Good choice in Biel
The location is good for doing things in the city; all was fine, less expensive than most places in town.

Basic hotel with simple breakfast, 15 minute walk from the train station. No one was at reception when I arrived and I called the number indicated three times before someone arrived to give me keys. There was a carnival set up outside and construction or something happening early in the morning, so it wasn't the most peaceful stay but worked fine for a night.

Only issue was that it was kind of cold in the room, and the bed only had 1 sheet. After asking for a blanket to be warmer in bed, we got 2 extra sheets. Satisfactory but not exactly luxurious.

I stayed at Hotel Dufour in Biel while visiting Switzerland for my daughter's wedding. It was a nice place to stay, the only issue I had was with the door at night. The hotel doesn't have a night receptionist and after 12 am you cannot get back into the hotel. However, most of the time this was not an issue for me, but it was a hassle making sure I got back to the hotel before 12 am. Overall, if you're looking for a clean hotel right in Biel for a good price, this is the hotel for you.

We stayed at Hotel Dufour in Biel while visiting Switzerland for our daughter's wedding. The hotel was clean and comfortable, however there isn't a night receptionist so make sure you take the night door key with you whenever you leave in case you don't make it back in time. The breakfast was a basic european breakfast, and sometimes the hallways smelled a bit like curry (there is an indian restaurant below the hotel) but it wasn't a problem for us as the actual room didn't smell and was very clean. overall, it was a pleasant stay and a good deal for the price compared to some of the other hotels in Biel. We would definitely stay there again.

Reasonably priced and pleasant hotel
I really liked Hotel Dufour - it was just what I needed, a fairly priced/affordable hotel room in central Biel/Bienne for an overnight stay. Room was a really good size, washing facilities fine. As a tea-drinking Brit, I really missed a kettle and tea making facilities, but I was happy with breakfast and the waiter and receptionist were both really helpful and nice.

My Dufour
Hotel is accessible and centrally located to Ville de Biel/Bienne. Close to Biel/Bieene main train station, shopping center/stores and easy access to city main transport system and services. Good hearty breakfast is served each morning. A bit hot and humid during the day but at night it is very pleasant. Hotel management and service is excellent except for laundry services which definitely needs to improvement.

Es ist eine sehr lange Geschichte mit diese auf Inhalt. Unglaublich schlechte Erfahrung… es gibt keine Rezeption. Niemand ist dort. Wir sind gegen 15:00 Uhr ins Hotel eingetroffen. Keine Empfang. Man man muss Hotel auf private Nummer telefonieren echt dann erscheint jemand zum einchecken. Der Doppelzimmer ist keine Standard wird. Es ist ziemlich sehr klein für zwei Personen einen Deckel ( No Go )
- Heizung war sehr heiss eingestellt. Man konnte nicht verstellen alle drei Zimmer.
- das Bad ist eng Passt nur eine Person rein.
Rote Lampen.. Eine Zimmer von uns wurde doppelt verkauft. Als wir gegen 21:00 Uhr zurück kam, lag eine Frau auf dem Bett. Und schleppt unsere Koffer irgendwo im Lobby. Ausser sie haben unsere private Gegenstände gesammelt und von Zimmer rausgenommen. Als wir zurück kamen, sind wir schockiert. Also so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Stellt euch vor, wenn eure Gegenstände wertvoller Sinn, es könnte jeden dann klauen.. und keine würde es garantieren.
Wenn wir gewusst hätten, circa 20 Fr. mehr auszugeben nehmen dann ist eine vier Stein Hotel Nebenmann haben wir so ist das nicht erleben müssen.

L’hôtel Dufour m’a impressionné par sa propreté. Tout était en place et le personnel très attentionné. Le petit déjeuner était aussi complet et bon comme on pourrait le souhaiter. L’emplacement est également idéal car se situant à 15 minutes à pieds de la gare de Bienne et non loin des restaurants et magasins du centre ville. Je le recommande à tous.

Bon rapport qualité/ prix, bien situé près de la vieille ville et des commerces. Le restaurant est indien, très bon. Le personnel est peu accueillant et ne parle pas français. Chambre assez propre malgré les trous dans les draps de lit. Salle de bain propre. Pas de minibar ou possibilité de boire un café en chambre.

Sejour convenable . La chambre est tout a fait correct. Dommage la coffre dans la chambre est inaccesible et ne semble pas reelement securiser. Le manage est effectuer tout les jours et tout a fait correct. Un gros point negatif sur la receptioniste ne parlant pas francais et seulement allemant ce qui limite les discours surtout lorsque l'on souhaite une facture de la chambre que l'on demande de payer des son arriver et que malgrer les demande rien n'est donner mais semblerait qu'il vont l'envoyer par courrier ( mm si on habite en france ? ) un peu cher pour eux nn ?!

Der größte Vorteil des Hotels ist auch der Nachteil: Zentral gelegen, angrenzend an 2 Straßen mit Verkehr auch Nachts.
Leider hat das Hotel wohl nur an einer Seite die Fenster erneuert, bei Räumen mit den alten Fenstern sind die Straßengeräusche deutlich zu hören.
In meinem Zimmer war ein lautes Brummgeräusch (Abzug von Restaurant?) zu hören, das aber zum Glück bei Nacht bis auch in den Morgen hinein nicht vorhanden war.
Parkplatz gibt es direkt vor dem Hotel, aber nur Umsonst von 20:00 - 7:00, ansonsten 3SFr pro 1 1/2 Std (Nachzahlen verboten). Das sollte erwähnt werden auf der Hotels Webseite!

Horrible mattress - stay away if want a good sleep
I experienced old worn mattress before, this one however was the worst!!
In the middle you basically broke through to the ground...totally worn - wouldnt even call that a mattress anymore. One of the most important things in a hotel us a good bed to have a good sleep...if thats not possible the rest really doesn‘t matter.
Then I went for breakfast - there was no bread left at 09:30 (ok...some ugly looking something) so I grabbed something elsewhere and didnt try it anymore next day.

Hôtel bien placé au centre ville. Ce qui donne un inconvénient: il y a un peu de bruit a cause de la ville parce que le bâtiment n’est pas bien insonorisé. Ne parle pas français et très mal l’anglais donc difficile à se faire comprendre. Quelques petits couacs mais sans gravité. Le restaurant indien est top. Buffet petit déjeuner simple. Chambre un peu vieillotte mais propre. Literie bien. Pour résumer: bien pour les personnes pas compliquées
