We had a room change to a lesser room. It was dirty with damp stains. The shower didn’t have any hot water. And when it did get some it was far too hot. And only lasted a couple of seconds.
The aircon didn’t work it was kicking out hot air.

The food was poor. And didn’t really have enough for a vegetarian to eat. The tongs were all mixed up so I didn’t feel comfortable eating there.

The staff were really really nice though.

Warning, I paid loads more than other hotels in the area because I wanted to lay by the pool. However there is a huge construction project right next door, so the pool was unusable because of the noise. I also paid extra for sea view and balcony however I was on level 2 so I only saw glimpses of water through the trees

Shower over bath was very hard to access. Very high and the bath surface was quite slippery.
Also, the room needs new flooring urgently as the underlay was crackling with each step.
Close to beach and it had a lovely spa with sauna for guests.

Room was spacious never vaccumned and shorted towels. A rather pungent aroma on entering the lobby from cleaning fluid. Dinner buffet awful.

Overall the hotel was very nice. Good facilities and very hand for the transport with the bus stopping right outside the property. Unfortunately there was a building site immediately next door to the hotel, whihc was outside the control of the hotel. The work started fairly early in the morning and went on all day.

Perfect hotel and exactly what I was looking for. Easy access to bus lines which are excellent. Offered a great buffet breakfast. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and able to answer all my questions as I tried to navigate public transport. It's across the street from a free public beach that is beautiful. Pool and spa are lovely and they let me use the facilties after checking out early and while waiting for a late flight. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Uvala. The location is excellent—close to the beach, restaurants, and easy access to the old town by bus. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had a beautiful view from our balcony. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, which really made a difference.

The only downside was the bathroom. While it was clean, the bathtub was quite high and a bit tricky to get in and out of. The shower doors didn’t seal properly, so water would often spill onto the floor, and the shower head didn’t stay fixed on the wall. Because of this, the bathroom didn’t quite meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and great service

We had a pleasant stay at Uvala. It’s in a great position, close to beach and restaurants. It is very “tired” and in need of renovation. Photo on site is deceiving as you aren’t as close to the beach as it looks . You are up the hill. You have to cut through the hotel across the road to walk through to the beach .

Cons:
Dates decor in room, noisy building work ongoing currently and some parts of breakfast could have tasted a little nicer (eggs and beans).

Overall an enjoyable stay and we would stay there again.

This hotel advertises AC but doesn’t actually have it available until they decide to turn it on for the whole building. In our case, it wasn’t on when we arrived and was told it won’t be on until mid-May. The rooms were also really old and not aesthetically pleasing, to nicely put it. The pools are small and patio is small. The food is garbage, definitely low-quality, store-bought food that gets microwaved or quickly cooked before serving. The drinks were good enough. We only stayed 1 night out of the 4 we booked for. It took a lot of reasoning on our end and through Expedia with the hotel management and sales team to get a refund. We wanted to leave an hour after checking in but they insisted we stay 1 night…

A lovely hotel. So glad we chose to stay here. Excellent transport links into Dubrovnik old town. The breakfast was fabulous. Lots of choice and staff were very attentive. Our air con was fixed immediately after reporting it. It was in a lovely, quiet area of Lapad with plenty of choice of restaurants near by and a nice (pebble) beach to watch the sunset from. Would definitely recommend.

Girls trip to Dubrovnik.

This hotel is in a great location. It overlooks the sea and is only a short walk to many great restaurants and gift shops. The bus into old town is right out the front.
The hotel itself is a little tired and dated but the rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff were very accommodating and offered assistance when asked.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel for what it is needs some updates. Simple things to elevate the experience. Shower was leaking all over the place and room was outdated and stained carpet and yellow caulking around the bathroom. For a spa place it was clean but no robes and staff while friendly was not registered and or trained in massage therapy. Walked away more sore and stiff then relaxed. Disappointing as main reason of staying at this hotel was for the spa experience. Staff was great and beyond friendly. Location is perfect and close walk to the sea and bus is a short trip to old town.

