The desk clerk was sweet. I came in late in the evening.

I saw a flea jump off the counter when I set my bag down which was very disconcerting. The hairdryer was broken, which I didn't know until I needed it. There was a big light out front that was blinking like a strobe because, as the clerk said, it got wet in the rain. I asked to be moved way from it because the strobe would have kept me up. There were two separate homeless people milling around, which also made me fear my car would be broken into.
It was wierd and almost humorous to see the paper strip around the toilet seat, indicating it was cleaned, then lift the lid and see a dirty tissue in there.

The clerk came out to my car to tell me the power in the surrounding area would be turned off at 8am, so I'd have to have my shower by then. (That's not their fault, and he kindly told me.)

That said, it was cleaner than other hotels in the area. The shower curtain was not ripped. The heater worked.
The bed had white sheets which allowed me to feel confident there were no bed bugs.

I woke at 2:20am, did some work and was out by 4:30 am. This place isn't as bad as the Lamplighter Inn, and cost about the same. I paid $100 or so, which is to say, one can't expect the world. They definitely DO need quality control, but some things are out of their control like the unfortunate location.

The motel is rundown and not as clean as in the photos. The chair in the room had a visible stain and the room wasn't as clean as I expect.

The area didn't feel safe either and there was noise outside the room from people just hanging out outside until at least 11pm.

It also said that dogs were acceptable for an additional fee, which is originally why I had booked this place, but luckily my plans changed and I didn't bring my dog, as when I arrived they mentioned there was a large fine if there was a dog brought into the room.

I will never stay here again and advise others to consider other options.

Room had split in bottom of bath tub that they taped up with duct tape. Shower head old. Paint coming off wall in bathroom. Toilet seat not tightened down Beds were hard. Didn’t get out. King size bed we asked for. Would definitely not stay here again. Not the best area either.

I got therecat 1030 am i had early check in it was 85 outside i knew it was going to be hot thats why i got a place with a pool. The pool was closed and was being used as a starage place. There was cobwebs in my bathromm hair in the drain cigarette burn marks all over the tub. The extra lock on the door was ripped off sheets staind and dirty. When i got there there was a man in the office coughing bad sores all over his legs in a very small office and the office guy didnt even clean up the mess.

It wasnt what I expected. The microwave smelled like popcorn when we didnt use it. The phone line was disconnected( we didn't realize it was unplugged until we went to sleep). The computer chair had 2 broken wheels on it. There was tape on the ceiling. There was a white patch on the wall while the rest of the wall was blue like there was a hole there. There was a hole(burnt like) on the shower curtain. Tv control wasn't working with the tv other than power on/off. Tv turned off on its own.

Check in was easy, but beyond that, it was not positive. The room smelt aweful when we walked in, there were spiders in the sink, the shower curtain was falling off the wall, the bed sheet had holes.
We had reservations for 3 nights prepaid. We removed our belongings after night 2, but ended up needing the room on night 3. They had locked us out of the room. At midnight we had to pound on the window to get a new key.
The owner refused to give us a receipt.
I was very disappointed This is a Wyndham hotel, yet does not have the standards of a wyndham.
I would never recommend this hotel and Wyndham should reevaluate their site

We did not stay here!! Had reservations, but cancelled through Expedia. The pool WATER WAS GREEN. Trash and junked furniture all over the property. Filthy laundry, which wasn’t working. The manager told Expedia rep (Rose) that they were cleaning pool as we spoke, which was a LIE! We went back to the hotel to check, and they were not! Nothing but LAZY people who work here and obviously don’t care about how the hotel looks. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Booked the room because we wanted to use the pool. Called ahead of time and was told the pool was open. Nope, pool closed for at least two more weeks before its cleaned. Front desk gave me a hard time because i got the cheaper rate online. Place is gross, left and went around the corner to Best Western and swam with the kids all aftrnoon and got a good night sleep.

Orbitz had checkin at 2pm, hotel had 3pm. Since we arrived before 3pm, we asked if we could check-in early. Apparently, for an extra $15, we could (thanks, but no thanks)!
Room was clean, had a refrigerator, microwave and cable. Downside was the constant drone of the mini-fridge and curtains that didn’t cover the entire window, and traffic noise.

There’s a best western less than a block away. I should’ve stayed there.
Cleanliness was acceptable.
We had a king bed with only three Uncomfortable pillows.

