The rooms were quite rundown, so much so that we asked to be moved, there were numerous problems. Our second room was reasonable. The lady in charge, Nancy at the front desk, is wonderful and she is very helpful and friendly. She wasn't there on the day we arrived, and on check-in we found her offsider rude and sulky, not even a smile. We called her down an hour or so later with a list of what was wrong in the room, but basically no response. The next day Nancy was there and everything ran smoothly, she apologised for the state of our room and we moved, which was easy as it was off-season.

Comfortable bungalows with a nice beach side pool

A nice beach side location with a nice pool and a bar to watch the sunset. Rooms are very basic and with a little care could be great as they look a little dated. Staff were friendly and the air conditioned bungalow was comfortable with good wifi. Unfortunately, when staying for 4 days you get to choose to have your room made up on 2 of those days...that's not how hotels are supposed to work is it?!

At check in discovered we had a second floor room with no limited mobility access and no air conditioning. You could open room door when it was locked. They did accommodate us by finding rooms but had to stay in first room for three nights. Then had to move four times during our three week stay. Cost went up by 50% and couldn't pay with Visa as it would then have to go through hotels.com. Cut into our holiday budget. Resteraunt was expensive with mediocre food.

Staff was no where to be found... Service was very slow at the restaurant we chose to eat Atlanta restaurant down the road.. Across the road is Amy's place we had a great time and she booked all of our adventures. For the price it was clean but dint expect any service.

Great staff, reasonable value

Staff were great and food was good. Pools were a bit dirty but you can use the pool from the resort next door. Room was basic and clean, but in a bit of disrepair. There was only one AC outlet in the room so had to unplug the fridge and TV to charge any phones, etc. The bed was the least comfortable of any I've slept in so far. Could feel the springs through the mattress.

No house keeping, room had a foul odor. I asked for another room but was told it was full. I later found out it wasn't. In hind sight, I should have walked away from it and the pre paid room.

It is what it is...

For people who are looking for the Hilton, this ain't it. That said, if you're looking for a relatively cheap room (fan not a/c) then this place is ok. I've read the reviews about rudeness of the staff. My take is that the people who felt this way aren't used to the way it is in Thailand. Ko Lanta is a mellow island, not crowded like Phi Phi or Phuket. I've found that if you are relaxed and open the way the Thai people are, you'll find that the people at New Lanta Beach Bungalows are wonderful people, giving and kind beyond most people. The staff at the beach bar became good friends over the days I spent there. Even though they didn't speak much English they genuinely wanted me to be happy and have fun and even invited me out with them at night. So, the bathroom might not be the nicest and perhaps you'll have to ask for a towel but the things that really matter, the experience I had and the friends I made far outweigh any flaws in the buildings. I'll be back. They also own the place across the street, Blue Andaman, where I also stayed as the rooms were cheaper and I only had to carry my bags about fifty feet. Beach is nice at high tide, at low tide it's rocky. Great pools, scooter rentals, decent food (I recommend trying the local street vendors) and cheap drinks including "Happy Shakes" made for a nice time. Side note: try the soft shell crab at Krau Kritsia a few minutes north of the hotel just before the Irie Bar.

Better places to stay

We booked this hotel because it was all that was available during the holidays. We stayed for three nights and we were a group of seven people. The rooms were nice; large, clean and comfortable. The location was okay, not close to anything, but we rented scooters and rode around the island into Old Town and such. The staff completely ruined our experience here. There was no communication between them and we ended up having to pay for two tours because one person had not told the other that we had to change it. We were yelled at at and told that we can't just change our minds at the last minute, when the second tour we booked was what we thought we were getting in the first place. Another man was being hassled before we came up to the counter as well, so it seemed like an ongoing issue. We stayed at two other places/locations during our time on this island and had a much better experience. Not worth the money at all.

Queda al final de la playa, un poco retirado de la zona de bares y restaurantes de playa. La comida es más cara dentro que en cualquier otro bar o restaurante. Muchas hormigas en las habitaciones, las piscinas deberian tener mejor limpieza aunque lanlimpieza en los Bungalows está bien.

Bra service, fint läge nära precis vid stranden, kanske inte den finaste stranden på Koh Lanta men en bra utgångspunkt. Uthyrning av motorbikes precis bredvid hotellet som även hjälper till med transfer. Två fina pooler finns också på området! Mycket prisvärt boende!

Ensam dam reser ensam

Helt ok för priset, frukosten bra men enahanda. Småsnåla med vattenflaskor och toapapper, möbler och dynor kring poolerna slitna och ofräscha. Restaurangen och baren inte så lockande, grillad fisk jättedyrt. Stranden vid lågvatten inte så inbjudande men trevliga barer med solsängar en bit söderut.

Hotellin huoneet siistit ja mukavat. Allas ihan ok. Sijainti hieman kaukana keskustasta, mutta skootterilla pääsee hyvin liikkumaan ja hotellilta saa tarvittavat kulkupelit. Hotellin ravintola ei montaa tähteä saa, mutta viereisen hotellin ravintola oli erinomainen.

Schöne Bungalowanlage mit Pool direkt am Strand

Für unseren Aufenthalt haben wir die Hälfte eines Bungalows bezogen. Die Anlage mit zwei Pools und Restaurant ist sehr schön angelegt und gut gepflegt. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist völlig in Ordnung und das Restaurant sowie die Bar ebenfalls sehr gut.

