Have stayed at this location before, it seems that this time there was some storm damage (roof leaks, giant fans in halls) to this location making it look a little rougher around the edges this time. Both times I have stayed now, the elevators were all covered in paper like there was construction. Could be a coincidence but seemed odd. Was disappointed that the bar/restaurant area wasn't open while we were there either. Staff was very friendly, which has been the case both times. Just seems the hotel needs some general maintenance to be done.

The staff at the hotel was great. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was run down, and the breakfast buffet was not good at all. We stayed 2 nights and didn't get fresh towels, nor did they make the bed or freshen up the room. I will not be staying at the Marriot again.

There was no room cleaning but that could be my fault for not reading the guidelines. I did have to go down to the front desk to get my own towels. And upon arrival there must’ve been a massive leak throughout the building. My entire floor was surrounded by industrial fans drying out the area area so we constantly had to walk around the fans. There was a lot of noise coming from these fans. It would have been better if someone would have given us a heads up that our room was in the middle of a disaster area

Very hi Justin good afternoon. How are you? I’m good. I’m sorry I’m eating my lunch real quick before 1 o’clock appointment I have but I wonder if I missed your call no, that’s fine. I’d rather talk through it cause I copied you on the most latest email that ever that was going around did you see if by chance I have not I can take a look well in a nutshell what’s going on one of my Key accounts overpaid they double paid a bill of $769,000 and they were basically told in the first attempt to see if we could reimburse it that they needed 60 days and you reimburse it. What do you mean by that reverse reverse and they were told so the customer was told that it would take us at least 60 days to do that if we could otherwise it would just send us a credit. Customer wasn’t satisfied with that response and then I guess apparently someone in the call center said you know what you have the option file PCO complaint not a good way to end that call just FYI so the customer came to me cause I’m their account rep and said what can you do to help us so I kind of started going down the path of asking you know David Turner, and my director well he’s our director now over here in Ohio. He recommended I go to use somebody else recommended I go another route so I kind of run in parallel people here everything I’m getting back from everyone else that you’ll see in that email saying we can’t do it well I just pulled up the account and my first my first thought given the balance is that they’re lik

Walked into our room and noticed a large piece of pealing paint. Noticed large bubbling behind the dry wall. Took a closer look and noticed an extremely large amount of mold! Photos were taken but not seeing an option to upload here. Speaking to multiple staff it appears this was a known issue. Yet upper management have not approved the proper expensive fix. It appears they would rather staff and guest get sick from mold then fix this issue. We’re we’re moved to a new room for the “inconvenience”. This was a conjoined room with a very loud party were up were yelling well past 2am. Safe to say this was not a relaxing trip.

Over all our stay was great. We always stay here when visiting family. The only complaint really is the bathroom sink and shower was still dirty from the last guest. There was hair in both places. BUT the room was very clean and the bed is so comfortable! We will continue to stay here.

Everything about my hotel stay was fine until checkout. I was under the impression that my room was going to cost $159 a night. Nothing at the time i booked said room indicated that each night would be a different charge. I was charged $159 for Thursday, $189 for Friday and $179 for Saturday. There were just about $100 \"hidden fees\" included in my stay that Expedia assured me did not exist. I will be making a formal complaint through both your hotel and Expedia. $622 for a 3 day stay in downtown Springfield is ridiculous.

Breakfast buffet was not a free serve yourself but a menu option in the restaurant, and then you got up and served yourself. Was expensive for what you got.

Didn't notice on arrival there was a smudge of something (dirt? body fluid? other??) on the duvet. In morning when leaving for the day, stopped at front desk asked if housekeeping service was daily or every other, was told every 3rd day, which I've never heard of, especially at Marriott. Asked in meantime for fresh bathmat, since ours was pretty wet, also asked that they replace duvet. On return to room that night, found wet bathmat still on floor and no duvet replacement. Called front desk, they sent housekeeper with just the light coverlet. Showed housekeeper the mess on the duvet, she was surprised and rushed out to get a new one, replaced it. Asked if we wanted the sheets changed, and we declined, was not necessary. Then reminded her of the bathmat, she had forgotten; again, she left and came back with one.

