Quite simply the nicest and friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. We arrived early and they very kindly let us in to our room. The seafront location is brilliant, it is amazing to sit and watch the surfers from the terrace bar and the food in the restaurant was very good indeed. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the parking easy and convenient. We are already looking forward to coming again.

Very comfortable rooms with great views of the ocean. I spent a few days here and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

If you are looking to splurge a bit in Capbreton, it is definitely worth it. I had rain and wind while I was there, but can imagine the views of the sunset would be stunning with one of the ocean view rooms.

Lovely hotel with great views.

Situated on the beach with lovely views of the coast line. The staff were very attentive to any needs in the bar and restaurant. The restaurant served very good food in the evening and the usual continental buffet fayre in the morning, again the breakfast staff were on the ball replenishing dishes, clearing tables so there were no ques during busy periods.
We enjoyed our one night stay so much during our outward journey that we re booked a room for the return leg.

Nous avons été très déçu de la prestation de l'hotel qui se dit haut de gamme. Nous avions pris une des 'junior suites' disposant de la vue sur la mer.
De façon générale, les prix des chambres sont très élevés par rapport aux prestations proposées. L'hotel est un spa, car il propose des massages. Mais dispose uniquement d'un sauna (intérieur) et d'une piscine extérieure. A 160 EUR par nuit on s'attendait a un meilleur accueil.

La chambre ne correspondait pas aux photos et disposait d une vue partielle sur la mer.
Arrivée a l'hotel: absence totale d'explication des services proposes par l'hotel
Dans la chambre: pas papier permettant de choisir le petit déjeuner le 2nd jour, pas de stylo, pas de signe ne pas déranger
Service de nettoyage: Une femme de menage est rentrée sans frapper pour faire le menage, je sortais de la douche et j'étais nue : aucune excuse de la part du service de manger ou de l'hotel lorsque nous l'avons signalé.

Sauna: aucune serviette mise a disposition.
Autre: un service wifi très faible

Beautiful high quality seafront hotel

Really lovely hotel. Clean, spacious room with a beautiful view of the sea, comfortable bed. Lovely lounge/terrace for drinks overlooking the sea, breakfast varied and good quality. Very helpful and courteous staff, nothing too much trouble. Organised our transfers from the airport which meant we got a discount from the taxi company. Not lots to do in the area unless you're a surfer if the weather is poor, which it was for us, but several very nice restaurants locally and nice walks, short walk to the gorgeous little town centre. Lovely place for a few nights relaxing stay.

Excellent unfussy service,prime location-recommend

Excellent service, prime seafront location with sea view from terrace of bedroom. We took the superior double room and there is a generous size with generous sized bathroom. The only downside was that the large terrace was not exposed to the sun apart from before 8 AM and after 6 PM, but then we are only 20m from the shore.

Expensive for what you get.

We recently stayed at this hotel for our mini moon. The hotel when you walk in seems nice, the restaurant area is new and it gets off to a good start. We stayed in a suite for 4 nights and the decor etc is fine. However, the rooms are not very big and for the cost, not that comfortable. Our coffee cups used on the first night we’re not replaced until day 4 and our room was often being cleaned at 17.30pm when we had been out all day. Finally the spa, is in fact a sauna cabin in a small room. I booked a massage and when I turned up it had been booked for two days after I checked out. Breakfast was average and overall for the price, the hotel doesn’t give you a lot for your money! I would return to the area as it’s a wonderful part of France but I wouldn’t stay here.

Few days in Capbreton

For the price the hotel was good. They were just finishing off some renovation work but it didn't interfere with our stay. Breakfast was good - continental but plenty of choice. We had one of the smaller rooms but it was fine and still had a small balcony. The pool was good and staff were very helpful. Car parking was free but I think they may charge in the summer. Good promenade to walk along and choice of restaurants on the front.

Stunning views over the sea, comfortable and clean

The hotel would have been perfect except for the works being carried out on some of the rooms. Too bad if you wanted an afternoon nap for the drilling and general works. The basement parking was also closed and we had to leave the car in their open car park which we felt a little unsure as we were driving up from Spain and our car was more than overloaded and did not want a break in. We travelled with our 2 dogs which was no problems at all, dog dishes and a treat was waiting for them in our room. The view was stunning and the breakfast had plenty of choice. Overall without the building works it is a fab place to stay and would come again.