Flot sted. Elendig service. Værelset var fuld af fejl og mangler. Toilet der ikke kunne skylle, 3 pærer der ikke virkede. En aircondition der ikke kunne følge med og lækker vand.
Det kunne ellers have været have været et rigtig godt sted

Das Resort liegt an einem schönen Srand. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Essen im Restaurant ist o.k., jedoch stimmt beim Frühstück das Preis Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Die Bungalows sind renovierungsbedürftig.

Oude bungalow, 2 zwembaden

We kregen een oude bungalow ipv een nieuw "double building", wat 2 kamers in hield. Voor verschillende gasten.
De tv had geen kabeltje er in, dus snow only en geen afstandsbediening.
T was niet bepaald netjes. Het bed en handdoeken gelukkig wel.
Niet onderhouden gebouwtje, zonde!
Wel groter dan de nieuwe gebouwtjes. Was voor 3 personen.
Wel 2 zwembaden :o)
Het strand was niet fijn, met rotsen enzo meen ik.
Met scooter mooiere strandjes bereikbaar.

Lækker pool, god strand, restaurant ok. Selvom det kun ligger 1,3 km fra området med restauranter osv, så er det ikke gå afstand hvis man ikke vil køres ned, og der er mørkt på stranden. Billigt ja, jeg havde desværre fået booket 3 nætter med fan (fejl) så jeg måtte finde noget andet da solen stod direkte på rummet 6.00
Rent værelse; joeh, ikke på balkon, der var møg beskidt. Tror hvis man ka få en billig bungalow, ikke vil ud særligt men bare nyde poolen er det ok.

สถานที่ดีมาก มีสระว่ายน้ำ 2 สระ แต่ขาดการดูแล ฝักบัวรั่ว หลอดไฟขาด ลูกบิดประตูพัง สระว่ายน้ำไม่สะอาด ปิดเร็วตั้งแต่ 6 โมงเย็น เจ้าหน้าที่โรงแรมบริการดีแต่เหมือนเป็นคนในครอบครัวดูแลกันเองไม่ค่อยสนใจแขกมากนัก

Langt unna Long Beach. Hotellpersonal med under middels engelskkunnskaper. Koselig hotell restaurant på stranden, med god mat. Pen strand, men vil du svømme må du et annet sted, da det er fult av stein og småklipper. Renheten på rommet var forferdelig. Jeg og min reisevenninne har på ingen måte store krav til hotellrommene når vi er ute å reiser, men ser helst at det er nogen lunde rent. Hadde et toalett som sprutet på deg når du trakk ned. Det var noe jeg antok var salamanderbæsj på vasken og tannkrem på speilet etter de forrige som hadde bodd der. Midt oppi dette var et halvt disfunksjonellt dusjhode på veggen, som man hadde mindre lyst til å ta ibruk. Det var bare én lampe som fungerte på rommet. Viften i taket og på veggen var nok aldri rengjort... Under "taklisten"rundt hele taket var det en diger sprekk der det hele tiden løp salamandere i skytteltrafikk. Vi hadde booket hotellet og betalt for 10 netter, men endte opp med å flytte etter to.

la chambre n'a pas été nettoyée une seule fois sur les 4 jours passés. nous avons eu droit à un surclassement surement suite à réservation via hotels.com et heureusement car la chambre qui nous était destinée : sale... mauvaise odeur et bruit. Le lit : nous sentions tous les ressorts ! le plus : 2 piscines et la mer.

3stjärngt med väldigt små stjärnor!

Vi åkte till Koh Lanta och stannade två nätter på detta hotel då vi ville se något nytt på våran resa och inte bara Ao Nang! Detta hotel var i stort sett det enda som fanns att boka då det blev en impulstrip!
Detta hotel var helt klart det sämsta hotellet vi någonsin bott på i Thailand! Här är några saker:
•Skitigt, äckligt rentav.
• Ingen städning( vilket ska vara dagligen)
•Vatten ska ingå varje dag( fick inte en enda flaska)
•Riktigt dålig frukost(Jag är inte speciellt kräsen)
•Personalen är fruktansvärt arrogant, och vi blev erbjudna att köpa hasch vid poolen av de som jobbade där!
Skulle inte ens bo på detta om det var gratis!

Vi har lige været på hotellet i 6 dage.

Men billederne passer slet ikke, det er hyggeligt at opholde sig der, dejlig musik om aften.
Dog skal du bede dem om at gøre dit rum rent. Og der er ikke gratis vand. Der er kun thai tv. Og wc'et stank af kloak. Alt i alt, hytten var ikke godt, men steder lå godt, tæt på centrum og stadig kunne være sig selv.

Billigt, standard lav, budgetferie

OK til prisen, du får et sted at sove til en overkommelig pris, forventer du mere skal du ikke vælge dette hotel. Det er hyggeligt og ligger med adgang til vandet, 2 pools og egen (dyr) bar/restaurant ved vandet. Ikke ublu priser, men heller ikke det billigste.
Boede der tre dage og det var fint!

Inte som tänkt..

Jag skulle inte rekommendera er till att bo här. Visst, det ligger fint nere vid stranden. Men stränderna söderut är betydligt finare!
Rummet var en katastrof, dörren hängde på sned och fläkten var trasig. Vi bodde där i 5 nätter och dem städade inte en enda gång under vistelsen.
Kort och gott, det gick att sova där men det är inget jag gör om igen!