Would have been a fine trip if i had been able to exprience it. When i wdnt to check in i was told no rooms were available (even though i explained i booked in advance through this site) and then i was charged for cancellation even though it wasnt my fault in any way. I was called then at 11pm to be asked if id still be checkin into my rooms. By the same man i talked to earlier that morning and had told me they had no rooms. And he apologized saying he misunderstood and made a mistake. I get a discount next time though which makes up for me and my family and dog almost having to sleep in our car. 🙄

DON’T STAY HERE!

As we walked into the room I was dismayed. Not sure the bed was made. Paint peeling off the ceiling. Walls are paper thin. Could hear people walking upstairs and noise from the street. Called the front desk. Told that the front desk doesn’t have towels and I would have to wait until the maid arrived (at check-out time???). Nothing special. Very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and all the amenities. In the room itself there's a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, and an iron with an ironing board. The free wifi wasn't slow and the entire transaction was a breeze. There are even vending machines, ice, and laundry machines available outside, as well as a pool.
The only thing I didn't like is that the bed was a bit too firm for me, but I am overweight and have a sway back, so I need something a little more shape conforming. It's fine for most people, none of my kids had trouble sleeping.

The front desk is extremely kind and helpful. There wasn't a desk or table in the room and they got me one. There wasn't an ironing board in the room and they got me one. The curtains were installed in a way that someone walking by can look in your room directly to your bed, so I leaned the ironing board against them to press the curtain to the wall. The bed was old and not comfortable at all. Linens have holes in them. They tried hard but some attention and care could be taken to rectify such things.

Computer was down at check in so I had to come back later. The insulation between rooms wasn’t very good and could hear the conversations in the next room. Beds and pillows very firm, felt like sleeping on a rock. In room coffee was only provided for one person. No water pressure for the shower and no plug for the tub. If I stay again I’ll bring my own pillows and extra blankets. I’ll bring a plug for the tub too. Doubt I’ll be staying again though.

The room was dirty, it looked like throw up all on the bathroom wall and door. No wifi, AC was not working. When we called the front desk the guy said all of the AC are the same. 35 degree weather with no working AC. When I checked in the gave me the key with no sleeve. He said do to Covid he was not ordering the key envelopes. Key was filthy. I will never stay here again, I travel to Clear lake every other weekend to visit my sister. I have stayed in different hotels and this one has been the worse so far. I will be disputing this charge since he did not want to accommodate me and my family.

Service was not the best. They get bothered when you ask for the wifi password and the morning of our checkout the manager knocked on the door and didn’t wait for us to open he just opens the door himself knowing we were still there. Checkout is at 11am he went around 9:30 am. In a previous stay they wanted to kick us out because they thought we hadn’t paid an extra day when the reality was that we had paid. Overall customer service is not good if you can find another hotel around the area you will be better off.

An okay place to stay for the week for business

I will say that one good thing about the place is that it was right off the highway. There was a Taco Bell you could walk to from the hotel, and a small gas station across the street. Even a decent Chinese restaurant there. However, that being said, the bathtub had no way of plugging up the drain hole to take a bath in (I had to go and buy my own drain plug from a local hardware store). Another thing, the air conditioner unit had a missing cover so even though I could get cold air coming in, because of the smoke from the wildfires in the area, I wasn't sure how clean the air was coming in without the vent covering. Parking was a bit limited, but I was able to find one close to my room. At least, the drive to my work place wasn't too far (so I'll give them that positive point).

But the dude had integrity. The rooms have recently been remodeled and the beds were extremely comfortable. I frequently travel to Clearlake for fishing tournaments. I’ll be staying here again.

We called ahead for a late check-in and were greeted with attitude and disdain for our presence. The staff tosses our cards around and seemed annoyed with our arrival time. When we arrived to our room, we opened the door and another guest was sleeping inside!

When we returned to the front desk they asked me 3 times if I was sure about the room being occupied. After several minutes of exchange they finally assigned us to a different room double queen when we had booked a king. Don’t bother booking here.

Clear lake halfway hotel!

My room was totally refurbished and very clean and comfortable. The room was a \"smart room \" with great lighting and internet access.
The outside of the hotel was old and beat up. Upper hallways were covered with old torn and rotted carpets. There was a pool but it was empty and inaccessible. The hotel advertises breakfast but not available until after 7 am. Old cornflakes, apples, and fake orange juice. There was no fresh brew coffee.
The young man that worked there was very nice and hospitable. He went out of his way to help guests in every way.
The worst problem was the amount of homeless people that were always loitering on and around the property at all hours of the day and night.
No early check in was allowed or late check in was allowed. I had to pay for an entire night to check out at 4 pm. Eventhough check in was at 3pm.
So close yet so far from getting it right!!!