Hotel That Needs An Identity

This is a good hotel but could easily be a great hotel as it has the location and some of the basis for a 4 star hotel but sadly lacks the minor detail especially in the rooms so only a good 3 star. A previous review stated this was part of the sports clinic next door before it was converted to a hotel and had they spent a little more on the rooms it could be so good. The rooms are good size but the furniture is cheap basic and lacks a few comfort items like a chair only very hard stools, the door between the corridor blocks one of the wardrobes which could have been better placed to prevent this happening. The bathroom has a walk in shower wet room and is nice but lack of any shelving so they have added a tacky shelve above the sink that makes the sink dark. The electric heated towel rail is excellent as is the towels that are large and fluffy. The wall finish is poor and are painted concreate complete with small air holes making it look like a shot gun has been fired at them, a simple plaster skim would do so much as well as improved finishes in other areas. Go to reception and all change and a 4 star look and feel. Decor throughout is retro in areas and not sure it works. The hotel seems to have an identity crisis but add a few nice touches and could be good. A few issues like you only get one toilet roll so if you run out you have to ask or improvise why not add a second holder and leave a spare? Grounds are poor and not maintained like the sports clinic next door.

Wonderful 2 night stay

On the beach, with a GREAT VIEW of the beach and the waves. One night and day the wind picked up and the waves were huge. Very enjoyable watching from our balcony. Rented bikes from the hotel and checked out the area. Lots of places to eat and drink. Went to surf school with one day from the surf shop directly across the street from the hotel. Had a couples massage in the hotel. All and all it was a great stay.

Our Junior Suite was good and very comfortable. The service given by reception staff was good. The breakfast was very good , however the evening meal was of good quality but very expensive for what it was. Better value can be had in nearby eating places. With the bad weather we unfortunately had, the underground parking was worth paying for. We would stay again.

Nice hotel, close to the beach

The hotel was ok. The location is the best about it. Breakfast was very disappointing considering it's in France. We didn't like the Mc Donalds style tray's or the fact that coffee came from a Machine like in a patrol station. The baguette was like rubber and the scrambled egg was from powder. However, the staff were very friendly and the room really nice. There are also lots of nice restaurants in walking distance.

The location is wonderful, as it is right on the boardwalk, and the Reception staff is very pleasant. However, the room was a huge disappointment. It was outdated, had a dirty carpet, and did not look like the photos. The bathroom was horrible and dark, and the shower is totally open causing the water to flood all over. (It seems that the hotel used to be a rehab clinic, and they never updated the bathrooms). It was certainly not worth the $ 250+ per night.

For lunch, we tried to eat at the terrace restaurant, but it was full. We were then told that we could have tapas in the lounge area, so we found a couch and waited for a waitress. When one did not come for quite a long time, my husband went in to the bar to ask for service. He said that they had just run out of tapas. What kind of restaurant runs out of tapas at 13:15? Luckily, we left and found a great little restaurant close by with excellent food AND service.

The room was a good size, clean and well furnished with a part sea view. The bathroom had a smart power shower and basin and a separate loo in a roomy corridor setting away from the bedroom. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area for drinks and one can also dine inside and out.

Overall the hotel was good. Very slow lifts but at least there were two of them. For the rating of the hotel I thought the breakfast was not up to standard - limited range to choose from. The scrambled eggs were like soup as well! Found the reception staff lovely and helpful but the waiters off hand and uninterested.

If you have a Bamboo room just expect something quite ordinary. We were on the ground floor overlooking the service road. Unfortunately the weather was poor and it really would have been nice to have somewhere to sit in the room. The terrace was sheltered from the wind but the plastic chairs were so uncomfortable. It is a shame that they could not provide something of a better quality. The standard in the public spaces was excellent as was the service and breakfast. There are a number of excellent restaurants offering Menus at 12 to 15 Euros if you don't want to pay the 32 Euros that the hotel charges.

This is an excellent hotel on par with a Marriott in the U.S. The hotel was on the ocean with a great view. Breakfast had several options including some hot food. Staff spoke English and were very friendly The only reason for a 4 in comfort is because the beds were harder than I would have liked. The rooms were a good size with the shower and sink in one room and the toilet in another making it convenient for several people to get ready at once. It was in a quiet area but nightlife was a easy walk away. I would stay there again.