On day3 return to room that night, it was clean. Towels replaced, bed remade, garbage emptied but pillows were piled onto the chair and the cases were not clean. Called front desk,housekeeper came, she was confused about why she left the pillows. Changed them out. When we went to get into the bed, noticed the sheets themselves had not been changed, just bed remade. Next a.m. on way out told front desk, asked they be changed; that night on returning, they had been. Very disappointed in the housekeeping.

Location was good in proximatey for our needs, downtown area seemed safe and well maintained. Short-drive to restaurants and shopping that we needed to do. Room was decent and clean, had some very minor deferred maintenance needed. All hotel staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Only minor complaint was that in evening hours it was difficult to find parking. There was also construction that took up some of the parking so it may be better in the future. The construction noise was a bit annoying also in the weekday mornings while trying to sleep, but again, this is not a long-term issue.

Sketchy WiFi!

Hotel appears to be recently updated. Area around the hotel is a little sketchy with homeless appearing people on benches by the hotel day and night.

I am disabled and stayed at the hotel while my husband had things to tend to while in Springfield. I was unable to connect to the supposed Free Wi-Fi on my fairly new Apple phone. The desk clerk’s response was “that happens sometimes with newer phones”. What? I had to use my personal cellular data to entertain myself, when I should have been able to use the Wi-Fi for free with our booking.

Comfortable and clean hotel; good dining options in an enclosed public market across the street. We stayed one night, and the only issue is that in the morning, we were repeatedly asked when we were leaving. Check out was at noon. My husband went to take a big suitcase out early, and a staff person followed him out to the parking lot and asked if he was leaving. Someone called the room and asked when we were leaving. An hour later, my husband was again asked when we were leaving. We checked out by noon, and at two minutes past, I met my husband in the lobby so we could go out to the car, and the woman behind the desk, when I came in, said hello and I said hello back, and when I walked past her to another part of the lobby where my husband was, she said, 'Excuse me, can I HELP you?' which just felt so weird and unfriendly. Maybe the latter incident happened because they are a downtown hotel so they have to be a little guarded, but the vibe in the morning was definitely 'get out of here' to paying guests, even well before check out. But great AC. I'll give them that!

Nice room, sleep not so great

Hotel was in a nice location and the staff was very friendly. While the room was clean, sleeping wasnt easy. The air conditioner would make a loud thumping sound when it kicked on, the hotel is very close to a noisy train track, and while the courtyard was beautiful it was alway occupied by homeless people. The good parts where that we could walk to the farmers market and to a few stores and restaurants also. We had a balcony room and the balconly had a great view of down town.

The staff is without question amazing! The front desk was welcoming and the staff at the bar is without doubt top notch!. As much as I love the building, the rooms are starting to show their age, and wear and tear. Hopefully the owners are going to put money into that area soon before it gets ahead of them. My room have water spots and glue on the wall where they tried to fix it, and the top had rust in the bottom. The equipment in the fitness room is definitely showing wear and tear, and in need of being replaced in many cases. The staff is the sole reason I keep coming back here

We were fortunate to arrive as the city Halloween Party was beginning. There were hundreds of families out with their kids, a few dogs. The hotel is a perfect location, easy parking. Staff was helpful and friendly. We ate at the hotel restaurant, great dinner. 'As two women, we felt very safe.

Great hotel. Clean, staff really professional and nice. Great place to stay for a fast night cap. Unfortunately town, while beautiful, is bare of amenities. Woke up Monday at 9am and told every place is closed on Mondays. We did find a coffee shop at least to get a coffee.

We like the location and vibe of this hotel. We have stayed here a couple of times. It is nice to have a restaurant and bar in the hotel. We have ordered food and drinks each stay. The selection and quality of the food is good. The only issue we had this visit was not getting the scheduled room cleaning service. We booked the room for 4 nights. I was told that we would have cleaning service every other day which, is totally acceptable to me. However, the third day came and we received no cleaning. When asked if we could get a cleaning, we were told that MAYBE they could squeeze our room into the schedule but, at the very least they would refresh our towels and empty the trash. Well, they did bring fresh towels and wash cloths but did nothing else. We were not requesting an additional cleaning, only the one we were scheduled for. I found that disappointing. Other than that, it was a good stay. I will book here again in the future but I will stress the importance of a scheduled cleaning when I do so. I recommend this hotel.
