Prime location to see the balloons at 6:00AM, staff is super nice and helpful and if you are going to balloon ride you couldn’t choose a better hotel…Royal is the No.01 balloon company in Göreme, which happens to run a hotel. Everything in Göreme is at walking distance and If you are claustrophobic to cave hotels this is a good option. The rooms are huge, no elevator though, and they do need a little updating and TLC.

Perfect place to spend a few days in cappadocia

We were only here for less than 72 hours but are very glad we chose this property. I didnt realize at the time of the booking that the hotel is the same as the operator under the name Royal Balloons. They helped me book a balloon flight for the day after our arrival. The sunrise was fully booked so we took the “daylight “ one just 45 min later. Still we had to wake up at 4 to be ready in the meeting point by 4:40…which happened to be our lobby. So keep in mind for first flight you will need to be ready by 4am to be taken to launch site. I guess folks staying elsewhere have to account for even more time if they are booked with Royal Balloons, in order to be brought here.

We booked a family deluxe suite which had a queen bed in the bedroom and two separate twins in the entry room. Perfect for our family of 4.

Both the hotel and the balloon flight worked out great for us. We happened to arrive on early flight from Istanbul landing at 12:40 and the shuttle arranged by the hotel was already waiting w our name among others. And we made it to hotel by 2 pm check-in time giving us rest of day to explore. Goreme is well situated to explore cappadocia. The town itself has a lot of shops and restaurants and easy 6-8 min walk away. Front desk gave us the idea to maybe rent car if we want instead of all day tour so we did for 24 hours and it let us explore at our timeline and the sites we wanted to go from the red tour.

Highly recommend this place for their friendliness and location

The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was good. The shuttle from and to the airport with them was ok, just 12 euros per way. The only thing that it was not ok was the air ballons price which they want it to charge me 230 euros, but on the main street of Goreme I got for 100 euros. I recommend to buy all the tour on the street not in the hotel ok.

The rooms are tidy and clean with all basic inclusions. The breakfast and dining area was really good. If you’re lucky, the rooms have a view of balloons which take off in the morning. If not, you can go to the terrace which is a comfortable place to view it as well.
The room I stayed in was otherwise small suited to a maximum of two. My only tip is to plan your pick up or shuttle if possible. Taxis cost to Göreme is about US 60 to US 70.

We were welcomed warmly and found our room clean and with fabulous bathrooms. Our balloon trip had been cancelled due to weather and the staff made every effort to book us on the next day. We had an amazing time and are very grateful to Royal Balloons and all the friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Royal Stone House (5 stars)

Royal Stone House is my favorite hotel in Goreme. I have stayed there 3 or 4 times over the years. The staff is amazing, wonderful breakfast every morning and wonderful views. You can see the hot air balloons rise when the weather is good enough for them to be in the air. Highly recommend Royal Stone House.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I initially wanted to experience a cave hotel, but the price here couldn’t be beat—it was much more affordable than the cave hotels. We also wanted space during our stay, and this place delivered. There were four of us, and the room included a separate living area, a bedroom area, and a huge bathroom that was almost the size of a standard hotel room.

They provided slippers, bathrobes, soaps, shampoos, shoehorns, shoe polish, and other thoughtful amenities. The food was great too. We had to leave early at 6 a.m., and they even prepared a to-go breakfast for us to take on our journey.

Very nice property. Very big room with balcony. Staff was also helpful. There was no lift but staff helped with rhe baggage. They also offer hit air balloon rides which was very convenient. My husband did not come with us for the Hot air bsllooonbut he was able to view the amaxing sight from the hotel terrace. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the main market with multiple restaurants and tourism offices offering different packages. All quad tours were also nearby. Really enjoyed our stay here. Goreme is one hour away from Kayseri airport and airport shuttles are convenient and economical way to travel at 12usd per person. Better to book it it ahead of time online. The hotel also arranges it for you.

We found the hotel to be very clean with staff very prompt in responding to any request.

The location is bit far from downtown center as you have to walk for 10- 15 mins for dinner/ lunch options
Best thing is that you get discounts to the Royal hot Balloon and you don’t have to go anywhere as the hotel is the starting point for all the hot balloon trip

Great hotel to stay! We are very impressed by friendly service from every staff we met in front desk, dining room & cleaners. Safe & quiet location, easy walking to town centre & attractions. The hotel crosses from beautiful red valley with walking distance. Their included breakfast is high quality. This hotel owns famous local hot air balloon company “Royal balloon Capadocia ”. Customer lives in this hotel gets discount for ride ( unfortunately our ride cancelled in last minute because weather conditions). Definitely recommend this hotel to people visiting Cappuccino.

