Nice property with alpaca's roaming the property my dog loved the stay as well great exercise for him a bit hilly for me but all in all beautiful i would definatly consider going back for another weekend away , close to torquay dog beach and all other beaches jan juc bells beach all a quick 10 mins drive down the rd

Pleasant & peaceful stay

Pleasant short family stay with our 18 month old daughter. We stayed in Valley view cottage and the owner helped with a barricade for the stairs to stop our daughter from going up & down. Good friendly owners (and their hobby farm animals). Good communication. Would stay again.

Booked this place for the spa and it did not work. There also was not even enough hot water to fill it, so instead of a hot spa, I could only manage a luke warm bath. Very disappointed.

Loved the relaxed nature of the stay, we really relaxed and the children enjoyed the animals. We took a while to get used to living closely to neighbours but we all respected each other and it wasnt noisy - the frogs sang at night and alpacas wandered up to say Hello. All in all a wonderful short break

Excellent indoor pool and kids also loved the trampoline and cubby house. Nice quiet spot with bush surrounds. Kids also loved watching the alpacas and pony wandering around the house. Cottage inside has been tastefully renovated.

Nothing not to love! We are staying another night as this place was so welcoming and peaceful. After twenty years away from Australia this place was like home and just want we needed. Terry the owner puts a lot of effort into his business and you’ll see llamas and a pony wandering around, cottage has everything you could need, wonderful location etc. I actually cried when we checked into our room as it felt so homey after much previous stress. Highly recommend!!!!!!

The cottage we had was super clean and spacious. Much bigger than we had expected! The grounds there are stunning to wake up to - we wished we were staying longer! Terry was very helpful and accommodating! We can’t wait to find a reason to come back!

Overall it's great as it is only approximately 1 hour from Melbourne.
You have the beauty of serene country in a cottage style environment and only about 8 minutes from the beach.

This is a lovely relaxing place to stay. The villa was well stocked with cooking utensils so cooking a meal was easy. I would recommend this place to people wanting a break from the hustle of Melbourne City.

Close to the Bells Action!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the cottages! We rented the studio cottage over the Easter break to be nice and close to Bells Beach for the surfing comp and it was absolutely perfect for us (my husband, myself and our 11 month old.)

Great option for a couple or couple with young baby!

Fantastic potential, lacking a bit in maintenance

Terry, the manager, is a very friendly person, but needs some help to run the place. Spiders are slowly taking over the property with cobwebs lining the walls in the pool room and the ceiling of the reception train carriage. I had to duck a few times. The room in the cottage was very cozy and pleasant. The old style furniture some have complained about didn't bother us. The oven of the stove was dirty and the tray in it had leftovers of some roast from years past. Tried to clean a couple of glasses and stained mugs but the tea towel smelled terrible. Some dust webs in the ceiling and behind the bed should be cleaned away, as should the dirt around the shower head. The mattress was way past its use-by-date which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The walls and ceiling could do with some more insulation since you could hear everything going on next door/upstairs. No chance of going to sleep until the people next door turned their TV off. Woke up several times from the thumping and loud creaking of people simply walking around upstairs. Incidentally the clock radio was turned off and after turning it on it couldn't be set since the display was broken.

Pleasant enough, but nothing special about it.

Just your average accommodation with every thing you might need. Was in a nice location and only 5-10 minutes drive to what we were there for.
We would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet country experience (after getting to know the area, next time I'd prefer being in close walking distance to beaches and beach side towns).
Only down side was that some of the furniture has passed it's use by date and was dusty and not very comfortable to sit on.

Wonderful, home away from home.

Just perfect!
An abundance of farm animals that are child friendly. Indoor pool and games room was popular. The cottage had every convenience needed & a fire place for those chilly nights + a relaxing spa bath.
Recommended it to everyone.

Quiet cottage with animals walking freely around.

My family and I decided on Bells Estate as it seemed like a friendly place with animals walking about and having 20 month old twins they loved it. Walking around and seeing the animals. There was also an area for the kids to play in with slides and soccer goals. Lots of land to roam around. The owner was lovely and came to introduce themselves and invited us to come with the kids to help feed the animals (alpacas, Coffee the pony and chickens). We will stay there again.

A pleasant and comfortable cottage.

A friend and I organised to stay here for a girls' weekend away with our daughters, thinking we would make the most of the pool, playground and animals. However, the cottage was so comfortable and well equipped that we spent most of our time lounging around and catching up inside the cottage. It's decor is a little dated but the cottage is immaculate and Terry is very accommodating. A great find close to the beach.

Has potential, but disappointing

The premise of this hotel is good: a cozy cottage on farmland close to the beach. Unfortunately the place just isn't up to scratch. The fit-out of the cottages (kitchen, bathroom, bedding and appliances) all date to the 80s or 90s and look very dated and a bit grubby. We stayed in several hotels and cottages around the same price point during this trip and this one was way off the mark.