If you are going for the surf the point break is only a few kilometers from the hotel up the beach but you have to walk around a bay which is 6 or 7 kilometers. Easy town to drive in

***BEST OCEAN FACING IN CAPBRETON***

Great modern hotel with functionnals and clean room. Good quality food at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Great hotel to stay in if you fancy making the most of the ocean and the surrounding area without necessary renting a car during your entire stay. The inside pool (payable) is top quality with an amazing view of the ocean. Breakfast is simple and good value if you share it with a kid, as it is free for under 12 I think.

Stayed here for 12 days due to business in the area. The staff was always helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I had one of the lower price rooms, but it had a nice deck for relaxing with a drink. The location is right on the beach and there are plenty of dining options in the area within walking distance. My only complaint, a minor one, is that some days I did not want/need my room cleaned and the sign on the door for no disturbance was consistently ignored.

Hôtel un peu « dans son jus ». Surtout déçu de la vue mer qui était en fait une vue latérale mer. Et en plus du côté où il y a un bâtiment moche. À y retourner je n’irais en tout ça pas dans cette chambre et le descriptif doit être clarifié car entre le nord et le sud du bâtiment c’est pas du tout pareil.
Sinon l’emplacement est bien.

Un très bon séjour

Très bon séjour. L'hôtel est en bord de plage et à proximité des restaurants et commerces. Il est calme.

On dispose de tout ce que peut proposer un hotel de ce type. Le restaurant est correct et l'offre petit déjeuner est pléthorique et, qui plus est, avec des produits locaux.

Dommage beaucoup de potentiel.

Emplacement exceptionnel, chambre spacieuse et petit déjeuner varié et qualitatif en particulier (cake, pastis landais, yaourts, confitures, pain graines)
Maintenant ce que nous avons regretté dans la chambre éclairage triste et insuffisant, frigo vide. Repas du soir sans carte. Déco de l'hôtel sans âme et sans personnalité sauf les ascenseurs.

Mi pareja se encontraba mal del estomago, vomitando todo el día, a la hora de la cena les pedimos por favor si nos podían hacer una tortilla de 2 huevos y nos dijeron que no.

La chambre était très jolie et très propre avec une belle vue sur l'océan, idéale pour un couple. Cependant nous sommes arrivé dans la chambre et le chauffage était mis à 30 degré il faisait donc énormément chaud, nous avons donc baissé le thermostat mais malgré ça une chaleur toujours présente pour la nuit. Ensuite petit désagrément quand nous avons entendu l'ascenseur toute la nuit du moins lorsque une personne le prenait. Un peu déçu de cela.

super emplacement mais de sérieux problèmes

situation exceptionnelle, accueil 5 étoiles, chambres très propres... tout était réuni pour un séjour extraordinaire sauf que.....
1: nous avons voulu prendre un verre au bar... aucune place, j'ai du affronter la tempête pour boire un verre ailleurs.... mais le responsable de la salle a autorisé une personne seule à bloquer 6 places, sans réagir
2: la chambre a le wifi.... mais pour brancher mon ordi j'aurais dû me mettre à 4 pattes pour trouver la prise, sous le bureau. J'ai 73 ans et pèse 130 kilos... c'est plus de mon âge. photos sur demande

étape d'une soirée avec repas sur place.
Restauration de très bonne qualité avec un choix toutefois limité à un menu. Pas de choix non plus pour le vin au verre (pas de demi bouteille)
L'hôtel est idéalement situé en bord immédiat de la plage et d'une très bonne tenue. Accueil au top.
Le seul point d'insatisfaction concerne l'éclairage extérieur (public ?) qui illumine la chambre (pas de stores) toute la nuit.

El alojamiento está genial, la habitación, aunque daba a la parte de atrás tenía una terraza con jardín y el desayuno muy completo y con unas vistas preciosas. El personal muy amable en todo momento. Merece la pena alquilar unas bicicletas allí mismo y recorrer el carril bici.

Fabuleux, du personnel au lieu et à la vue ocean.

Les 3 nuits passées au baya ont été fantastiques en tous points.
La vue sur l'océan est époustouflante.
Le personnel de l'hôtel, du restaurant et du centre de massage est tout simplement adorable et sait se rendre disponible.
Tous les espaces sont très propres, bien conçus et accueillants.
Nous comptons donc y retourner dès cet été.