Our stay was perfect. It could of been extra perfect if they offered a proper breakfast. The bread, cakes as nd other items were mostly left open and as a result food had flies and was dry. The room, staff, area, location. Everything about this place is perfect so perfect that we would stay here again and to be totally honest you can just walk to the cafe and buy a decent breakfast but it's a small place.

The room is so quiet, there is no any noise you can hear from the next door since the stone wall is so thick. I am a little picky for the cleaness, this is why I rated for four star. The property condition is just fine. A bit distant from main Goreme town so usually sold at a decwnt price but when it comes to the attitude of the staff, at times it is simply pathetic. The room on third floor was just ok for a sleep over. There was hardy any wifi signal on that floor. Kept uaing phone data. Later on noticed that the wifi router is placed on ground floor only.
Had to escilate a staff relatws issue to the senior member of the hotel managemwnt and was surpriaed to hear \"if you dont like our hotel do not book it in future.\"
They need to know that being expedia gold members we are Expedia's customers and we have all the rights to book any propsrty listed there.

A highly over rated property in Goreme town. The rooms are clean and ita a pretty nice small scal scale hotel on some 10-12 min walk from main Goreme bazar. But the staff attitude was not very pleasing a year ago ans has not improved till date. Last year we stayed here being part of a large school trip and had booked multiple rooms and had faced similar unpleasant attitude of the check in staff as was the case today. I dont know how many travelers count the staff skills as more important than any feature of the hotel but in my opinion this is the first and important most guage to measure a hotel.

The hotel is of an excellent standard. Clean spacious rooms, great breakfast selection, easy parking. The hotel is also associated with the best ballooning company in town which I would highly recommend. The staff were very helpful, including finding a garage that could service the flat tire on my rental car. The hotel is located a few minutes flat/easy walk from the centre of town.

Nice stay at mother natures paradise. Clean, big bathroom with bathtub, heated floor, also ac_heater. Nice breakfast buffet with hot dishes . Fruits basket every evening saving us a lot. Nice pollite and very helpful personal. Free parking on site with plenty of space.
What could be improved.
Bathtub a little dated.
It is slight chance that just because not much guests you can endup with kind of limited set breakfast. You can ask things to add, but this just inconvenient.

Located on a ten monutes walk from the Goreme city center, it is a pretty decent property with good value for money. The rooms are clean and decent. The only thing that bothered was the shower which was throwing water in every possible direction.
They serve complimentary breakfast which was good, specially considering the room charges it was fine. The front desk guys can speak English which was quite convenient. If you are elite member of any hotel program and are used to extra mile courtesy and helpfulness by the staff, you wont find it here But if you relate it to the price you are paying you should be happy.

Quaint, beautiful place w/ SUPERB STAFF

Checking in was fast & easy. Place is clean, beautiful and quiet. Doesn't have to be luxurious to be super comfortable. But the staff is honestly the best part of this experience. They book everything for you and are so understanding. I could tell they really care. So I booked a balloon tour with them not knowing my friend also booked a different one for me and him both. I had to cancel the night before because he had already paid for us, but they were so understanding even though it was last minute. IF YOU'RE READING THIS THANK YOU ROYAL STONE HOUSES STAFF FOR MAKING MY TRIP TO GOREME MEMORABLE!

The hotel is situated away from the center of town, u need a car to get there if u have baggage. Even if no baggage it is still quite a walk. Hotel is fine but old and in need of renovation. Breakfast was good. Downside is the stairs and the fact that there is no elevator and no one to help u with ur bags. Rooms are very spacious and nice, the beds are very hard and old i had trouble sleeping for 2 nights i spent there. The reception is separated from the rooms which is u have to go out to pass to ur room and vice versa, so good luck if it is raining (hotel provided umbrellas). Over all a good 3 star hotel for price we paid, no more.

RSH is a very good value for money option in Goreme. The staff at RSH did everything to make sure we had a fantastic stay. They were incredibly helpful with booking tours and buses. Their hot air balloon tours are slightly more expensive than others but if you want the best experience I would definitely recommend going with them.

Location: This hotel is a great option if you don't want to stay in a cave hotel but still want a taste of 'true' Cappadocia. 5 minute walk from Goreme centre, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and cute little shops, at a price that is hard to beat.

Staff: Staff are exceptional and look after you in every way, making you feel very welcome. They went out of their way for us on several occasions, and without us asking at times!

Room: We were upgraded to a suite with balcony, free of charge, having booked a hot air balloon ride with the hotel (highly recommend). The room was spacious and clean, although a little tired looking.

Amenities: The hotel provides breakfast but not dinner. This wasn't a problem, as there are lots of restaurants to choose from 5 mins away and, on one night when there was a storm, they ordered food to be delivered to the hotel for us.

I have already recommended this hotel to my family and friends and would book again on my next trip to Cappadocia. Definitely book the hot air balloon ride - expensive but a 'must do' and well worth the money.