Hotel is in a good location, close to local bars, restaurants, beach and supermarket. There is also a bus stop right outside for access to the old town, although we did not use this service.
The swimming pool and spa facilities were very good.
Breakfast was reasonable with a good selection although this seemed to be the same everyday.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
The room was also a good size with comfortable bed, air conditioning and a good sized balcony. Bathroom quite dated but adequate.

A minor surprise was the temperature of the outside pool which was very cold. It was not heated and in it's position, the sun didn't get to it either so very cold. But the sea is very close and was very pleasant at around 22C, so I just swam in the sea!

The hotel was in a nice location close to the beach and restaurants. The pool area was nice and the breakfast was decent. However this is not a 4 star hotel it is way too expensive for the condition the hotel is in. The room was so old fashioned, the bathroom was so clinical looking and the lights in the bedroom reminded me of a hospital I couldn’t relax in the room at all. Also I requested a high floored room weeks in advanced for the best view and was given one on the 2nd floor behind a tree so I paid a lot of extra money for a view of a tree and the roof of the breakfast area. I realise they can’t give everyone a high room but how far in advance would I have to request one. The pictures Online also make the balconies look like they are so open and full of sunlight. They are dark and never get the sun so I couldn’t even enjoy the balcony. Overall I was very dissapointed. We decided to treat ourselves staying in this hotel as the pictures looks amazing but we shouldn’t have bothered and went for a cheaper option because at least then you get what you pay for.

I was really happy with the Hotel Uvala. Check-in and check-out were swift, friendly and straightforward. Breakfast was lovely with lots of options, and the pool area was stunning with fantastic views. Being 100m from the beach was perfect, and the bus stop outside was so convenient. The only negative was that some of the towels in the room were dirty when we arrived, and the bathroom floor and bath could have been cleaner. That aside, everything else was brilliant. Thank you!

This hotel overall was very nice to stay in. The location was perfect, even a local suggested that the best beach was the one right outside of the hotel. The area is not as expensive as the old town, and there is a bus right outside the front of the hotel - very convenient and easy to use. The room was great, very spacious and the air con worked well. The hairdryer is outdated and should be replaced with a better one. I booked a sea view room however I was on level 2 so I didn’t get much view of the sea as I wasn’t very high up…. I would not recommend paying for dinner as the options are very low. Breakfast was okay, options of eggs, sausages, pastries, meats & cheeses, and cereal. One morning there was mouldy lemon visible which wasn’t nice to see. The spa and wellness facilities was great. I would recommend getting a massage.

From check in, to dinner, to the pool service & spa areas, we had a wonderful experience. Also, i liked that it was up the road in a quieter area of town than some of the other places we saw. I would definitely recommend this place & stay here again.

Really lovely hotel and great location. Hotel was clean, comfy and well looked after and our sea view was fantastic. Air con was also amazing! If I was to be really picky I would just say that the lunch/dinner service could have been better. We didn’t really know what we had to do or what was on offer, otherwise we would have used the restaurant more. Sunbeds also very limited but this didn’t bother us specifically as we were happy going down to the beach, but again, would've used the pool more if there was space available.

Pillows are hard.
Bathroom outdates the bedroom it’s has not been refurbed.
Sea view on 2nd floor is blocked by the trees out the front from sister hotel vis, would go for 3rd or 4th floor next time.
Breakfast offering is limited, and had to ask several times for the items to be refilled eg croissants, bacon, eggs, there should be more attention to detail from the kitchen staff. Breakfast service on the buffet bar was insufficient, fruit salad was tinned fruit, not fresh fruit!

Great hotel, great location.

Great location and staff. Breakfast was solid. Only complaint would be that it’s a little date (fresh coat of paint could do wonders). Other than that, great hotel. Live music a couple of nights per week but would also be helpful to advertise that as well.
