Beautiful, tranquil setting surround by magnificent olive trees and close to things you want to do when staying in the area. Friendly staff attracted friendly guests. Some people stayed and relaxed in the hotel pools, spa and soaked up the Puglia sun in late October. Hotel was completely booked and we expected a mad house of activity. Rooms are spaciously set apart and enjoyed a quiet environment.

An exceptional hotel in a beautiful setting.

My wife and I stayed for only four nights as we had limited time for our holiday; however, we felt as if we had enjoyed a far longer break. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the option to head off to the beach club for a change of scenery and to the superb 'Saleblu' restaurant for a dinner at the water's edge. A truly memorable experience, not to be missed.

Really lovely masseria, beautiful grounds with a lovely pool. You can also go to their sister hotel on the beach. The breakfast was really good and the location is great.. we drove straight from Bari airport. Lots of things to see around - highlights include Alberobello & Polignano a Mare. I would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely come back.

Beyond our expectations

We booked the Melograno at the last minute, after Rome airport was closed due to fire and managing to secure a flight to Bari. From the moment we arrived, when the porter who was just leaving for the night turned his car round to come back into the hotel grounds and help us with our bags, the Melograno was just fantastic. It really is a quiet and beautiful location - the staff could not do enough to help us, recommending places to look at from the nearby (and it is really ideally located to visit Alberobello) to Lecce (just under an hour drive, but well worth seeing - we spent a whole day there and plan to go back for more) and even though there were two events happening in the banqueting areas, we were undisturbed.

Good but not value for money

Comfortable, clean and pleasant, in a nice setting, staff welcoming and helpful but overall experience could have been so much better
Room design very poor. Junior suite but large corridor area adjoining bedroom with spacious bathroom and tiny sitting room completely wasted space. Shower area unlit so showered in the dark. Beds pleasant and clean but only very basic construction and mattress hard.
Restaurant menu unchanged all week aside from fish of the day, with a complete absence of the vegetable variety clearly available in a rural area and seen in local markets.
So OK but not at this price!!

Exceptional quality

This not so much a hotel as a small and very intimate village amongst centuries old olive groves. Few rooms, each very spacious and well articulated. Large and varied complex of interesting spaces, with many different views, all filled with flowering bushes, olive and other fruit trees (many of which pomegranates, hence the name). Few staff but impeccable service that is formal yet friendly, with the particular quality of the people of Puglia that is warm but not overly familiar. The restaurant is top class with the specialities of the region as well as its own innovations and the breakfasts are worth getting up for. During our stay, the clientele appeared (with one exception) to be as discreet and pleasant as the surroundings. As of this summer, new management has taken over so one wonders whether the 6 partners from the North (Genova) will maintain the current level of charm and elegance. The place will shut this winter until Easter time with the stated objective or doing a major renovation. While there are certainly parts of \"Il Melograno\" that can benefit from some improvement, it would be unfortunate if the end result will be much more commercial. Giving the new team the benefit of the doubt, I have already recommended it to several friends. All of my family thought our week-long stay worth their time.

Exceptional country hotel.

Peace and tranquility abound in this hotel situated on a masseria which still produces its own olive oil. The grounds are exceptionally large and contain a wonderful pool and two tennis courts. Breakfast is served on the terrace next to the pool and is a generous feast of fresh fruit, ham, cheese and home made pastries. Staff are professional and friendly. The hotel has its own beach a few miles away. This is well equipped with loungers and umbrellas but is rather rocky and windswept.

There are several well furnished lounges and a large courtyard to enjoy an aperitif in the evening. The nearby town of Monopoli has a lovely old town and lots of restaurants and the all important gelateria. The hotel has plans to build a conference centre and host events such as weddings, hope it doesn't lose its charm in the process.

Excellent séjour au calme et à 2 pas de Monopoli
Attention cependant certaines chambres ont des entrées très basses ce qui est dangereux pour les personnes de plus d 1,75m qui doivent se pencher pour éviter de se taper la tête
Sinon le personnel est efficace et très agréable et le petit déjeuner délicieux

