We visited as a family of 10. Booked 2 family rooms and a double. Everything was perfect. there was even a playarea to keep the children happy. It was welcoming and inclusive. Felt very comfortable there. The hotel had no parking but there was good value parking nearby around the church.

Fairly standard Novotel. Large bed in a reasonable size room. Although the toilet and shower were behind (separate) doors, the washbasin was in the room which we didn't like at all. It was a huge basin but with a very low tap so I couldn't fit a water bottle under it and it didn't rinse out the bowl properly either. A definite case of looks being chosen over practicality.

WiFi was good, TV was fine. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel.

Good central location on a quiet side street but there was a noisy pub really close with a few undesirables hanging around outside in the evening. There were also roadworks right outside our window from 7.30am on Monday morning

Excellent location just down the street from the large plaza with the In Flanders Fields museum. We were not able to check in until 5 PM and the staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the parking options near the hotel, even though there was a warning about guests getting parking tickets.

The facility is very new and in great shape. We also enjoyed the breakfast!

Good hotel but the car park is problematic.

The hotel is situated in a quiet side street so despite there being a fair in the central square, it was quite peaceful.
The room could do with some decorating attention which made it look and feel a bit tatty. Nothing that really impacted on the stay.
A shame to only have some cardboard cups to drink from in the room- quite wasteful.
The biggest issue is the Indigo carpark under the hotel. I realise this is not owned by the hotel, but problems exiting the car park delayed us by fifteen minutes- the barrier wouldn’t open, the payment machine wouldn’t accept payment. Two other car drivers had the same problem. It’s clearly not a rare occurrence as reception told us they will just open the barrier… except they didn’t. Surely Novotel have some sway with Indigo to get this sorted reliably as it reflects quite poorly.

This hotel is situated just outside of the main market area, however, still close enough to enjoy all that it has to offer. Walkable to the Menin Gate.

Great place to stay

We stayed here for 1 night and were really pleased to have chosen the Novotel. Not sure if it has recently been refurbished or not but our room was in excellent condition, very clean and modern. Ideally located for local restaurants and of course the Menin Gate daily rememberance.

Great stay at Novotel Ieper

The Novotel is modern, spotlessly clean, and in a fabulous location - an easy walk to everything. Our room was large and the bed comfortable. Plenty of storage for two.

Be sure to go to the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate; it’s every night at 8pm.

Walking along the ramparts was lovely - a mostly flat, shaded trail that runs for more than a mile around much of the city.

Arrived and was very quickly checked in abd guven our room keys. We had asked before about parking and it is free next door at the church from 6pm.there is also a two hours free parking there.
Hotel is very good rooms are quiet, and comfortable, with a nespresso machine and tea making facilities.
Breakfast was plentiful and included in cost.

The hotel has a fantastic location.
Its good value for money and the rooms are well appointed.
For vehicles, there's a public carpark just around the corner (Indego Neo) that has direct access to the hotel.
Breakfast is €25 per person, so i wouldnt bother withthat and find a local cafe for less than half the price.
But, would i stay here again? Absolutely.

Although a bit of a walk from the train station, it was just close enough to the In Flanders Fields museum and the main square without being too close. Very quiet. We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel in Ypres. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff were absolutely brilliant so friendly and helpful when we had an issue with parking. The communal area was perfect for chilling and enjoying a drink in the evening. Overall this hotel is the perfect base to tour the battlefields and memorials of the first world war.

Communication re parking question was quickly answered. The location was great and room was lovely. Parking was easily available. Only slight issue was a power outage late evening and staff had to be called in to deal with it as staff on duty didn't know how to sort it. But it was handled fairly quickly after.

Superb Hotel

When I arrived at the hotel I was very surprised at the high standard of the hotel. I was allowed to check in a bit earlier which was very helpful.
My rooms was furnished to a very high standard with a coffee machine and kettle.
The reception staff were very helpful and informative.
If I visit this area again in the future, I would use this hotel again.

Very nice stay at Novotel in Ypres/Leper. Parking had been a concern, but it turned out to be easy to find on-street parking in the evening (we arrived around 1815) and the hotel staff were very helpful in not only recommending parking options but also providing a parking disc which proved useful.
The room was brilliant as well, especially as we had our 2 children who had their own little bedroom with 2 individual beds; had been expecting a sofa-bed but they got proper beds! Great night sleep for all! Great stuff. Then there was also a mini-fridge in the room which was helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel if visiting the town for the service. If you’re also looking for food options in the evening, would highly recommend Captain Cook on the street towards the Meningate and after the 2000 service the restaurant quietens down.
