up getting a different hotel. Never again will I be back here.

Easy booking, no problems and fast check-in, and a great welcome with rose wine. Room is clean, very well equipped (even with a sewing kit) and the balcony is quite nice on a good day. I very much enjoyed my stay here and it was surely worth it. Breakfast buffet has fair amount of selection and serves good food. Location is a bit out of way of center and 15 mins from nearest metro station (red line) but I think I would return here and would likely recommend this to others who don’t mind the bit of walk for a great value.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We especially loved the breakfast that was included and served in the lovely Atrium. The room was quite comfortable and quiet. There was also a fridge and kettle which was nice to have in the room. It was very easy to catch a cab from the main road which was 2 short blocks from the hotel.

I would not come back here. The location is out of the way of everything. It is about 15-20 minutes drive to get to the main part of town with the restaurants and shops. There are nothing around the area within walking distance. Every time you need to go get food or sightsee, you have to contact the hotel to get you a taxi and they charge you extra for that too. Very inconvenient. The staff was just okay. They don’t really show any interests. The room was okay, nothing special. Did not feel like a 4-star at all. I booked here for 2 nights before going to Santorini and booked it again for 1 night after Santorini but because of everything about this place, we did not even want to come back here that we booked another hotel to stay at.

Clean, comfortable, nice rooms with excellent staff. Good breakfast buffet and on-site restaurant. Very good value. The only downside is the location. There isn't shopping/dining within walking distance and even the taxi drivers have a hard time finding it. That said, it is only a 10 minute taxi ride ($5EURO) to the Acropolis area and many shopping, dining and cultural exhibits.

This hotel is in a fair location. It seems to be empty and quiet and the the elevator is freaky as it is literally 4x4 in terms of its size. As for the room, you slide the room key into this port to activate the rooms electricity. The light flickered a lot in our room and the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. Dtbis hotel lists that it’s rooms have jacuzzis but beware. They have never been kept cleaned. We turned ours on in the bathroom and it filled up with so much dirt andorher particles that we shut it off and decided not to do it. Thankfully, we stayed there onlly for one day. Overall, a decent place for the price but not something I would use again for a stay.

Our stay was ruined by the strong winds which cause something that was loose in the roof area to be rolling around all night. Pointing it out to receptionist made no difference. Clearly wasn't investigated. Lost sleep for two nights as a result.

Athens Atrium hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood only a few blocks away from public transportation (bus line). It's close to Athens city center, about a ten minute bus ride, also. The restaurant next door, Fagopoti, has great food if you want to eat somewhere close by after a long day of sightseeing.

This hotel is nice. The staff wasn’t that friendly, with the exception of the gentleman that works the evening shift he was extremely nice. The rooms are a nice size. They don’t offer early check in or any recognition for being a Gold member of Expedia. Another thing to keep in mind is that it’s about a 10 min drive (average outs to about 5 euros) and 45 min walk from the Acropolis & temple of Zeus. Overall I would say it wasn’t bad but not all that. I think there are better choices like Athens Gate which is closer to the attractions and is also a +VIP Access Expedia Hotel

Everything in the hokey is pretty much old. The hotel located not in a beautiful area. Definitely won’t stay there again.