Kurzaufenthalt in Apuliens Herzen

Spontan gebucht, haben wir eine Nacht im Il Melograno verbracht. Das Hotel befindet sich unweit der Stadt Monopoli, ist sehr gepflegt und ausgezeichnet in Stand gehalten. Wir waren überrascht, dass die Anlage - trotz der Größe - nur über eine überschaubare Menge an Zimmern verfügt. Die Pool-Anlage wirkte sehr sauber und die Gärten (viele Oliven- und Orangenbäume) waren wunderschön. Die Zimmer waren - für unseren persönlichen Geschmack - zwar etwas alt (verglichen zu anderen Hotels in dieser Gegend), man merkte allerdings auch hier die Liebe zum Detail (Bademäntel, Slippers, Turn-Down-Service, persönliche Grußbotschaft beim Check-in). Leider war das Wetter während unseres Aufenthalts unerwartet schlecht, weshalb wir das Frühstück drinnen einnahmen. Der eigentliche Breakfast-Point (direkt neben dem Pool) wirkte hier deutlich einladender und bekam auch mehr Aufmerksamkeit des Personals. Über die Qualität des Frühstücks kann man allerdings nicht meckern. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Aufenthalt für uns.

Personale gentile e struttura gradevole.
Purtroppo non ci aspettavamo di trovare formiche in camera...capisco che la struttura sia immersa nel verde ma si dovrebbe trovare una soluzione definitiva per risolvere tale fastidiosa problematica (signore delle pulizie molto gentili e disponibili nel provare a risolvere il problema).
Poi dispiace non aver potuto usufruire della piscina al coperto e servizio SPA...avevo prenotato questa struttura (spendendo molto di più) sapendo del clima incerto e purtroppo mi sono ritrovato con la sola possibilità di usufruire della piscina all’aperto.
Ottima la qualità della colazione, ma dal mio punto di vista una struttura 5 stelle deve sempre avere tutto disponibile fino a chiusura, invece per ben 2 volte ho avuto una scelta limitata solo per essere arrivato in sala 30 minuti prima (e non sono pochi) della chiusura dell’orario di colazione.
Infine, a pranzo ho ordinato un’insalata di tonno che mi ha negativamente sorpreso data la pessima qualità dell’insalata (simile a busta del supermercato a 0,99€)...deludendo completamente le mie attese (visto il luogo, mi aspettavo un’insalata fresca del loro orto).
Nel complesso, una struttura da migliorare per il costo richiesto a notte.

Il punto di forza è sicuramente la struttura.
Ma la camera era troppo piccola, un pò vetusta e con problema di formiche. Anche la colazione è stata gestita in maniera non adeguata, occorreva fare la fila per il buffet e bisognava poi aspettare altri 15-20 minuti per le bevande. Sinceramente mi aspettavo di meglio da un albergo 5 stelle lusso

bel hôtel mais...

Un bel hôtel bien placé pour visiter les Pouilles, avec un personnel avenant et disponible. Les chambres sont très propres et le service de chambre parfait. piscines intérieure et extérieure très agréables. Toutefois, cet hôtel relève plus d’un quatre étoiles que d’un cinq étoiles : WC qui fuient, thermostatique de la douche défectueux, manque d’insonorisation dans les chambres (on sait tout ce qui se passe dehors ou chez les voisins), service du restaurant extrêmement long (30 minutes en moyenne entre les plats alors qu’il y a plus de personnel que de clients....), jus de fruit chimique au petit déjeuner, massage au spa effectué par une débutante.

Eigentlich hätte das Anwesen 4 oder 5 Sterne vulgo eine Bewertung von 9,5 verdient. Es ist sehr schön und auch gepflegt,wenn auch das eine oder andere Detail auch im Zimmer ein wenig abgewohnt ist.
Für ein SLH Hotel aber ein Nogo sind die
sehr lauten Zimmer ( Kategorie de luxe) die anscheinend dem „alten“ Masseruabereich zugefügt wurden und deren Schallisolierung mehr als mangelhaft ist ( von den nicht isolierten und daher knallenden Zimmertüren zu schweigen)
Auch dass der Beachclub ab 15 September geschlossen ist erfährt man erst bei Ankunft
Die angebotene Alternative im Schwesterhotel
Ist eher ein Scherz, zwar Sandstrand aber durch vorgelagerte Steine kein Meerzugang möglich. Dafür war das Restaurant dort sehr
gut
Andere Strandclubs hatten glücklicherweise offen

Leuk hotel met goede faciliteiten

Hotelgasten worden hier verwend en je krijgt nooit het gevoel dat je in een hotel logeert met toch net wat kamers. De laagbouw en de uitgestrektheid van het domein geeft rust en laat toe je volledig te relaxen. Alle kamers zijn vanuit de tuin te bereiken en de meeste kamers beschikken ook over een privé terras.
