I recently traveled from the West Coast to attend a conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and after a long, exhausting flight, I arrived at my hotel around 9 AM—far earlier than standard check-in. I was honestly bracing myself for a long wait in the lobby.

Instead, I was met by two incredible front desk team members, Nathan and Hugo, who completely changed the tone of my day.

From the moment I approached the desk, they treated me with genuine care and understanding. They could clearly see how tired I was, and without hesitation, they went above and beyond to try to help. Within about 15 minutes, they managed to arrange a room for me—something I know isn’t easy during busy conference times. That small act felt like a huge relief after traveling across the country.

Their kindness reminded me of the famous story behind the Waldorf Astoria New York, where a young clerk once gave up his own room to help a stranded couple. That story has always symbolized true hospitality—putting people first in moments that matter. Nathan and Hugo embodied that same spirit.

It’s easy for service to become routine, but what they showed was anything but. It was thoughtful, human, and genuinely memorable.

Because of them, my trip started not with stress, but with gratitude. That’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after checkout.

Thank you, Nathan and Hugo—you made a lasting impression.

Pool was not working, there was no running water for more than a few hours one afternoon, phone did not work, one of the two elevators was not working, some lights in my room did not work, pillows were oddly lumpy. They give you pass for free chair and umbrella at beach with a partnering hotel but that area of beach disgusting with seaweed so you can’t even enter water and seaweed gives beach foul odor.

Not a deal breaker, but I expected of have a separate living room area since I booked a suite (this is how is looked in the picture).

Hotel was clean, close to the beach, and within walking distance to EVERYTHING.

Lastly, the staff was very professional/helpful. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Le personnel de l’hôtel extrêmement gentil et serviable.
Juste dommage que la piscine était en rénovation. Mais l’hôtel nous a offert tous les jours,le parasol et les transats pour la plage.

1.) The TV's in various rooms would not work after channel 20.

2.) The Pool was out of service in one of the most busiest parts of the year (Memorial Day 2026)

3.) The staff failed to mention that the room temperature would never lower less than 70 degrees.

4.) Although the staff was very nice, they weren't helpful with basic check-in and what the added costs were.

The front desk people were really nice, our flight got there around 7am and asked if we can check in our bags. They allowed us to change in their bathroom and when we returned they let us know that the manager was able to get us in a room early. As well as for checkout, they let us check in our bags till the afternoon. Overall, good experience very close to the beach and walkable to ocean drive and other convenient stores

You get what you pay for. I booked the single bedroom, and the bed was only slightly bigger than a twin size. The pictures advertise a pool, but it’s currently unavailable due to renovations, which was disappointing. They will hold your bags if you arrive early, but they do not offer early check-in.

If you’re mainly looking for a basic place to sleep, it does the job. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The lobby area is nice, but the rooms definitely don’t match the appearance of the common areas. There is plenty of shopping and food nearby, which was convenient. The lobby bar was okay, but drinks were pricey and they don’t serve food.

We loved our stay at the Albion! It's close to everything you could need and the hotel itself is really nice. However, the outdoor pool is not available for use. This was our only draw back as we specifically looked to booked a hotel with a pool.
The front staff confirmed pool should be done renos by end of May 2026.
Otherwise, I would definitely stay here again .

The convenience of the Albion Hotel was perfect for what we needed. Close to the beach and the Lincoln Road shopping strip. The room was comfortable and the staff cleaned it daily; very well. The breakfast was not included with our stay but was very good nonetheless. Our only complaints was that the pool was still under maintenance, but it was mentioned on the website; and we were somewhat surprised by a regular room, when our booking stated that a balcony and sofa would be part of our reservation. We didn’t make an issue of it because all of South Beach was already booked. In fact, we talked to a guest who had checked out and had to come back because he could not find another room. So, all in all, our stay was pleasant. When we go to the beach, we typically go to spend time outside in the sun anyway.

The pool was under construction. The noise was terrible starting at 8 AM. The pool being under construction, the garden was out too so the only place to sit in was the very tiny lobby with all the travelers and their luggage. The location is good, but I will definitely not recommend this hotel. It needs complete renovations and only one elevator was working.

Expedia lists property as \"on the beach\", but there is a walk of about 1200 feet to the beech. Also the restorant only serves breakfast, lunch and dinner are not available. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and clean.

The front desk staff at the Albion were incredibly amenable and kind. Hugo, Maha, Gian, and Carlos all went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, and Ricardo the bellhop was especially kind and attentive. Their warmth and professionalism truly made the stay enjoyable.
The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from South Beach, which made it very convenient to explore the area.
While the hotel itself could benefit from some upgrades and the pool is currently being repaired, the service more than made up for it. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
Overall, the excellent customer service, cleanliness, and location made for a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay again.

There was only one elevator working. Pool was not open and I was notified after I booked. I asked for an upgrade as it was a special occasion. They said yes. It ended up being a 2 - double bed room. For me and my partner.

Room was in good condition. Awkward layout with a tiny but mostly clean bathroom (it was difficult to open the door and squeeze into the bathroom). Biggest complaint ws the delay in getting the room ready made me late for a meeting that night which I purposefully flew in early for.
