Received a very warm welcome at Mountaineer Lodge. We had booked one standard room and one King room. The standard room was incredibly small but fortunately we were able to upgrade to a second King room for a small extra charge. (Only one king room had been available at time of booking). King rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was adequate. Easy parking and a good selection of restaurants within easy walking distance. Good recommendations from reception staff.

Clean, nice size for rooms, nice location but had moments where it was loud due to being right by the train tracks. Spa and steam room were a nice touch. We were on the second floor and the lack of elevator was a bit of a trouble with luggage. Staff was very kind and efficient.

Of course the setting in Lake Louise is wonderful no matter where you are but this hotel is close to a busy intersection and train tracks so expect noisy freight trains throughout the day and night especially if your room is on that side. typical 2 star amenities and decent breakfast buffet but is extra and no longer included. Very large hot tub that is clean and well maintained. note that there is no elevator which could be a challenge with heavy bags for second floor rooms. the beds were comfortable but pillows awful. rooms and bath have been updated in our main lodge room. the other building has laundry facilities. the shopping center across the street has cafes, restaurants, shops.

Great hotel in an excellent location especially if you plan to do the sunrise tour to Moraine Lake. Easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. One of the biggest advantages was the ample parking, which made coming and going very convenient. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free experience, and I would gladly stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The room was very comfortable and clean. The hot tub was great with a very convenient location near town and Lake Louise shuttle area. We appreciated the complementary coffee and tea and cookies as well! We would recommend this place!

If you like a room that backs onto the railroad this place is for you.
If you don't mind overpaying for a room this place is for you.
But when I pay well over $350.00 for a room, my expectations rise. The rooms were decent but overpriced.
But its the end of May in Lake Louise, maybe this is normal.

The suite we have was extremely spacious and it was lovely having a sofa/seating area with the kids in bunk beds. The space meant that the air conditioning wasn’t quite as loud as we found in other hotels, and we all slept brilliantly. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. The location was great and parking included was very helpful.

Arrived early, reception lady (dont know her name as she didnt introduce herself at all and her name badge always obscured by her hair), advised room not ready and to come back at 2.30 as room should be ready then. Came back 2.20 and was like never seen me before, no recollection skills at all and it is the quietest lobby in the world. Asked if room ready….”no not yet will message the cleaning staff”. At 2.50 another guest arrived, was greeted by her male colleague who said their room (exactly same as ours) was already ready and they could check in. I waited another 10 mins and asked again and was told yes your room is ready, she had not even been bothering to check even though we were sat in the lobby in front of her for 40mins and a room was ready already (not sure they are named individually to guests). We were only people waiting to check in and if i had not asked i think we would have still been sat there now, no effort and no customer service skills on her part and after checking in she then forgot to give me my passport back until we were leaving the building. Rooms well overpriced per night low season for a motel with some worn furniture and housekeeping that cannot seem to read the “please replenish amenities” card on door. Had to ask 2 days running. Key card stopped after 24hrs, same staff asked how long was i staying when advising her, i asked why room had not been replenished all day and told understaffed. Toenail from previous guests on room floor upon arrival.

Great location and excellent breakfast. Beds very comfortable. Easy parking. No fans or cold air conditioning in the room and with one small window, room was hot and stuffy at night. Controls were for heat only which would be great in winter but not in late May when temps reached low 20’s. Delivery vehicles delivering supplies and laundry beeping and reversing at 7 am right outside our room.

The front desk staff and breakfast room staff were outstanding. The hotel is a little dated but overall nice. My bed sheet did have a big tear in it, but everything was clean. I would definitely stay here again. Location was great, breakfast was good, and it was convenient to the activities we wanted to do.

We stayed at this lodge for two nights and had an excellent experience. Despite arriving late, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist, who was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary breakfast upgrade, and the breakfast offered a delicious selection with great variety.

The room was very clean, and the staff throughout our stay were welcoming, professional, and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

We had a sudden change of plans on a ski trip and found this hotel. The price was great, especially for a last minute booking. On first glance, the place looked great! Unfortunately there was a significant amount of black mold growing in the shower. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay. The staff was excellent and it had a good continental breakfast.

Abbie handled check-in beautifully. I had a couple of questions and one problem. Jane made everything right.
There were long black hairs on the shower wall when I checked in and it was still when I checked 6 days later.
Breakfast was good and the same every day.
Twice I put out the sign asking to have my room cleaned. Twice it was ignored.
Shuttle service to and from the ski station was on time, every time.
